Akatsuki's hideout, the next morning.

Itachi opened his eyes to how little difference it made. By using his kekkei genkai, he lost the use of his eyesight, and he had accepted his sad fate. Before all this happened, he hoped to see his adult brother's face. He wanted to clear things up with Sasuke in particular. It was time to explain everything they had gone through when they were young. Why he had acted the way he did. Itachi could not let his brother go before making peace with him. Sasuke had a right to the truth to finally find peace, free from hatred and revenge. Though Itachi suspected Sasuke had probably found it partly thanks to Naruto, who was now in his life. Naruto really liked Sasuke. As he thought back to all the times, he had seen them interact from afar, he smiled. Those two young ninjas were destined to be together; he knew it.

During his sleep, Kisame turned on his side in search of Itachi; he grabbed Itachi's hand without waking up. Kisame and Itachi still struggled to accept the happiness they found together. At first, they didn't believe in their luck. It was a topic they discussed a lot; both had done their share of cruel things. Both their consciences and blood-stained hands weighed heavily on their shoulders.

"We're leaving soon, aren't we?"

Having spoken in a low voice, Kisame was eager to implement their plan. Maybe they could get a second chance if everything worked according to plan. Because of obvious reasons, the shark-man didn't place too much faith in it. If they succeed, it would be a miracle. When Itachi had first told him about it, he couldn't help but laugh at such an unlikely scenario. The moment he met his almost blind gaze, Kisame realized he had hurt his lover. After looking away, Uchiha left him alone. He hadn't seen the proud heir in two days. Itachi acted as though nothing had happened when he returned. Kisame had apologized to Itachi, but Itachi had simply pretended he hadn't heard.

Kisame got tired of this situation after a week, so he confronted Itachi. For the first time, they had fought; hurtful words were hurled from both sides. Their fears and insecurities were exposed. Although brief, the fight was devastating. Kisame couldn't recall the name of the place they were in, but the forest surrounding them was completely destroyed. The two of them ended up in each other's arms, apologizing to each other for their reactions. Even so, everything had been said, and they were starting out on a stronger footing than before. Now, Kisame was convinced that his lover had a good plan. He vowed to himself that he would do everything he could to ensure that everything would go according to plan. Eventually, they approached Orochimaru, who was putting away his things. Looking back at the two nukenin approaching him. Irritated by the delay, he frowned. He wished he had left two hours earlier, but the snake-man did not say anything.

"Let's go."

Itachi turned his back on him and headed for the door, followed by Kisame. Without further ado, the three men left the lair. The men would have to be discreet. By passing through Hi no Kuni, you could reach the duo faster. Therefore, they passed very close to Konoha. Itachi insisted on using stealth mode as much as possible during their high-speed travel. Orochimaru nodded his head, while Kisame had agreed. For different reasons, the three men wanted to reach their destination as quickly as possible. But at least they shared the desire to find the younger Uchiha and the jinchuriki. When they needed to rest, they took micronaps of about thirty minutes. Time was of the essence to them. They needed to be there as soon as possible. There was almost a visceral need for Itachi to be there already. It was time to make peace with his brother. It was time to reveal the truth about everything. When he explained his story to Kisame, the reasons behind what he had done, Kisame had encouraged him. Kisame knew how important it was for Sasuke to know the sad truth behind it all. All they could do now was to continue their rapid progress, and hope that Sasuke and Naruto would not switch places again.

Yo no Kuni. Tsuchi's farm, 2 days later.

"Come on guys, I don't have all day!"

Tsuchi's voice echoed throughout the house, startling the two young men who were breathlessly kissing each other upstairs. While getting dressed, they were distracted by the other's naked body.

"We're on our way!"

The slightly breathless voice of Naruto echoed downstairs. After shaking his head dejectedly, he went outside to load the cart with the merchandise for sale. While Sasuke continued to kiss Naruto's neck, his hands tenderly kneaded his buttocks, making him moan softly with closed eyes. When he heard the front door open and close again, Sasuke finally gave up his pleasant task.

"We've dragged our feet enough. Tsuchi is going to load the entire load by himself, and I promised to help him."

After sticking his tongue out at him - a very mature action - he turned away and bent over very sensually to pick up his pants. Naruto is showing his man his beautiful round buttocks. The Uchiha did not fall for it, instead he slapped the boy on the ass.

"Ouch! TEME!"

The two men quickly finished dressing after that. By giving each other little kisses here and there, they insult each other tenderly. They walked down the stairs a little later and grabbed a piece of bread on the table, which was waiting for them. They went outside to meet Tsuchi. Upon realizing Tsuchi had almost filled the cart, Naruto felt uncomfortable. The bags of vegetables that the three men had to sell today at the Market were all well placed.

"I'm sorry Tsuchi. I didn't mean for you to do it alone."

