It was just two days until Astrid and Hector had been married for a year and three months. The couple was happy and contently living together while working their jobs. Hector had it down how to handle things as CEO, and Astrid had being a secretary down. Financially, everything was stable too; both of them were thrilled to not be stressing over money anymore. All their friends were doing great too, and Hector knew that Flynn was planning to propose to Heather over Christmas this year. Also that Cassandra and Theodore had started dating, but that wasn't a secret to only Hector. The friends all knew that. Life was going well and everyone was happy. Hector and Astrid made the jump into sharing the same room, they both liked being able to sleep in the same bed and cuddle up to one another whether it was a night they had sex or not. Plus, Hector admitted to Astrid that the bed in the master was originally his from his parents' house and he missed it. This happened about a month ago, so one of the weekends they were both off from work was spent moving Hector's things back into the room and leaving the other space as just his office. The two were beyond happy together, and glad things went the way that they did. And the two were in agreement to never tell their parents that forcing them to get married, despite how much they hated it, actually brought them closer together. No, Hector and Astrid would never give their folks the satisfaction of knowing their arranged marriage actually set the wheels in motion for them to get along and learn to like one another. Also, another big factor was just last week, Hector and Astrid started saying I love you to one another. It happened out of the blue, and after making love. Astrid said it first and after only a moment of silence, Hector said it back.

Of course, the next day; the two did talk about it over breakfast and agreed the feelings they had were stronger than before and mutually at the same level. Now, today, Hector and Astrid were at work and Hector was in a meeting with potentially, another partner. Astrid was in her place at reception, but not quite feeling herself. Astrid didn't have a fever, but she felt unwell and was staying on water and some crackers to help settle the mild nausea.

"Ugh…What's wrong with me?" Astrid sighed out, sitting back in her chair.

"Hey, Ast…Are you okay. You don't look like you are," Said one of her coworkers.

"Just a bit queasy," Astrid admitted.

"Something you ate? You looked alright this morning," Her friend replied.

"Maybe," Astrid shrugged. "You got this for a sec? I'm gonna use the bathroom."

Her coworker gave a thumbs up as Astrid got up and headed for the bathroom. Inside, she did her business and went to the sink to wash her hands, but the nausea hit hard and she quickly dashed back into the stall and threw up in the toilet. Astrid coughed, spitting out the remainder in her mouth and took a few breaths. "I must be getting sick," Astrid sighed, really not wanting to be. Astrid flushed again, heading back to the sink to wash out her mouth and then cleaned her hands. Astrid returned to her spot in time to take another call.

. . .

(1:45 pm)

Astrid was feeling worse and eventually, the coworker decided to say something to the manager when she was on break. Upon returning, Astrid greeted her with a smile, but was on the phone with someone. After the call was sent to wherever they caller wanted to go, the manager approached.

"Astrid," The woman got her attention. "Word around reception is that you look unwell. So now I'm asking if you're feeling alright?"

"Just a bit tired and queasy, but I'm okay. The water helps," Astrid smiled.

"And if word gets to your husband that we knew you weren't feeling well and still working, we're all getting in trouble." The manager informed.

"Hector isn't like that. And he'd understand that I chose to work, so it wouldn't be on you." Astrid stated.

"Regardless, we don't need anyone else to fall ill. From here, I can see that you're not okay. Why don't you go home for the day and rest?" The manager offered.

Astrid sighed and nodded, not wanting to argue. She took off her headset and began getting her things. It just so happened that as she was getting her purse strap onto her shoulder, Hector exited the elevator and walked up to the desk. "Afternoon, Milady," Hector smiled.

"Hi, babe," Astrid replied gently. "I thought you were in an important meeting until 3 pm?" She wondered.

"We're taking a few minutes to stretch our legs and order a late lunch. Are you heading on your break? Would you like to join me upstairs?" Hector offered.

"I wish I could, babe. I'm actually packing up and heading home, though." Astrid told him softly.

"What, why? I though worked until 5 pm today?" Hector stated.

"I did, but I'm not feeling so great…So my manager is sending me home to rest." Astrid informed.

"I'll walk you to your car then," Hector smiled lightly. Astrid nodded, waving to her manager and coworkers, then coming around the desk to walk with Hector. "What's bothering you, babe?" He asked.

"It started as some fatigue, then I was queasy. I've stayed on water and crackers all day, but about forty-five minutes ago; I threw up after using the bathroom," Astrid enlightened.

