This is going to be an amazing story with a great path. It will not ever be what you think it will be.
Chiron was unable to believe his eyes as he looked upon the girl before him. She was a stunning creature, even by Demigod standards. Even by Goddess standards. She had thick curly, black hair, the color of the night sky, so black it had shades of purple and blue within in. Her eyes, when he checked, were a soft grey, the color of the moonlight. Her skin was perfect alabaster, radiating an internal light. Her face was perfectly proportioned, with high cheek bones, a straight nose and thick lips. She was the perfect greek maiden, only she lacked any natural olive color, as if her skin had never been kissed by the Sun. She was tall, nearly six feet despite only being around twelve according to Dionysius' magic. She was well built, strong and muscular, oddly so for a girl, especially her age.
What stood out most however was not her beauty, but her wrist, or rather the bracelet upon it. It was bound in hemp, with a single bronze coin in it's center. On the bronze coin was a familiar symbol, a man carrying a chariot across the day sky with horses with flaming locks. The symbol of Helios, when he would claim his children in days of old. How the girl bore such a symbol, in days as young as these...
Reaching for the bracelet, Chiron recoiled as a harsh hiss of magic seared his skin. The magic of Helios was present in the artifact, bright and clear, but not pure. He sensed another's power in it, the magic of Rhodes. That made sense, many of Helios' artifacts were crafted on her Island, on their Island. Her essence was melded into many things he made over the eons.
'Perhaps she is his legacy, or that of one of his Priests of Old? That would explain how she has and is being protected by the bracelet?'
"Ungh..." The man jumped slightly, startled by the girl's groan. Turning his gaze, he looked wide eyed.
'She's awake, already? How is that possible, it's been only a day, with her wounds she should have not started to awake for quite some time...'
The girl's beautiful grey eyes opened, and he saw awareness come to her. "Chiron?" She said it perfectly, in an old Greek dialect. "What am I doing here, how am I?" She groaned more, sitting up in the bed, looking around. " The last thing I remember is running and that boy with the Minotaur, and that Saytr!"
Chiron cringed with each word, hearing her potent magic ring true to summon the monsters. "Saying their name is not wise, you can summon-"
"Monsters, yeah I know... I was attacked after doing a report on Hellhounds, but I feel safe here, I know they cannot get in without permission. How I know that, I have no idea, but I do know it to be true." The girl turned to him, her eyes darkening with intensity. "I know you, I dreamed about you... it wasn't clear, but I know you're Chiron. Who am I?"
"I do not know, even your name actually."
"Esther, Esther Michaels. I know I am a demigoddess, but again I have no idea how or what or who my parent is." She held her head. "Knowledge just pours into my head, it always used to, but it's gotten worse since I hit puberty. I can feel things slamming into my head, eons of knowledge screaming at me. Light and Dark, devouring my soul."
Worried, Chiron put his hands on her forehead and muttered a hymn in ancient Greek, only to recoil as sheer white light blasted his hands away and he saw the girl swaying. "That was Moonlight, the magic of Selene, how do you have that power?" The man gestured to her bracelet. " And that coin, where did you get it?"
She frowned. "I don't know either answer. I only know that I've had the coin since I was born. I was found at a Hosptial in California. I moved around a lot, obviously. The coins been with me since day one, it is all I've ever had. No one has ever managed to take it, they forget it when they try." She rubbed the coin, and to his annoyance, she was not shocked by it's powers."It makes me feel safe, loved, sometimes I feel love oozing from it, it pulses like a heartbeat."
"That sounds... concerning. Can it do anything?"
The girl twisted her wrist and the coin shimmered, getting larger until a shield formed, laced perfectly in her hand. "Does that count?"
"Yes... that does." He turned around. "Care to meet the Camp?"
"Yes... Camp Halfblood... how the hell I know that, do not ask me... let's go."
And together they moved from the room, out of the Big House and toward where he sensed Mr. D's presence. The man turned to them, eyes wide when he saw the girl, who as literally glowing in the Dusky light. She still had the shield in her hands. "You look... familiar." The man sighed. "I can feel a familiar magic in you, magic not unlike my own... but how? I know you are not of my bloodline? Not even Kronos' bloodline!"
The girl frowned. " I can feel your power too, the Madness calls to me, like a magnet in my chest, Dionysius." The girl spoke with sorrow in her voice, and hate. "I've been reading about Greek Myths my whole life... I love them, their stories... did you really rape Aura?" Her tone was soft, but commanding, again in a tone so familiar that it ate at Chiron.
Mr. D cringed. "I... I... that is none of your concern!" He bellowed.
The girl growled right back, but Chiron clapped his hands, distracting them both. " Enough, Mr. D you cannot blame her for worrying when presented with that fact. Esther, you cannot go disrespecting the gods."
She turned to him, to Chiron himself, and sneered in a way that would make Hera proud. "I will give no respect, only tolerance. Respect is earned, something synchophants like you know nothing about."
The man cringed, before rising from his wheelchair, something that did not shock the girl. "I will lead you to your cabin..." The man said. and the girl just nodded, anger in her eyes, madness in her aura.
And aura that literally glowed around her like moonlight...
And it was here that he knew who her mother was, why she was so familiar... why she had the Sheild of Helios...
The girl bore the clear mark of Selene, the Titan Goddess that faded eons ago.
