Have you ever loved somebody so much
It makes you cry
Have you ever needed something so bad
You cannot sleep at night
Have you ever tried to find the words
But they do not come out right
Have you ever, have you ever?
-Why didn't you kill me that day? Didn't you intend to break our bond? Sasuke!
–The real reason is simple. It is not because I couldn't.Iwassickenedby the idea of getting more power by following Itachi's footsteps. I spared your life on a whim, nothing else.
- Inretrospect, Naruto, wasn't your real dream to become Hokage? Wouldn't itmakemoresenseto train ratherthanchase me? Wouldn't you saythat? But this time my instinct is to finish what I started.
Sasuke silently removed his sword from its sheath.
- How can I be Hokage? When I cannot even save a friend. Wouldn't you agree, Sasuke?
Naruto woke up with a start, he was drenched in sweat. His nightmares keep repeating themselves after his last encounter with Sasuke. He was too exhausted to get up from his bed, so the blond boy simply removed his shirt and wiped himself summarily. Then he threw it somewhere in his room, on top of other dirty shirts. The Jinchuriki did not have the energy to do anything anymore; he didn't want to see anyone, much less train. The only time the blond boy would leave his house was to go to the local grocery store on the corner of his street. He kept buying a ridiculous amount of ramen, so he did not have to go out for at least two weeks. No one understood him, he received harsh criticism from many people. Sakura, Kakashi, Ino, and even Lee said that he was wasting his life for absolutely nothing. What did they know? They weren't the ones who lost their first friend, their first connection and the man who had stolen his heart. A cold, bloodthirsty man who was driven by revenge. But Naruto realized during that famous meeting that he had always been in love with Sasuke. Naruto loved Sasuke even before he fully understood what love was.
When Sasuke penetrated his subconscious. He had met the Kyubi, everything had erupted in his mind and in his heart. Kurama had laughed at him afterward, delighted at his naivete, finding it funny that it had taken him so long to grasp. The fox knew all along.
During Naruto's fight with Sasuke, Orochimaru came to Sasuke's aid, telling him not to use a certain attack. The mad scientist had asked Sasuke to leave them and leave with him. When Sasuke accepted this with ease and obeyed, Naruto saw red. Naruto had lost control over Kurama. He had given him access to his power, and he had taken it for himself, hoping to persuade Sasuke once and for all to return to Konoha with him by killing the snake. He had unfortunately lost to the former Sanin of Konoha. When Sakura attempted to stop him, Naruto had sadly wounded her. Yamato's intervention saved him from doing even more damage because if not for his "Hokage shiki jijun jutsu-Kakuan nitten sushu" he would have likely injured more people. Naruto didn't want to go out unless it was absolutely necessary, no matter what anyone said around him. Aside from food and mission, he did not like to go out anymore. There is no getting around it - these so-called friends would have to accept the truth and leave him alone. Taking comfort in one of his blankets, he sighed and tried to fall back asleep.
In the Hokage's office
In the dark of the evening, three people sat quietly in silence. They looked tense and worried. Although they did not look at each other, they seemed to be in the room for the same reason. The pink-haired girl suddenly rose from her chair.
- It's all my fault! Naruto wouldn't have made that stupid promise if I hadn't cried like a baby when Sasuke abandoned us.
Despite this spontaneous statement, no one responded. It was unnecessary. No matter if he made a promise to Sakura or not, Naruto would still have chased Sasuke. Tsunade was tapping rhythmically on the desk with a pencil as she played with it, unsure what she could do to help her little sunshine. In her heart, Naruto was like a little brother to her. What was the situation on between Uzumaki and Uchiha that caused Uzumaki to let himself go? Is it because Naruto was unable to accept the abandonment of his only friend?
In order to gain more power from an evil man, Sasuke left them. In order to gain more strength to execute his brother, who was responsible for killing his family, he abandoned everything to seek revenge and gather strength. Tsunade sighed heavily as she ran her tired hand over her forehead, unsure how to help Naruto. Only one man could be seen in the room; his only visible eye was closed, his hands resting on his thighs. The man appeared to be in meditation, and he was softly singing a melody. Two young men had been taught by the man and had watched them grow. The always smiling Naruto tries to get Uchiha to come out of his protective shell. In channeling Naruto's ardor, Sasuke helped the naive boy with his studies without him realizing it. He knew that Naruto had no money, so he fed him. As different as the boys were, they formed a bond that no one, and particularly not them, understood.
Despite everything, their bonds had grown stronger as the years passed. In his quest to become more powerful, Sasuke abruptly deserted Konoha to follow Orochimaru. The Uchiha had willingly tried to break this bond, but he did not know Naruto very well. But it was possible that Sasuke had known Naruto too well, in which case he did not really wish to destroy what united him to Naruto. Naruto offered him an opportunity to keep some of his humanity, of which he had not really been willing to give up. Kakashi was convinced of it. However, that brought him back to his current situation, what exactly could they do for Naruto? Since their last encounter with Sasuke, the Uzumaki has withdrawn into himself like an oyster. In both physical and moral terms, Sasuke had changed a lot. Any sane person would have a negative reaction to being around a man like Orochimaru on a daily basis.
Despite his youth, Sasuke was still an exceptionally bright individual, determined to get revenge. The Konoha ninja was easily possessed by Orochimaru; he could teach him all kinds of Jutsu more dangerous than the others. According to Uchiha's logic, the obvious choice was to turn to an experienced ninja like Orochimaru, but it was not obvious to the people around him who loved him. After observing the two women in front of him carefully, Kakashi slowly got up from his chair.
- I'm going to see Naruto.
