Anthony's Supermarket Tantrum

Disclaimer, Rugrats belongs to its original owners and no infringement is intended.

It was the Summer of 1994 in Boston, Massachusetts. Charlotte Pickles along with her nephew, Anthony Collins were heading too the supermarket near their new apartment.

Anthony sighed in his car seat; it had been roughly a year since that dreaded cruise on board the SS Odyssey. Since then, everything changed so fast. Within a couple of months he and his daddy lost their big house and had to move into this small apartment with his aunt Charlotte. Worst of all he had to abandon most of his over sized toy collection. Boy, he missed his toys!

Anthony growled in his seat. 'At least that stupid Angelica doesn't live with us' he thought. No, his cousin lived in California all the way on the other side of the country.

Charlotte then drove into the supermarket parking lot. "We're here" she mumbled.

"Aunt Charlotte" asked Anthony, "can I get a toy today?"

"I'm sorry, Anthony" replied Charlotte, "but I don't have enough money today."

"But Aunt Charlotte?!" protested Anthony.

"Look, Anthony!" snapped Charlotte, "we are no longer rich and that means money goes to important stuff!"

Anthony just growled in his seat again before Charlotte sighed.

"Look" went Charlotte, "if you behave in the store then we'll at least look at the toys alright?"

"YES!" screamed Anthony in joy.

"Anthony!" snapped Charlotte.

"Sorry" went Anthony.

Charlotte parked the car before helping Anthony out of his seat. The then both walked into the store.

As Charlotte was doing her shopping, Anthony grew bored.

"Aunt Charlotte" whined the naughty boy, "can't we look at the toys now?"

"I still have a few more things to pick up" replied Charlotte.

"This is taking forever!" snapped Anthony.

"Anthony!" snapped back Charlotte.

"But, but..." went Anthony before Charlotte cut him off with "young man, if you keep this up, we'll look at nothing today, do you understand?!"

Anthony sighed. "Yes, Aunt Charlotte" he replied.

"Good" went Charlotte.

After that, the two finished up shopping before it was finally time to look at toys.

"ALRIGHT!" shouted Anthony with joy before Charlotte grabbed his arm.

"What did I tell you about shouting?!" schooled Charlotte.

"Sorry" replied Anthony before they entered the toy aisle.

As Anthony gazed in aw at the various toys around him, one caught his eyes.

"Captain Blasto!" cried the boy with excitement, "I want it, I want it!"

"Anthony, we've already had this discussion" said Charlotte, "I don't have enough money."

"But I want it!" yelled Anthony.

"Anthony!" snapped Charlotte.

"You and Daddy never let me have what I want!" cried Anthony.

"Young man, you stop this this instant!" Barked Charlotte.

"Screw You!" shouted Anthony.

"That dose it!" screamed Charlotte, "no more looking at toys! We are gonna check out and head strait home!"

"But that's not fair!" protested Anthony.

"It is to me!" snapped Charlotte.

Anthony just growled as he and his aunt started to walk out of the toy aisle. As they did so the boy looked back to see another boy with his father enter the aisle.

"Is this the one you wanted" the father asked his son.

"Yes daddy!" cried the other boy with joy. He then picked up a Captain Blasto action figure.

"Hey, wait a minute!" snapped Anthony, "how come he gets to have one... BUT I DON'T!?"

"Anthony!" snapped Charlotte.

"THAT'S NOT FAIR!" screamed Anthony.

Before Charlotte could scold him, Anthony picked up a baseball bat (they were passing through the sports aisle) and ran back to the toy aisle.

"Anthony, put that down!" ordered Charlotte, "Anthony!"

The other boy and his dad had already left the aisle as Anthony reentered it with his bat.

"IF I CAN'T HAVE ANY TOYS!" screamed Anthony, "NO ONE CAN!"

"Anthony!" went Charlotte, "don't you dare...!"

Anthony swung the bat, smashing several toy on the shelf.

"Anthony!" screamed Charlotte.

Anthony just swung his bat several more times breaking dozens of toys in the process.

Charlotte continued to scream for the evil little boy. "Anthony! Anthony! ANNNNNTHOOOOOONYYYYYY!"

At that moment the store security guard ran into the toy aisle and snatched the bat out of Anthony's hands.

"Uh, oh!" went both Anthony and Charlotte simultaneously.

A little while later Charlotte and her nephew we both in the store manager's office.

"Look" Charlotte pleaded the manager, "I'm super sorry about what happened. Please don't charge me. I'm financially struggling as it is. I can't afford to pay any big fines."

"Don't worry" replied the manager, "I won't press charges. However, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to ban you and your nephew here from our store indefinitely."

"What?!" gasped Charlotte. "This is the closest supermarket to our apartment."

"I'm sorry" replied the manager, "but that's the way it has to be."

Charlotte turned to give Anthony a look of pure rage. The naughty boy gulped.

"Well" said Charlotte, "I guess we'd better be heading home then."

Charlotte then stood up before barking at Anthony to do the same. The sore security guard then escorted them both out to the parking lot.

"Have a nice night" said the security guard before heading back inside.

"Aunt Charlotte" asked Anthony, "can we maybe not tell my Daddy about what I did?"

Charlotte just grabbed Anthony by the ear and dragged him to the car.

"OW! OW! OW!" cried Anthony in pain.

"Young man!" barked Charlotte, "when we get home, you are gonna tell your father everything! EVERYTHING!"

That night Anthony Collins went to bed with a month's long grounding and a very sore bottom.

THE END

NOTES: I hope to rewrite Angelica's Adventure one day. Amongst the changes to said rewrite will be to have it set in 1993 rather then the 2010s. Anthony's Supermarket Tantrum takes place after this planed rewrite of Angelica's Adventure.
