Chapter thirteen:

Frisk manages to make it to the throne room. She glances around not seeing anyone. She instead starts to head towards the path she spots. She has no idea where she is even going. She comes across the barrier spotting the others with a machine. She ducks just outside of the room. "So I should need a monster soul then I can get through." She taps her chin in thought as she tries to put together a plan. She wants to make out alive after all.

"Frisk! Wait!"

Frisk blinks and looks over spotting Toriel heading towards her. She then smiles softly for a moment that she tucks away. She stares at Toriel, who slows down to a stop in front of her, with a frown. "You're not going to change my mind." She warns the former queen as her eyes narrow into a glare. "I'm getting that monster soul and getting me and my brother out. I know now trusting monsters was the wrong way to go. Then I'll make sure that no one ever ends up underground here again. You'll never be able to leave."

"Frisk you don't have to do this." Toriel pleads with her, worried at hearing the way Frisk is talking with anger. She swears Frisk lets out almost a growl. "If the barrier is broken you can go wherever you want. You don't have to kill to get out."

Frisk puts her brother down then approaches Toriel with no knife seen. She reaches out accepting a hug from Toriel. She sneakily grabs her knife from where it was in the sleeve. She moves her hand up to be ready to strike Toriels back.

Toriel feels the shift of the movement against her shoulder. Her eyes, that had been closed in relief at Frisk accepting a hug, snap open. She quickly shoved Frisk away causing the girl to fall on her butt. She does slightly notice the knife slide out of her hand.

The knife sliding back until it is by Frisks brother.

Toriel takes a few quick breaths as she knows that it was a close one. She might have to stop Frisk herself... She isn't sure she'll be able to though.

Frisk grabs her brother and weapon rushing into the barrier room. Her actions cause the others there to turn to look at her. She sees their eyes becoming surprised by the knife, but also by Toriel who comes in after Frisk.

Suddenly the moment is interrupted by some laughter.

They turn to where the laughter came from. They spot Flowey by Frisks brothers soul.

Flowey is grinning widely with his leaf hands on the container. "If I won't get what I want than I'll take a new power. I will become super powerful!" He lets out another laugh and begins to open the container.

"No!" Frisk screams and races towards Flowey. She is knocked back by a light green thorny vine that shoots up from the ground. She was lucky the thorns tip is the only sharp part so she's not scratched.

Vines begin spreading out grabbing onto the other soul containers. Going for the souls inside.

Frisk charges Flowey again determined to save her brothers soul. She is wrapped up tightly in a vine. She cries out in pain as it tightens too much breaking her arm a little; the thorns on the vines not helping at all as they stab into her. She is suddenly cut out of the vine that vanishes and is gently held close by Asgore. She looks to him a little confused.

"Don't worry Frisk." Asgore tells her staring at Flowey ready to stop him.

Toriel, and Undyne charge for Flowey cutting or burning the vines trying to grab the soul.

Asgore turns to look to Frisk offering a smile. His fluffy hand, the one not holding her, hovers over her injured arm. He lets green magic glow as he uses healing magic to try to help it.

Flowey snarls at Toriel and Undyne who move closer and closer towards him. He spots Papyrus and Sans making it into the barrier room. He turns back to the two and shoots vines up from by their feet holding them. He swiftly does the same for the others after Papyrus puts Sans down.

Asgore shoves Frisk away from him, luckily her wounds became healed before she was shoved, so she isn't trapped by the one he is now trapped by.

"Nothing can stop me now!" Flowey laughs maniacally at all of this. He looks to Sans who stares back at him silently pleading for him to stop. He just smirks widely before responding. "You are a fool. If you had done what I had told you to this wouldn't be happening. If my magic was returned to me." He turns away and has vines go for the souls again. "No one can stop me now."

"I can." Frisk gets to her feet and glares as Flowey turns to look to her. Her hands clenched into fists. She had sat there thinking about how Asgore just was treating her like any other. She realizes that monsters aren't all evil, and she wonders if the whole Sans and Flowey thing is not what it seemed. She should have known better that monsters are indeed more like humans than she thought. She had grabbed the knife before she had gotten to her feet and spoke. She is holding it tightly in her right hand. She will stop Flowey no matter what.

"You?" Flowey questions looking rather unimpressed then he smirks at her. He suddenly raises her brothers soul in the air. "We can make a deal." He offers to her as she becomes worried for her brothers soul.

The last living piece she has of him.