"You threw up almost an hour ago and still tried to work? Was your manager being unfair and making you?" Hector asked.

"No, not at all. She didn't even know. I think my coworker next to me told her. I have a slight headache now and just want to get some sleep," Astrid said.

Soon, they were at her car. "Text me when you get home. Take some meds and try to rest, okay? I should be out of here by 3:30 or 4 pm. I love you. Keep me posted on how you feel?" Hector hoped.

"I will, babe. I'll see you later. Love you too," Astrid kissed his cheek and then got into her car. Hector backed up as Astrid bucked herself, then started the car and headed out of the parking lot. Hector headed back inside the building as the meeting would soon reconvene.

Astrid got home around 2:15 pm and checked on Stormfly and Toothless first, making sure they had water and food before she used the bathroom and climbed into bed. Astrid did send a text to Hector, let him know the dragons were okay and she was going to take a nap. Astrid left her phone to charge and soon fell asleep. Hours went by as Astrid was woken up by the sound of the bedroom door opening. Tiredly, Astrid opened her eyes when she saw Hector coming over to the bed.

"Hi, babe. Welcome home," Astrid yawned.

"Thanks. How are you feeling?" Hector wondered.

"Still tired, nauseated," Astrid replied gently. "What time is it?"

"4:30 pm," Hector responded. "I got out a bit late. Sorry. Ran into Selena, talked for a bit."

"Yeah, how is she?" Astrid inquired.

"She's alright. Learning the family business with her dad, who I had the meeting with today. She apologized for her father's over-reaching and caught up on life since high school. She's happy for us, joked about maybe we'd do another wedding. A willing one." Hector laughed a little and Astrid smiled. "She told me she's got a boyfriend, it's been steady and good."

"Sounds like everything is going well for her. What'd you tell her about the second willing wedding?" Astrid questioned.

"I said I'd leave it up to you, but I think even though we came together through an arranged marriage…It has more meaning that we learned to love from the hate," Hector shrugged, then checked her forehead. "You don't have a fever, that's good. How's your stomach?"

"Still a bit off. I've been sleeping all this time, so haven't tried to eat," Astrid stated. "I'm sorry I haven't cooked."

"Babe, don't worry about it. I'm sure you would have if you were feeling better. And originally, we were off at the same time. So it's okay." Hector reassured. "I'm sure I can handle cooking for us. Or just me, if you're not up to eating,"

"I can try to eat a li-," Astrid stopped short, sitting up quickly and covering her mouth. Hector grabbed the bedside trash and brought it to her as Astrid threw up twice. Astrid breathed hard, trying to make sure she didn't puke again. Hector finally moved the trash away when Astrid gave it a small push, and then he got her the water bottle from his jacket. Astrid took a few long drinks and laid back. "That's a no on eating…I'm sorry."

"Hey, it's okay, Milady. You just rest," Hector reassured, kissing her forehead. "I'll come join you after dinner, okay?" Astrid nodded to him. "I'll take this and clean it for you. Do you need anything else?" He asked.

"Maybe a fresh water, but that's it," Astrid said.

"You got it," Hector left with the trash, then returned about ten minutes later with a clean-lined trash, and cold water bottle. It was one of the ones that kept things cold longer. "Here, love," Hector set the items down for her. Of course, he noticed she was already back to sleep, so he kissed her forehead and made sure she was covered before leaving the room with the door cracked a bit. Hector went to shower, and after that he'd make something for dinner and relax until it was time for bed.

(Saturday, 11/23/19; 9:00 am)

Hector and Astrid had the day off today, and since Astrid's stomach was still feeling off; they were staying in to watch some TV and movies. However, Astrid didn't think she was sick with the flu or any illness and for one very specific reason. Her period was five days late. Astrid knew she had to tell Hector, but didn't know how to bring it up. Astrid now sat on the couch as Hector had taken a quick call from the office, but now he was coming out of his office and joining her on the couch.

"Sorry about that, babe," Hector informed with a smile. "Now, I'm officially all yours today."

Fiddling with her fingers, Astrid finally looked at Hector. "Hector, before we do anything…There's something I need to tell you,"

"What is it? Everything okay?" Hector inquired.

"So you…Know I've been feeling off since Friday," Astrid began.

"Yeah, why? Are you…Getting worse? Do you want to go to urgent care?" Hector asked quickly.

