Hello!

So, I apologise a lot for my absence. There's not really much I can say expect for the fact that I just lost muse. I wasn't particularly happy with my work, and it kinda just went downhill from there.

However, here is the next chapter. I'm not sure how often updates will be, but I'll try to get chapters out consistently. One thing I want to say is thank you all so much for the lovely reviews and messages, you're all far too kind.

Happy New Year!

Dot

Originally Dot believed the Major had been visiting her every other week after her and Six's incarceration. She was ashamed -a feeling that had slowly grown familiar- to admit that it took her some time to notice the disjointedness between their conversations. As he would make references to subjects of things she'd said, but she could not recall any of it. He didn't seem to mind her inability to recall these conversations, but if he'd truly known what it meant to be an AI then he would. These 'blank-spots' scared her and that in itself was an uncomfortable feeling. Although, pinning down the cause did not take long as it soon came to gloat.

"You see what I can do? You may be whole...unfragm-ented..but I am y-ou."

"Why do you do this?" Her voice had quivered as she asked as she was still learning to handle her emotions. Her fear had also been almost suffocating, not only because of the unbridled power it emanates, but because she held so much classified data and Six...she had to tell her, she couldn't leave her if this AI decided to do something.

There was a long pause and she felt something cold encroach on her space in the armour. It reached out after a moment and uncertain of it she retreated, hastily throwing up a wall as she did. She knew it wouldn't keep it out long as her overwhelmed state had cracks appearing all the way through. However, her fear was soon joined by confusion as its muffled voice spoke from beyond it.

"To be complete."

Noble Six, Three Weeks Later

Ever since the incident with Knockout she'd been pulled out of all exercises and kept under almost constant watch. The latter hardly bothered her as she'd been around enough ONI bases to know that she was always being watched. However, the former –while expected- was not something that sat well with her. Having little to do except run around the base and train in the weight room became tedious quickly. She talked little during this time as word eventually spread about the incident and earned her an unfavourable standing with the soldiers. Captain Hughes still spoke to her and was still as chirpy as ever as well as supportive, much to Six's disapproval.

Due to the constant surveillance she ended up with little time to help Dot in discovering what the other intelligence was doing. Until recently she'd been unable to even touch her armour as it had been locked away after the they'd taken it away. She had limited time in the armour, which meant that if Aegis did appear, Six didn't find out until late in the evening. Unfortunately, during the times Aegis appeared Dot would at best able to remember pieces of the conversation they'd had and at worst would remember nothing. The little they managed to piece together about the other AI was that it belonged to something called the 'Builders' and its previous owner had met their demise by the Flood. When Six discovered that little titbit she grew worried about Reach, or what was left of it. What if this Flood was waiting beneath the surface and when they returned it would strike?

After that she grew more determined to get home quickly, but Guardian's steady progress had begun getting slower as he ran out of materials and technology that he could use. Slowly the thought that she'd never return crept into her mind, making her much more on edge then she usually was. She kept it under control as much as she could and avoided talking to those on base as they mostly wanted to know about her home. Of course, this meant relationships with those on base were strained at best, but that mattered little to Six; she was used to being a lone wolf. The Major also appeared less and less pleased with her in general as he always had a frown on his face when they spoke. His attempts to get through to her barely worked and that was mostly because she didn't want them too. She saw little point in getting to know those on base as she would be leaving. In the past she'd never got to actually know marines because that wasn't her. Because, there would always be that time to move on. Because, she was a Spartan, one that had been used to not having a fireteam. Until Noble. Until Jorge.

Jorge…Jorge had been the friendly one.

Jorge had been different.

Him and the rest of Noble still haunted her dreams. They dragged her through their deaths and initially she would wake up covered in a layer of sweat, but as it went on, she got used to it. Now, whenever she saw them in her dreams, she wouldn't feel anything, no regret, nothing. She grew distant, anything she felt towards her temporary team faded away until it was just her; as it had always been. Dot commented on the lack of reaction and frequently checked to see if Six was feeling fine, but Six would always brush her off.

The hinge-head that had accompanied her was rarely seem by her as well as the other aliens. She would occasionally have a passing conversation with Optimus at his insistence, but she actively tried to avoid them. Everyone noticed her avoidance and despite that they kept pushing at her in an attempt to 'bring her out of her shell'. Six didn't appreciate this and her resistance grew and grew over the three weeks after the incident only to come to a climax when new arrivals came to the base.

