Have you ever chapter 24

Have you ever found the one.
You've dreamed of all of your life?
Just about anything to look into their eyes?
Have you finally found the one you've given your heart to?
Only to find that one won't give their heart to you?
Have you ever closed your eyes.
Dreamed that they were there?
And all you can do is wait for the day when they will care.

Tsuchi's farmhouse

Naruto looked at the woman in front of him. In the last few years, Tsunade had always been a comforting presence. He explained to her what had happened since his meeting with Sasuke in Ta no Kuni in the snake's lair. Once back in Konoha, his depression, his isolation, and his decision to leave Konoha for a few weeks.

His meeting with Tsuchi, how he almost died due to the cold, and the difficulty he had getting to the temple. The Samurai's strength, rigidity, and dedication impressed Naruto during their training. Afterwards, he talked about Kakashi's sudden arrival and how surprised he was when he told him.

"Sasuke is on the way."

Naruto had moved closer to Sasuke, and unconsciously, the Uchiha encircled his shoulders. Naruto had taken a brief pause to take a sip of tea. His gaze was lost in the distance, as the night had fallen. He continued to look for Tsunade's eyes. She was listening attentively; she had barely touched her tea. The farmer excused himself to take care of the animals. When Sasuke wanted to follow him, he refused, he wanted him to remain near Naruto. The blond boy continued his story, the arrival of Sasuke at the Temple, their confrontation in the sealed room under the Samurai building. After realizing what he had felt for the black man, he tried until the very last moment to make him understand.

A tear rolled down the Uchiha's cheek to the surprise of the Hokage. It appeared that he was apologizing to Naruto. He tightened his grip on the body of the man he loved. Sasuke was next to speak. Uchiha explained that he had wanted to deny his feelings until the last minute. When he thought he had succeeded in ending the life of his angel, he was filled with endless regret. The anger he feels towards himself, the return of Naruto, their discussion, and finally the acceptance of their shared love. As she tried to mop up her watery eyes, Tsunade sniffed very unsubtly. She had been shaken by the story of the two shinobi.

She had never been able to comprehend the emotion that bound these two men together. Tsunade had never seen such a strong fusion of love between two people before. Even the love she had felt for Dan seemed insignificant next to what she was seeing in front of her. After sighing for a long time, Naruto continued the story of their decision to return to Tsuchi. There was also the surprise attack of Orochimaru. Upon hearing Naruto describe the battle, Gamabunta's participation, and his comment about having two humans on his head, she smiled.

Itachi's presence was kept a secret by the two lovers. They didn't want anyone to find out that Itachi and Kisame were alive. They deserved happiness too. He then summarized Orochimaru's second attack in the vaguest possible way. In the end, he revealed that Sasuke had cut off his head before burning him. As a result of the revelation that top Konoha leaders have been involved in the massacre of the Uchiha Clan. During their last fight, Naruto told her the information was provided by the former sanin.

Naruto stopped talking, stood up from the table to stretch and walked to the window looking out on the back of the house.

"We're staying here, Baa-chan. We're not going back to Konoha."

Naruto said in a calm, yet unyielding tone. Tsunade had heard this tone of voice from the jinchuriki several times, and she knew he had made his decision. In turn, she sighed heavily; Tsunade couldn't leave the village empty handed. Especially when four ANBU agents knew their location. Having left Konoha the day before, the Hokage had, of course, notified Shizune and Kakashi who were to replace her. That was a lot of people who had to be silenced. The main problem was the ANBU agents.

Danzô's replacement was already being sought by the Council. What could she do? Her duty as a Hokage was to Konoha, but when it came to Naruto, her heart seemed to disregard her duty. Her eyes were directed at the two young men who seemed to be having a heated conversation. She could see that Sasuke was not agreeing with his boyfriend for some reason. Suddenly, Uchiha stood up and raised his arms. Smirking, Tsunade knew he would get what he wanted. Naruto's tears were barely contained as she noted Sasuke's hurt look.

