Chapter fifteen:

Frisk manages to get close to Flowey once more and reaches out for her brother. She makes the connection and is quickly back to him.

This time standing with him is a boy closer to Frisks age. He's wearing a dark brown cowboy hat, a black t-shirt, jeans, black leather cowboy boots, and has a toy gun holstered in a brown child toy holster. He has messy brown hair that slightly sticks out from the hat, slightly tanned skin, and bright brown eyes. "So. This is your sister." He nods his head to Anthony then tips his hat in greeting to Frisk.

Frisk gives him a polite nod to him back. "Listen. Um..." She pauses upon realizing that she didn't get his name just yet.

"The name is Edward Tony. Ed for short." The boy introduces himself.

"Okay. Ed." Frisk agrees to the shorter version. "We need your help. Fight with us. Resist Flowey."

"I'd love to help fellow humans. However, that fish monster I managed to get a peek at is the one that killed me. What do I owe her?" Edward crosses his arms over his chest as he stares at Frisk.

"Don't think of it like that. Surely there were those that were nice to you. Before you let her." Frisk feels a little more confident about this at seeing his shoulders drop.

"I suppose..." Edward sighs heavily. "I did get some nice time with a dog monster. Before I moved on from where he stayed." He looks to Frisk. "I was so curious. I came here then some fish lady says that the king orders... That I had to die... As much as there was some good I was killed without a chance."

"Monsters so badly want to be on the surface. They won't even wait for the last human to die. Before trying to break the barrier. They made a machine to use us without hurting us." Frisk explains as Edward blinks at her. "Anyways. Just give them another chance. I'm sure that this time things will be different. Fight Flowey before he destroys everything. Maybe even the human surface world." She blinks hopefully at Edward who glances down in thought. She can now only hope that she got through to him.

Anthony does notice that Edward is still a little hesitant so he steps in. "I know it's a bit hard to think about doing such a thing for a group that you don't like. You don't have to think about it that way. You can think about doing it for Stephani." He watches the other who keeps his head down. "She needs you out there. You wanted to escape the container so badly just to get back to her. You and your mom were the only ones standing in the way between her and her drug abusing father. Your mom is left to do that all alone now. You came in this mountain to find a rare flower to sell, to help with the cost of going to court. Though you won't have that flower think about the situation. You don't want to continue to just leave them with only each other. Do you?"

After a brief moment, with his head lowered so his hat covers his eyes, Edward looks up to Frisk. "Okay. I'll fight."

"Thank you." Frisk lets the connection break for now. She runs to the side then away. She glances back seeing vines grabbing nothing. She is glad that she managed to get away. She runs around towards one side looking for a way in. She is suddenly struck with a swipe of a thorny vine. She is knocked backwards away from Flowey tumbling to the ground. Her body skidding just slightly before coming to a stop. Her face hot with pain. She starts to sit up, finding her arms are a little shaky, and barely crawls out of the way of more attacks. She manages to get to her feet and ignores the blood dripping down her face. Her right eye is refusing to open properly but she can still fight. She charges for Flowey again and reaches for her brother. "Come on. Come on." She pleads quietly to herself. She's not sure how many more hits she can take. Her head is starting to feel a little dizzy. She ducks down sliding between two vines that try to get her. She reaches out making contact.

"Sister!" Anthony gasps hurrying over to his sister at seeing her wound. His eyes dart over how it goes above and below her eye, barely missing her actual eye or eyelid. He feels worry at the blood escaping down her face.

"I'm okay." Frisk assures him gently holding his hand as she smiles to him. "We are getting so close. We have to end this."

After a moment Anthony nods then turns to the other girl there.

This girl has an apron that the winner of a kids chef competition gets, with other prizes as well. She has a frying pan in one hand as though it is her weapon. Under her apron she has a light pink almost white flowery edges light pink tank top, black shorts, and pink rain boots. Her curly brown hair falls all over her shoulders, her bangs tucked to the side as they are also long, and she has dark blue eyes. She has pale skin and a kind smile. She looks to be maybe a year or two younger than Frisk.

"Hi. I'm Frisk. It's nice to meet you."

"The name is Misty." The girl responds offering her kind smile. "Things surely have changed."

"Indeed they have." Frisk agrees with Misty knowing she means the whole Flowey thing. "And if we're going to change things for the better we need you. Fight Flowey. You need to fight. For everyone's sake and most importantly your own. Don't let him win."

Misty stares at Frisk for a long moment. "I want to help. I really do. I'm just scared." She sighs glancing down. "I managed to get out of the ruins. Then I heard footsteps as I was walking through the woods. I ran into the woods to hide. I kept running when I heard someone go after me... Lots of snow started falling all around me. I couldn't find my way back... Everything got so cold. I took a nap by a tree..." She starts to sniffle as tears appear in her eyes.

Frisk feels sorry for the little girl as she can't imagine how scary that must have been. "The monsters I've met are really nice. I bet that none of them meant to scare you." She tells Misty who blinks tearfully at her. "I bet they got really scared when they saw you head into the woods. They wouldn't want you to get hurt after all."

"But Toriel said that there was a monster who wanted me gone." Misty sobs softly. "I wanna go home to mommy and daddy."

"That may have been true at one point for the king. However not all monsters are bad. I've made friends with some myself. Please fight Flowey and give the good monsters a chance to show you." Frisk wants to hug Misty who sobs again though isn't sure if that would freak her out.

Anthony wraps Misty in a hug for Frisk since Misty knows him better. "Your mom and dad must be so worried about you. They've probably searched and searched for you. I'm sure that they'd be really happy to have you back. You can see them again. Don't give up hope."

Misty wipes at her tearful eyes and nods her head. A new spark of readiness shining in her eyes.