It was the second day she'd been gifted an hour of time to herself and had decided to spend it on the far side of base in her armour. The area was relatively empty as she did a few exercises out on the sand. She and Dot kept the exercises simple as the main reason they were so far from base was so they could deal with Aegis.

"Okay, one more time," Six huffed as she did yet another push-up, her arms aching as she had been doing it for a fair few minutes.

She felt a nod at the back of her mind as Dot's presence stretched itself all through the armour. Aegis' name was whispered again and again as her AI attempted to grab its attention. Six pushed herself up off the floor and began sprinting up and down a small stretch of ground. As the minutes ticked by and there was no response Six's actions grew faster and more forceful.

This was the tenth time they'd attempted to draw out the AI and Six was running short on given time; she needed this sorted now. Pumping her fury into her exercises Six's breathing came sharper and sharper, her temper was rising as it so easily did these days. Sand flew everywhere as she sped herself up, barely holding control over her movements as she whisked from one side to another. She shot to the end again, shifting her weight and power through her legs as she launched herself in the opposite direction-

"Could you cease with the noise?"

Six came to a halt in an instant as the strange voice grumbled through her mind. She opened her mouth to speak when it spoke again.

"Your dedication is admirable, Six, but unwarranted. I do not-"

"Quiet," Six snarled through her heavy breathing, not surprised that he called her Six. "You've been running around my armour far too long, this is the end of the line. I need answers!"

All Six could hear was her own breathing as she felt Aegis roll her words around her mind. She could feel his hesitancy as well as something else, only it was blocked from her.

After a moment the feeling of exasperation hit her, followed by Aegis' cold words, "This isn't your armour, Human."

Six grit her teeth at his words, but felt that he was going to continue so she remained quiet.

"However, you've been as accommodating as possible, even if you have pulled parts of me away. So, for my behaviour the other day you only have yourself to blame."

"Guardian-" She was cut off in an instant with a growl.

"Traitor! When I get my hands on him I'm going to rip him to pieces, but first," Six could feel cold eyes turn to her. "I think I'll pull you apart."

She felt something reach at her and refusing to feel scared she snapped back, "Don't even think about it. If you do anything to him, I will bring you down."

A snort, "And how do you plan to do that?"

A thought came to her and Six grinned manically, "Dot has pieces of you, she must know how."

Silence.

While Six's words were a bluff there must've been something to them if Aegis wasn't instantly answering her. A flicker of fear that wasn't hers shot through her mind and at that point she knew she had him. Knowing that Dot could shut him down was only a bonus to the fact she'd managed to corner Aegis.

"Why do you hate Guardian?" She asked, her curiosity piqued as well as her desire to know more about the AI who was helping her return home.

A thread of anger appeared at her words, only to stop as if something had cut it off half way. Confusion replaced it before Aegis spoke, "I…. I don't know. He's a traitor! But, something's missing…I don't know. It's blank, I have the feeling but not the memory…." Intense discomfort tugged at Six, threatening to pull her in.

"Stop," she snapped and the feeling receded. The fact that Aegis couldn't remember had Six unerved with curiosity, she had to know what Guardian had done. If he was untrustworthy, and set at betraying her and Dot as he had apparently done to Aegis then she needed to know. Her chance to get home was riding on him and his cooperation. There could be no doubt; None. Her thoughts drifted to Dot, wondering if her AI could possibly help as this was beyond Six. "We might help you, but only if you answer my question."

Six could feel the wild fury from the AI. The force of it almost had her reeling, but she knew she had him and it was only confirmed by a small feeling of defeat.

"I will answer what I can," the sigh echoed through her mind before Aegis spoke again with steel in his voice. "I have your word that you will aid me? I'm not in the mood for lies."

"You have our word," she grinned as she spoke, not completely committed to helping Aegis as she knew it would be best to see how useful he could be, and how true his words were. She opened her mouth to ask a question, glad that all the posturing way finally out to the way.

However, she stopped herself when the rev of an engine reached her through the armour. Frowning she turned away from the sea and soon discovered the cause of the noise. A hundred of so meters away was a sleek silver car energetically streaking around the area. She snorted as the sports car continued to show off and she turned back around, deciding to ignore it.

"So, there are more of those things," Aegis commented with disdain.

"There's always more," Six agreed, sharing Aegis' sentiment. She then proceeded to switch back to her original intention, dismissing the alien disguised as a flashy car.

"Moving on, who are you truly?"

