It was difficult to find information about this era but hopefully, this chapter will live up to expectations. Also thanks for the feedback everyone. Don't worry this isn't a Stark wank, they aren't exactly good if you notice what they've done to the past (cough cough The Three Sisters). I reply to questions at the end of the chapter btw. Thanks for all the comments

After spending the rest of the day planning what to do and say I felt excited. It will be quite interesting to see how Lorin does part. And what better way to use that excitement than to be productive.

Trying to be productive I decided to quickly go to Westeros during nightfall to grab some plants to start making the flag along with finding the hot springs that would one day be where Winterfell is built.

Only one problem, the woods during the night are what some would call nightmare fuel.

It was a place where blood leaking from magical trees with faces carved into them that might or not be watching you were the least of your concern. Where you don't know if that crow that is watching you is secretly connected to a hivemind of a godlike being or if that bear is secretly a skin-changer or what they like to call it in these parts, a warg. Perhaps it is the deafening silence or the wind that I could swear started whispering things to me. No birds chirped, there was no movement of anything, just the feeling of being watched.

So I decided to just leave this accursed land and make it back home. Not before running into the Ocean and diving down a bit to make sure no one could actually see me teleport. Though I felt extremely crazy doing the latter part. The last thing I want is any of those magical entities knowing about me.

Exploring can continue tomorrow, though not before bringing some people with me. Not because I'm scared or anything.

Counting everyone, we have 27 people. If I make 12 more so they could travel with me and hopefully convince some people that my Dynasty exists. It's a lot easier convincing someone that you're not a hobo or a peasant or just crazy if you bring along more people. This would then bring the number of residents to 39. Which isn't bad.

As people started to awake I decided to commit and start with the creation of my new guards This time I decided to give them a few traits that would help them pass as First Men. They looked quite average, with most of them having black hair with a blonde or two mixed in. Their eye color was average as well, ranging from blue, to gray to green and brown. Though their stats were effectively the same as their other kinsman. This was mostly done so people won't become suspicious of my people, and sacrifice us to their dark gods. With the hunters and Lorin teaching them about the basics of the old tongue and how to wield a spear and bow for the rest of the day.

As I checked up on the flag it was a bit weird. Since we didn't have proper cloth to make the flag we ended up using the hide that we got from our hunting trips. The flag wasn't quite colored to perfection either. And the crown looked less like a crown and more like a circle with pointed edges. Not that I can blame them, since they have never seen a crown before. It doesn't matter, it'll do for now.

After that, I replenished the resource dump with some more metals for me along with telling him about how to make a nail along with a nail header and a vice, which helps him in holding hot metal.

After meeting with my dear blacksmith and adding some more trees to the pile for whatever anyone needed them for. That was the day is done, nothing too exciting.

Afterward, I decided to just plan out what I was going to do the following day. Where each territory is based on the landmarks and go on a sightseeing tour with my new guards, the hunters, and a wary Lorin. While everyone was getting ready I made a quick decision of just teleporting in some deer. On some of the newly made enclosures…which would be next to useless as the deers could just jump over them. It was probably alright though. With the deer and the fishing, they should have a fresh source of food until we manage to return.

Having a bad feeling about teleporting in the middle of the North where the children of the forest and the Old Ways were at an all-time high seemed unnecessarily risky. So, I decided to pack some leftover deer meat and teleport to the edge of a territory of what the locals call The Rills. From there we marched straight towards the place where Winter Fell.

Nothing much happened on the way there. The North was just so…empty. While there were a few trees it was nothing like how it was in the South, and most of the trees seemed relatively new. I ended up talking to some of my guards and they were quite pleasant to be around. It still amazes me how fast they can adapt to their situation. With a single day of learning they can learn the basics of a language. And it was clear how every day that passes they become more fluent and better warriors, with no small part because of the hunters and Lorin's aid. They weren't exactly master warriors but they seemed decent enough. Definitely surpassed my expectations with how little time they had with training.

We also happened to come across many caves and small ponds I could teleport to in the future to make it less apparent and away from prying eyes that may be looking towards us as we can teleport.

It was nearly 2 months before we could finally see a wooden outline of a fort in the place where one of the largest castles in Westeros will one day reside.

Before we could advance, however, we were halted. A group of about 5 men approached us with rather majestic beards. Lorin and the men started conversing. After a few minutes, he returns to me to relay what he has discovered.

"I told them that we were looking for a Brandon Stark to aid him in the construction of his holding.", Lorin starts.

"And what did they say?"

"They were going back to ask Master Stark"

As we waited there for what felt like a few hours, the men returned. Again Lorin comes to talk with them. And once again Lorin returns to me.