The old man winked at them as he shook his head. In preparation for pulling the trailer, Naruto approached it. The walk from the farm took about an hour. Sasuke, however, immediately stopped him.

"Not in your condition, Baka. Just be pretty!"

When Naruto glanced at Tsuchi who shook his head gently, he gave in to Sasuke without arguing. Even so, the Uzumaki insisted on walking beside him to assist him if he ever became tired. The three of them walked at a moderate pace discussing everything and anything. They arrived at the Market earlier than expected.

They were all greeted by the merchants on the spot. Everyone wished Taiyo a good day. Tsuchi's business has exploded since Naruto joined him at the market. Despite his woman's henge, Naruto kept his ever-present smile and kept talking to everyone. Customers and other merchants adored their little Taiyo. They used to tease her husband Hiryû, saying he had to keep a close eye on his kind and beautiful wife. He was much warmer now, but still retained the look of seriousness. Anyone who stepped out of line would be given a look that would send chills down his spine. Only occasionally did this happen, but everyone respected them. Once again, Tsuchi sold all his products that day. It wasn't that he didn't know who to thank, but that he didn't know what to say to these two young people. He was glad Kami let him meet them. The old man realized that he did not want them to leave. He knew though that both of them were very powerful ninjas, so their Hokage would want them around. Tsuchi knew that he was going to miss their presence in his house a lot. Once they left his house would be too quiet again, and it would seem even emptier. He shook his head to chase away the melancholy that was trying to take hold of him. Tsuchi would enjoy their company until the last moment. The farmer finished tidying up the table he used to sell his goods. Naruto and Sasuke had already put the rest of the stuff back in the back of the cart. Naruto was chatting briskly with a merchant who came from the north. The young man seemed to be able to make friends anywhere and with anyone.

"Hey, Taiyo! Hey, Hiryû! Are you ready?"

They both turned to him, and Naruto greeted him cheerfully. Sasuke nodded as usual. Each of them took the other's hand and they walked toward their friend who was waiting for them near the cart. The atmosphere was relaxed, as the evening sun was beginning to set. They stayed a little longer than they usually do. Business was good, so they enjoyed it. Naruto and Tsuchi were always chatting; about the day, the weather, what to expect the next day. As usual, Sasuke led the way, listening to the two men talk with a small smile of satisfaction.

It made him happy to see his kitsune so content and fulfilled. The nukenin considered several times proposing to his beloved not to return to Konoha so they could continue to live in peace. Because of a reason he did not know, Sasuke did not dare. But he knew Naruto loved his village and the people who lived there. Despite everything he had endured growing up there. According to Sasuke, the blond boy was a pure soul who saw the good in everyone. That's why he loved him so much. The Uchiha knew it was selfish to want to keep Naruto to himself, especially with their unborn child. In some way, Sasuke feared that Konoha would attempt to take this little being for themselves. He would never let his child be used by the people of Konoha. They would not use their child as a guinea pig, a weapon, or even as an object of observation. Sasuke hadn't yet told Naruto about his fear. He feared that he wouldn't take him seriously, that he would shrug his shoulders and say that he was worrying too much. Much more than his kitsune, Sasuke had seen the dark side of humanity. He wanted to keep it that way. Naruto's naivety was his favorite quality. He never lost it despite all he had been through. He didn't know how it was possible, but Sasuke wanted to keep that part of him intact for as long as possible. Those qualities made him one of the brightest people on earth.

The three companions moved more slowly than before. The day had been long, and Naruto seemed to get tired more quickly lately. As dusk fell, they walked in silence. Sasuke and Tsuchi had succeeded in persuading Naruto to ride in the cart. The half moon dimly illuminated the road. As they approached the clearing, they realized that they had about 20 minutes left until they reached the house. Tsuchi and Sasuke increased their speed without even realizing it. Naruto was asleep in the cart. When Sasuke felt the chakra, he had hoped to never feel again, he shouted.

"Tsuchi! Naruto!"

Just in time, he was able to push Tsuchi away before his cart caught fire. His eye caught a glimpse of Naruto emerging from the other side with a rasengan in his hand.

"Orochimaru!"

The voice of the raven echoed through the clearing. Naruto had approached him and Tsuchi.

"This is our fight! Go back to the farm. We'll meet you there. If we can't tell you the name of your wife, don't open the door."

After nodding his head, the farmer ran back to his house. The two ninjas watched him until he was absorbed by the night. They stood back-to-back, ready for battle, waiting for Orochimaru to attack. They both looked down in surprise when an object fell at their feet at that moment. Their eyes were wide with confusion. At their feet lay Orochimaru's head, with his eyes open in surprise and his mouth open in a silent scream. The sharingan in Sasuke's eyes was spinning rapidly as he tried to see what was going on. As he recognized the person approaching him, his blood ran cold.

