Della returned to work twelve weeks after giving birth. It worked out pretty well with taking the baby to the office. Perry had already let his clients know that his baby girl would be there and he wasn't changing his mind. He even put a sign on the door to let potential clients know that the baby was there. Della didn't think she'd be able to get anything done with the baby there, but it wasn't that bad. Once she got into the swing of things, it was incredibly easy. She just couldn't take the baby to court. They had hired a woman named Jenny to babysit when need be. The girl was in her early twenties. She would go to the office and watch Maureen while Perry and Della were in court.

Within days of returning to work, Perry and Della had to make a trip to British Colombia to deal with a contested will. They had asked Jenny to go with them and offered to pay for everything. The couple didn't know how long they'd be gone and didn't want to leave the baby for long. Plus, Della would be busy at times and unable to care for the little one. Once it was over, Della talked her husband into taking a cruise ship home. Perry and Della were on the deck, staring at the moon one night. Perry had his arm around his wife. "Perry, Della," Jenny called. The couple turned and saw the young woman walking over with the baby and another young woman about her age. "Sorry to interrupt, but this is Laura Houser. She's in the room next to me and wanted to meet the two of you."

"How do you do, Miss Houser," Perry said.

"It's a pleasure to meet the parents of this little beauty," Laura said as she gestured towards Maureen.

"I hope she didn't keep you up last night," Della said.

"Not a bit."

Maureen had stayed with Jenny the night before because the baby had fallen asleep before her parents could pick her up. They had a date night and Jenny told them to not hurry back. "Well," Della reached for her daughter, "I believe we owe Jenny a little fun. Take the rest of the night off."

Laura looked behind her and saw an older couple. She had them come over, "Mr. and Mrs. Mason, these are my parents, Carl and Anna Houser."

The two couples greeted one another, "what a beautiful baby," Anna said.

"Takes after her mother," Perry smiled.

"Come on, Jenny," Laura said, "let's go meet Roy and Tom."

Jenny looked at the Masons, "have me paged if you need anything."

"Thank you, but don't worry, just have fun," Perry said.

The two young women left. "We were about to get a drink," Carl said, "would you like to join us?"

"Maybe a little later," Perry said.

The older couple smiled and left. Perry placed his arm around his wife and baby. The two stared at the moon and noticed that it also grabbed Maureen's attention. Perry saw his wife slightly shiver. He took his jacket off and placed it over her shoulders, "thank you," Della smiled.

"Why don't we go inside?"

"It is a bit chilly now. Too chilly for a baby."

Perry guided his wife inside as she continued to hold Maureen. They went to a small bar and saw Anna Houser talking to a man she introduced them to as Roland Carter. Perry greeted him and led his wife and baby to a table where they sat. They both had juice instead of alcohol. Neither felt comfortable drinking on a ship with Maureen. Later, Mrs. Houser walked over and asked to speak with Perry. He gave her his chair and stood by Della. Anna, however, decided she wanted to speak in private where no one could see them. Perry paid the bill and the couple followed her to her room. She explained how her husband came into a great deal of money. Money that was also equal to the amount stolen from his former employer. "I'd like him to be able to return the rest of the money without being prosecuted."

"You'll have to hand the money over to me," Perry said, "can you manage?"

"I will somehow."

"Perry," Della whispered, "Maureen's asleep. I'm going to take her back to the room."

"I'll come with you." He turned towards Anna, "let me know when you have the money and we'll arrange to return it." Perry and Della left the room to head towards their own. The two ran into Jenny in the hall.

"Already done having fun?"

"Yeah," she said, "it looks like it's gonna storm, so I thought I'd head back." Jenny looked at Maureen, "she's so sweet when she's asleep. Well, good night."

"Good night," the couple said.

Perry waited to make sure Jenny was in her room before taking Della and Maureen to theirs. Della gently placed Maureen in the bassinette the ship had sent them. "Della, why don't you get ready first?"

"Okay," she smiled. Fifteen minutes later, her makeup was off, her teeth were brushed, and she was in her pajamas. Then Perry went to change. The ship started rocking back and forth quite a bit. A siren went off that woke up Maureen. The captain was telling everyone to return to their rooms because someone went overboard and they needed to find out who. Della held a crying Maureen and tried to soothe her.

Perry walked out and saw his wife sitting up in bed with a fussy baby, "need some help?"

"She's starting to calm down. Will you get a diaper and pajamas for her?"

"Sure," Perry grabbed the items and changed his daughter. The little girl reached for her mother. Perry handed Maureen to Della.

"Perry, I don't want her to sleep in that bassinette tonight. What if it falls over?"

"Don't worry, dear. She'll be fine in bed with us." Suddenly, there was a loud knock at the door. Perry went to answer it and found Laura Houser.

"Oh, Mr. Mason, it was my father who went overboard and they think my mother pushed him. She's been arrested."

Perry told the girl he'd help her mother and sent her back to her room. When he returned to the bed, he saw his two girls, asleep. Perry smiled and took a quick picture before joining them.

The next day, the ship docked and Anna Houser was taken away by the authorities. Perry and Della stayed with Laura to comfort her before leaving the ship. Perry took Jenny home and had Laura go with her. He and Della took Maureen to the office to start on Anna's defense. They took the baby so Jenny could focus on comforting Laura. Anna ended up being acquitted. Laura and Jenny decided to remain friends and become roommates. Laura continued to see Roy while Jenny continued to see his friend Tom. Jenny did make it clear to Tom, that her job was extremely important to her. She loves the Mason family as if they're her own.