"They saw that they'll allow only 3 of us into their home and that they'll have to participate in some bread eating ritual.", Lorin spoke as he approached me.

"You could go and take 2 other men with you. Even though I wanted to go, it would be a bit weird for me to go, as I don't understand the old tongue anyways, as for the bread ritual, don't worry it's mostly a cultural thing to make sure none of you wish ill of each other."

"Understood."

He proceeds to follow the men along with one of the hunters and one of the guards.

As long as he follows the script I gave him he should be good.

(P.O.V. Lorin)

As I approached this Brandon's Stark wooden fort. According to my creator, the fort didn't exist a year ago, so it must be very recent.

Soon the gate opens and a man exits. He had unkempt dark brown hair that was flowing until his neck. A small beard and gray eyes. He goes towards a man to his side and picks up a bowl that appears to have bread in it.

As I approach he starts to speak.

"So you must be this Lorin, my kinsman was talking about."

I merely nod my head.

"That's a very peculiar name, where are you from?"

It was clear it was less of a question and more of a demand. Luckily we had planned for this.

"It's from the far North West."

"The only thing West is the Iron Islands, and you look far different than the Grey King and his people. Where are you from?".

"I do not lie. We are from the Far North West. We traveled back South and have decided to help you build your keep."

"And why did you travel South and why do you wish to aid me?"

"The reason we traveled South and the reason we wish to aid you are the same."

Here goes the plan.

"It's the Others."

Silence quickly deafens the area. It was as if not even the birds outside dared to chirp, in the presence of that name.

"Explain.",

"During the battle of the Dawn, we followed those abominations North and proceeded to hunt them with all of our efforts."

"For us, it seemed that we had lost everything during the Long Night."

"And so we hunted down the servants of The Great Other with barbarous cruelty."

"For none could escape our vengeance."

"Would you have us rest and surrender our armor and weapons for a hoe or shovel ?!", I start to yell.

"Would you have us lay down our guard for a foe that wishes nothing but death for us !"

"..."

"We could not find all of them."

"For our fore knows us, for they fear us"

"We know there are more but we can't find them."

"They are waiting, hiding, squirming around like the cowards they are to bring humanity low."

"I do not know when they shall reveal themselves once again."

"We shall give them to no succor for we will not tire, we will not fail"

"But to do such a task we must be ready."

"Humanity can not be unprepared again."

"We will not rest until they are as destroyed as they pretend to be."

Silence engulfs back the room.

The Stark patriarch just stares at my eyes. A minute passes, and then another. Until finally he decides to speak.

"I understand."

"We are well aware of their threat."

"We are aware that we must prepare."

"For Winter will one day come once again.."

"We will not shy away from free labor, that being said, do not expect to garner favor with us by such an action."

"We're not"

The Stark stares at me before continuing.

"How many men are you willing to spare us?"

"Besides the men outside, we have a few hundred. Though it may take some time for the others to arrive."

While in truth we did not, I was assured that the Creator would create the men required to fulfill such a task.

"We currently have food to only feed another 80 men, for as you are aware we must prepare for the coming winter."

"I understand.",

"Then let us make the pact."

"I, Brandon Stark, do make this pact with you, Lorin of House…Lorin that in exchange for aiding us in construction we shall provide you with shelter and food against the Cold.

"Do you agree?"

The large man proceeds to extend his hand waiting for a response.

"I do," I respond by grabbing his forearm as he does the same to mine.

"And as such the pact is sealed. May you find fortune in the wars to come."

I proceed to leave as I feel the Stark stare directly at the back of my head.

I approach the group, ready to relieve what has just occurred.

(P.O.V. OC)

"So how did it go", I start.

Lorin proceeds to tell us what has occurred.

"I'll bring the hunters and one guard with me back to the base. Afterward, I'll just make the 69 (nice), more guards to help you with the construction."

"I'll teleport the guard and the new guards to the place we were in before, and just make them follow his lead. By the time they reach you they should be more than competent."

"I'll task you with finding out more about Westeros while you're at it."

"After 3 months I'll visit that cave that we found a few kilometers every week, to make sure you are finished and ready to be brought home."

"He just nods."

After a brief walk with the hunters to the cave, and making sure no one was following us or that we weren't being secretly watched, we teleported back to our base.

When we got back I was more than happy with the process they made. Most of the deer that I teleported there were already killed and eaten, though there were still a few there. 3 of the houses were already completed with the 4th being constructed. The blacksmith had a stockpile of large nails and a tower of ingots of different metals towering over him.

As I was welcomed back I began the process of restocking everything, while the hunters finished off the deer that were on the island.

