Dolly felt something was off, as she saw the sky was as colorful as a dream should be. However, something caught her eye right away, and she turned fast when she realized someone was right beside her.

It was Dylan, and Dolly felt her heart thump. Why was she so nervous? She held up her paw as she felt so taken back even as she admired Dylan.

Dylan was by her. Dolly saw him look her way. He was really close to her. When Dylan turned to her, Dolly felt a wave of shyness flush over her body. She felt butterflies. She had to turn away.

She felt her face become warm.

However, she saw that Dylan was moving. She looked back and saw that Dylan laid down, and he slowly crawled to her.

"Hey…. What's wrong…?" Dylan asked her. Dolly heard his voice, and Dylan didn't seem to be shy or nervous. He seemed…. Confident.

"I…..um….." Dolly felt her claws dig into the ground. She couldn't hold it back anymore. Her shyness, her longing. It built up, and she felt herself feel tears.

Guilt. She knew that this was her brother.

Could she really go through with this?

Dolly felt a paw brush her face. Dylan leaned in and stroked her face.

"Why are you worried…. It's okay….. Isn't this what you want…?" Dylan asked her in the sweetest whisper that Dolly seemed to want to hear. For some reason, this Dylan seemed to know how to comfort her feelings.

In this dream, Dylan was very close to her face. He could feel his breath and his muzzle was stroking against hers.

"I want this…. Too…." Dylan told her. Dolly started to breathe heavily as her heart started to race.

"B-But…..why?…. Isn't this…." Dolly couldn't help it as she touched his back as he got so close, they hugged. "...Isn't this… wrong?"

"No….." Dylan whispered as their lips began to brush against each other. "It isn't wrong….. It's…. fate…. Can't you see?"

Dolly felt his breath, his charm. Dolly felt her bliss take over, as she still felt this rush of guilt and longing. She wanted this, and now she had it.

"Is it…..Is it really?" Dolly asked in a quiet tone, leaning closer to Dylan.

Dylan started to stroke her head and he reached behind her head.

"Yes…. We're supposed to be….. Together…."

Dolly finally gave in. As much as she felt guilty and desperate, she couldn't hold back her feelings anymore.

She loved Dylan…. More than she ever should.

"Oh….Dylan…"

"Just… Let it go…."

They both leaned in. They wanted to kiss. Their lips brushed by each other.

Dolly closed her eyes.

Then a burst of flames came to life around them.

Dolly and Dylan's eyes opened and they turned. They saw the flames all around them.

Dylan got up.

"What is going on!?" He asked in panic.

Dolly was speechless as her heart was thumping, now not of love, but of fear. She started to pant.

Soon the flames started to get more and more intense.

Dylan shielded her with his back. They both stood, becoming really scared. They had no way to escape and the flames were closing in too fast.

Dylan turned to her. Dolly stepped back.

Dylan looked at her in silence as the flames were coming ever closer.

"What…. do we do?!"

Soon the flames rushed them and Dylan was engulfed.

"D-DYLAN! NOOOOO!" Dolly tried to jump for Dylan, but the flames just became a wall, nearly knocking her back. She felt horror and fear as she saw Dylan had been engulfed into nothing. "D-DYLAN!"

The flames were closing her off and soon the flames shortened her space.

"No…..No…."

Dolly tried to stay away from the far but it closed in on her. She felt the heat. It wasn't a wall anymore. She felt herself become engulfed slowly.

"NOOOO!" Dolly screamed.

Suddenly she opened her eyes wide as something jumped up in her face.

"RUN!" A female dalmatian's head jumped out of the flames.


Dolly jolted up in a mad sweat. She gasped as she lifted herself up.

"DYLAAAAAN!" Dolly screamed in terror. However, she quickly closed her mouth when she noticed she was surrounded by sleeping puppies.

She cupped her mouth shut.

However, soon Dylan came around the corner.

"Dolly!?" Dylan called, rubbing his eyes. He had just woken up to his sister screaming. He was worried. He slowly walked over to her. "A-Are you alright…?"

Dolly looked around, with her mouth still cupped with both of her paws. She panicked as she examined her young siblings, who oddly didn't wake up to her scream.

Dolly then felt her eyes lock on Dylan. She was still panting, but managed to slow her breathing until it was steady.

Memories of the nightmare still lingered.

However, so did the dream. Butterflies filled her stomach as she gazed at Dylan.

She didn't know how to feel, so she looked down.

"...J-Just….a….nightmare." Dolly explained quietly.

Dylan shook his tired head and he slowly sat down. He stared at her. He was concerned.

"A nightmare….? About what? You woke up screaming my name…." Dylan started questioning. He soon leaned a little closer, not wanting to get too close. "Are you okay….?"

Dolly shook her head. She slowly let her paws down and took a deep breath.

She wanted to explain her dream to him, but soon she took a long moment to realize the harsh truth.

She slowly took a look at her brother.

Dylan tilted his head, in a pondering way, patiently waiting for some sort of answer. Dolly soon remembered how close to him she felt in her dream but now that she was awake, she felt so distant from her brother.

They truly never saw eye to eye like the way they were in her dream…..

But yet…. she wanted it.

She slowly grabbed her face, almost shaking from her desperate embarrassment.

"...Can I….." Dolly let go of her face, feeling very terrible about her emotional state. "...tell you ... later…?

Dylan looked around, seeming confused.

"I mean…. Okay, sure?" Dylan hesitantly agreed. He saw that all of his siblings and his parents were still asleep, so he didn't quite understand. "... But why not….. Now?"

Dolly felt her frustration take its toll as she suddenly turned hard to Dylan.

"Please?!" Dolly shot at Dylan.

Dylan leaned back instinctively. He didn't understand this reaction, but he knew pressing the issue would be the wrong way to go about this.

"O-Okay…. You can tell me later…." Dylan seemed to say in a panicked tone.

Dolly took a large pout as she stood and went past Dylan, which made Dylan wince. Dylan knew she must have had a rough nightmare.

Dylan watched Dolly go towards the nearby window, and she flung open the curtain.

She was faced with a display of droplets, as it was raining really hard outside. She could hear the wind and the rain beating hard on the window. Dolly's eyes widened as she was letting her brain process that it was storming outside.

"Urgh! Really?!" She lifted her head as she yelled into the air.

Dylan walked up behind her.