Regardless of the reasons for their altercation, both seemed upset by their decision. Seeing that Uchiha had moved away from her, Tsunade turned her attention back towards him. He sits at the bottom of a flight of steps that lead, it appears, to the second floor of the farmhouse. She knew that Sasuke was hurt, but that he still loved Naruto despite everything and would stay close to him. The change in Sasuke was shocking to her. The back door suddenly opened, startling everyone. Tsuchi walked in. Immediately, he noticed the change in atmosphere. Even though it was late, he offered to make some more tea and rice cookies.

Having returned to the table, Naruto gestured for Tsunade to take the chair left by Sasuke. At first, the only noise in the house was Tsuchi's preparations. Tsunade wondered what was going on, why was the Uchiha sulking in his corner? Naruto seemed to regret his decision already. She noticed the blond boy close his eyes and exhale heavily before looking at her.

"The first reason we didn't want to go back to Konoha is because of the massacre of the Uchiha Clan. However, there is a second reason that is equally important."

Tsunade wanted a clarification of what had happened. Tsunade wasn't in office when the massacre occurred. She wasn't even in the village. Tsunade desperately wanted her beloved ray of sunshine to return. Taking her hand, Naruto looked her straight in the eyes before she could intervene.

"I'll tell you our second reason, but first..."

In a low, threatening voice, Sasuke cut off the jinchuriki.

"Naruto wishes to reveal something he didn't want you to know to you, Tsunade. If anything happens to him, I don't care if you are Konoha no Namekuji Tsunade-hime. I will kill you with my own hands before completely destroying Konoha."

"Sasuke!"

His gaze was fixed on his lover, and he didn't look down. As a way of demonstrating his seriousness, he displayed his sharingan. The Uzumaki sighed, defeated. Even though sharingan was activated, Tsunade did not feel threatened. She refused to be intimidated. She took a candlestick from the table. The candlestick was carved from a block of stone. She smashed the candlestick with ease while keeping her gaze on the Uchiha. Tsuchi was surprised by the strength of the woman sitting at his table. He shook his head in disbelief. These Ninjas really were special. He placed the tea and cookies on the table before sitting down.

"Uchiha, I don't like feeling threatened like this. The only reason you are not being blown apart like this candlestick is the affection Naruto seems to have for you. Don't forget that."

Two of the most important people in his life stared at each other, neither ready to admit defeat.

"OK, you two, that's enough!"

With the palm of his hand, Naruto hit the table. His back was hurting like hell, and he was so tired. He was eager to get this conversation over with so that he could finally sleep.

"Tsunade, hold out your hand."

Sasuke took his place to the left of his lover when she gave him her hand. The Uchiha's gaze was glued to the Hokage. Naruto seemed to trust her, but he could not do so. The blonde woman raised her eyebrow in curiosity when the jinchuriki placed his hand on his stomach. Apparently, she had no idea what was going on. A few seconds later, the woman's eyes widened before she closed them again, and the blonde focused.

"Kami-Sama..."

Tsunade didn't open her eyes right away; she kept her hand on Naruto's stomach. She wanted to ensure that she wasn't dreaming. How was that possible? It seemed that her little ray of sunshine was pregnant. She had no doubt that he was three months pregnant. As Tsunade opened her eyes, she was absorbed by Naruto's blue eyes. They sparkled with happiness. She felt his hand squeeze hers a bit. In the end, the Hokage understood Sasuke's words and Naruto's decision. The jinchuriki would become a laboratory rat if he returned to Konoha. Despite her title, she knew she could not protect him or the child that was growing inside of him.

"Now I understand."