Frisk smiles more at this. "Thank you Misty." She blinks back to where she is standing by Flowey. She moves backwards almost falling though at least dodged the thorn attacks. She sees them hit the ground right where she was before. She slashed at one of Floweys hands that tries to strike her.

Flowey pulls back with a cry of pain. As he shifts Frisk gets a glance to the currently helpless group of monsters.

Frisk can see how they are silently cheering for her and are worried about her. She spots Sanss eye which holds worry and fear. She can see his gaze is especially looking at the slash she had taken to the face. She smiles at them trying to assure them that she's got this. She turns back to Flowey her smile dropping for a look of focus and determination. She looked back just in time as she just barely manages to duck as a vine swings past her. She gets up charging for Flowey once more. She won't lose this. She won't let them all down. She is going to end this. Just two more souls to help. Then she should be able to take Flowey down.

Flowey sends thorn attacks as Frisk charges leaving a trail of them behind her. He roars and tries to slam his hands down to squish her.

Frisk picks up the pace feeling her breathing becoming heavy though she pushes onward. She trips at the rumble right behind her as her enemies hands slam into the ground. She reaches a hand towards Flowey as she reaches out for her brother. Silently begging for a connection. She notices Flowey raising his hands again though she manages to connect to her brother right at that moment. She sighs in relief at seeing herself in a now very familiar spot. She gets to her feet and looks as Anthony comes closer.

Next to Anthony is a boy who looks to be about twelve years of age or so. He has black shirt hair on the side with the top side being a little longer than the other sides. His hair appears to have strands of silver mixed in here and there in his hair, which stands out especially on the longer top hair. He has on a dark blue t-shirt, a quarter sleeved black and green camo jacket that's not buttoned up, jeans, and black leather cow boy boots. His eyes are such a dark shade of brown that they almost look black. He looks to Frisk allowing their eyes to meet with one another's. He has a calm strong looking expression, though as Frisk stares into his eyes she can see a warmth there. "So. You must be Frisk." He greets with a nod to her.

"That is correct." Frisk confirms giving a soft nod in return. "And I think you know why I am here."

"I figured you'd want me to help you fight Flowey. To resist him. Why else would you be here?"

"Exactly." Frisk confirms glad that he understands. "Do you think you can do that? Fight against him? I don't care what your reason is. As long as you can do it. We are getting everyone to fight him. You won't be doing so alone."

The boy stares at her for a good long few moments. "The name is Sam. I may have died by Asgore after I killed monsters just to try to get through this place. And I can tell Anthony believes in you. So I do too. He is my friend after all. My little sister taught me that. There is no way I'm going to pass up on the chance to allow myself to fight again."

Frisk nods to this. She is glad that this one was rather easy to convince. She gets back to Flowey and moves away starting to get light headed. 'Just one more.' She reminds herself in her head. 'Just one more and this will be over.' She remembers some food from the ruins she has. She can heal. She grabs a spider donut and eats it quickly. She sighs feeling better though has to quickly jump back.

Thorn attacks land in a group tightly packed where she just was.

Frisk goes towards Flowey trying to get close again. She ducks as Flowey swings an arm at her. She then blinks seeing a wall vines blocking her path. She skids to attempt to stop only to run into the vines. She reaches out with her soul as vines move to try to trap her. She manages a connection and adjusts herself to a more stable position. She hears her brother approach and looks.

The final soul with Anthony is a ten year old boy. He has soft looking light brown hair that reaches his ears, his hair cut so it looks nice, sea blue eyes, freckles across his cheeks plus nose, wearing a superhero shirt, black pants, and light up sneakers. He offers Frisk a smile that she returns.

"This is Rico." Anthony introduces the boy who gives a soft wave of hello. He can see the other being shy though at least glad that he is there. "Rico." He decides to start as Frisk lets him. He smiles with friendship as Rico turns locking eyes with him. "We need your help. You have to fight against Flowey."

"Will it do any good?" Rico questions tilting his head to the side.

"I know it will." Frisk adds gaining the twos attention. She smiles to both of them as they stare at her.

"No one could have known a rockslide would happen if I got backed up." Rico mentions. "However I struggled in the fight and nothing seemed to work. Until my back hit the wall and rocks fell down. My attempts just weren't good enough."

"You won't be alone this time." Frisk informs him in which Anthony nods.

"Everyone is going to fight Flowey. We just need you to do so too." Anthony also tries to help.

"Okay." Rico agrees and Frisk is sent back.

Frisk hurries back away from the vines but stumbles and falls before she could stop. She turns spotting thorn attacks headed her way too quickly. She closes her eyes ready for the pain. She hears a small ding and no pain from the attack. She cautiously opens her eyes to see a glow of green that blocked the attack.

"What in the world!?" Flowey questions staring at this glow that vanishes; with his attacks.

A gun appears like an attack but shoots green bullets healing Frisk.

"Noo!" Flowey howls as Frisk lays there soaking up the healing. He uses a vine to try to hit Frisk or the gun. He is stopped by some more green glow that isn't as bright. He snarls at this and the gun fades when Frisk is fully healed. He glares as Frisk gets to her feet looking so much better. He gasps as his defense is forced down to zero.

Frisk charges raising her knife slashing again and again, at every part of him she can. She keeps going while moving positions to slash at different spots. She hurries back when Floweys arms drop. "It's over." She mentions with relief seeing the giants body become more limp.

"You won't win that easily..." Flowey manages to get out slightly panting. "I won't let you." He manages to look up staring at Frisk. "There is still one more thing I can do."

Suddenly there's a flash of white that Frisk covers her eyes from. She blinks and lowers her hand when the flash is gone. She gasps at what she sees before her.