"Oh yeah…. I noticed that it was raining when I rushed to check up on ya…." Dylan explained to her. He sat down. "It's raining pretty hard, so I doubt it's gonna stop anytime soon…."

Dolly turned, without facing Dylan, and walked by him.

"Oh just great, can this morning get any worse?!" Dolly complained as she walked off, heading out of the room.

Dylan smiled softly.

"Well…. We can still make the most out of today." Dylan tried to tell her with a soft, caring smile.

"Bite me…" Dolly mocked as she turned the corner, disappearing from view.

Dylan watched her walk away for a moment, however he shortly followed.

Dolly held her head down, for she was still affected by the nightmare and she was tired. Dylan was still concerned for her and he knew he wasn't gonna be able to shake that feeling.

"A-Are you hungry….? I- I could make us breakfast…." Dylan offered weakly.

Dolly tried to ignore him, as they slowly walked into the hall, and towards the staircase. Dolly felt horrible as everything seemed to be affecting her. She was glad most of the puppies were still asleep, as she noticed puppies were not around.

As Dolly was still waking up, she tried to not think of the dream she had, but she could not get rid of the feeling she had at the beginning of the dream.

How close…. Dylan and Dolly were.

As Dolly slowly started to descend the staircase, Dylan stopped at the top of the stairs and watched her descend. He watched her descend slowly.

Dylan had never felt so off, talking to Dolly. He was having odd feelings.

"Uh… Errr…" He started to stutter. He felt nervous and did not want to annoy her. "Are you sure you're alright….?"

Dolly didn't say a word as she turned at the bottom of the stairs and went into the living room.

Within the living room, there were several puppies who were actually awake. Dolly slowly went towards the couch and laid down.

Dolly slowly looked towards the window, and she saw the rain was relentless.

Dolly signed. She actually wanted sunshine, so she could get away from these feelings she was afraid of. She didn't want to make Dylan mad or ashamed of her.

Dylan slowly looked into the room and he stayed by the door. He eventually did enter the room and he was examining Dolly. However, he was trying to not be seen checking on her, so he slowly went to the window. He felt nervous. He didn't know how to approach her.

Dylan soon felt something move in the corner, and looked. At first he didn't see anything in the shadows, but soon his eyes adjusted and he saw the black dalmatian of the family, Dante.

He sat in the corner with his eyes closed, and he seemed to be in a mediation stance.

"...Today…. Diaster will fall upon our house…. But with it…. Comes internal peace…" Dante predicted in a weird tone.

Dylan tilted his head.

"Wha…? Dante? Why are you up so early?" Dylan asked, feeling a nerve surface in his stomach.

Dante opened one eye, but closed it again.

"...Why do you think? It's disaster day brotha!" Dante said in a panic taunting tone.

Dylan shook his head and he looked outside. He seemed to sigh deeply.

"Nothing's going to happen today, Dante…. It's all in your head…" Dylan tried to reassure him.

However, Dylan felt Dante rush up behind him, and before Dylan could turn, Dante grabbed his face and pulled him close, nose to nose.

"It's in ALL OF OUR HEADS! It's the DAY OF DISASTER!" Dante screamed in panic.

"Dude! Chill…." Dylan demanded as he pushed his brother off of him. Dante sat down, still staring at Dylan with his wild eyes. "And…. Dolly isn't in the best of moods, can you NOT do this right now…?"

Dante hopped away from Dylan, but as he was partly turned, he pointed his paw at his brother.

"Sorry bro, but Dolly and you are the cause of the disaster….!" Dante slowly touched his chin. "...Or….Or are you two…the internal peace….?"

Dante slowly waved it off.

"Eh. You're both at least one of them." Dante predicted again, and then he hopped away. Dylan watched him leave the room.

Which left a small silence within the room.

Dolly shook her head slowly.

"That kid has some serious issues…." Dolly mumbled. Dylan still remained sitting near the window. He scratched the back of his own ear.

Dolly looked outside, as the rain was pouring down, as down as she felt. She took a sigh.

She knew why she felt this way. She wanted to go outside. She wanted to get away from the family even for just a moment. Her feelings were playing tricks on her and she knew it. She didn't want this change, but there was a change she felt in her heart. She closed her eyes, and thought about sleeping the day away.

Dylan slightly turned to examine Dolly. Dylan could tell that she was distressed. He could tell something was bothering her. He didn't know what, but for some reason his own feelings made him want to care for her. He didn't know what was bothering her, but he knew that he wanted to help her somehow.

Dylan slowly got up. He stood for a moment, then he took a few steps towards her.

"Do you need me to give you some space…?" Dylan looked behind him for a moment. "... I could take care of the chores today, so you could get some rest….. If that's what you want…."

Dolly opened her eyes slowly, pondering about his offer. She did want that, but something was biting at her heart.

Would she really feel this guilty before? Usually she would love Dylan to do all the chores by himself, but now that she had that dream…. Her want…. And longing…

Dolly slowly sat up with a frustrated sigh.

"What I want…." Dolly shot a swift paw towards the window where the rain was still beating on it. "..Is to go outside! I can't get what I want…"

Dylan took a sigh, and he looked to the right. There was this gut feeling he had. He didn't quite understand but he began to upset him. He wanted to help Dolly and he knew he could not do that. She wanted to go outside, but the storm was massive and unpleasant. He pondered his choices….

However, he could not come up with any ideas.

He slowly looked further away.

He slowly got back up and he thought about walking away. Eventually he did with a deep exhale.

Dolly went to lay back down, but half way down, she paused. She felt something tug at her, and she knew what it was.

Guilt and longing. She couldn't handle it anymore! She sat up and pawed the arm of the couch a few times.

"Come on!" She mouthed as she hated herself at the moment. She slowly started to breathe heavily. She needed to figure this out.

She needed to talk to someone. Anyone…..

Anyone…. who was not Dylan, and someone who wouldn't judge her.


Dylan was walking through the hall, and he could tell that there were a lot more pups running around now. Not all of them have woken up, but a lot of them did.

Dylan had his head low, as he was deep in thought. He couldn't seem to let go of his thoughts. He was trying to think about something else. However, he didn't sleep all too well last night.

He was lying in the dark during the night. Unlike Dolly he didn't dream. In fact he didn't really fall asleep.

He just... couldn't get Dolly out of his mind. He had no idea what was wrong with him, but it was happening.

He felt…. obsessed all of a sudden.

He couldn't stop thinking about how cool he thought Dolly was. How she was brave, and confident….. She was everything he wanted to be….. Everything he wanted to love….