Tsunade said this as she looked at Sasuke. He nodded but didn't say anything else. The sharingan wasn't there, but it was still close to Naruto. What would she do? As a result of their return from the mission with Danzo's body, the ANBU agents were placed in solitary confinement. Ibiki was instructed to wait until she returned to question them about what had happened. Tsunade knew perfectly well that Sasuke had rendered his agents inactive. The fact he had not killed them surprised her. It worked to her advantage. It was in the interest of his lover that Uchiha made this decision. Naruto had a positive impact on the last Uchiha. In addition to keeping this in mind, Tsunade also had to find a solution quickly.

"Sasuke, Naruto, if you have a "normal" pregnancy, your child should be born in about six months."

Both men looked at each other. Natsuto's smile almost blinded Tsunade, and she saw Uchiha's smile for the first time.

"You won't be able to give birth normally, like a woman. You will need a C-section to give birth to your child. I'm going to write down what you should do when that day comes."

From the inside pocket of his traveling cloak, the Hokage took out a scroll, a quill and ink.

Have you ever helped your animals give birth, Tsuchi-san?"

The farmer was surprised to hear the Hokage speak to him. He had thought everyone had forgotten he was there.

"Yes, Hokage-sama. Many times."

Without adding anything else, she continued to write down her recommendations quickly and silently. She then handed the scroll to Sasuke.

"I left you a detailed diagram of the procedure for doing the C-section. You won't be able to use any anesthetic since you won't be in a hospital setting, so it will be extremely painful for Naruto."

Naruto, who was drinking her words, was staring at the blonde woman. Naruto seemed so happy that she wasn't lecturing him or trying to convince him to return to the village. Although the Hokage understood, she was determined to protect her adopted son at all costs, especially from the unscrupulous people of Konoha. After getting up from her chair, she picked up her traveling cloak and threw it over her shoulders.

"I should return to Konoha right now. I don't know how you did it, and I don't care. Stay as invisible as ghosts and use his henge outside. Naruto shouldn't push too hard, rest as much as possible, and eat a balanced diet. Ramen is a meal that should not be eaten every day, only once in a while."

The jinchuriki blushed and stuck out his tongue when the other two men snickered.

"What are you going to do, Baa-chan?"

It was clear that he was apprehensive, and she understood him. As his adoptive mother, she had the responsibility of protecting and reassuring him.

"My secret is safe with me. I will find a permanent solution to make you disappear, and you and the child to come will always be safe."

After saying these words, Tsunade found herself in Naruto's powerful hands. His embrace was tight.

"Thanks a lot, Baa-chan."

The blond man could not continue his sentence due to emotion. She returned his embrace and gazed over her shoulder at Sasuke. A slight smile appeared on Uchiha's face as he nodded. Tsunade knew that her decision was the right one. How would she carry it out? She had no idea. However, she would succeed. Tsunade knew that everyone who loved Naruto would be greatly affected by this. Naruto's happiness was more important to her than anything else, and she would not fail him.

"We won't see each other again if everything goes well."

Before parting ways, the two blond ninjas looked at each other and tightened their embrace.

"I'm willing to do everything I can to make everyone think you're dead. I don't know how yet, but I will succeed. I'll send a letter to Tsuchi-san thanking him for the vegetables. If I mention your animals, you will have to change your address as soon as possible."

As she met Sasuke's gaze, he extended his hand to her. Sasuke shook her hand. After nodding his head, the man whispered a thank you. Tsunade nodded, greeted Tsuchi and walked out. She disappeared into the night. The room fell silent. After falling hard on the chair, Naruto let his head fall back onto the table. His body shook as he sobbed. In a flash, Sasuke was at his side, wrapping his arms around him. As he fell into his lover's arms, the jinchuriki let the pain that washed over him run free. After Tsunade departed, Sasuke felt his pain. His lover was left without a village, and despite what he learned, it was difficult for him to accept this decision.