From their skeptical faces, he knew they didn't believe there would be a positive outcome. Seeing as it wasn't the first time that one of them went to see Naruto. But the gray ninja wasn't going to give up so easily. He loved all three of these brilliant students in his own way, each in his own way. In order to help Naruto, get over his depression, he had to try everything. He would need to try something else if his normal methods didn't work.
If the two women present knew his current plan, they would probably have his head. Kakashi would rather live with that risk than see Naruto die in front of their eyes without doing anything drastic. A cloud of smoke engulfed him as he politely greeted the women without adding anything.
- What do you think is going through his mind, Tsunade senpai?
As she stared at Hokage and her teacher, the pink-haired girl calmly asked. Although the kunoichi highly respected Kakashi, he could be unpredictable at times.
- I don't know. Nevertheless, knowing him, he is working on a plan that he doesn't want to share. The reason why he does this is that he knows I would have refused to do what he is about to do.
Both of them got up and went to the exit door at the same time. After greeting each other, they left. While Tsunade went to the terrace, Sakura went to the hospital for her nighttime schedule.
Kakashi ran up to the apartment building where Naruto lived. He lived on the top floor, so the copy ninja decided to sneak outside and enter through a window. Once inside, he remembered Sakura had come with him a few days earlier. She had cleaned up and picked up the empty container of ramen while she was here. There was an empty ramen container laying on every surface, empty glasses and cups were also lying around. Kakashi shook his head and entered the room.
The apartment was quiet and dark. Kakashi moved with ease. A small hallway was to his left, followed by a small living room, and five steps farther, Naruto's room was on his right. Despite the darkness, he stood at the threshold. Since Naruto hadn't drawn the curtains, the village lights emitted a soft yellow glow and Kakashi could see easily inside. There was a stench of sweat in the room, and he wrinkled his nose. The room was filled with dirty clothes, sticky sheets, and sticky blankets. Kakashi shook his head in disappointment. The Jinchuriki was no avid housekeeper by any means. In the past, he made a minimal effort, but now it was clear that he had stopped caring. After marching resolutely to the bed, the copy ninja suddenly removed all the covers of the blond boy's bed without a second thought. As Naruto's eyes opened, they changed from blue to glowing red before he recognized his sensei and went back to blue.
- KAKASHI-SENSEI! Are you out of your mind?
Naruto's image almost caused the older ninja to burst into laughter. The blond man was disheveled, had pillow stains on his face, his shirt was crumpled, and he was missing a stocking. As he entered the room, the surprise guest tried to avoid the clothes on the floor as much as possible. When he reached the bed, he pushed his former student's leg and sat down.
- Naruto, what are you doing?
He almost closed his eyes while pinching his lips as he looked at him.
-Well, I was sleeping peacefully before you came to my house in the middle of the night.
Despite his best efforts, Naruto failed to chase his former sensei out of his bed. He was not more successful at getting back into his blankets when he tried again.
-The interruption of your sleep is not what I am referring to. Rather, I am referring to your general life. Do you plan to die here?
Kakashi's voice had lost all its usual friendliness; it was cold and harsh. His one eye stared at him without any kindness; it gave off what it should have given off to his opponents. If he hadn't known the man so well, Naruto would have been terrified.
-What is the matter with you, Kakashi? You are no longer my sensei nor my father, so I can do anything I want with my life.
Suddenly, the blond man jumped out of bed, pushing his sensei unceremoniously. While Kakashi did not fall, he had to get out of bed. Crossing his arms, he faces the young man.
-I have a lot of affection for you, Naruto. I can't just watch you waste your life away!
On the last word, he attacked directly at Naruto, holding on to Ninjutsu without stopping. Naruto's incomparable agility and speed had not diminished at all as he answered blow for blow. However, he could not match Kakashi's speed. This wasn't a friendly fight or a practice fight; this was a real fight. No, neither of them was holding back. Kakashi wanted to make Naruto wait, and Naruto wanted to be left alone. Naruto finally had enough.
- Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!
Continuing his attack, he called.
- Rasengan!
Kakashi barely had time to jump out of the room. Naruto's Rasengan destroyed the wall separating his room from the hallway. Once the dust and debris settled. Naruto was nowhere to be seen in the apartment, as the copy ninja quickly scanned. The ninja sighed loudly. But where could he have fled? Kakashi was unable to find him using his chakra. Naruto had completely hidden his chakra. Unless he found the Jinchuriki quickly, Tsunade was about to give him a tough time. If anything happened to the blond boy, Jiraya would kill him. The idea of shocking him out of his stupor didn't work.
- Kuchiyose Doton Tsuiga no Jutsu.
His faithful Pakkun stood by his side, staring at him with an angry expression on his face.
I'm sorry, what?
- Do you realize it is night?
As he raked a hand through his hair, Kakashi chuckled under his breath.
I apologize, Pakkun. Unfortunately, I lost Naruto.
With round eyes full of intelligence and judgment, the dog ninja looked at him.
- How could you lose that boy? My sense of smell tells me we are at his house!
-I need you to track him down as soon as possible, Pakkun.
The dog glared at him again, then got up and trotted out.
-You're worried about the blonde woman and the pervert's reaction, aren't you?
After that, the dog left the room.
Kakashi looked around one more time. There seemed to be nothing missing, but it was also messy. As he silently walked to the exit, the copy ninja sighed once more. "Where on earth could he have gone?" he thought to himself. The only thing he can do is speak to Jiraya and ask where Naruto could have gone. In the morning, Naruto might return home, so he would wait a while. In the hope that everything would be fine by morning, Kakashi went home and try to get some sleep.