…. And how beautiful she-

Dylan shook his head hard.

"Come on man!" Dylan mouthed at himself. He pawed his face before he pushed open the kitchen door quickly. "What is wrong with me….?"

"The answer is simple my brother." Dylan blinked when he heard the voice. Dylan blinked and he saw Dante running up to him fast. Dylan's eyes widened as he tried to walk backwards but he was too fast. Dante grabbed his cheeks.

"IT'S A DISASTER DAY!" Dante screamed once again, shaking Dylan's head as Dylan could only see Dante's crazed eyes.

Dylan managed to push him hard enough to which Dante landed on his back against the floor.

"Dude! Cut it out…!" Dylan complained.

Dante frowned hard as he sat back up and pointed.

"No! You gotta understand, this is happening man! My visions are usually ALWAYS right!" Dante yelled out as his eyes were still crazed. "Tell me you're NOT feeling high tense emotions right NOW!

Dylan's face softened in a bit of surprise. Dylan quickly shook his head, trying to shake his true expression. He gave Dante a false annoyed expression instead,

"High… Tense….. What!?" Dylan asked, seeming confused.

Dante tilted his head, his eyes almost softening, but his eyes seemed to be shaking a little bit.

"My vision…. It had three things…" Dante slowly explained. "...Intense emotions…. Disaster…. and then internal peace."

Dylan seemed to listen this time. He slowly tilted his head very slowly.

"What kind…. Of….. internal peace….?" Dylan asked, becoming a slight bit curious. He wondered if his vision had any significance.

Dante slowly blinked, but then he lifted his paws.

"Aren't you more worried about the...complete and utter DISASTER?!" Dante questioned in a big shrug.

Dylan shook his head.

"I-I mean…. Sure? But I'm more interested in….. The… uh…." Dylan slowly started to scratch the back of his head. "... The uh…. End results?"

Dante slowly stood up and reached for a dog bowl. He spun it.

"...MMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" Dante soon stopped the bowl, closing his eyes. "Do I look like a psychic?"

Dylan began to look away from his dark furred brother, as he began to mumble.

"More…. Like a crazy person…" Dylan said under his breath.

Dante soon put the dog bowl on its side and kicked it as he stood. He started to walk off.

"Well when DISASTER strikes…. Don't come CRYING to me!" Dante mocked as he walked away.

Dylan watched him walk away. He seemed to feel even more flustered than he already did. He slowly started to leave the kitchen.

"I'm…. not hungry anymore…." Dylan slowly left through the kitchen door.


Dolly went upstairs, scanning the room for the one pup she could possibly let out her feelings. She couldn't stand not talking to anyone anymore. She truly hoped she was just getting desperate, but she had to let out emotion.

As she was upstairs, several pups kicked a ball around as she passed, and she went into one of the bedrooms.

Several pups were in here, but here she slowly zeroed in on one pup she might be able to trust.

Da Vinci, the colorful spotted dalmatian, who was currently working on a new painting of hers, was in the far end of the room. Dolly took a deep breath and approached.

"Hi uh…. Da Vinci." Dolly greeted shyly.

Da Vinci turned slightly, not turning her body but only her head.

"Oh? Dolly? Is that you?" Da Vinci asked before she turned a little better. "How is my lovely sister? How did you sleep last night?"

Dolly slowly smiled and shook her head, feeling like she was trying to convince herself that it was okay to tell Da Vinci her true feelings.

"...No not really… I had…. A nightmare…" Dolly looked at another nearby window and her shallow voice became even more shallow. "...And….I can't go ride my skateboard to take off this feeling of…..um…"

Dolly slowly choked on her words. She couldn't pin a feeling she felt like.

She felt…longing…. Dread…..Want…and worse of all…..

Love….

Da Vinci nodded a few times. She was collecting her thoughts as she listened to Dolly's feelings. She turned slowly back to her painting.

"Well…. I'm not sure what kind of nightmare you had last night…." Da Vinci figured as she was getting into her painting. "However, I do know whenever I have a nightmare…. Or whenever something is bothering me…. I go forth, and put it into my art…."

Da Vinci turned away from her painting again and pointed her brush,

"... It's much like your skateboard…. It helps get your mind off things…." Da Vinci turned. Dolly noticed that she was sitting in a rolling chair. "However…. When I can't put it into art…. I would do what you're doing now… and talk to someone ..."

Dolly looked down slowly. She was becoming nervous.

"So…. do you want to talk about it?" Da Vinci asked her slowly. Da Vinci took this moment to stick her brush into some water.

Dolly felt her nerves rattle. She watched Da Vinci spin her brush within the water for a moment, trying to stop her mind from racing. Now coming face to face with the moment of revealing her true feelings, her heart started to thump. Dolly sat down, and she slowly grew into a sad expression.

"...Y-Yes…. And No…." Dolly answered honestly and she slowly looked around to see if any other pups were watching them. "...I-If I do tell you, I don't want….I don't want….um…."

Da Vinci spun it a little slower.

"Hm….?" She hummed as she waited for Dolly to find her courage. Da Vinci knew that something was troubling her.

Dolly put her paw down and took a deep exhale. She opened her eyes, with little determination she had left.

"...I don't want anyone else to know what I'm about to tell you…." Dolly told the truth.

Da Vinci let go of her brush and she stared at Dolly with a concerned expression. She didn't know what Dolly was going to tell her, but she knew she could keep a secret.

Da Vinci hopped down and slowly walked towards the door. She slowly closed it.

"Okay…. Its not anything…. Bad…. right?" Da Vinci asked her as she closed the door shut. She even turned the lock that was near the knob.

Dolly took a moment, and took a nod, before she tilted her head.

"In a way no…." She slowly grabbed her arm and looked away. "...In a weird way, yeah….?" Dolly mumbled.

Da Vinci looked down, she took a second but then she slowly walked away from the door and moved to a position in front of her sister and slowly sat down.

She slowly gave Dolly a small soft smile.

"Okay…." Da Vinci seemed to calm Dolly down with her tone and her sweet smile. "Whatever it is that you need to get off your chest…. I promise I won't be mad, judge you, or even laugh…. And your secret will be safe with me…."

Dolly took a small breath that seemed to shake with emotion. She looked up and pointed at her with her paw.

"You promise…?" Dolly asked with a serious tone. Da Vinci tilted her head with a confident smile.

