Kumogakure No Sato

On the ramparts of his town, Killer Bee surveyed the horizon. His brother had told him that a group of ninjas from Konoha was expected to arrive this morning. Having not heard from Naruto in a long time, he wondered what was happening to the blonde. It didn't make sense that he would leave his village. Did the Kyûbi start acting up? Despite their progress? Was the fox looking for a companion? Naruto did not know anyone in his life, at least not one he knew. Having dealt with Gyuuki, hormones can be challenging to control. Naruto might have been scared and ran away so he wouldn't lose control. Bee knew that he was lucky to have had his brother Ai helping him during the first Gyuuki heat. The jinchuriki knew Naruto didn't have any support on that side. In Konoha, anything touching the Bijù was taboo. Sharing information about it would benefit everyone, especially the main person involved. The jinchûriki didn't comprehend Konoha's mentality on this subject. Bee had wanted to ask the Hokage to take Naruto under his wing. Killer Bee wanted to guide Naruto toward improving his relationship with Kurama, just as he had with Gyuuki. It was not an easy task. In order for the host and the bijû force to live together, discussions and compromises were essential. Both of them had managed to establish a healthy and winning relationship together. Naruto and Kurama had never learned how to communicate with one another. The nine-tailed fox was too consumed by hatred and anger for humans to try to understand them. He had never had anyone explain to him what it was like to be a jinchuriki. Naruto had confessed to him, having learned by accident that he was a jinchuriki.

Mizuki, a ninja in their village, convinced Naruto to steal a scroll of forbidden jutsu from him. This is how he discovered Kage bunshin no jutsu. Later, Iruka, the mentor of the blonde boy, came to his rescue. Mizuki told Naruto that he was the demon who destroyed the village years ago. When Naruto confided in him, Killer Bee still remembered the emotion in his voice. His sorrow, his understanding of the way the villagers treated him. It was at that moment that he couldn't help but grab the Uzumaki in his arms. He attempted to take away some of the pain he had carried since he was a child. Octopus' host was still speechless at the boy's joy; that bright smile as if the darkness of hatred held no sway over him. It seemed as if he had no negative feelings toward others. He considered himself lucky to have known Naruto and to be considered one of his friends. He would do everything he could to keep that beautiful smile on his face. He looked up at the horizon hoping to see the members of Konoha approaching, but there was no sign of them.

It was true that it was still early. They had just begun dismantling their camp. Bee was eager to see them. Bee wondered who the Hokage would send for this mission. Probably the young pink-haired woman. He thought maybe the pale skinned ninja would join the other two ninjas. Jinchuriki did not particularly like him. His first impression of him was that he was fake. Everything he did was unhealthy; everything screamed hypocrisy, and his smile gave him goosebumps. The third ninja was unknown to him, Bee had little knowledge of the other ninjas of the leaf village, so he would have to wait until they arrived.

A flock of birds suddenly left the forest. Killer Bee recognized the young kunoichi's pink hair from a distance. He smiled as he stepped onto the edge of the wall and jumped into the void without fear. As Bee landed noiselessly, he walked unhurriedly towards Kumo's main gate. Bee loudly greeted the three Konoha ninjas as they entered the gates before the guards could react.

"Yo we say Yo!"

His wonderful rapping voice welcomed the Leaf Ninjas. As Sakura smiled, he blushed slightly. His gaze then fell on the pale ninja. Bee couldn't recall his name. The last ninja held his hair in a pineapple-shaped tail on top of his head. They walked toward him quickly, the girl first.

"It's nice to see you again, Bee. Do you remember Sai?"

Her emerald eyes shifted to the ninja. With a sincere smile, Sai looked at the jinchuriki. Bee didn't expect this. It was clear that something had happened to the ninja, something had changed him. It was as if he had become more human.

"Shikamaru Nara is also here with us."

The man with the pineapple hairstyle was introduced to him by Sakura, and he greeted him in turn.

"We have heard a lot about you from Naruto. Glad to finally meet you."

"My name, my story, you know it all, you fool."

As Killer Bee sang one of his favorite verses to the three young people, he motioned for them to follow him inside Kumo. The rapper continued his song.

"I rhyme constantly, I talk high, and that's what keeps the receptacle from falling into chaos."

Konoha's ninjas followed him in silence. Sakura shrugged at Shikamaru's question in silence. "Yes, he's like that all the time."

I've fought battle after battle here in my ego."

In the village, they continued their advance. The three shinobis were hungry and tired. However, they didn't want to appear rude to the jinchuriki, so they kept quiet. Bee understood both their mental and physical conditions, however. They went to a restaurant directly across the street. They sat at a table inside once they were inside. On one side, Bee and Shikamaru, on the other, Sakura and Sai.

"The concept of winning is not contradictory."

The statement was made out of nowhere. With a smile, Sakura remembered Naruto's reactions to their host's rhythm and rhyme. She was reminded of the reason for their visit.

"Killer Bee, we're here to talk to you..."

"To move forward, we need to eat. Yo! Yo!