"Sublime Aegis, I was the personal ancilla to the Forerunner Veiled-Dream-of-Infinite-Starlight. He was a Builder un...Til," Aegis grew distorted at the end, as if struggling to recall something. Six frowned, suspicious as to why there was so much mystery surrounding the Forerunner's likely demise. She didn't doubt that Guardian had something to do with it and it made her wonder why.

"Something happened to him?" Six prompted.

There was a long pause that was only disturbed by laughing, cheering and the squealing of tires in the distance. The pause had Six moving her body into another exercise, aware that the conversation would have frequent pauses like this.

Eventually Aegis spoke, static reds and blues spiking violently despite his soft speech. "I think... it's like stands have been cut, pieces of my code are missing and not just what you stole. He's gone... dead, taken, absorbed...His fate is a mystery to me, all I remember were our orders and then….darkness and being alone – I'll always be with you..."

Six froze at the different voice, its deep rolling baritone soothing even if it made her slightly nervous as to what this now meant. It held an age of wisdom to it, a deep caring that she could only remember hearing once in her life. Mentally shaking her head, she reminded herself that she didn't want another unstable AI running around her head. Aegis was enough and she was only keeping him as he had the potential to be useful. The static that accompanied Aegis' speech had died down and the AI showed no sign of speaking again, so with a deeper frown Six opened her mouth to speak.

She didn't get far before Aegis piped up, the static resuming with his energetic words, "that was him! He's still here, somewhere, I-"

"Aegis, stay on point," Six interrupted harshly, not wanting to hear the AI's nonsensical mutterings. And, certainly not needing more of that. There were enough voices swirling at the back of her mind.

She felt something shoot through her, as if he'd just taken a sharp breath. Then, with eerie calmness Aegis spoke again, and there was no distortion to be seen.

"My apologies, it has been some time since I spoke to anyone but me. Although, I'm not sure how long. The year 'two-thousand-and-eight' has no meaning to me," he stopped as if waiting for something so Six gave him a nod in-between repeating her exercise.

"As I've mentioned, I belonged to a Builder from the beginning of his career. We saw a lot and then after many, many years we were pulled into Builder Security. It wasn't truly what he-we- wanted, but it became a place we thrived," Six could feel a warm smile as Aegis talked. Some of the terms he used went over her head and she made sure to remember to ask him about them later. "But everything comes to an end. We entered into a war with the Humans and then, when it was too late to realise our mistake, we started losing to the Flood."

Six stopped short when her HUD was overtaken by darkness and a video began to play. At first there was too much static for her to make out anything, but it soon cleared up and the scene before her became clear.

/Video/

A detailed blue hologram was projected into a dark spacious room. Milling around it were many wearing armour similar to that of what she wore now. Everyone there was silent as they watched the projection with building anticipation.

"The chances of this assault being successful are one in inconsequential, why are we even attempting this?" It was Aegis' voice that spoke, but instead of coming through her head it came through the video.

There was a solemn sign in response, "Because there is nothing we can do but buy time. Old friend, you know as well as me that the only option is the Arrays, no matter how much we don't want to."

There was no answer after the deep voice Six had head through Aegis spoke and all she could do was watch the projection. Masses of ships, huge in size fired at ones painstakingly similar. The ones that Six believed to be the enemy had chucks of bulbous brown flesh growing out of them, making them appear all the more monstrous. Blasts of blinding light were fired between the ships as smaller crafts weaved in and around the battlefield. Some would explode in a brilliant show of whites, blues, oranges and brown flesh if they had the growths.

"Some of the Warrior-Servants would disagree with you," Aegis spoke as a large brown corrupted ship was blown to pieces.

There was a snort and then harsh words that quickly became sorrowful, "That's because they follow a madman, their loyalty was so great they…."

"I know." The soft comforting words were spoken as a shattered piece of corrupted ship appear to reach out to one of the clean ones. It crawled all over the ship, eliciting fire from within as the crew likely fought back. That small battle on that one ship appeared to go one for an age before the shots from within stopped and the brown corruption settled in. More ships appeared to receive the same fate and the more they lost, the stronger their enemy became. The hopeless battle seemed to be just that, hopeless.

"I've seen enough; we need to prepare for the next one. The Master Builder is counting on us, as shamed as he is." The owner of the voice then turned away from the projection and made their way to an illuminated blue door, which opened on their approach.

Someone else in the room appeared to notice as a female voice called out with worry, "Veiled?"

There was a shake as if 'Veiled' was shaking their head, "I'll begin the preparations. Remain here Wanderer, Ae-."