"I promise!" Da Vinci promised and she held her chest. "...Dalmatian nation honor!"

Dolly slowly grabbed her arm again, and rubbed it up and down, feeling sick to her stomach. She slowly gulped.

"Okay…..I…." Dolly felt her words stick to her throat again as butterflies flew all over her stomach. She closed her eyes as she tried to muster the confidence. "...I…I…I….I…."

Da Vinci slowly leaned in, wondering what she had in her chest that was this hard to say.

"...I kinda….. … I s-sorta…. I….. I mean I…." Dolly suddenly pointed her nose to the air and shouted. "I like Dylan!"

Da Vinci lost her smile. She didn't exactly catch on. She even giggled.

"So…. You mean you like your brother?" Da Vinci asked. She scratched her head a bit. "I mean, he's our brother…. Of course we're going to like him. We're family…. Whats so wrong with that?"

Dolly slowly pawed herself and rubbed it off her nose. She slowly touched Da Vinci's back and brought her closer.

"I mean… I reeeeallly…..like…. Dylan…" Dolly said with slight annoyance.

Da Vinci's eyes opened up wide. She finally caught on. Out of all things she wasn't expecting that.

"Like….. Like, Like….. Like Like….?" Da Vinci asked, starting to feel her own set of butterflies. She had no idea why this was happening to Dolly, but it made her unsure. They both felt quite awkward.

Dolly nodded.

"Y-Yeah…." Dolly answered slowly, nodding her head. Da Vinci looked up to her as they just happened to stare at one another for a long awkward moment.

Dolly soon suddenly grabbed her face and spun around, getting up to walk away.

"Urgh! You must think I'm so WEIRD!" Dolly mocked herself as she did get up and start walking towards the wall.

Da Vinci tucked her paw under her chin. She thought for a moment, and then she tilted her head.

"A-Are you sure…?" Da Vinci asked, sounding doubtful.

Dolly turned her head and eyed her. She tilted her head.

"That…. That I'm weird or that I like Dylan?" Dolly asked her as she felt a new wave of embarrassed butterflies enter her stomach.

Da Vinci was rubbing her chin as she pondered the question. She let go.

"Both…?" She answered unsure again.

Dolly looked away and thought about it. She wanted to go outside more than ever now and she climbed upon the window. She took a sign.

"...Ever since Hansel rejected me…. I started to notice just how nice Dylan actually was…" Dolly looked down towards the streets towards nothing practical. "...He even went to try to get me back with Hansel…. But…."

Dolly shook her head and looked at Da Vinci.

"...I had a dream where Dylan and I were together….. I started to feel this way two days ago, and now I can't get rid of it" Dolly slowly went up to Da Vinci in panic. "You got to help me!"

Da Vinci looked away trying to think about this herself. She pondered on what to do in this situation. She never thought that Dolly would feel this way. This was all so very odd. It made Da Vinci feel nervous and shy.

"H-Have…. you talked to Dylan about this….?" Da Vinci asked slowly. She figured that the answer was going to be no, she had not.

Dolly turned around completely to her and shook her head, baffled.

"Are you crazy?!" Dolly slowly walked up to Da Vinci. "He would think I'm the worst sister in the world!..." Dolly looked away, feeling ashamed.

"...If he doesn't already think that…" Dolly mocked herself once more.

Da Vinci shook her head.

"I don't think he thinks that at all!" Da Vinci disagreed in a high pitched and sad tone. She stepped closer. "M-Maybe you should talk to him! …. Who knows! Maybe you both can figure out why you're feeling this way…."

Dolly seemed taken back by this idea, and slowly kept shaking her head.

"N-No way! I'm not…" Dolly stomped her paw. "I'm not doing that! That's a stupid idea!"

Dolly soon started to walk towards the door.

Da Vinci felt hesitant, but she got up slowly and started following her.

"T-Then…. What… ARE you going to tell him" She asked in a very harsh whisper.

Dolly touched the door, and she turned to Da Vinci slowly. She took a pout.

"I…..don't know…..You're….. not gonna tell anyone about this….right?" Dolly asked again, in slight worry.

Da Vinci slowly shook her head.

"N-No…. But I…. But I…." Da Vinci whispered as she took a step closer. Dolly however, had no plans to listen much more as she slowly started to leave the room. Da Vinci's whisper only got harsher as she noticed Dolly wasn't trying to listen. "I still think you should at least tell Dylan!"


Dylan was looking around the entertainment room. He was searching for the remote so he could turn on the news. He wanted to check out the news.

He wanted to see how bad the storm was. He was always wanting to stay a step ahead of any signs of danger. He lifted up the cushions as he searched calmly for any trace of the electronic device.

"...Where are you…..? Where are you….?" Dylan mumbled as he tried to focus his mind on this simple task. He would hate it if his mind wandered back to Dolly, who he could not help right now.

"...Looking for something?!" A suddenly familiar voice appeared behind Dylan, called out. Dylan flipped around, knocking the cushion away accidentally.

Upon the fireplace, was Dawkin. He was a puppy dalmatian who loved to work with technology. He wore a high tech collar he built himself.

Within his paw was the remote to the TV.

Dylan smiled as he stood straight. He grabbed the cushion and put it back into its rightful place. He patted it and turned towards Dawkin.

"Oh! Cool, thanks! I was looking for that…." Dylan said to his brother as he took a few steps closer to the fireplace.

Dylan soon reached for the remote, however right as he tried to grab it, Dawkin pulled it away.

"Hey!" Dylan cried as he felt annoyed instantly.

"Nah uh!" Dawkin denied as he twirled the remote in his paw. "I have been watching both you and Dolly, and you two have been acting funny lately! ….So? What gives?"

Dylan felt his face shift into a weird expression of both annoyance and of denial. He slowly sat down.

"What do you mean….?" Dylan looked away, holding his stern expression. He slowly rubbed the back of his head. "We haven't been acting weird…. I mean… Dolly did have a nightmare last night, if that's what you're talking about….?"

Dawkin pawed the remote to the wood panel, and tilted his head.

"...I've only been watching you, and you haven't been acting normal. I mean let me ask you…." Dawkin looked at his other paw with slight knowing pride. "...When was the last time you did one of your nerdy things…? Like, when was the last time you checked your bone collection? Or played poodlewolf? Or even looked at the stars?"

Dylan gave him a false smile. He tried to give him a false sense of confidence.

