My Little Arrival
Ch.10: The Parents
It was so silent that one could hear the ticking of a watch. Having just finished my explanation with assistance from Luna, Mom and Dad turned to each other, then nodded. I waited with bated breath, before Dad cracked a smile and gestured us outside. Kayla smiled, walking beside me as Mom and Dad headed out in front of us.
Luna levitated to the ground. Judging by her relived look, it was clear she had been worried that my parents would be of no help. So too, Twilight exhaled loudly, giving us all a chuckle.
The introductions would go smoothly. Dad was impressed by Rainbow Dash's transformative abilities, even joking that I now had my own car. Rainbow would blush, and of course, Pinkie has NEVER let her live it down.
"I have a few questions though" Dad said quietly, not wishing to disturb our neighbors. "First" he said to the five girls- Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity, and Twilight- "do you have a place to sleep?"
The five frowned and shook their heads. "We got here so quickly that we did not have time to figure that out" Twilight explained.
Dad grinned, revealing that we had a guest room upstairs next to mine that the girls were more than welcome to use. The girls accepted without hesitation. "Sorry that we can't fit you in" I said to Celestia, Luna, and Spike. The three smiled. "It's a warm night. We will be alright" they beamed. Spike smiled. "I have gotten used to it, though its been short. Like David's girlfriend there."
I flushed, my cheeks turning as red as ripe tomatoes. Kayla shook her head, taking the jab like a trooper. "Nah. Just friends, Dragon." Yes, just friends. That would indeed change to my happiness.
"Second" Dad continued. "Should David lay low for now? If these creatures want those glasses, won't they want him too?" Luna put a hoof to her chin in thought. "It is possible. They may want him to- ". Luna shook her head sadly, not speaking the words she thought. Dad moved on.
"Lastly" he said sadly. "If they manage to get this, what does it mean for Earth?"
Twilight walked over, her face determined, like one of a great warrior gearing for the arena. "It would mean destruction at the best. Tirek is far meaner than I could have thought, and Earth is in danger. We did not come here because we wanted to; we had duty."
"Yes, we did" Applejack grinned. "They dare try and hurt any of ya, they will face my Lasso of Truth."
"I abhor violence" Pinkie said. "For my friends and family, I don't care. They know I'm ready to dish a whooping. Or die greatly."
We all hung the words in the air. Fluttershy trotted over, clearing her throat. "We should all get some sleep"
Mom nodded, turning back to the house. Celestia and Luna took off, thinking. If worse came to worse, they had one thing- one power the Legion knew not. For their fallen nephew, and niece, for the lost souls of Equestria, for a chance of peace, they would do anything.
And I mean anything.