/End/

The video cut off, shutting down instantly and blinding Six with the setting sun. Confusion worked its way through her as she wondered why Aegis had suddenly cut the video off. The reason soon became apparent when there was a very loud engine rev that she knew was much closer then she liked.

"It appears we have company, one of those…...creatures must want your attention," Aegis sneered, his attitude causing Six to wonder if he hated them just like Guardian. She decided to ask the question later as ignoring the alien near her would likely not end well, especially if it was new. Just as that thought left her the silver car pulled into her vision with an unneeded rev. It whistled in appreciation as it skidded to a stop and Six frowned at the unexpected action. She then arched a brow as it cursed and growled about the sand getting everywhere and the fact that she was so far away from the others.

The car's masculine voice spoke again, appreciation lacing his tone, "Damn, that metal work-"

Six cut him off, not wanting to be confused for his kind, "I'm Human."

"I know," he snapped, obviously not liking the fact she cut him off. "It's good for a Human-"

"Was there something you wanted?" she cut him off again, wanting to get back to Aegis' talk.

There was an irritated hiss from the silver car, "what crawled up your tailpipe?"

She fixed him with a stare that he couldn't see before dismissing him as she turned to go, "I have things to attend to-"

"Like what? You've been grounded," he cut her off with a snort and then proceeded to taunt her, but she didn't stop turning; there was little point indulging the alien.

"None of your concern," was her response as she continued to stride away and back to main complex. Her time was to be up soon and if she could find no peace outside then she'd remain in her room until her handler for the day came to get her. She didn't know who it was today as it changed so often due to people leaving on missions. The most common person she'd had was the medic from her first day, as the Major probably assumed a familiar face every now and then would be good; though it mattered little to her. Captain Hughes occasionally popped in, but Six hadn't seen her in about ten days as the woman's group had left with others on a mission. The Major hadn't been around for the past two days or so either as he'd mentioned something about a 'new arrival', which was probably who she'd just met.

As she drew close enough to the hangar to make out the faces of those enjoying their downtime, the silver car squealed into her path.

"You're a rude squishy, y'know?" He chastised her mockingly, "I didn't get to introduce myself. The name's Sideswipe, best frontliner from here to, well…anywhere."

Six grunted in response and began to step around him.

"Isn't this where-"

His voice was cut off, by what she assumed was Aegis blocking out the noise.

"It plays on my nerves, I could attempt to disable it…but in my current state I'm unsure of the results," Aegis growled, static beating at Six's HUD.

"You should worry about yourself."

Hesitation filtered through from Aegis and the static calmed a small bit before he murmured quietly, "yes, you're right…I…I'll leave you with your Ancilla."

His presence receded after his words and was then replaced by the less chaotic Dot. Exhaling, tension that she had noticed eased from her, clearly talking with Aegis had not been a pleasant experience.

"Noble Six, I would suggest playing along with this alien, his behaviour indicates that he will not deist until you give him something." Dot's words were crisp and to the point as it appeared the AI was clearly aware of all that had gone on.

Gritting her teeth, Six gave in, "let's get this done."

Then, with her speakers back on she flicked her eyes in the alien's direction, "Spartan Bee-three-one-two, or Six."

What she believed was a smug grin pulled onto his face and her lips twitched in irritation. She noticed a few passing soldiers stop and observe warily, their gazes flicking uncertainly between her and the alien.

"That wasn't difficult, was it now squishy?" Sideswipe commented, still grinning. "I've heard a lot about you…fancy sparring sometime? We could teach each other some new moves."

Six blinked at the unexpected turn in the conversation. Despite not enjoying the company of aliens, Six wanted to accept the offer as it would be beneficial to learn to fight against one. Although, she then remembered that many restrictions had been placed on her.

"You'll have to ask the Major, I'm-"

He cut her off with a wave of his hand and self-assured voice, "don't sweat it, I'll bring him and Optimus around. Catch you later, squishy."

Surprised and slightly confused, Six hesitated before she continued on her original path. The tension from the soldiers appeared to have dropped when it seemed there would be no incident between her and then alien. She nearly sighed at that, but reframed from doing so because she knew it was her fault. Since the incident she'd regretted it more than she thought she would. It didn't mean she liked the aliens, but with time to stew in her thoughts she quickly realised that her reaction was unacceptable, especially here.

She was just about to exit the hangar when she heard the medic's voice, "Noble Six?"

Stopping, Six turned in the direction of the voice. Her eyes quickly honed in onto the running form of Catherine and her bouncing dark hair. As she neared Six she slowed down and looked around cautiously.