Naruto's love for Konoha, and his dream of becoming a Hokage one day, was known to Sasuke. It was all gone in one night. Sasuke could only comfort him as best as he could and be there for him. In about ten minutes, the sobs had dried up, and when Sasuke tried to stand, he noticed that his kitsune had fallen asleep in his arms. Sasuke smiled tenderly. He was guided upstairs by Tsuchi lighting a candle. Naruto was gently laid down by Sasuke without being woken. He would not let go of his lover's arm even as he slept. So, Sasuke lay down with Naruto. Immediately, Uzumaki wrapped himself around him and started to snore softly.

"It's okay. This woman seemed to have Naruto's trust. And besides, you will always have a roof over your heads, as long as you want it."

Then Sasuke bowed his head in thanks with a smile he didn't offer to everyone. Tsuchi returned the smile, and he left the room, closing the door behind him. He hoped that their Hokage could keep his word, and that the two young ninjas could live in peace with their child.

Konoha, two days later.

Shizune was seeking Tsunade, who had arrived earlier that day, only to disappear into the Konoha library. She searched everywhere in the library but couldn't find her. Except for the forbidden section. She had no choice but to visit it. Shizune wondered why her friend ventured to that part of the library. Even though she was clearly fatigued, the Hokage appeared to be in a feverish state when she saw him this morning. Shizune didn't know what to make of it. Tsunade had not even stopped by Kakashi's office to inform him of her return. She was certain that something was afoot. At the back of the dimly lit room, Shizune saw her friend's blond head buried in a scroll, along with a dozen others.

"Tsunade! Could you tell me what's going on with you?"

She did not look up from the scroll she was reading.

"Not yet; when we're under seal in my office with Kakashi."

After reading the scroll, she put it down and picked up another one on the table below. She shook her head in disappointment. For the time being, she knew she would not receive any more from her friend. In response, Shizune offered to help Tsunade look for what she was looking for, but she refused, telling her to leave her alone. Shizune left her in the room and headed to the Hokage's office. She had to inform Kakashi that Tsunade had returned. She moved quickly through the corridors that led to the office. She avoided looking at anyone because she did not want to be delayed. She signed before entering the room. From the pile of papers before him, Kakashi sighed.

"Tell me Tsunade has returned!"

The jounin's voice was tired and low. Kakashi hated paperwork, but this was all he had to do since the departure of their Hokage.

"Yeah, but she's acting strange. We will have to wait for her to join us here, and I don't know how long it will take."

To the right of the Hokage's desk, the assistant took her place at her desk. Having seen Tsunade arrive at the library this morning, she described what she saw to the copy ninja. The man looked at her without interfering. Tapping the desk with his index finger, he had closed his only visible eye. He kept his eyes closed for a few more minutes after Shizune finished her story.

"I'm sure it's related to Naruto."

Shizune slapped her forehead mentally. She knew it was related to Naruto. There was always something strange about their Hokage when it came to the blond boy. Until Tsunade emerged from the library and explained what was really going on, all they could do was wait. With a soul-splitting sigh, Kakashi returned to work while Shizune sorted out the documents that had been processed. For almost three hours, they worked in silence before Tsunade appeared in her office in a hurry. She asked her assistant to seal the room in a protective and silent manner. She opened the second drawer before going to her desk and took the flask of sake. She opened it quickly before swallowing half of it, her eyes filling with tears. Despite this, the blonde woman sighed with relief. In the end, Tsunade turned her gaze to two trusted people in her office. As she motioned to Kakashi to leave, he did so without hesitation.

"Kakashi, Shizune. What I'm about to reveal to you here must absolutely remain confidential. You must swear to me that you will never tell anyone about this."

From the tone she had used the discussion would be serious. The two ninjas in front of her looked at each other before nodding solemnly. Tsunade watched them for a moment before beginning her story. Tsunade summarized everything that Naruto had explained to her, plus what Sasuke had done to Danzo, and why he had done it. Despite the blind trust she had in Shizune and Kakashi, the blonde kept the jinchuriki's pregnancy to herself. The fewer people who knew about it, the less likely it was to be revealed through negligence. When she finished her story, Tsunade told them that neither of the two young men would be returning to Konoha. In silence, she waited for her assistants and Kakashi to digest everything she had just said.