After dropping some more copper along with iron, I proceed to refill a bit of the small lake. Then proceed to go wood chopping for a bit.

For the next 3 days, we were just me and the hunters hunting quite a few deer. Mostly to prepare the guard expedition to Winterfell.

After assigning all of the farmers and fishers to instruct the newcomers on the basics I proceeded to start making some more guards.

This time however I made a large amount of them have golden eyes with varying hair colors. They were also all male like last time since Westeros is a male-dominated society and I didn't want to cause anything to stand out or cause problems.

Though I would have to increase the number of female population later for it to be fair.

After spawning them all in.

I proceeded to spend the next 3 days hunting deer again. Every 2 people would have around an entire deer for their trip. If they needed more food they could just hunt it, or scavenge for it. The new guards were quite useful in skinning and preparing the deer that I brought, which expedited the process quickly.

After gathering everyone and teleporting them all to Rills as well as wishing them luck. I then returned home.

The next day would be the last deer hunting I would need to do for quite a while as the wheat crops were almost ready, for which I was extremely thankful.

Though with the wheat finally maturing I would need to have a granary or someplace to store it. As well as a form of oven and baking sheet to make it.

We also need to do some selective breeding with the wheat seeds, so future generations could grow hardier, faster, and produce a larger yield.

With wheat, we will be able to only just make bread but also flour and pasta. Though we will need some form of a mill to crush it.

So much work to do…

After instructing the construction guys on what to do, they switched priorities and began working on the foundation for the next few projects. While they did I moved to collect a ton of more trees from multiple areas surrounding the coast as I previously did.

After that, I took a much-needed break and started filling out another part of the Ocean till the day break came.

When the lights started emerging I went to a few villages trading some copper for a few chickens and roosters to start growing our farm and help us in the long run.

After which I mostly just started filling the area around the island, while entertaining myself with my wonderful mindscape by binge watching a few tv series. The hardest part was keeping track of the days but all I had to do was set a type of calendar in my mindscape and it seemed to work.

During the middle of this, I was once interrupted, by one of my subjects conveying some problems. Apparently, it had to do with some issues involving management. Which turned into an easy fix as all I had to do was either assign someone to a manager or just make some to do it. I ended up picking the latter and just used the standard template with Lorin I've been using but making it female along with a few differences in height and other small changes.

I proceeded to let the subject inform its new kin about its task while I returned to dumping rocks.

And dump rocks I did for the next 3 months. Which I continued to do so with the addition of traveling to some cave. After 2 weeks of traveling to the cave, I started to get worried. But that was unfounded as a few days later they appeared and I brought them back home.

After they all got comfortable I proceeded to ask what they had learned.

Here I was all relaxed, and I was faced with a horrible truth. That I was beyond screwed.

And I expected many things. But definitely not this.

Apparently, there is some form of rivalry going on between The Gray King, which is the King of what would be the Ironborn and the Iron Islands, and the Garth The Greenhand, which rules what would one day be the Reach.

And by rivalry I mean there's an ancient war of 3 basically magic gods brothers; The Grey King and his leal brother against Garth, The first King.

And it only starts here.

Garth performs blood sacrifices to maintain his youth and perform miracles of fertility. He was the first man in the North, some saying he existed here thousands of years before bringing the other first men here. He is apparently very charismatic and looks very youthful.

The Gray King and his loyal brother worship some eldritch god. And apparently is also a few thousand years old as well as looking like a corpse.

In the middle of Westeros, there were apparently giants and Children of the Forest galore, with the latter requiring you to know how to find them or, they have to make themselves known.

In the North, there are apparently multiple kings. With me dreading the names I hear.

There are the Red Kings of House Bolton and the Dreadfort,

The Umbers Kings and their Last Hearth,

The Mosby Marsh King located in the middle of the Neck,

The Flint King of the Wolfswood,

The Warg King dwelling in Sea Dragon Point, inside of The Rills.

And last and definitely not least,

The all-powerful Barrowking of Barrowtown in his Great Barrow.

And no one can forget the various Mountain clans dwelling here and in Skagos.

I have a strange feeling that they're all super powerful or at least magical in some sense.

The more he talked the worse it got.

The Barrow King even has some type of curse that states, "No living man could rival the First King".

Not even the Starks could be seen as 'good'. As they frequently participate in the right of First night, which lets the Lord sleep with the bride of the man on the wedding night, forcibly if required.

Damm. This world sucks.

And this is only what I know so far. I can't even imagine what's going on in the South.

With Garth the Greenhand and if my hunches and previous knowledge are correct, there is probably some type of god in the Stormlands.