"I heard you had an encounter with Sideswipe and from what the other 'Bots say…he can be rather trying," she explained as her eyes focused back on Six.

"It was no problem, he asked for me to spar with him," Six shrugged.

Catherine's mouth formed and 'o' shape in surprise before the woman quickly recovered and smiled, "That'll be good, hopefully the Major will approve it, then you won't be going out of your mind with boredom so much."

When Six remained silent, Catherine continued, "guess it's time to go turn in your gear, oh and Ratchet wants to see you."

"Why?" Six quizzed, raising a brow.

The woman merely shrugged, looking at a loss, "He didn't say. It's probably just a final check-up, though…why we're not doing it, I don't know."

Six frowned at that, but gestured for Catherine to lead on and with a quick glance she did. The pair walked down the now familiar corridors to the room that had been allocated for Six's armour. As part of the terms of Six's punishment the armour was locked in a room that could only be accessed by certain people, which excluded the aliens. Had Six had any choice she would've refused, but she knew that what she did back then required a reprimand.

Roh'Rithin, NEST Base

Roh wasn't completely sure how long he'd been on the Human's home planet and he wasn't sure he wanted to know. Whatever the state was back home played at him and his hopelessness only made it worse. The Major had tried to keep him busy as he'd recently been put on probation to work with NEST. Unfortunately, despite how honoured Roh was to work with such a mixture of beings, he couldn't help feel like it was lacking. There was no Sangheilious, no war, no…Covenant. He was likely the only one of his kind in this universe and while he knew no about of brooding would change that, it only served to infuriate him more.

Since his first exercise with the team he was assigned to, they had grown slightly closer. It wasn't much, but he could see that they were becoming more tolerant towards him. He found it amicable and that he too was beginning to feel less dislike towards the Humans. Although, the Demon was another matter.

"For a warrior race, you brood much more than I expected," the dry comment came from the Construct as Roh stood on one of the surfaces in his medbay. He was only there for a check-up as the medical Construct had insisted due to his lack of knowledge on Sangheili.

Roh smirked in reply, "you should be used to it by now, Construct."

There was a snort before, "how have you been? It's been a while since we've...chatted."

"Well, thank you. The accommodation given to me by the Major are more than I expected and the Humans I've been working with are-"

The Construct held up a hand, interrupting Roh with a stern, "that is not what I mean and you know it."

"You needn't concern yourself, Construct," Roh snorted roughly, not liking the idea of being coaxed to talk about his feelings like some youngling.

"Oh? Should I not?" The Construct laughs dryly. "You are of concern to me, being the only known one of your species must be taking its toll and I don't believe that's something the Humans here can aptly understand."

He sighs in resignation, "perhaps you're right, Construct. But, what would you have me do? My only way of returning lies with the Demon and the Oracle, and while she cannot stand me the Oracle blindly follows her."

There's a moment of silence as Roh stares up at the medic who hums deeply. Roh scrutinises the Construct as he no doubt thinks of an appropriate response, but Roh knows that one doesn't exist. The Demon would never accept him and so long as she didn't the Oracle would follow.

"You will need time," he finally says. "While you may believe that she'll never tolerate you, I think you're wrong. Like it or not, you're the only other organic from her universe and that's where you both have a connection. Eventually, I believe that both of you will put what has happened behind you and move past it."

"How can you be so sure?"

The Construct snorts, "I'm talking to you despite what I know about your past."

"Yes and I'm grateful, but the Demon…she was born into it from what I understand and considering what has been happening recently…" Roh shakes his head as he exhales heavily. "It is no wonder she is blinded by hate."

"Indeed, but Optimus believes she may grow less stubborn the more time she spends here." The Construct then proceeded to add with a serious frown, "Although, I do have my concerns."

Curious, Roh asked, "About what, Construct?"

Directing his glowing blue eyes back to Roh, the Construct answered carefully, "there are things she's withheld and while I understand the necessity of some of it…the subject of her augmentations is not something I like being kept from me. As it could make treating her more difficult, should certain occasions arise."

"I see," Roh wasn't sure if he really did. He knew little of how the Demons were made so strong and if they went to such lengths to keep it a secret, perhaps it was best not knowing. "And how do you plan to discover this secret?"

"A deep scan should reveal all I need to know," the Construct said simply.

As he took in what the Construct was telling him a thought occurred to Roh, "Is the Demon aware of what you're going to do?"

"I doubt it." The Construct hummed, "but she'll likely have her suspicions."

