Graphic Soda: I'm glad you liked it, I really do try to fix parts where I fell a little short. I almost love criticism to improve more than praise for my work.
Albain: So, according to Ian Flynn(Surge and Kit's creator) in a question about how Kit would fair in a team with Scourge and Fiona, Kit will essentially latch on to anyone who gives him structure and re-enforcement. That's why Kit was so quick to attach to Sonic. I'll admit, I get bored writing the Boss battles, but that's because I wanted these to be actually feasible in a game. This is based both on IDW and a line I heard about Frontiers.
Now, about the Superbadniks. I have three answers. The in-story answer is that the super-badniks are in their docks, getting upgrades and maintenance when Sonic and Surge show up. The joking answer is the one my friend and I made about Sonic X, how ever super villain knows you never send out all of your robots because they then might actually win. You can only send them out one at a time unless their gimmic is that they work in a team. The Writer's answer is that I can't really justify Sonic and Surge beating several super-badniks when one brought Sonic to his knees.
I do have plans for Amy and Surge to interact. A lot of people will love it, a lot of people will probably hate it. Who knows.
Generalluis: You are very flattering with your compliments, but I don't think every scene is perfect. There are certainly a lot of places I could improve. It's possible they could have been good friend, but would Sonic have ever really given Surge any time before her Transformation? Would She have just been another face in the crowd of fans? That is the question.
As for her… voices, I will address them. And Yes, I love the Sonic and Surge ship, although this isn't necessarily romantic in nature. It'll make a little sense at the end. And don't worry, this is a side project, but I won't abandon it.

Sonic watched Surge go to the bathroom, with Kit sitting still, looking at Sonic. He seemed content to just sit there and kick his feet off the booth. Sonic sat there and smiled at the little guy, "You have a good day?"
He'd kind of been asleep for most of it. The little fennec looked down, as if to ponder deeply the quality of the day he had.
Kit finally raised his head up at Sonic, and nodded, "Today was a good. I had fun. I am sorry about your pan."
Sonic smirked. He knew full well that Surge destroyed the pan. He could smell and see the char on the stone, which he did not leave. "It's alright. I would like her to be more honest with me. I don't want to make you two miserable." Sonic explained with a smile.
Kit nodded at Sonic, but looked somewhat nervous, as if Sonic was going to leave him, "Nonono, you are good, believe me, you are amazing."
"Calm down." Sonic raised his hand, actually feeling a little concerned. The guy seemed desperate.
"H-How? How do I calm down?" Kit seemed confused and stressed out, "Don't leave me." He blurted out desperately, shaking.
"I'm not going to leave you." Sonic tried to calm him down with a smile, raising a hand. The little guy clearly had attachment…issues, "are you ok?"
"I… I don't want to be alone." Kit's ears slumped down, and he looked especially ashamed, like he didn't want to be so vulnerable.
Sonic nodded, getting it, he didn't exactly like the idea of being alone either, "I understand. Is that why you do what ever Surge says?"
Kit looked down, "She's amazing. I do everything she wants because she is awesome, and I want to… or I was brainwashed to." Kit slumped down.
Sonic nodded, biting his tongue while he figured out a way to help Kit, "There's more to life than Serving someone's every whim. What do you want to do with your life?"
Kit blinked at Sonic, before his eyes began to widen. In Sonic's poor attempt at helping the Fennec, Sonic could only watch as Kitsunami mumbled incoherent ramlings, with his eyes widening and the existential dread setting into his face.
"What do I want to do? Oh gosh, I'm going to be here forever aren't I? Oh no, What if something happens to Surge? Who do I turn to then?" Kit began to panic.
Sonic sat up at the table, "Hey, calm down. Don't worry about it, I'm sorry I brought it up. I get it, if things work for you, keep them the way they are. But I'll be there if you ever want to talk." Sonic smiled at the little guy.
Kit slowly smiled back at Sonic, his ears perking up as his tail began to lightly tap the seat.
Suddenly, a few patron-ladies of the club came over, "Oh-my-gosh you are so cute!" One squelled.
Sonic turned to smile at them, and take the picture, only to realize she was talking to the little blue Fennec.
Kit looked like he was caught in headlights. He quickly jerked around to look at Sonic for some as if asking for help.
The patron girl on the right, a wolf smiled down at him, "You look like you just got back from school with your little pack, how are you?"
A bear girl, who was in the center turned to Sonic, "Where's his mom?"
Kit was beginning to look very, very panicked. Did he not know how to talk to girls? He talked to Surge all the time. Or…Sonic thought he did. First things were first.
"Oh no, He's a friend, we're here with his…sister. Yeah, She's at the bathroom." Sonic quickly corrected. He was a little young to have kids.