He was interrupted by the rapper at the same time. Several seconds later, a young woman approached them and asked if they knew what they wanted. The waitress walked away, and Sakura looked at Bee. But he interrupted her again.

"Yo! Hey! Yo! You know my abilities... yeah, you didn't dream. It's too late for regrets now against Killer Bee!"

With both hands, Sai hit the table as he stood up from his chair.

."Sakura is trying to ask you a question. Don't interrupt her with your rap, it's rude."

Continuing to look directly into the rapper's glasses, the artist did not sit down. Sakura gently placed her hand on Sai's hand, silently asking him to sit down.

"He is passionate in his fist and in his soul, but I am about to flatten him like a croque-madame."

Sai quickly pulled out one of his scrolls and his brush and began to draw his jutsu. Bee laughed loudly and hit the table with his right fist.

"I don't know what happened, but you seem to be more human now." "I don't know what happened, but I like it."

It was clear that Sai was confused. Then he looked at Sakura, then at Shikamaru. Finally, he put his things away and sat down at the table.

"I didn't mean to be rude, YO! I wanted us to eat first. You all look hungry and exhausted."

The artist blushed and looked down. Shikamaru or worse Sakura would surely reprimand him for acting like a fool.

"I'm sorry, Bee-San. I meant no disrespect."

He had learned over time that an apology could save a lot of trouble in the long run.

"YO! YO! No problem, little man."

The food arrived at the same time. When the three leaf ninjas realized how hungry they were, they threw themselves on their plates. The Kumo Ninja watched them eat and laughed under his breath, enjoying their meal. After they had finished eating and the table had been cleared, they ordered tea and finally began talking.

"The Killer Bee is ready! Yo Bee! Yo the Killer Bee!"

A small smile spread across the jinchuriki's face as he moved his hands in front of him. During the meal, he had been watching the trio. The pineapple ninja said little but observed a lot. His impression was that the young man was always analyzing the situation around him. The artist had changed a lot since the last time they met. Bee noticed it right away just by his smile. Additionally, the ninja talked animatedly to Sakura throughout the meal, his eyes almost never leaving hers. And he apologized when Bee was clearly at fault. The Octopus host loved this revised version of Sai a lot more.

You know, Killer Bee, Naruto's missing."

As usual, Shikamaru had started the discussion without making any detours while sipping his tea slowly. Shikamaru continued with the same calm tone.

"Know that he is not considered a nukenin. He took a short vacation with someone who was supposed to be back in Konoha."

The Jinchûriki looked at him as if he had pushed a second head onto him.

"Hey! Look! The blonde boy took a vacation! Hey! Hey! He's having a good time! Yeah!"

A small smile spread across Sakura's face.

"In fact, he did manage to find Sasuke Uchiha..."

Bee's face was surprised when she left her sentence hanging.

"I guess you're talking about the ninja Naruto kept mentioning to me?"

Three Konoha ninjas nodded their heads in agreement. Tears ran down Bee's cheeks as he laughed and slapped the table. Everyone looked at each other puzzled. What the heck was going on? Did he lose his mind? It took Bee a few minutes to calm down and drink his tea.

"My friend, you all know that he is the host of a Bijù like me, don't you, Yo?"

Still puzzled, they nodded their heads. They didn't understand the connection between the fox, their friend, and his disappearance.

"Hachibi, it's me, Killer Bee. Of rap, I'm the king. There's a demon under my skin. It's battle after battle here in my ego. Naruto Uzumaki seems more talkative. He's got Kyûbi in him. He had proven himself to be a worthy opponent. "Then came a guy with funky eyes. Sasuke Uchiha, I'd rather not be you. That look of hatred in his ebony eyes. The darkness engulfed him. YEAH."

Sai stared at the jinchuriki without understanding. Why does he mention Naruto in his rap? Also, he mentions Sasuke. Did he know something that they didn't? Shikamaru seemed to think deeply. Under his chin, he joined his hands as he leant forward on his chin. He watched them silently, one by one.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean, Bee."

With an eyebrow raised in question, Sakura stared at him. The genie had his eyes shut.

You really don't know anything about jinchûriki and its relationship with Kyûbi, Konoha!?"

"All that we know."

The silence was broken by Shikamaru's voice

"We know that during Naruto's birth, the Kyûbi attacked the village only to be captured and sealed inside Naruto's body."

Shikamaru's words had the two other ninjas nodding in agreement. They did not have much knowledge of the jinchuriki. Many legends were made up by the villagers to scare the children. The blond boy was directly affected. As Sakura realized, not much information was being spread throughout the village's ninja ranks. Aside from the obvious things the ninjas had witnessed at some point.

For a moment, Killer Bee closed his eyes. The subject appeared to be reminiscing about an event more or less pleasant in his life. He opened his eyes again after shaking his head. Bee stared at each of the ninjas around the table before speaking again.

"I was able to establish a bond between Naruto and Kurama. However, it's still quite fragile. If Naruto and the fox work together, they will have a successful relationship in a short time. Without getting into details, you should know that the jinchûriki and their Bijù are supposed to be closely linked. The closer a jinchuriki is to his Bijû, the more powerful he becomes."