There was a moment of silence as Roh found himself disagreeing with the Construct's plan. It wasn't that he felt sympathy for the Demon, oh no, but these machines were claiming she could trust them and then betraying that trust. Roh shook his head, no matter how much he disliked the Demon, what the Construct planned was inexcusable and he was about to voice this when the Construct spoke again.

"I know what you're thinking."

"And what is that Construct?"

"That we're deceiving her, being malicious, but that is not the case." The Construct then turned sideways to Roh and projected an image of the Demon's form. The image then shifted and was stripped of its armour and reposed in a manner that had it spread-eagle. It then became more details with multi-coloured lines running all throughout the body in varying patterns and loops, but what caught Roh's eye was the areas in red. They were positioned where he knew the Demon had been injured during the moments surrounding her capture.

"Something in her is changing how the biological-cybermatter is interacting with her," The Construct explained. "While it is true that it's never been used in such a large capacity, it should not be connecting to her in such a way. It was not created to replace large areas of skin, it is merely meant to help in repairs and support the cells there. Its current status is unknown as this was taken around her arrival."

Roh didn't know much about science, few Sangheili did, but what he could see looked wrong. The way the unnatural red reached out towards some of the other lines was strange. It appeared to draw close to them and then consume them as it changed them into something else. Roh wasn't sure what this meant for the Demon, but perhaps the Construct was right, finding the reason could reveal what was going on.

"Your words make sense, Construct, and I only hope you're-"

"Sincere?" The Construct snapped as the imaged flickered away, "I was unaware you thought so little of me compared to your past actions, but I joined Optimus to help others, to save lives; AutoBot or otherwise. Noble Six certainly falls under that jurisdiction and I don't want something I did, changing her for the worse!"

"It was not my intention to insult you, Construct, but perhaps you should be granted permission to conduct something so invasive." The words felt pointless as soon as they left his mouth. The Demon would never agree to anything as she appeared to revel in her secrets.

The Construct arched a brow at him before snorting, but whatever he was about to say was cut off as the door to the medbay opened.

Void of armour, the Demon strode in as proud as ever as another female followed her. Roh had seen her around the base and at the medbay a few times, but he could not place her name. He didn't have much time to think on it longer as the Demon sent him a sharp glance out of the corner of her eye. Roh's only response was to sigh and shake his head as he leaned back against the wall to observe.

"Ah, Catherine, thank you for bringing Noble Six here," The Construct greeted as his turned his optics to the Demon. "Are you ready?"

"What is this for?" The Demon asked tersely.

"I need to know how the cybermatter is adapting, it was used in a rather large quantity."

There was silence that stretched on as the Demon's face set into a fierce frown. Roh had no idea what she was thinking, but she was likely running through everything the Construct may really want. It was after a moment that her frown deepened and her lips twisted harshly. At the apparently undesirable realisation she opened her mouth to speak when Catherine spoke for her.

"Ratchet, this could've been done in the other medbay, there's no need for us to draw your attention away from your other work. She'll be fine with us," the woman smiled. "If you're worried about the results, I'll have them streamed to you as we do our examination."

There was a small spark of triumph in the Demon's eyes as Catherine spoke. The Construct on the other hand, did his best to look happy at the idea. It worked enough to fool the Human, but Roh knew the Demon was aware. And just like that the Demon and Catherine left the medbay as quickly as they'd arrived. As the door slammed shut, Roh looked over at the Constructs stunned form.

"Not one word," he ground out quietly causing Roh to chuckle quietly. "It appears that this will be more difficult than I thought, perhaps you were right about asking…."

Roh shook his head, "no."

"No?" The Construct questioned with irritation creeping into his voice.

"She will only listen to orders, asking her is not the way as I believe she knows what you're after. Have the Major speak with her, then maybe you will succeed."

The Construct frowned before nodding, "Perhaps you're right. But she's an infuriatingly stubborn Human that Will may not even be able to get through to."

"Then you will have to employ less obvious tactics, which you may not like."

"I'll see what the Human medbay gets from their scans before I take this further," the Construct responded as he turned back to his workbench. "Isn't it nearing the time you should be leaving?"

Roh nodded before slipping down the ladder that had been acquired due to his more than temporary stay in the medbay. He then started for the door, only turning around as the door opened at his presence.

"I will see you later, Construct. Thank you, for the talk," he said before ducking out the doorway and strolling away. As he did a flashy silver car whizzed past him, forcing him to push himself against the wall in order to avoid collision.

Perhaps my departure was in good timing, he mused as the yells and curses from the Construct soon echoed out the closing doors.
