A/N: Hi y'all, hope you enjoy it!
Peter pulls up his phone, bringing up MJ's number and their texts.
Peter
Where r u?
MJ
Eating lunch y?
Peter
I've got good news!
I'll come and find u.
Peter pockets his phone before moving towards the communal eating area. He spots MJ the second he steps in there; she's absorbed in a book and barely registers Peter when he comes to sit down. She does eventually look up at him and meets his excited eyes.
"I'm gonna go and see a therapist." He says and she smiles a genuine smile at him.
"Seriously, dude that's great."
"Yeah, Mr Stark found one and wants me to see her this afternoon."
"Isn't it all a bit quick?"
"I mean, yeah it is a lot quicker than I was expecting but I think the sooner the better. I need this MJ and I think Mr Stark knows that." He says earnestly. She ponders over the statement for a few minutes before nodding and placing her hand on Peter's.
"I'm happy for you Parker, I mean it. I just want you to be sure that this is the right thing for you." She replies with true sincerity in her voice. Peter barely hears her because his heart is beating so loudly in his chest. After all, her hand is resting on his. She quickly realizes where her hand is and takes it away, blushing.
"I'll see you later Peter." She adds on, her voice full of hope, it makes him smile and nod as he gets up. She goes back to her book but watches him leave through her eyelashes. Maybe, just maybe, they stand a chance after all she thinks as she goes back to her book.

MJ sits in her room waiting patiently for a text from Peter to let her know he's out of his therapy session. She'd tried to read her book but her mind just kept wandering and she couldn't help but think of Peter and what might come of them.
Looking outside she notices the rain pattering against her window. With a smile, she gets off her bed and throws on her coat before heading to the roof. She sends Peter a quick text, letting him know that she's on the roof and opens the door. She takes a seat on the edge and looks out at the world around her.
The city lights twinkle in the distance, a haze of smog clouds the lights making them a little less sharp. There's a faint sound of cars in the distance, quiet enough that it's not heard unless you're listening for it. The air is fresher up here than anywhere else.
Breathing in MJ feels her tension about meeting Peter loosen immediately. The rain begins to get a little heavier, fatter droplets landing on her but she doesn't mind because it smells wonderful.
"Beautiful isn't it," Peter says making MJ jump, almost causing her to fall off the building. He sticks his arm out and grabs her waist to ensure she doesn't fall but he doesn't let go once she's stable. Instead, he steps in closer, their faces inches apart from one another.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to make you jump." He breaths quietly. She barely hears his apology and nods ever so slightly. She's surrounded by his cologne and aftershave, an almost intoxicating smell that makes her hyperaware of how close they are to each other.
"How did it go?" She whispers to him.
"Good, really good." He replies in the same quiet voice. She looks him in the eye and she can tell he's telling the truth.
All the reasons that she came up with as to why they couldn't be together goes out the window when he leans in to kiss her. Their lips touch and sparks fly, her hand moves up to his neck and he pulls her closer towards him. When they part for air they rest their foreheads against each other, both breathing deeply.

At the entrance to the roof stood Tony and Steve.
"Maybe they didn't need any help after all," Tony suggests to Steve who just chuckles lightly.
"Indeed," Steve replies before pulling Tony closer to him and kissing him deeply. Tony lets out a surprised grunt before wrapping his arms around Steve's neck.
oOo
Two happy couples kiss in the rain.
Maybe Peter doesn't think he's perfect but to MJ, he's flawless. Maybe MJ doesn't think she doesn't deserve anything but to Peter, she deserves the world.
Maybe Tony doesn't always feel like he's worth anything but to Steve, he's worth the universe. Maybe Steve sees himself as nothing but to Tony, he's everything.
Everyone has someone who looks out for them, sometimes they just need a reminder that they are there. Look out for your someone.
A/N: I think this is going to be the last part. I've been having too much writers block so I figured that I might as well just wrap it up. I might add some more in the distant future but for now, this is it. I'll probably start a new Avengers fic but not right now because I have some other ideas. Anyway, hope y'all enjoyed it.