"I did watch the sunset last night…." Dylan informed him.

Dawkin then decided to eye him hard. Dawkin knew something else was going on, and Dawkin was going to find out.

"...Dylan…. I'm your brother…." Dawkin slowly soothed. "...And I'm smart enough to know when my brother and sister are not acting like themselves….."

Dylan held out his paw.

"Will you just give me the remote!?" Dylan demanded. Dylan tried to reach Dawkin fast, but Dawkin being smaller quickly bit the remote and hopped off the fireplace. Dylan grunted, but he gave chase and ran after Dawkin, who sprinted across the floor.

Dawkin soon went over to the window fast and opened it. He shot his paw out the window, which held the remote.

"Don't or it's gone!" Dawkin threatened.

Dylan pouted in anger.

"Dude! I need to check the news! I want to see how bad the storm is!" Dylan explained in frustration.

"Oooh that's gonna suck when the remote breaks from how wet it's gonna be when it hits the grass!" Dawkin soon frowns hard. "Now tell me the truth!"

Dylan felt his face shift. His anger slowly faded into a very nervous state. He stared for a moment. This made Dawkin's determination shift to a less, but still serious expression.

"W-…..What exactly are you asking me…?" Dylan asked, hoping he could somehow avoid the truth.

Dawkin felt the remote slightly get guided back inside, but he could still easily throw out the remote. Dawkin's serious expression slowly faded.

"...Just the truth…. What are you hiding?" Dawkin asked seriously.

Dylan shook his head. He stared. Dylan wasn't even sure he was hiding anything. Sure, he had some odd feelings…. But they were nothing….

Wasn't it….?

"H-Hiding…?" Dylan asked, as he slowly sat down. His feelings were surfacing. Was he really going to tell Dawkin his weird and awkward feelings? Dylan wondered if it was even worth telling…. He only started feeling the way he did last night.

Dawkin slowly brought the remote back inside and he slowly held it as he eyed Dylan. He knew something else was going on, even if it was just depression from rejection. Dawkin truly just wanted to get closer to his elder brother. If he could help, he wanted to.

"...Dylan whatever you're going through…. I'm your brother. I just want to help. Whatever it is…. I won't bite." Dawkin smoothly told.

Dylan thought about it. However, he wondered how he could even tell Dawkin. Dylan didn't even understand his own feelings. He even wondered if the feelings he had were temporary or if it was something that wasn't going to change. Even despite all his doubts…..

….. He still wondered if he liked Dolly in such an intimate way.

Dylan looked away.

Could Dawkin really be trusted with his deepest feelings? He wondered.

Dylan then gestured his head.

"Door…."

Dawkin took a breath and he jumped off the couch, walking slowly to the door. He turned around to face Dylan, and he kicked the door with his back paw, shutting the door. Dawkin took his paw from the door, and turned to face Dylan.

"What's up?" Dawkin asked, as he slowly sat.

Dylan soon felt the heat of shyness hit his core. He brought up his paw and rubbed his ear downward, feeling really awkward. Was he really going to tell his younger brother that he liked his very own sister?

He knew he had to tell him, but now that he was about to tell Dawkin his true feelings for Dolly, he began to doubt himself.

"So... What...?" Dawkin asked again.

Dylan shook his head.

"I don't know..." Dylan said, as he looked down. "It's...really...really embarrassing..."

Dawkin frowned.

"Dylan..." Dawkin began. "I won't judge you... Don't worry about it..."

Dylan felt himself frozen. Dylan felt his feelings for Dolly intensify. He started to feel sweat in a pant that turned his blood cold, and he felt intense butterflies in his gut.

The only calming thing that made Dylan not panic was the serious look Dawkin was giving him.

Dylan took a breath, and he looked down. Dylan felt his front forearms shake hard, barely keeping him up.

"O-Okay...I...I...I" Dylan gulped, and Dawkin himself felt nervous about why Dylan was becoming so scared of his own feelings. "...I..."

And then Dylan screamed.

"I LIKE DOLLY!" Dylan shouted, and as soon as he did, he realized he had shouted, slamming his paws against his mouth to shut himself up

As soon as Dylan realized how loud he was, he looked down, and saw Dawkin's face.

"What...?" Dawkin asked, as he raised a brow. Dylan felt his blood turn even colder, and he pulled at his collar.

"Is-Is it getting hot in here, or is it just me?!" Dylan asked as he panted with his tongue.

"I-I just..." Dawkin replied. Dawkin slowly closed his mouth, pondering what his brother just told him. He knew he meant more than just like. Did Dylan have deep feelings for Dolly?

"I-I...I..." Dylan choked, and his forearms began to shake again. Dawkin slowly held his chin, pondering what he was just told. He also remembered that Dylan was just recently rejected.

"...Now...are you sure you actually feel this way for Dolly, and not just upset with what happened earlier?" Dawkin tried to sooth.

Dylan shook his forearms, and he felt his front fore paws begin to tremble.

"D-D-D..Dude…." Dylan struggled to say.

Dawkin snapped, trying to get Dylan to focus.

"Come on Dylan. I'm not judging you for this, I just want to understand it is all." Dawkin slowly gave Dylan a warm smile, making Dylan finally feel just a little bit calmer.

"N-No..." Dylan replied. "I...I do...like...Dolly..." Dylan finished.

For a moment they were silent, with Dawkin trying to figure things out, and Dylan trying to calm his nerves. Then, Dylan suddenly shivered, feeling cold.

"I-I'm getting cold..." Dylan shivered.

Dawkin slowly gave Dylan the remote, in which Dylan smiled as he took it.

"Look... just take some time before actually trying something okay?" Dawkin spoke, feeling a little nervous himself. Dylan looked like he was defeated. "I know you're worried about her, but right now I think you're emotionally distressed... Take some time to figure out your own feelings." Dylan nodded, and he turned the TV on.

"That's a good idea..." Dylan agreed as nodded.

"Take all the time you need..." Dawkin told as he turned towards the TV.

Dylan flipped through several channels before finally reaching the News channel.

Eventually Dylan landed on Channel 3 News.

"On today's news, we are advising everyone to stay indoors! The rain is getting heavier and heavier, and soon it will start to flood the streets. Be watching out for sudden flash flood warnings." The News reporter spoke.

Soon, this kicked in Dylan's fears as he started to get worried. Dylan threw the remote towards the couch, and walked outside the room.