"OH-MY-GOSH-THAT'S-SO-CUTE! A girl taking her little brother on a date, that's so responsible." The vixen on the right jumped in.
Sonic needed to clear up some things, "She's not really responsible, and this isn't a-"
Before he could finish, the wolf reached an arm around the little Fennec, who shivered from his toes to his head. "You're so tense, we aren't going to hurt you."
Kit looked at Sonic, panicked beyond recognition as she rubbed his shoulder in an attempt to soothe the fox.
The wolf shook her head, "You need to have some fun. Come with us!" She grabbed the Fennec and dragged him out.
Kitsunami, the monster who had almost smashed Sonic and Tails with a rock the size of a car, was now digging his claws into the seat, helpless as the ladies dragged him, his claws leaving streaks in the seat as the little guy was powerless to stop them.
"SONIC, HELP ME!" Kit pleaded as his claws caught on the edge of the booth. He was slowly losing his grip, but that was probably good for him. He needed to relax, whether he liked it or not.
Sonic sat back in his chair as his water arrived, and their loaded nacho's appetizer came out. He couldn't hide the arrogant smile that worked its way up to his face, "You're doing great, buddy. Just be home by midnight."
Kit's eyes flashed a wave of betrayal and pain as he realized he was left alone to his fate. His fingers finally gave as the ladies dragged him into the raving crowd around the catwalk-stage where the DJ seemed to spin his record nodding to the beat of the music.
Rouge chose a really odd structure for a Casino/Club/Restaurant. Both a high-class joint and rave. It was an odd combination, but Sonic saw the wide range of patrons, so he guessed it worked.
Sonic actually felt a little worried as Kit was still a kid, but if someone tried to walk out with him, security would stop them. The waiter was beginning to look rather upset as he held the bottle of Tequila, waiting for Surge to arrive.
Sonic smiled at him apologetically, "Sorry, just pour her a glass, she won't care."
The waiter nodded, and poured the tequila over the ice. Sonic sat down and looked at the mountain of nachos, taking a bite as he waited for Surge.
Suddenly, there was a loud explosion and Sonic sat up. He looked over to the sound as people formed a ring around an Angry Tenrec and….Nack? When was the last time Sonic saw him.
Sonic did notice that Surge was all too pissed, which meant he was probably up to no good. Or maybe he was up to a lot good and that interrupted Surge's plans.
Sonic didn't know, but he knew Surge wasn't going to do anything while with him… he hoped. So he ran over as Nack drew his spare revolver, and grabbed a guy on the dance floor, "Stay back!" He shouted at Surge as he pressed the gun to the Cat's temple.
"Bah, fuck if I care." Surge grinned, slamming her fists together.
Nack blinked and recoiled, "W-Wait-a-minut-"
"Hey Nack, long time no see." Sonic tapped his shoulder with his right hand. Sonic used his left hand to flick two fingers forward. Surge caught his glance as Nack turned to face Sonic.
"Hold up, you're here too? Wait, if you're here, then that means-" He was cut off by an electric kick to the face.
"Focus on me, asshole!" Surge barked with a grin.
Nack dropped the bear and staggered back, only for Sonic to zip forward and spindash into the weasel.
"Hey boss, we couldn't find him. Oh, hi Sonic." Bean, the funny duck walk out from the stairs up from the balcony that overlooked the club.
Sonic smiled at Bean softly. The guy was not exactly what Sonic would call "evil". He was a bit wacky at best, but not evil. Surge didn't seem to care as she whipped around and brought her foot to his face, sending the duck flying.
"YEAH, FUCK YOU!" Surge cheered, throwing her fist up. Before turning back to Nack, who was busy seeing stars.
Security came over, and Surge balled her fist. Sonic smiled and put a hand on her shoulder as they Grabbed Nack and Bean. Surge then jumped as the bear came over and clasped her hand, "Thank you, I thought I was a goner."
Surge looked confused, and staggered when he let go. She had a light in her eyes as he left her there.
Sonic moved closer, keeping his hand on her shoulder in case she bolted, "Feels pretty good, huh, helping others?"
Surge blinked as she started to nod, but then shook her head, "Nah, it felt great pummeling that shithead."
Sonic watched as Nack was held up by two large green gorilla's, Jim and Bim, only distinguishable by a slightly darker shade on Jim.
"So, Nack, always a pleasure." Rouge sighed as she stepped across the floor, "Put them in the dumpster where they belong."
"You can't do that you crazy bitch!" Nack shouted as they started to drag him away.
"Hold up, I want to know stuff." Sonic called out, much to Surge's shock. She blinked at Sonic as Jim and Bim stopped and Rouge gave them a nod.
Sonic smiled as they carried Nack to the outside alleyway of the club.
Surge began to tap her feet impatiently. "Why are we doing this, just throw him in. The Doc sent the worst fucking help he could possibly get to try to get me. Fucking me. I'm pissed that he'd send a little bitch like you to get me."
