She was in systemically the worst yet best opposition she had ever been in.

Her plan worked, or she at least hoped it did, but… Mitsuki didn't take Inko home, meaning she had no clue where she was.

Her boss never, while friendly, had never given him out where he lived. She hoped Inko was there.

However, until she saw Inko, Mitsuki was always going to have that nagging feeling in the back of her head.

Oh, this Sunday was going to be fun…

She was still rather stiff from her "activities" with her boyfriend last night. It was odd how such a nice person could be so dominating!

She texted Inko, asking if she was okay. She hoped she would text her, which would be enough of a sign that she was okay.

I mean, the easiest way to track others was through their phones!

The sound of sizzling reached Inko's ears. Next, came the smell of eggs, rice, sausage, and various spices.

She opened her eyes, and found herself at a table she didn't recognize. She jumped in surprise, looking around, until her eyes landed on the face of the man she met last night, Naruto Uzumaki.

His eyebrow was raised in a questioning manner as he said, "Did you find your way to the table with your eyes closed?"

Inko laughed nervously as she saw she was still in her clothes. That meant nothing intimate happened last night, a good thing. She really didn't like one night stands.

"So what's with the necklace?" Naruto asked. Looking down, Inko saw she was wearing the emerald necklace she saw last night. Embarrassed, she took it off and put it on the table.

Naruto watched her out of the corner of his eye, and sighed. "Are you really that inseparable from that thing?"

Inko made a questioning look, annoyed by his nagging. Naruto blinked and sighed. "Look at your left hand."

Inko looked at it to see the necklace was still in it. Bewildered by how it got there she let go of it, and pushed it away from her.

She had enough problems already. Lifting a most likely priceless object from her best friend's boss's house? One she's currently living with? That is a top tier horrible decision! The worst decision, in fact!

"Sorry," she said quietly. Naruto sighed, turning off the stove. Putting the fried rice on plates, he brought them over to the table.

Smiling softly, he set the food in front of her. "It's fine, it's just that I have an emotional attachment to that necklace. It was given to me by my grandmother."

"Oh? How did you get it?" Inko asked.

Naruto scratched the back of his head, looking away. "My grandmother loved to gamble, though she was also the worst at it. I, uh, won it off her in a bet. I was going to give it back, but she said to keep it."

"She sounds sweet," Inko said with a smile.

"She liked to punch me through walls," Naruto deadpanned.

Inko sweet dropped at the dry response, but her mind escaped her when she tried the food.

"What did you put in this food?" Inko asked with sparkles in her eyes.

Naruto blinked, saying, "I just put green onion, Chinese sausage, garlic, egg, salt, and ketchup in there."

A beat of silence, and Inko sat back down. "Oh," She said. "Well, I like it."

Naruto smiled at her while closing his eyes, making her blush. Now that her brain wasn't in a fog, she could see his smile was so much more handsome than the night before.

Clearing his throat, Naruto looked at Inko and said, "Well, I better get you back to Mitsuki's house. I, both fortunately and unfortunately, know where they live."

"Why do you say unfortunately?"

"It's the same reason why you crashed here tonight. I also have the unfortunate experience of knowing they are loud." Inko blushed at what he said.

"W-well, they haven't done that while I've been there."

"Jesus, you haven't woken up by the noise they make? Not even a cyclone could wake you up then." Naruto whispered.

"Hey!" Inko said offended.

"I'm sorry, but they shake the building when they get intimate with each other. My apartment had been attacked by villains, and Mitsuki let me crash at their house while it was being rebuilt. I'm surprised that nothing fell off the counter."

Pin-drop silence surrounded the two of them. "Okay, while you have a point, it's still rude." Inko huffed out.

Mitsuki was very concerned about Inko right now. She hadn't responded to any of the messages she sent last she checked, and she was the most responsive person she knew!

If she wasn't sore today, she would go out searching. She would call the cops, but it wasn't worth it.

The cops were probably going to say oh no and do nothing about Inko missing. She had a better chance searching for Inko herself.

Now, there are good cops, but the bad cops out do them twenty to one, so yeah. Screw you, failing government!

She grabbed her phone and called Inko. "Hello?" An old man's voice said. Mitsuki went as white as a sheet because she recognized it as the bartender.

"Hi, yes, I'm looking for Inko…" crap, this was the worst time to forget her last name! What was it? Uh…

"Oh, Mitsuki! Are you talking about the young lass that went home with Naruto? She forgot her phone here, so-"

That was all she heard. Yes, Inko was most likely safe. Quite honestly, one of the only non-heroes Mitsuki is willing to trust with her life is Naruto. "Okay, thank you. For telling me."

She was about to hang up when she remembered that this was Inko's phone she's calling. "Hey, do you know where Naruto's house is?" Mitsuki asked.

"Oh yeah, I live in the same apartment complex as him. Oh, this must be that young lasses phone, huh? I'll go ahead and give it back to her."

" Oh, Okay, thank you!" Old Izuku is always such a kind man. Naruto says he's a friend, but Mitsuki thinks he sees him as more of a father figure.

Inko came out of the bathroom feeling refreshed. Walking into the living room, she saw Naruto looking at the bookshelf. "The books are interesting, huh?" He asked cheekily.

Inko rolled her eyes. How could he be so predictable yet unpredictable? They were so counterintuitive! "I guess they were interesting, but why didn't you show… them… to…"

she slowed down what she was saying when he saw the utter surprise on his face. "Is there something wrong?"

"Oh, no, just…" Naruto looked away before saying, "Oh yeah, Jiji said you left this at the bar." Naruto said while handing Inko her phone.

Inko was surprised, and while scrolling through her phone, she felt all of her blood leave her face. "Hey, Naruto?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you drive me back to Mitsuki's house?"

~

After dropping Inko back at her place, Naruto was driving back home when he heard a voice hiss, You should've mated with her, in his head.

Naruto scoffed and thought, You said the same thing when I met Mitsuki, asshole. I thought you were philosophical, not horny.

No, the voice scoffed. Matatabi is the horny one. I am not being horny, I am being thoughtful.

Says the guy that told me to screw her throughout last night.

The voice scoffed again. It was your thought first. Plus, I'm technically apart of you and your quirk, so, in a sense, you were the one telling yourself that.

Naruto sighed as he parked in the parking garage. In all seriousness, though, she is my first choice. She is kind, loyal, and witty. Plus…

How did she read the books? It should be impossible, I sealed them so only people that put Chakra into it can read its writing! She couldn't read it unless…

She did have Chakra, but it was so little that it would have killed her to move it to a single hand. Not enough to read the book.

Maybe she can see through seals? Or maybe it has to do with her quirk. She was practically hanging on to the Shodaime's Necklace. Wait, could she be a…

A memory tore its way to the front of Inko's mind. How could she miss something so important! Inko didn't know of her people's past. They had no more information than the name.

But now, she had a name and a story. She was Inko Senju of the Senju Clan!