It's times like these that make me thankful that I'm so far away from Westeros. Though I do have to be careful now considering that a teleported animal could have been warged into. And be semi careful about dumping the blood of animals we have in the middle of the Ocean. Maybe even go for a more land diet, though I seem to be far enough for it to not matter.

I am a bit worried about the land expansion since dumping as much as I do is bound to cause something in the Ocean. But since nothing happened so far, I should be good. However, I'm going to somewhat limit my expansion by adding a few small time intervals between. It might be something or it might not be. I just want to be careful and not wake up to an eldritch abomination knocking on my front door.

While I am immortal and therefore can only die when I wish it so. I don't think that any of those Gods will care. For all, I know they could imprison me somewhere for all eternity. And while I lack imagination on how to trap something like myself, I doubt that those gods would lack any.

Hopefully, though, the gods will just end up killing each other while I mind my own business here.

With this depressing information, I need to change my plans a little.

With my land being around 4,000 km^2. Around a 400% increase, courtesy of my dumbing of stone while Lorin and the guards were in Winterfell. I should be able to use the seeds that were gathered from the wheat harvest to fill most of the new land. With this and the chickens, our home would be a lot more self-reliant.

Most of the guards would then join as farmers with the other portion serving as fishers. After that harvest, I'll start making more people be smiths. So I could start making some industry.

In the meantime, I'll take around half of the leather we have and turn them into parchment. And 'I' I mean the crafters. Though for them to be successful they needed lime to help make a solution to remove the fur.

To go along with the parchment I would also need ink. There are 3 animals that can produce them; octopuses, squids, and cuttlefish.

Octopuses are the most dangerous of the three, as well as the most sentient. Their farming would also be more labor intensive compared to the other two options, though they might produce a higher yield.

Leaving us with the squid and cuttlefish. However, before I can start on that I need to have a few things constructed first.

With all of the building projects finished, with the exception of just making more homes, I decided to build what could be fish farms. Perhaps the first in Westeros.

I would need 3 main ones, one for the livestock and one for its food. And an extra one to temporarily place the inhabitants on one of the farms in case something happens.

This would allow us to get a reliable source of ink and even sell if we have large supplies.

Someone would also need to manually refresh the water over time since it won't be able to connect to the Ocean due to the height of the Ocean, even if it could do that it's likely that a wave would just destroy it later.

As for how to make sure the squid or cuttlefish isn't a warg. It's quite simple. Just kill it and if it has eggs place it into a container with some salt water to take it to the farm.

As for the feed, it is most likely going to be tiny shrimp. I'm not too worried about those being warged into considering their small life span and how tiny they are. They probably couldn't see that far away either.

As for their feed, it's pretty much going to be leftovers and things of that nature.

How to get them, is a bit simple. I'll just scan an area that has reefs or cracks in its floor bed for squid. And if something pops up just teleport it and a bit of the surrounding area to a net that one of our crafters made before getting the squid out. Seeing if it has eggs, removing them before moving on to its ink. For the ink, we'll just place it in a cup with a lid.

It doesn't have to last long, since we could easily find a use for it.

Since the area that we are going to search for them and process them is in Westeros, there is very little fear that some deep sea creature could find out and come for us.

I think I'm going to end up increasing the number of introduction chapters simply to make it a bit more engaging. I also fixed some spelling mistakes I found in the previous chapter. I'm thinking of making chapters around the size of this chapter for the future, so I could find spelling mistakes easier as well as publish new chapters faster.

Don't expect Chapters to be posted this fast in the future. My plan is to release between 1-2 chapters a week.

Comments:

Luffyssjg: I was actually planning on making the Starks more cunning and viscous than honorable. I'm not going to say more since I don't want to spoil much. Though you could see some trace of it here.

Guest: Thanks for some of the ideas. Don't worry I already have a plan on integrating most of the information.

Guest: I already knew most of that but thanks for sharing, I already have some plans on how to apply them.

Guest: Yeah many people forget about the Starks invasion of the three sisters and other screwed up things they do. Also it's kinda amazing how much GRR Martin took inspiration for things.

Venerabledemon: Don't worry the Island is eventually going to grow in size, the problem is that the Ocean is as deep as the marianas trench

White Obama: I know, I just kinda wanted to flip that concept on its head in later chapters. There could be a weak Durrandon or Baratheon such as there could be a dishonorable Arryn. There could be a poor Lannister and there could be a craven Stark.

singpu: I'll try not to disappoint

ReedAyon: Heres a fresh chapter to go

Guest: I'm glad you liked it

theseumata359: Thanks!