Sonic sighed, ignoring Surge's outrage and asked Nack, who was still in the arms of the gorillas, ready to throw him into the pile of fish bones, "So why'd you attack Surge?"
"The duck guy wanted me to. He said he was offering handsomely to bring her in." Nack smiled and held out his hands from the Gorilla's arms.
Sonic nodded, "Uh-hu, anything else?"
"Nothing else you need to know." Nack smirked back.
Sonic was not amused, "Head first in the fish one please."
"Wait-wait, Ok, he's going to…some island. He'll be there in a week." Nack called out, and the Gorilla brothers stopped.
"One Week, Fuck, we got hit his bases fast!" Surge growled.
"Not tonight, it can wait." Sonic held up his hand, before giving the go-ahead, "The pizza dumpters, he can go in by his feet."
"Oh come on." Nack grumbled as he was slammed in them, followed by Bean.
Surge growled at Sonic, "I can't fucking wait any longer- Where's Drippy?" Surge growled, suddenly tensed up.
Sonic coughed, when his eyes widened. Crap, were those girls there to steal the kid? They seemed a little feely. Surge pinned Sonic Against the wall, "WHERE'S MY FUCKING LITTLE BUDDY!"
"We'll look for him." Sonic pleaded, realizing that it would be entirely his fault if something happened to the little guy.
They rushed back inside to hear the DJ giving a callout ,"Alright, alright now Y'all know we don't like trouble makers in the club. That ain't cool-"
The Support DJ came on stage, "Yeah, that ain't cool bro, but he's out there smellin. We got someone is cool, cool incarnate. He's got the drip, no He don't got the drip, he is the drip. He is drip incarnate, hence his name, GIVE IT UP FOR DRIPPY!" The Supporting DJ began to beatbox.
"This speech is my recital, I think it's very vital, To rock a rhyme that's right on time, It's Drippy Drippy, here we go" The DJ Began to sing as the stage began to light up with flashing lights, outlining two large ears coming out of a fuzzy thick coat. Sonic could immediately tell who it was purely by the glowing eyes.
The back up DJ sang in as the club began to raise a beat, "It's Drippy to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time It's Drippy, it's Drippy, Drippy, Drippy, Drippy."
Kitsunami, the boy who could barely talk when spoken to, was up on stage, swing his hips back and forth, throwing his hands in the air as he danced on stage.
"It's Drippy to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time, It's Drippy, dr-dr-dr-Drippy, Drippy, Drippy." The DJ sang out, raise his hands high with each of Kit's code names.
Kit pointed at a girl with his fingers making guns, and the wolf girl passed out.
The back up DJ came, "I met this little girlie, her hair was kinda curly, Went to her house and bust her out, I had to leave real early "
Kit slid across the stage, ready to continue dancing as Surge finally spoke, "What the fuck am I watching?"
The DJ came in," These girls are really sleazy, all they just say is, "Please me", Or spend some time and rock a rhyme I said, "It's not that easy"" He seemed to roll his arms and raise his voice, "It's Drippy to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time!"
Kit was slide back and forth, moving with an oddly suave confidence that Sonic was not prepared for.
Even the DJ was having a good time. Waving his hands up with the mic as he sang, "It's Drippy, it's Drippy, Drippy, Drippy, Drippy (how is it D?)"
He passed the mic down to Kitsunami, who leaned in with his snout, doing rock hands while he snags into the microphone, "It's Drippy to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time
It's Drippy, Drippy, Drippy, Drippy!"
"It's Drippy to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time, It's Drippy, Drippy, Drippy, Drippy." The DJ took his mic back and sang as he jumped up and closed out, "Thank you, king."
Drippy came down the stage, and Surge scooped him up. Sonic zipped over to make sure she wouldn't cause any trouble.
The DJ leaned down as the back up went to free styling, "Yo, This little guy right here, he's gon go far. You got the stuff, king" Th DJ leaned down and held out a fist.
Kit threw his fist up and fist bumped the DJ, who then went back to raping on the stage.
Surge looked at Kit, "What the hell just happened?"
Sonic smiled, almost laughing, "Looks like something. Something just happened."
Surge rolled her eyes and they returned to their table. "I'll take Tacos. Drippy'll have the same."
Sonic smiled at the waiter, "Buffalo wings for me, the ten count."
They sat there and waited. Surge continued to look frustrated by the lack of progress. Sonic was focused on something else, but he wanted to be subtle about it, "So… have you been having a good time?"
Kit jumped up, "It's been fun. I was scared at first but wow, this place is crazy." His eyes sparkled with so much joy.
"Well, I've been held at fucking gun point, and got watered down tequila." Surge complained, rolling her eyes. She then sighed, "It's not bad."
