Seeing how uncomfortable Samantha looked leaning against the wall of the pool, Dwayne felt bad for how he teased her. He did like the feeling of flirting with her but he didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable. Moving over to her side, he stood next to her, looking at the rough flooring of the walkway around the pool.

"I, uh..." He rubbed his neck as Samantha turned her head to look at him. "I want to apologize if I made you feel uncomfortable. I shouldn't have acted the way I did." Samantha chuckled softly and looked at her hands. "You don't have to apologize, I guess just you returning the flirting I was attempting surprised me. I never thought you would actually flirt back."

Dwayne looked over at her in shocked, his brow furrowing. "Why wouldn't I?" A scoff escaped Samantha's lips before she could hold it back. "Why WOULD you? You're a famous wrestler and actor, Dwayne, and me? Well, I'm just a nobody from a hole in the ground in Wyoming. You've been around plenty of beautiful women, how could plain old me compare to that?"

Dwayne frowned and he turned to her, moving to his knees in the water. He grabbed her arm and turned her, so she should look into his eyes. Seeing him on his knees before her, Samantha flushed, staring at him with wide eyes. "It's true that I've been around many beautiful women in Hollywood." Her eyes closed and she moved to turn away but he stopped her by grabbing her other arm as well. "Truthfully, Samantha, they don't compare to you at all. They all have professional makeup artists and hair stylists and photo-shop to make them as beautiful as they are, but you? You came out to this area with no makeup and curled hair around your face and a sexy as hell swimsuit. You caught my eye without all the fake Hollywood stuff. You have REAL beauty, inner beauty, and that makes you more interesting than all of them."

Tears filled her eyes as Dwayne spoke to her and her lower lip began to tremble. He sighed and stood, pulling her to his chest. "Don't cry, please. I just...I probably shouldn't have pulled you into an embrace but I didn't like hearing you say that about yourself." Feeling the heat of his muscled chest so close to her, Samantha let out a shaky breath. "It's...it's alright. I appreciate what you said. My eyes teared up because I'd never had things like that said to me before."

Placing her hands on his sculpted form, she pushed herself away slightly, looking up at him. "Thank you for the kind words, Dwayne." Grinning down at her, Dwayne nodded and stepped backward, his eyes searching hers. "You're very welcome, Samantha."

They were interrupted when the server brought their drinks and Samantha began sipping on hers, closing her eyes at the taste. Dwayne watched her in the sunlight and smiled softly, taking a few sips of his drink as well. He wasn't sure what the rest of the week would hold, but he couldn't wait to find out.
