Lincoln and Lisa arrive in P-001, where the entire Earth is surrounded by brushes and paint buckets.
- Well… Here we are, brother. Our last stop… - Lisa said quietly, still sniffling. - This planet is for artistically inclined people only. Anyone who's not painting or drawing is either tortured or executed.
- Okay, good, now where do I kick some ass?! - Lincoln growled.
- N-Not now, Lincoln. My radar hasn't got the signal yet…
- Who gives a fuck about your dumb radars, give me that damn thing! - Lincoln grabbed Lisa's device and smashed it.
- B-But… It was our only hope! - Lisa cried out.
- Wanna know a secret? No. One. Cares. I already told you to let go of your shitty science stuff. Now lead me there yourself or I'll kill you right on the spot.
- O-Okay… As you wish…
And so, they set off to find his exact location.
- Hey, looks like I see something! - Lincoln pointed to a huge building. - Looks like an art gallery of some sorts.
- It is! That's his hiding spot! - Lisa yelled out happily, hugging Lincoln. - Oh, I'm so sorry I ever called you stupid, you're a genius!
- I still have a gun, if you wanna know.
- Oh, sorry, sorry….
They walked in the gallery and witnessed marvelous paintings… Combined with rotting corpses of young people and even children nailed to the ceiling.
- Huh. One kind of a painter, alright. - Lincoln chuckled. - Alright, where is that little motherf-
That's when they heard faint laughter from the distance.
- It's him… - Lisa whispered, breathing intensely.
- It could be Luan laughing at her own jokes again, who the fuck knows. - Lincoln looked at some paintings on the wall and grinned. - These do look very nice.
- Never mind the paintings! We have to find the enemy!
- Listen, if you're that dedicated, why don't you do it yourself, huh?! - Lincoln snapped. - Even after you "changed", you still drag me into this for some goddamn reason!
- Help… Me…
This caught both of them off guard.
- Someone's in danger! - Lisa shouted and ran to the source of the sound.
- Or maybeeee the fiend just likes messing around with people. Pick one. - Lincoln laughed. - Alright, now if you'll excuse me, I have to finally get some well-deserved rest.
As Lincoln left through the portal, Lisa was running closer and closer to the pleading for help she just heard.
- Don't worry, whoever you are wherever you are! I'll save you! - Lisa hurried to the rescue as fast as she could, before…
- L-Lisa?... Is that you?... - the voice called for her.
- Lincoln? B-But how did you…
- There's no time for asking questions, you gotta help me!
- Where are you? It's so dark in here…
The light turned on, and Lisa saw thousands of corpses and blood bags right before her eyes, with a clearly traumatized Lincoln lying in the center. It wasn't her Lincoln, which she saw by his style of clothing.
- You're not… You're not him. - Lisa whispered, ready to scurry away as fast as possible.
- Lisa, it's me! - Lincoln sobbed. - I just can't believe I got us into this… All those dead bodies, with no escape in sight… It's a truly horrific experience.
Lisa thought he was tricking her, but he did look so remorseful and genuinely disturbed…
- What do you want? - Lisa asked cautiously.
- Kill me. - He simply replied. - I cannot bear this torture anymore. Do whatever you want with me, but remember: do not leave me alive.
- Lisa thought for some time, before finally grabbing a gun and shooting him with no hesitation. She was about to head home, when she heard a familiar voice.
- Excellent job, Elizabeth Marie Loud. - she turned around, and saw a similarly dressed Lincoln. - My plan worked just as intended.
- Wha… What plan? What's going on?!
- Remember that mind switch experiment from earlier? - Lincoln pointed at his lifeless copy's corpse. - You killed your brother, Lisa. That's what I wanted to achieve, ridding you of the one person you care about most. Although you probably don't really care, I mean, all you really care about is your stupid experiments and fame from finding some cure for cancer.
Lisa was shocked. How could she fall for such a simple trick?! She really is a different person now…
- Can I fix this? I'll be a different person, I promise! - Lisa begged the boy.
- No. Science is a study that knows no mistakes. - Lisa cried even more after she heard what he said. - And now… Close your eyes.
- Lisa did so without hesitation.
- What do you see, Lisa?
- My home. My friends. My family… L… Lincoln…
- Well, say goodbye to all of them. Forever.
- Wait, wha…
And right before she could finish, she was shot. Coldly and mercilessly shot. Her mind finally was put to rest… And so was her brother's. The rest of the family never found them, but that's not what matters. What matters is that they finally learned to understand each other… In some way, at least.
Looks like this story is finally complete. It's far from over, though, because I plan on making more of this stuff... If my imagination allows me to do so.