"Feelings or not, I need to get Dolly to help me protect the pups!" Dylan announced as he headed for the hallway.


Dylan had found Dolly. She was reluctant at first, but she soon decided it was best to help out.

Soon, all the pups were with Dylan and Dolly, as they were doing a headcount.

"87, 88, 89..." Dylan counted as pups were all heading to the living room, where Dylan wanted to watch the pups as the TV was there, and he could keep tabs on the news.

Dolly was in her normal resting spot upon the stair railing, still in her depression.

She signed.

"Are you sure that we should be worried about a little heavy rain...?" Dolly asked, slightly annoyed and bored.

"D-Dolly," Dylan stated, not knowing exactly how he was feeling. "The rain is gonna get bad..." Dylan explained.

Dolly rolled her eyes and jumped off the railing.

"Whatever. Beats being bored I guess..." Dolly soon entered the living room, and turned to the pups. "All pups line up! Time for health checks!" Dolly happily announced.

The pups quickly lined up, and as soon as all were lined up, Dolly began.

"Ok, let's start with teeth!" Dolly announced. Dylan finished the count, and soon walked over to the couch to oversee the health check. Dylan soon was watching Dolly as she seemed to be doing the health check, but lost in her own thoughts.

Dylan soon found himself gazing at her beauty, so much so he didn't even notice the pup that jumped on the couch beside him.

"Dylan!" Dawkin suddenly barked sharply. This made Dylan jump. "What are you doing? You're supposed to be watching the pups!"

"I-I-I was..." Dylan replied.

"Well, it looks like you weren't."

Dylan shook his head and returned his gaze to Dolly.

Soon Dolly had finished with the health check. She was now standing by the couch, staring at the TV.

"The weather report said the rain is getting bad..." Dolly stated. Dylan went and sat closer to Dolly. Even though he was really shy, she was still his sister, and he had to act a little more normal if he wanted her not to catch on to anything.

However this had the opposite effect.

Both Dolly and Dylan froze up, and felt their gaze stay on the TV.

Dolly's heart, as she still had that vivid dream before, was racing. Being so close to Dylan reminded her how much she was being drawn to Dylan, and his matureness.

Dylan on the other hand was so nervous, he felt his blood run cold, and he wanted to sweat. However, being a dalmatian he had to not pant to show Dolly how shy he was. Her beauty, and coolness drew him in, and he had to try really hard to hide his blush.

They both stayed frozen, and both were showing so much anxiety, neither could see anything on the TV.

The only ones who noticed how they were acting were Da Vinci, and Dawkins, who were on opposites of the room, separated by a sea of puppies.

Both of the puppies could sense something was up, but had no clue how to go about it.

Suddenly, the television hummed a loud beep.

Both Dylan and Dolly broke out of their state of bliss, and eyed the screen hard.

There were several beeps, and on the screen were the text.

"Warning: Flash Flood warning in effect."

Dylan had an instant reaction as he stood.

"Oh no!" Dylan yelled out, making several pups jump. Dylan soon dashed over the closest and pulled clothing out of it. "Oh no, oh no!"

Dolly rolled his eyes.

"It's just a warning!" Dolly complained, annoyed by Dylan's worry.

Dylan soon pulled out several sand bags.

"A warning is the moment we have to prepare!" Dylan complained as he soon ran over to the window with the sandbag and set one down. "We have to keep everyone safe!"

Dolly wasn't as worried, and rolled her eyes again.

"Do you think we should be worried? I mean, it is just a warning, right?" Dolly asked.

Dylan stopped, and took a breath.

"No," Dylan said. "But if it's a warning, then there's gotta be a chance ...and if the chance is there, then we should prepare."

Dolly soon watched Dylan as he stacked several more sandbags, running back and forth, in a slight panic. Even all the other pups watched.

Dylan soon ran out of sandbags, and it didn't even reach the window.

"No...No no this isn't good!" Dylan soon started to panic. "We need more sandbags!"

Dolly took a deep exhale as she was more annoyed, then scared. She stood and walked over.

"Dylan...Dylan..." Dolly called, but as she walked over, Dylan was still fanatically looking for something to replace as a sandbag. Dolly soon grunted as she grabbed Dylan's cheeks and forced him to look her in the eyes. "Dylan! I need you to calm down."

Dylan looked at Dolly, and lowered his eyes.

"I'm sorry," Dylan apologized. "But we need the sandbags!"

Dolly shook her head, not moving away from the closeness of his face.

"No, Dylan, we don't... we are going to be just fine... nothing is going to happen to me, you, or the pups... okay?" Dolly told in a very calm, and soothing voice.

Dylan took in a deep breath, and sighed.

"Okay...," Dylan answered.

Dolly let him go, and Dylan let his forehead fall.

Dolly moved away from Dylan, feeling embarrassed, and focused her gaze on the 97 puppies within the living. She signed.

"Okay pups! We are going to stay calm, and level headed. We are all safe in here, and nothing is going to-"

As if Dolly had jinxed it, everyone jumped as something shattered.

The window had exploded in a shatter.

Everyone turned hard to the window, and they all saw it was completely shattered.

Dylan was smacked hard in the face as a rock had suddenly pelted his cheek hard.

"YIPE!" Dylan cried as he landed on the floor.

"Dylan?!" Dolly cried as she quickly jumped towards him. Dylan was rubbing his cheek as he was on the floor.

"The hell was that...?" Dylan cried, but his annoyance soon turned to fear.

Dolly soon felt her paws were wet, and they all stared at the floor.

Water was already covering four inches above their paws.

Dolly and Dylan turned hard towards the window, and saw water was pouring hard into the house.

Dolly felt her fur stick up.

"FLASH FLOOD!" She cried.

All the pups held their ears.

The water was pouring in hard, and rising fast.

"We have to get out of here!" Dolly yelled. Dylan turned to the pups.

"PUPS! We need to go upstairs-" However, he froze when he saw there was a current, and several of the pups were being pushed against it. His heart sank and remembered some of the pups could not swim. Dylan turned to the pups.

Dylan and Dolly exchanged looks, and they knew they had to act fast.

"Let's go!" Dolly yelled.

The pups quickly ran to the stairs, as the water was rising fast. They climbed up the stairs, and raced to the second floor.

Dolly focused her efforts on the pups caught by the current. She quickly ran to a painting of her entire family, and ripped it off the wall. She soon slammed in against the water and pushed it towards the pups who were having trouble.

