Prologue (Part Two)
Sherwood, Ohio, October 2021:
"Legend has it that the Sherwood Shredder returns every few years to murder the youth of this town. And some say that he might return this year," Evan, a high school senior, said in a "menacing" way to his girlfriend, Zoe, along with their friends, Jeremy and Christine.
Zoe playfully scoffed at him. "Oh, come on, don't tell me you believe that."
"I agree. It's just a myth that the town created to prevent 'teen debauchery,'" Jeremy added.
"Well, they've done a great job at that," Christine said as they clinked their bottles together.
Evan gasped as some wine got on his shirt. "Oh, I'm sorry-"
"It's ok. There's more in my dad's cellar. Come on, I'll help you get cleaned up," Zoe said, before she and Evan entered her large mansion.
They walked through multiple rooms, before Evan stopped one of the living rooms, where a knife was on display inside a glass case.
"What's this?" Evan asked.
"Oh, it's just some knife my dad got in Mexico. Apparently, it's 'too interesting to use.'"
"Well, at least he knows art when he sees it."
Zoe was tending to Evan's shirt, when they heard the sound of glass breaking. They went to investigate it.
"Hello? Jeremy? Christine?" Evan said.
"Mom? Dad?" Zoe added.
They approached the same living room from earlier, and noticed that glass case holding the knife was broken.
Worst of all, its prized object was missing.
Suddenly, two wine bottles were broken on Evan and Zoe's heads, knocking them out. Their attacker flipped both of their bodies over, stabbing them both in the heart with the remaining glass shards multiple times until they were dead.
Meanwhile, Jeremy and Christine were still drinking their wine outside.
"Where did Evan and Zoe go? They've been gone for a while," Christine said.
"Don't worry, it's a big mansion. It probably takes them longer to do things."
"Well, I'm going inside to check on them," Christine said as she got up and left.
Once Christine got inside the house, she screamed as a mysterious man grabbed her, holding her mouth tight as he dragged her off to the kitchen. He held her on the kitchen counter as he stabbed her throat and heart.
Suddenly, a teenage boy jumped on him. The murderer easily slid the boy off, before stabbing him to death as well, before leaving the house.
Needless to say, Zoe's parents got a big surprise that night.
Multiple ambulances and police cars showed up to their house, but nothing could be solved. he kids were dead and no one knew who did it.
The gruesome deaths of Evan Hansen, Zoe Murphy, Jeremy Heere, and Christine Canigula were all over the news the next day. Everybody in Sherwood, Ohio had questions that needed answers. Who killed them? Why did they do it?
But most importantly…
Is the Sherwood Shredder back?