The three shinobi of leaf village listened closely to Bee's words. These facts had never before been mentioned anywhere, the jinchuriki continued.

"They work together to strengthen their bond and be there for each other. It is important to me that you understand Naruto's relationship with Sasuke. Naruto connected with Sasuke at a very early age, didn't he?"

Again, all three nodded. As Shikamaru wrote, he didn't look up from his notebook. It was evident he was paying attention to everything being said.

"Any tail demon host shares its character traits. The Bijù within him shares the same attribute. The jinchuriki will have a life partner for the rest of their lives. It doesn't have to be that way. Sometimes people don't meet their better half."

"I see that you are all shocked, but I am positive about my statement. If anyone tries to split these two after they have consummated their union, they will probably have to deal with Kurama. Naruto will no longer have any control over his fox. You cannot separate a jinchuriki from the person he has chosen, his soul mate! That being said, those who wish to attempt to separate them do so at their own peril."

In Sakura's mind, the word consuming resonated strongly. She was overcome by images that made her blush. She lowered her head and let her hair cover her face. Neither of her companions responded. The Council would be in big trouble if they wanted to punish Sasuke. Bummer!

Come on, I'll take you to see my brother, he wanted to speak to you. But for the reason you came, I haven't seen Naruto since we last met Sakura-san."

After paying for their meal, the four shinobi left the bistro. Konoha's ninjas followed Bee to the Raikage's office. During this conversation with the Jinchuriki, the team had received crucial information. Now, Tsunade would have to deal with another serious issue. Sai knew he should send a message to the Hokage once he and his teammates were alone. All their findings must be communicated to her. He was genuinely happy to be a simple shinobi. Who would have thought Sasuke could be Naruto's soul mate? This concept was too abstract for Sai to grasp the significance of the new information.

Otogakure no Sato

In Orochimaru's secret base, the ninjas walked on eggshells since he returned without Kabuto. Ninjas who dared to ask their master where their sidekicks were promptly killed. In that moment, all nukenin fled with their tails between their legs. Since then, they have all avoided the former Sanin like the plague. The snake-man was still working in his office, he had access to Sasuke's movements, and he hadn't yet said his last word. Following the activation of his Mangekyô Sharingan, he was taken by surprise during their last fight. Sadly, this resulted in the death of his faithful assistant. Now he was working tirelessly to find a counter-jutsu to the Mangekyo Sharingan. So far, Orochimaru hadn't had much success, but he wasn't giving up. The brat would have to pay. Orochimaru wondered what Sasuke was doing at Yugakure no Sato. Why would he go there? The jinchuriki had been killed or badly injured from what he had seen before he successfully escaped Sasuke.

It might be a good idea for him to contact an Akatsuki member. It is likely that they would be happy to know where to find the most powerful of the Bijù. He could ask them for a reward in return for the tip. They have plenty of information on forbidden jutsus at their disposal. He rubbed his hands together, a sinister smile appearing on his snake-like face. He had found a solution to his problems. He had found a way to solve two problems at once. Sasuke's body could finally be taken over by the sanin. He wouldn't leave him in Akatsuki's hands if the Jinchuriki were still alive. He would use them as a backdoor to get what he wanted. He came out of his laboratory. He had to find where the brothers Sakon and Ukon were. He'd take them with him when he goes to Akatsuki's hideout. They were relatively powerful, only spoke when he talked to them, and they could be useful. The brothers would be more than capable of fending off Sasuke. And maybe even contain Sasuke so he can use his body.

Orochimaru finally found the brothers outside the den. They had separated and were fighting. It was unusual for the Sanin to see them this way, they were usually one in the same. He approached them.

"Sakon! Ukon!"

They turned around to look at him in one motion. Except for Sakon's necklace, Orochimaru couldn't tell them apart. And he didn't trust them. Especially Ukon, he was far more dangerous and violent than his brother.

"I need you for a mission."

"Ah?"

Taking a step toward the sanin, Ukon looked him directly in the eye. Orochimaru detested being questioned about his superiority. He didn't have time to reprimand the twins.

"We're going to join the Akatsuki at their secret base. I have some information for them, in exchange, I will demand new knowledge."

After looking at each other for a moment, Sakon moved closer to his brother. Ukon disappeared inside his brother, leaving just his head visible, as they talked in low voices.

"Sure. Why do you need us?"

"We may have to fight Sasuke Uchiha."

This piqued the twins' curiosity since they had never liked Sasuke. He was haughty, unsociable, and had no real hatred. As Orochimaru smiled inwardly, he knew that the mere mention of Sasuke was enough to convince the two ninjas.

"You should have started there!"

Ukon spoke from behind his brother, a little annoyed, but he didn't add anything after that.

"We leave within an hour, so get ready."

The three Sound ninjas separated. Orchimaru was satisfied with how things were going. He was certain it would be worth his time, even if it took four days.