She bit on to one pup, and placed her on the painting. The painting was light enough to float, but heavy enough to support the tiny puppies weight.

The water was already to her belly.

Dylan focused his efforts on demanding the pups to get up the stairs.

"Go! Go! Go! No slowing down, and NO SHOVING!" Dylan cried.

The pups quickly ran up the stairs.

Dylan soon saw one of the pups was having trouble in the water, he rushed to her, splashing in the water..

Dylan quickly grabbed the pup, and rushed to Dolly, who already had a lot of pups on the painting. Dylan put the pup on the painting.

"This is bad!" Dylan cried as he felt his chest start to get covered in water.

"Dylan!" Dolly yelled.

Dylan turned to see Dolly struggling, and seemed really tired.

"Help me!" Dolly cried. Dylan took a moment, but he nodded. He soon helped Dolly as they both pushed the painting towards the stairs.

"COME ON! WE HAVE TO GET UP THESE STAIRS!" Dylan cried. Dolly and Dylan both pushed hard as the water was rising fast.

Soon the painting docked at the steps, and the pups all rushed towards the top floor.

As soon as the last pup was upstairs, Dolly nodded, and they both went up after them.

Dolly and Dylan slowly walked in soak and wet, to the bedroom full of pups.

Dolly and Dylan took a moment to get their breath, and Dylan nodded.

"Head count... We need to do another head count." Dylan ordered as he advanced towards the pups. "5...6...7...8...9...10...11...12...13...14...15...16...17...18...19..."

Dolly nodded and started behind him to do a health check. She had to make sure no pup was hurt.

Everything seemed to be in order, until Dylan froze at the last pup.

One was missing.

Dylan turned to Dolly in a panic.

"Dorothy! Dorothy is missing!" Dylan announced loudly.

"Search the house! Find her!" Dolly ordered as she quickly headed downstairs.

Dylan ran downstairs, and started to search for her. Dylan however froze when Dolly dove into the water.

"Dolly! Wait, that's too dangerous!" Dylan yelled, afraid to go in after her.

Dolly held her breath as she swam in the flooded house. The entire first floor was submerged in water. Everything was being ruined, and this made Dolly sad.

However, Dolly focused on finding Dorothy.

Dolly's eyes widened when she saw Dorothy.

Dorothy was still awake as she was dog paddling hard, but she wasn't strong enough to beat the current.

Dolly grabbed Dorothy, and soon kicked off the living room wall.

However, right as she did, she soon saw something that made her panic.

A sudden support beam smashed downward, and fell right between the door.

It blocked her way.

Dolly almost panicked, losing some breath. She couldn't get through. Dolly tried to shove through, but her large body couldn't go through.

After several tries, she froze when Dorothy looked like she was almost about to pass out.

Dolly closed her eyes frustrated, and she did the only thing she could do.

She threw Dorothy towards the staircase.

Dylan soon saw Dorothy splash out of the water.

"Dorothy?!" Dylan cried.

Dorothy hit the water, and panicked as she tried to swim.

Dylan hit the water as well, and started to carry Dorothy to the stairs.

"Dorothy, it's okay..." Dylan soon brought over the weak pup towards the stairs. She slowly stood on the staircase. Dorothy looked weak, but alive.

Dylan slowly started to panic. Where was Dolly?!

"Dolly..." Dylan soon turned hard, and dove into the water.

He went fast and soon panicked.

Dylan saw Dolly trying hard to move the support beam in her way.

Dylan felt panic, and he swam hard to help her.

Dolly saw Dylan, but her mind was fading fast. She was starting to drown.

However, her feelings for Dylan kicked in.

Dylan's here... He's here to save her...

Dolly soon took the last bit of her strength and grabbed the support beam and pushed.

Dylan blinked, but he knew she wanted him to help. He swam hard towards her, and used the force to push it hard.

Soon, with their combined might, they shoved the support beam up, and away, making it fall to the ground.

However, Dylan's heart dropped. Dolly suddenly passed out as darkness took over her vision. After the beam was moved, Dolly started to float up as if it knocked her out.

Panic shot out of Dylan, as bubbles covered up his scream. Dylan bit his tongue and grabbed Dolly.

He kicked off the floor, and rushed out of the water.

Dylan soon had Dolly on his back, and he was in panic.

"Dolly! Dolly wake up!" Dylan cried as soon as he had reached the surface.

Dylan quickly rushed to the top of the stairs where all the other pups were watching.

Da Vinci and Dawkin both stood behind Dylan very worried for Dolly as he set her softly on the floor.

Dylan started to act fast.

"Come on! Come on!" Dylan said as he suddenly hopped on her stomach with his front paws and began to push on it.

It worked for the most part, and water soon was shot out of her mouth.

However she still didn't breathe.

All the pups began to panic fast.

Dawkin raised his paws in the air.

"D-Dylan! Even if the water is out of her lungs, you might need to perform mouth to mouth and get her breathing again!" Dawkin panicked.

Dylan panted.

"Mouth to mouth?!" Dylan complained, however when he looked down at Dolly, his fears kicked in.

She was dying.

Dylan frowned and then went down towards her mouth, and blew into it.

Her stomach rose as air filled her lungs.

Dylan went up for air, and went down again.

Air filled her lungs.

Soon, all the pups were quiet, and scared for their elder sister.

Dylan wasn't going to stop, he was going to save her! He needed her!

Da Vinci held her paw to her mouth, and Dawkin pulled his ears down.

Dylan went up for air one more time.

And soon, Dolly started to cough fast.

"Urgh! Ark! Urgh-"

And Dylan went down again... right as Dolly rose up.

Soon Dylan and Dolly froze when their lips met in a kiss.

Dolly and Dylan froze, for a long moment, both realizing what was happening, and not realizing they were frozen in a kiss.

Dylan was frozen, and his heart was racing.

Dolly's mind was just... blank.

Her mind was blank, and her body was still paralyzed.

But… their lips were connected.

When Dylan's face finally shifted due to his utter surprise and confusion, it seemed to only strengthen the kiss.

All the pups all slowly gasped as they grasped the situation, all expecting Dolly to go full rage mode.

Dolly finally felt her brain to start working again, and she shoved Dylan really hard in the chest, making him land hard on the floor.

"URGH! DYLAN! What are the DOG ARE YOU DOING?!" Dolly yelled out as she blushed and she grabbed her mouth with her paws. She was so embarrassed. Not because Dylan kissed her….

