Chapter 20: Aftermath: Warrior Cat World
Duskspirit watched as Harestar jumped onto the branch to report the new rules of the warrior code, "The new code rules are: medicine cats will be able to have kits if they have an apprentice who can take care of the clan while they're nursing kits, loyalty to the clan is still key, but if you fall in love with a warrior from another clan you can either separate or join the others clan, warriors now can stand up against their leader and suggest doing things another way, which is to say a clan leaders words are no longer law, messengers will be trained and will be allowed to cross into other clan territories to spread news or need of help in clans, apprentices, if they choose can go to stay in one clan, if they chose not to they will spend a time in their apprenticeship learning about the other clans to strengthen our bond with each other, medicine cats if they fall in love with a warrior from another clan must either leave to that clan or stay and hope their love comes to their clan, that is all the changes that will made to the warrior code,"
Duskspirit padded up to Moleclaw, "Looks like we did a good job in taking down the traitors," Moleclaw purred, " Yes we did. I hope it brings the Clans a new era of peace," Duskspirit nodded in agreement. The Clans would be more bonded this way than before. He nuzzled into her fur, making Moleclaw purr. Beaverclaw padded up to them, "Well done. I wish Sparrowpaw could see this. He left before the battle finished," "What do you mean he left?!" "He thought I would hurt him after I…." Beverclaw trailed off. Duskspirit glanced at Moleclaw, they are thinking the same thing, 'What did Beverclaw do to make Sparrowpaw leave the island?" Thurshheart mewed, "You fought well Beaverclaw for a newly made warrior," Beverclaw gaped, "Of course I fought well! I was fighting for what I believe in!" Thurshheart purred, "Were not all of us fighting for what we believe in," Beaverclaw fluffed up her fur and looked away from the thrush coloured tom. Duskspirit let mews of laughter with Moleclaw. "It is not funny!" yowled Thurshheart. Moleclaw mewed, "Sure, Thrushheart," He held back a mrrow of laughter, trying not to anger the two cats any further. "Anyway," Beverclaw mewed, changing the subject, "Did you find out anything about Bramblestar's killer?"
Moleclaw and Thrushheart glanced at each other in confusion, "Nope not a clue. I found something weird at the muder scene when Blizzardsnow showed me. But nothing since and when I went back his body was gone from the ditch and the vines looked cut as if some cat moved the body," Beverclaw sighed, "Well, I suppose only Starclan can give the answer then," "Duskspirit what did you mean by Bramblestar's killer?" Thurshheart looked at him with curiosity, sadness and shock. "Well, Blizzardsnow, a few moons ago was in the stream near the Windclan border. When I told him my name he told me to come over, so I did. He mewed that he found Bramblestar's body earlier. He wanted me to find out the killer. I had to go and left. The thing that I noticed that was odd was a rock that had moved a little to hide the blood on it. Like a cat deliberately put it there. I won't tell you the details, because it was a ghastly sight," Thrushheart nodded, he turned and left the group, his body sagging as the news hit him that Bramblestar was murdered. Moleclaw turned to face him, "Duskspirit, why didn't you tell me? I could have helped you,"
"I didn't know who to trust. If I told the news to you I was worried it would spread around camp like wildfire," Moleclaw pressed her body into his, "You can trust me," Duskspirit nodded. All the clan leaders yowled it was time to go. Duskspirit walked to the tree bridge and looked back. I hope that this will never happen again.
