When Nancy and Ace became parents, she felt a brief pang of sadness for her mothers, that they weren't there to revel in the joy of the moment. But she had her husband, both dads, and their family, and she shook it off quickly. The two of them stared into the bassinet at their daughter, Katherine, unable to keep their eyes off the newborn. "You do realize she's not going anywhere, right?" Carson teased, although he too was besotted by his granddaughter.

"She's brand new. Let us have this," Nancy snarked back at her father, but it fell flat due to how sappy she was feeling.

"She's still so tiny," an awed Ryan whispered, scared he'd wake her up.

"Nancy was this tiny once. You want to see the pictures again?" Carson questioned.

Ryan nodded eagerly and followed him over to the photo albums spread out on the dining room table. Carson had been nostalgic for Nancy's childhood ever since she had announced her pregnancy and had ended up dragging Ryan into it with him. "I'll never get tired of looking at Nancy's baby and childhood photos," he murmured.

"What do you think, huh? Your grandpas are old and emotional." Nancy was grateful the baby was still sleeping because at least she wasn't crying but she wanted to get to know her daughter a little better.

"Are my girls both doing okay right now?" Ace checked, unable to stop asking. He had been a little overprotective ever since they discovered Nancy's pregnancy, especially since she still insisted on working right up until her due date.

"We're both right here, Ace. We're fine." Nancy kissed him before turning her attention back to Katherine.

When Ryan and Carson called Ace over to join them, he reluctantly left their side on the couch to see what they wanted. Nancy turned her attention back to the baby. The room got cold for a brief second and the lights flickered before everything returned to normal but she was on alert now. When she glanced up, she was stunned to see both Lucy and Kate smiling at her. Letting out a gasp, she quickly stood up, checking to see what the guys were doing - as suspected, they were still distracted by the baby pictures. They probably wouldn't be for much longer.

"My baby girl," Kate whispered. She walked over to the bassinet and looked down at her granddaughter. "My namesake. I can't believe you named her after me."

"Mom," Nancy mouthed, speechless and unable to find the words. Her mother hadn't once visited her in the years since her death, and she suspected that was because she had moved on. But seeing her now almost sent her into tears.

"She's beautiful," Lucy told her. She lightly tapped Nancy's shoulder.

And that's when the others realized something was amiss - Carson's head snapped up first and his breath caught in his throat when he laid eyes on his wife. "Kate?" he asked, his voice breaking.

"We can't stay for long - just wanted to meet our granddaughter," she explained to her husband as he bolted to her side.

Carson's body vibrated with the need to hug and kiss his wife but unfortunately, he couldn't. "You're at peace now?"

Kate nodded. "I've been at peace since my death. You don't have to worry, sweetheart. Neither of you," she said, looking between her husband and daughter.

"Luce? You're okay now?" Ryan checked, his voice breaking.

Her lips curled up into a smile. "I'm not in pain anymore. Nancy helped me move on. But as Kate said, it was time to meet our granddaughter. Ace, you treat them right or we'll come back and haunt your ass," Lucy threatened.

Ace and Nancy both laughed. "Duly noted," he murmured, pulling his wife closer to him and wrapping her in his arms.

Nancy scooped Katherine up into her arms, thankful when the baby opened her eyes. "Hi again. I'm glad you're awake so you can meet your grandmas. They both love you so very much."

"That we do," Kate agreed. She smiled wistfully at the baby, wishing she could hold her. "Nice to meet you, Miss Katherine. You wear the name well."

"Her full name is Katherine Lucia," Ace informed them.

"It's perfect." Lucy was thrilled they had been able to come back to meet their granddaughter, even though they couldn't stay long. She couldn't wait to watch this little girl grow up, and knew Kate felt the same way.

"How long can you stay?" a tearful Nancy questioned, afraid they'd disappear somewhere into the void out of the blue.

"Not long but we won't just disappear. We'll have time to say goodbye." The last thing Kate wanted to do was add more trauma to her daughter's life.

"Good," she breathed out. Nancy could at least relax a little. Unfortunately, Katherine chose that moment to start crying, clearly hungry. Carson and Ryan fled to the kitchen, the women they loved following them so they could have a brief conversation.

"Motherhood suits you," Lucy observed when she rejoined her daughter.

"Thank you. I'm still trying to figure this whole thing out."

"Everything is terrifying," Ace joked, earning an elbow to his side. "Ow."

"Keep it up," she shot back. Nancy put the baby back in her bassinet, unable to take her eyes off her mothers.

Ace laughed and kissed her before turning the TV on, keeping the volume low so it wouldn't disturb Katherine. "God, I love you."

"Yeah, right back at ya." She winked at him before delving into a conversation with Kate and Lucy.

Lucy and Kate stayed for about an hour and a half before they had to go. Nancy tearfully begged them both to stay just a little while longer but neither could. Ace hugged her as they all watched both women disappear. "We got some closure with your mother. Be thankful for that," Carson told Nancy, kissing her forehead. He picked his granddaughter up in an effort to calm down, however, and Ryan hovered over them in an attempt to do the same.

"How are you?" a worried Ace questioned, wondering if this impromptu visit by her mothers had upset Nancy in a way that'd send her tailspinning for the next few weeks.

"I miss them both but I'm grateful we got to spend the time together that we did. I'll treasure it always." She sniffled and was thankful when Ace wouldn't let go, knowing she needed him right there by her side.

Katherine would grow up knowing all about her grandmothers and would even get to meet them a few times herself. Nancy was secretly grateful that ghosts, magic, and all the other supernatural shit that haunted them existed every time they visited.