….But because she liked it.

Dylan slowly shook his head with his paw, as he slowly stared at her for a moment, before he made an attempt to get up. He was blushing hard.

"I-I-It wasn't what it looked like!" Dylan rubbed his sore head.

Dawkin quickly stepped in front of Dylan with his small body, waving at Dolly to keep him calm.

"He was giving you mouth to mouth to save your life!" Dawkin cried in plea.

Dylan slowly nodded his head in agreement.

"Y-Yeah! You…. You stopped breathing…." Dylan confirmed quietly.

Dolly slowly looked at the ground, still holding her mouth. She was still blushing, and her mind was still racing, but she was coming to terms that Dylan wasn't trying to do something crazy.

In fact, he had saved her very life, and her butterflies once again took flight.

She slowly let go of her mouth.

"O-Oh…" Dolly mumbled as she realized the truth.

There was a moment of silence as everyone was trying to calm all of their nerves.

Dante was swimming in the flooded waters on his back, almost enjoying this chaotic experience. He started out laughing quietly. He was swimming in a circle.

"Ahahahaha! It came true! I knew it would….. I'm NEVER wrong…." Dante praised himself for his own prediction.

Dolly instantly frowned.

"Dante GET OUT OF THE WATER!" Dolly snapped. Dolly and Dylan soon exchanged glances. Dolly blushed and pawed the ground.

"Let's… get everyone to relax….. Might as well wait out this flood."

Dylan started to rub his wet fur.

"Yeah… Mom and Dad will be home soon… I'm sure they're worried about us….." Dylan assumed. He then looked down the hall.

"I'll find the blankets…."


Everyone was asleep at nightfall. Doug and Delilah had not arrived early, and were out late. Dylan had predicted it was because some many other houses probably got flooded as well. They were probably rescuing others, trusting in Dylan and Dolly to protect the pups.

With everyone asleep, many of the other pups had blankets, or each other to keep warm.

Dolly however, was still wet, and she was in the corner, trying to find comfort, but as she tossed and turned, only the cold comfort instead.

She slowly sat up, feeling really annoyed, and really mad. This had been one of the worst days for her. She didn't get to skateboard, she didn't get to have fun, and she had to take care of all the pups all day. She even almost died!

As she hated the day away, she was scanning the room. As she did this, she didn't see a spare blanket, or even a puppy pile to be in.

However, what she did see…..

…..Was Dylan.

Dylan was near the door, he was lying down in a soft brown blanket, that was rather small, but it almost seemed large enough for two.

Dolly gulped. Dolly's inner feelings hit her again, and it was even more intense then before. Dylan had saved her. He had gone back for her, and saved her life, risking his own.

Dylan was the best, and now Dolly had no idea how she was going to shake this feeling. It felt….. cemented.

Dolly shook her head, and decided to do it. She creeped down, kneeling below so no pups could idly see her sneaking towards Dylan.

As she got closer, her butterflies hit hard, and she started to shake.

Was she really going to sleep next to her brother?

Dolly reached out, and then froze.

Could she really do this?

Dylan soon yawned slowly. He shook his head.

Opening his eyes. He turned. He was going to check on the pups, but however, he was met with the gaze of his sister…. The one that seemed to keep making his heart turn.

"D-Dolly…?" He whispered "W-... W-Whats up?"

Dolly slowly clenched her paw with a sad, but warm smile. She had been caught, so there was no going back now.

"I um…." She rolled her eyes with a slight giggle as she sat. "I….. you see…" She rolled her paws.

"...I have no blanket and it's really…. cold… and… well I….. was wondering….. if…. we… could…" Dolly slowly turned to Dylan, and she almost froze, but she managed to breath out the word. "... share..?"

Dylan blinked a few times. He lifted his head slowly, as his blush started to grow as he did so. He didn't say anything at first.

All he could do was feel his heart slowly accelerate.

"... S-... Share?" He finally repeated shyly.

Dolly felt a blush as her own heart was thumping hard, however the embarrassment was actually ticking her off.

She frowned.

"Why are you making this awkward?" She mocked as she inched closer.

Dylan inched backwards a few steps. " I- I- I- I'm not trying to-"

Dolly slowly grabbed the side of the blanket.

"Scoot, scoot, scoot!" Dolly demanded, and Dylan felt the need to scoot fast to make Dolly not freak out, as she was already annoyed. Soon, they both tried to settle in the blanket, but it was rather small.

They had to touch to get covered in it.

Soon, Dolly felt a blush as she actually managed to get in the same blanket as Dylan.

Dylan seemed to shift a few times as they both tried to snuggle into the blanket, but as they were doing so, they were really snuggling with…. Each other.

As Dylan felt his body start to become a bit warmer next to Dolly, his heart started to skip much, much faster.

Dolly's heart was no better, as her guilt and longing had become a crushing crush of all crushes.

She liked Dylan. She knew that now.

Her own brother.

Dolly blinked and closed her eyes in a big exhale.

"Thanks…by the way…" Dolly suddenly thanked.

Dylan seemed to look away at first, but then he tried to turn to Dolly slightly.

"Are….. Are you warmer?" Dylan asked, feeling his voice become a bit shaky.

Dolly ignored him and turned to him as well.

"You know…. for saving my life…" Dolly explained further.

Dylan slowly raised an eyebrow. He felt his smile grow slightly.

"What did you think I was gonna do? Leave you to drown….. What kind of brother would I be….?" Dylan told her, feeling slightly confident in doing so.

Dolly blushed.

"...Dylan….You're more than that to me…" Dolly admitted in her own bliss. However her eyes widened right after she said that.

Dylan felt his fur start to prick up a little. His heart started to weave a bit. He slowly looked at her.

"W-... What?"

Dolly turned to face the roof.

"N-Nothing." Dolly closed her eyes for feeling so stuipd. "N-Nothing at all."

Dylan however, kept staring at her. He just couldn't get those words out of his head now. He wasn't sure of his feelings, but now he began to wonder about Dolly's. What did she mean…?

"A-... Are you….. Sure?" Dylan whispered.

Dolly frowned hard, even with her eyes closed, and then she did something she would normally do in this situation.

She punched his nose.

"Go to sleep!" Dolly demanded.

"Owech!" Dylan whined as he rubbed his nose. "Okay! Okay….."

As Dolly and Dylan turned away from each other, both from embarrassment.

They both could not get their minds off the other.