"No…But I might need to make an appointment with doctor for Monday," Astrid informed.

"Why? What's going on, Milady? You know you can tell me anything," Hector pushed gently.

"Hector…Uh…My period is late," Astrid decided to just say. Hector's eyes widened a little. "And I think I might be pregnant."

"H-How late is your period?" Hector managed to get out after a moment.

"Five days today. I should have gotten it on the 19th, but I was so miserable and sick that day I didn't even consider it didn't come," Astrid replied. "But I'm tired, still nauseated at random, my breasts hurt. I realized it today, the no period thing when an alert came up on my phone about not having entered data on my period tracker app for my phone. It asked me have you gotten your period today." She explained.

"You're not just…Stressed or anything?" Hector tried and Astrid shook her head. "Do you…Want me to run to the store down on the corner and get you a pregnancy test? So we can no for sure and not…Panic the next two days until the appointment you're gonna make?"

"Could you, please? I'd come, but I don't trust myself on the car ride…" Astrid told him.

"It's okay. I'll go with Toothless and be back in a flash." Hector got up, giving her a light kiss on the lips and then heading into the backyard to get his dragon. Astrid just sat on the couch, curious and a little nervous. Despite the talks, she was only eighteen and might possibly be pregnant. It wasn't too long before Hector returned holding a bag. "I got you two of them. One of the older line ones and also a digital. Is it okay to take them now? They say to use first urine of the morning,"

"That's for if you're taking it before you're missed period. I'm past mine, so if I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant…" Astrid accepted the bag and headed for the bathroom.

"I'll wait out here," Hector told her as Astrid nodded and entered the bathroom. She quickly unboxed the two tests and read over the directions for each. Astrid grabbed did her business on both tests, then capped them as she cleaned up while they sat on the counter. Astrid flushed and washed her hands, opening the door for Hector to wait with here. "How long?" He wondered.

"Usually 3-5 minutes," Astrid sat down, the nausea kicking up a bit. Hector got her some water, glancing at the tests.

"Everything will be okay. We…Talked about this a few times. It's just a baby, if you are. We'll turn my office into a nursery, and I can put my stuff in the living room, or our bedroom, babe. Don't freak out. We're settled in our jobs, we're doing great. This would just be a new challenge for us. We handled being arranged to marry one another, going from hate to love. I think we can handle a baby," Hector reassured his wife.

"Would we go into fully being married, not the dating and living together arrangement?" Astrid wondered.

"To me, personally…Ever since we officially got together, willingly. I've considered us married. We are married, babe. We have been for over a year now. It started out bad, but we conquered it and this is where we are now. So yes, I'm already fully embracing the marriage." Hector responded.

"I think it's…Been enough time," Astrid mentioned as she moved over to stand next to her husband. The two looked over and sure enough, one test had two very defined pink lines. The other clearly read pregnant. "I'm…Pregnant. Oh, my Gods, I'm pregnant…" She gasped, looking to Hector.

He nodded. "We're gonna have a baby!" Hector hugged her tightly. "I'm happy. I didn't think I would be about this at my age, but-,"

"No, no, I get it. I was just thinking the same thing. If we were in any other situation; this wouldn't work. We'd be super stressed and probably fighting," Astrid agreed. "Alright…So, I have to call my doctor on Monday, get an appointment…" She added.

"Are we telling everyone?" Hector wondered.

"I think we should keep it to ourselves, for now. Have the appointment, get the ultrasound and expected due date. Oh, idea! Let's…Tell everyone at Christmas?" Astrid suggested.

"That's a great idea, babe. Yes, we'll tell everyone at Christmas," Hector nodded. "Gives us time to plan the perfect way to tell them," The two hugged again, then shared a kiss.

"Should we…Go celebrate, privately?" Astrid wondered, curiously looking into her husband's eyes.

"Is that safe?" Hector inquired.

"We did it all this time no problems…" Astrid countered.

"So true, but we're not going all at it. I'm sure you don't wanna be sore, or get nauseous again," Hector chuckled.

"Let's go," Astrid practically dragged Hector out of the bathroom and down the hall to their bedroom.

And despite it being 9:30 in the morning, the happy couple got right into making love to one another to celebrate the pregnancy. It was something to be nervous about, but they would do it together. And surprisingly, they were very excited to become parents. They were happily married, and now starting a family. It was as if everything was working out perfectly and neither of them could wait for the future.