"Itachi."

When he whispered his name, he wasn't sure whether his companion heard him. Naruto, however, briefly placed his hand on Sasuke's shoulder in an effort to comfort him. The elder Uchiha and the blue-skinned ninja appeared barely two meters from them a few seconds later.

"Sasuke."

The voice of his brother was the same as he remembered. He attacked his brother without giving his brain time to react. When they were initially attacked, both his and Naruto's henges had been cancelled. As Sasuke jumped towards his brother, he added a chidori to the attack he was making with his kusanagi, which he had hidden behind his back. The attack was easily avoided by his brother. As of now, Naruto was still analyzing the situation. They weren't attacked by the two nukenins in front of them, and the shark man's huge sword was still attached to his back. In spite of this, Sasuke did not seem to notice anything. His eyes were two red beads, and his face was expressionless. Only the coldness of someone who was about to kill another.

"Katon goukakyuu no jutsu!"

The voice of Sasuke echoed through the forest. He moved out of range instead of attacking, but he still didn't attack. As Naruto saw all this, he wanted to tell Sasuke what was really happening. Sasuke's position changed too quickly for Naruto to talk to him. Sasuke shouted again.

"Enton: Kagutsuchi!"

Kusanagi was engulfed in flames of Amaterasu, and Sasuke attacked again. Itachi jumped to the side again, narrowly avoiding his otouto's attack. Sasuke seemed to be in a state of frenzy that Naruto had never experienced before. He had to do something to get his man's attention. Neither Itachi nor his companion wanted to fight. Sasuke's voice echoed through the silent forest once more.

"Katon - Gôryûka no jutsu!"

Naruto thought Itachi wouldn't be able to dodge the attack because it was so powerful. A deep voice was heard at the moment when there should have been an impact.

"Suiton - Suiryûdan no Jutsu!"

The fire was absorbed by a huge water dragon. After the shark-man intervened, Sasuke seemed surprised and stopped moving. Naruto jumped towards him and wrapped his arms around him.

"Sasuke! Sasuke!"

There was no sign that his lover saw him or heard him. Naruto did as he thought and slapped him hard. The red gazes flickered in their sockets before settling on the blue one that stared at him with concern.

"Naruto, don't stay here."

Sasuke tried to push the blonde angel away. He couldn't handle anything happening to him or to the child he was carrying.

"I want you to listen to me first!"

He turned his gaze to the man in his life. Noticing Naruto's tears in his eyes. He held him so tightly in his arms that his own couldn't move.

"Did you notice that your brother and his sidekick didn't try to attack us?"

Sasuke took the time to look, to look carefully. Both men faced him, arms crossed. The shark-man had not drawn his massive sword. This time Itachi did not use his kekkei genkai. All they used was a water jutsu to cancel his attack. Sasuke was confused by his brother's actions. In the past, Itachi had tried everything to make him disappear and to kill him, but now he was doing nothing to defend himself. What was happening?

"I just wanted to talk to you, Sasuke."

His younger brother frowned, wondering what his brother was trying to do. Was he trying to get him to lower his guard so that he could attack him more easily? He looked at the two men before him again. Itachi had moved closer to Kisame before he grabbed his hand. He blinked rapidly, thinking he was hallucinating. His brother was holding hands with the shark-man. It appeared that the blue man was supporting him as well. Keeping one hand in his own, Naruto loosened his grip on him. Naruto turned his head to face the other two nukenin.

"If you try anything to harm Sasuke, I will let my Biju have it. This man is the love of my life. I will not allow anyone to hurt him. Whether it is in one way or another, I will destroy all those who seek to harm Sasuke."

The elder smiled and nodded before bending to sit on the ground. He then created a small fire in front of him, and his lover sat beside him. By waving his hand, he invited both Sasuke and Naruto to do the same. After looking at each other, both shinobis moved forward and took their places in front of the other two. For a moment, the four men stared at each other in silence, only broken by the sounds of the forest around them. Sasuke looked again at Naruto's hand and tightened it strongly in his. He needed as much positivity as he could muster right now.

"Sasuke, I now wish to tell you what happened when I killed our Clan members in Konoha."

Sasuke's face has lost the little bit of color he had. He tightened his grip on Naruto's hand almost to the point of hurting him.

"This will be a long story. If you can listen to me all the way through before interrupting me, it would be perfect."

As the youngest looked down at the fire, he simply nodded. His grip on his kitsune loosened as well. Sasuke did not want to listen to his brother's justifications, but he wanted to know why, why had he murdered their clan? But why did he leave him alive?

Sasuke sat comfortably, keeping Kusanagi close by. Naruto relaxed beside him. He knew, however, that he would still remain vigilant. Now, they were ready to hear the story of Itachi Uchiha.