"If I understand correctly, Naruto wants to leave Konoha for Sasuke's sake?"

Shizune's eyes grew round as she chewed her lower lip.

"Yes," Tsunade answered.

Kakashi was still contemplating the situation, his eyes closed, and his hands were under his chin. The copycat ninja spoke after a few minutes of silence.

"There's something else you won't or can't tell us. That's why you spent your return trip at the library."

Tsunade stared at him in surprise. No matter what form a situation took, he was able to analyze it with great skill.

"Yes. Kakashi, I will need your assistance. I need your sharingan."

Now it was the ninja's turn to look shocked at his Hokage. What could she be planning? It was especially dangerous if it relied on the sharingan. After pulling the scroll from her sleeve, she rolled it on her desk.

"In the items I confiscated from Orochimaru I found this scroll. Before you panic, I thought a lot about it. I think this is the right solution."

Two other shinobi looked at her curiously. Tsunade's voice was dark, sad, and filled with resolve. When the blonde had their full attention, she continued.

"Sasuke and Naruto will be found dead in a valley between here and Yu no Kuni. They will have perished at the hands of Orochimaru. We will then send out search parties to find the murderer of the two young men, but we will never track him."

Kakashi looked at her as if she was mad. Shizune had changed her color and sat down slowly at her desk.

"But... How are you going to do it?"

Suddenly, her assistant's throat became so dry that she had to clear it. Tsunade touched the open scroll on her desk with her finger.

"By using Shikon no Jutsu, however the version Kabuto created."

Shizune and Kakashi approached the table to examine Kabuto's notes. In order to change the face of the corpse, he used plastic surgery. Kabuto could then make clones of himself and pretend to be dead. According to the ninja's notes, all they needed was some DNA from Sasuke and Naruto. As well as some of their clothes. They were looking at the details of the kinjutsu, which was frightening. However, Tsunade's plan will work perfectly to make both lovers disappear for good. Kakashi wasn't sure how much he agreed with the plan. Naruto and Sasuke were originally supposed to return to Konoha together. After that, their lives would return to normal. If they disappeared like this, many people would be upset. If Naruto died, all the shinobi in the village would mourn his death. In particular, Sakura would feel this double loss the most. How about him? Could he hide such information from his lover?

Shizune was more concerned with her blonde friend. It would be difficult for Tsunade to live with this decision and the impact it would have on her shinobi's morale. It will also affect the allied nations, primarily Suna and Kumo. It is likely that Gaara and Killer Bee will demand blood. The fact that no one would be able to find Orochimaru in the long run wouldn't help their plan. However, Shizune knew that her friend had already considered all this before making this decision.

"I will do my best to help you, Tsunade."

With a smile, the Hokage turned to her oldest friend. She knew she could rely on her. She shifted her attention back to the only man in the room. He finally agreed.

"My sincere thanks! I will send a coded message to Naruto. Kakashi, I need you to send him your most ordinary ninken that has no sign of Konoha on it. He will get some clothes for their smell as well as DNA."

The three looked at each other, ready to set the plan in motion. Tsunade was relieved when she saw that her two assistants were ready to help her with this crazy plan. It never occurred to her that she would have to lie to an entire village, let alone the Shinobi world, for the sake of a little ray of sunshine. It did not seem extreme to her. After all Naruto had healed the wounds that had blackened her soul and heart. All this was for the blonde's sake. All the rest would follow without difficulty. Tsunade also knew the other two would follow suit. Tsunade sat down at her desk to write a letter to Naruto. Meanwhile, Kakashi had made a white dog of no particular distinction appear. When all the preparations were completed, they parted ways and went their separate ways. The only thing left was to wait.