"I give your brothers soul and a monster soul. You cross the barrier and be free to do what you want." Flowey offers and Frisk tries to protest though as she looks to her brothers soul... She finds herself having a little voice in the back of her mind.

Take the offer. Are the monsters really more important to you than your own brother? You hardly know them. You don't need to owe them anything. Especially if it's to save your brother.

Frisk feels temptation tugging upon her soul at listening to the voice talk to her. She suddenly glances back and looks at Sans. Her eyes locking upon the shorter skeletons scars. Her memories of her helping him through things come to her head. She can't talk to him as Flowey covered their mouths. Though she swears she can see fear and pleading in his eyes. She turns back to Flowey after glancing to the floor. "Let them all go. My brother included." She demands and Flowey looks unimpressed.

"Oh please. Don't toss the idea that you could have a chance at defeating me." Flowey rolls his eyes. He smacks her away with a vine she almost dodges, when she charges. "This is the last chance to take me up on my offer. You can leave now and never worry about any of this again. You don't owe them anything. They were just going to use you."

Frisk finds herself glancing at her brothers soul, then prepares to attack to set her brothers soul free. She has come to realize that there is no reasoning with this talking flower.

"I see. Well no matter." Flowey moves before Frisk can react. In a flash he absorbs the human souls. He then uses the amplified magic to seal Frisk into a battle; one that the monsters there can only watch.

The monsters there are taken far enough away to not get in the way. They are gagged by vines to make sure that they stay quiet.

Frisk covers her face when the flash happens then lowers her arms, only to gasp in surprise upon seeing what Flowey has become. A bit too busy with that to notice the sound of a save happening caused, by the flash of power from Flowey.

Huge vines surround the faint head of Flowey, his petals now more pointed at the tips, a square TV showing a red eyed deranged Floweys face, the petals coming from the back of the TV, red huge long thorns decorate the vines making up this giants body, two vines with red thick thorn fingers act as hands plus arms, vines extending to the ceiling and attaching themselves there, and a big round green body acting like a stem to it all. He laughs and his laugh echoes around Frisk, making things shake a little. "You stand no chance puny human." He the tries to slam his hands together to try to crush Frisk.

Frisk manages to jump away just causing the hand parts of Flowey to clap together. She has to come up with a plan if she's going to defeat this thing and get the human souls back... Especially her brother... She just feels a little hopeless looking at the size of Flowey. She's never seen something so big and intimidating. She leaps away as white thorn attacks blast her way so fast. She gasps as she takes a few to the leg, cutting her leg, as she attempts to roll. She gets to her feet not putting as much weight on the injured one. She has to do something or else she's as good as gone. She doesn't doubt that this thing could leave and destroy humanity. She just knows that the only reason he's staying is to enjoy killing her. She dashes away again as Flowey tries to squish her with his hand.

Floweys hand only hitting the ground causing it to shake.

Frisk waves her arms around to try to balance herself. She gets herself balanced then yelps, suddenly she is stabbed by the thorn attack. She feels her legs shake a little from the pain of it all. Her eyesight getting a little blurry from her tears of pain. She shakily wipes them away and tries to slash at Flowey. Pushing herself through the pain to fight this giant monster.

Flowey gets hit though it doesn't seem to do much damage if at all.

Frisk is then struck by a bunch more thorn attacks from the back. She is grabbed by the neck by a vine, that's tight enough to stab the thorns into her neck and throat. She is slammed back and down onto the ground on her back. She carries out as this causes the thorn attacks in her back to dig in further. She passes out at first not realizing that she has just died. She feels no more pain and just floats in darkness.

"Frisk..." A distant voice speaks though Frisk doesn't open her eyes. "Frisk." This time the voice is closer despite the fact that no footsteps can be heard. "Frisk!" The last one gets Frisk to open her eyes quickly.

Frisk shifts from her back to right side up. She finds nothing to stand on. So she bends her knees a bit keeping her feet back.

"Oh thank the stars you woke up!"

Frisk spins around and finds herself facing another human.

This human has brown hair like her own, red eyes, rosy cheeks, a long sleeved grey shirt with a single thick purple stripe in the middle, a green short cloak that ends at the spot where her arms and shoulders connect, though the cloak does cover all of the area between the middle of her neck to where it ends, the pin holding it in place has the symbol of three triangles plus wings on wither side, the pin looks kind of like a copper or rusted metal color, her pants are black, and she has on black runners. She seems to be standing on something even though nothing is there.

"Who are you?" Frisk questions.

"My name is Chara." The girl introduces herself.