Sonic smiled, "Well, You two could come here more often."
"Ha, Yeah fucking right. I'm kinda wanted." Surge rolled her eyes, and slumped back.
"Well, I mean, you could help some people. The world could always use more heroes." Sonic smiled at her.
Surge sat up, realizing his game. He should have tried to be more coy, "No. Fuck that."
Sonic sighed, "Why not?"
"Because I can't change." Surge growled, "This shit in my head, yeah, it's there, and it's there to fuckin stay. You're lucky I haven't strangled you yet!"
Sonic stood up, and held out a hand, "I'll help you through it. I will, I'll be there to keep you sane, and when you start to go off into your crazy world, I'll bring you back."
Surge tensed up, and for the first time, He saw something in her. A longing. It was so tempting to her. She was meant to replace him, and so she probably felt a desire to be a hero, deep down.
"Fuck off." Surge swatted his hand away.
Sonic felt the actual pain in the slap, "What's wrong with you? You want this, I know you do. I saw the light in your eyes when you save that guy. You want to be a hero."
Surge slumped down, and grit her teeth. She wasn't looking at him. Sonic wasn't sure what else to do, so he waited until their food came.
Sonic decided to offer her and Kit a wing.
Surge recoiled a little from his sudden hand movement, "Wing?"
She eyed it cautiously, before grabbing it and sinking her razor teeth into the meaty wing.
"Ya know, it's kinda fucked up that we're eating this. I'm sure there is some fucking chicken in here that is trying get by without us eating her." Surge smirked, "Even if the cattle aren't related to us, I'm pretty sure it's fucked up for the chickens and cows."
Sonic blinked, "I don't really think about it. Maybe it's a little messed up, but chilidogs and chicken wings are good."
Surge rolled her eyes a Kit nibbled on the buffalo drummy before his eyes lit up as thought it was the greatest food on the planet.
Something about the wing scratched an itch that Sonic had. The ranch-bleu cheese mixture made it go down so smooth, and Sonic sat back as Surge finished crunching on her taco.
Sonic watched the waiter come by, "Was everything alright?"
"Fantastic, so-" Sonic started before the waiter smiled.
"Sir, it's on the house. Management said so." The waiter's smile looked forced smile.
"Ah… thanks" Sonic was glad, because some of Rouge's food was…not cheap. But Sonic still felt like leaving a tip. He left a small amount.
Once they exited the club, Sonic and surge were walking as Kit struggled to keep up. Sonic turned around after a minute to see Kit collapsed on the ground. He rolled over, belly up, letting out a groan.
"Eat too much, buddy?" Sonic called out. The Fennec whined and groaned again.
Surge walked back and picked Kit up, and put him on her back.
Sonic nodded as the two continued to walk. Surge was quiet, and focused on what ever was ahead of her.
Sonic kept walking. Neither of them really felt like running. Sonic's cheeks burned a bit from the Buffalo.
They kept walking when Surge finally said something, "So… Stardweeb…"
Sonic blinked, "Yeah, he's going after the continent. I'll help you get to those bases, but I can't promise you'll find anything."
Surge nodded, and they continued walking. Then, after a few minutes, she started again, "Starbitch… He was big into telling stories."
Sonic blinked, "Was he? Yeah, sounds like him, theater kid all the way."
Surge nodded, "Yeah, He fucking loved to talk about Eggman, all day. He'd talk about how he destroyed time, or Merged a dimension or some shit. Never really got finished."
Sonic was a little thrown off. Surge was really just making small talk? "Huh, He didn't?"
"Nope. He'd always get started, going off on some fucking glorious plan, with some fucking incredible purpose, then get stuck on a tangent. He would never make it to the end of a story. Just leave us in the fucking dark, with wasted energy." Surge continued to walk.
Sonic frowned at that story, "Huh, that must have sucked."
Surge remained quiet. They made it back to the house, and went to bed. Surge dropped Kit into Sonic's bed and was about to walk out.
Sonic cleared his throat, "You want in?"
"What the fuck?" Surge asked recoiled as Sonic opened the bed up.
"I'll go in the other room. I know you don't like it when he sleeps in here with me." Sonic explained, actually feeling his cheeks get a little warm at the accidental insinuation.
"Nah… fuck that. He's your little buddy now." Surge growled, and walked into the doorway, where Sonic spoke.
"You don't have to be so petty, come on, he wants to be loved, and treated nice. Give that to him, and he'll be by your side forever. " Sonic pleaded, feeling slightly saddened by the sight of her repulsion, "He wants to be by your side, but you won't let him catch up."
Surge glared at Sonic, her glowing blue eyes burned with slight anger, but also, a strange glint in them. She then left without a word. Sonic crawled in the bed, and stroked Kit's ears as he lulled the fennec to sleep.
