Hi there! I had an idea, and it's very different from the usual ones. I'll just say this is a Pokémon Black & White / Legends and Kingdom Hearts crossover. Sort of, kind of? I guess? Now normally, I would just post this in my Fic, "Place Of Forming Ideas," which is a series of ideas for Kingdom Hearts stories I have. But this one leans more into Pokémon, so I'm sharing it as its own entry in the crossover section. Also, I'm not sure if I used the correct genres, hope they're right!
Enjoy reading this little sorta, kinda crossover!
*SPOILER WARNING: It's Vague, but I do mention something that takes place toward the end of KHIII!

"We were always together."
A wife is excited, a husband is overjoyed. They are expecting their first born. A few months later, the doctors tell them, there is not one but two on the way. They don't ask and decide to wait until they are born to know. For every day until their arrival, their mother felt their kicks and movements. It was almost like they were dancing in her womb, every move felt almost in sync with one another. They were together.
.
"Practically joined at the hip."
A soon-to-be mother cries out, her husband and a soon-to-be father holds her hand, the doctors and nurses are assisting as she desperately tries to push. Then, cries are heard, almost in harmony with one another. They are holding each other, neither letting go, hip to hip, they are together. Their mother sees them for the first time, two beautiful boys. She holds them together and looks closer, identical twins. Then, they are taken away, to be washed then swaddled. Their hands touch and never let go of each other. In their incubator box, they stayed together, side by side. Their mother and father both agree on their names, Ingo and Emmet.
.
"We'd wear the same clothes…"
They were getting older their mother sees. She believed it was best to start buying then different clothes, so they could be distinguished from one another. Three-year-olds Ingo and Emmet refused. They wanted to get the same clothes as each other. She couldn't persuade them to wear different things, but she got them to wear different colors of the same clothes. Maybe they'd want different things when they get older, she thought. By seven, their tastes were practically the same, colors polar opposite but all the same. The same brand, same style, same everything but in color. Some days they would swap clothes to play jokes on their parents, but she could always tell who was who. Ingo has a small smile, gentle like the breeze. Emmet has a wide smile, as radiant as the sun. She loves her children.
.
"…eat the same food…"
At five, their parents tried to serve them different foods, but the boys always halved their shares and exchanged them with one another. Whether at home, in restaurants, or parties, they shared their favorite foods. Even if one didn't like the choice as much as the other, they still enjoyed and shared it all together.
.
"…go the same places."
Ingo and Emmet went everywhere together. When someone invited only one of them, the other brother was sure to come in tow. Everyone who saw them always wondered if they ever got bored of following the other, but they never did. Their favorite place to go was the subway where their father and mother both worked. Trains were their favorite subject to learn about every chance they got. When they turned ten, they started their Pokémon journey around Unova together. During this time, they found they both loved Pokémon battling. When they came home after the league matches, they both agreed they wanted to use their love of trains and and their love of battling and incorporate it together somehow.
.
"We were an identical pair-like walking alongside a mirror."
He poses with his left, Ingo poses with his right. Their signature point pose before they begin a battle. They are like a mirror, identical and yet different. Everyone enjoys battling them and what fun it has brought to the subways since its creation. They grew up, they found their interests and differences, but together they were like a reflection of one another. They lived their days doing what they loved and loving what they do. Neither one of them ever saw those days stopping, no end was ever in sight. But…
.
"So why is it me here now?"
A glittering star is surrounded by a world of ocean and sky, this place reminds him of the mirror salt flats he had seen in the PokéNature Magazines. Why was he here, surrounded by this peaceful beauty? Why was he here by himself? Where was his brother? Did he not come here with him? Then, he remembers.
.
"There's this… this feeling."
They were doing their nightly patrol in the subway system. There were some odd movements on the rails, probably some lost Pokémon like a Pidove that accidentally flew in, a Patrat looking for a hole to hide in, or some Joltik messing with the electricity from the lines. Together they looked, then they talked with one another checking and making sure that everything was safe and up to code. Then, both stop. Like a reflection, each held their heart. Something stirs within them and reroutes them on a different track.
.
"Calling to me."
It's faint, but their hearts both feel this pull. They look to the side, they feel something calling them to go in the abandoned tunnel. So they proceed with caution.
.
"Pulling at me."
Their hearts boom louder and louder, the strange sensation pulls them deeper and deeper into the tunnel system, until they find the source.
.
"And now I share it."
They're enveloped in a light and awake floating in an endless void. It's calming there, and they are not afraid. But then, a strange gale blows, they panic, desperately try to swim to one another. Their hearts were full of fear that the other will disappear. Another wind blows and soon they are separated even further. The wind currents are strong, hitting both with an overwhelming force that cause them to nearly lose consciousness. In a desperate attempt before they black out, they try once more to reach out to each other, hand to hand, trying to hold on. They make it, they share their hold and try with all their might to pull closer together. But it's too late, they remember no more.
.
"Feel it as my own."
He still remembers though, the last moment they were together. He remembers their last time holding hands. He remembers the look in his eyes before he blacked out. He remembers, his brother is no longer with him.
.
"We are..."
A boy with a transparent body comes close to him. This is the first time he's seen someone different from the rest. He had been aimlessly floating in this great expanse for who knows how long with none but the same stars like him. He cannot speak his own mind, the same thoughts that he is no longer with his brother play over and over again like a broken record. The boy's mouth frowns and his expression saddens. Does he know? Does he understand the feeling? Can he hear these lingering thoughts? The boy closes his eyes, his expression thoughtful.
Then, he speaks, "No matter how far away you are from that person, whether a little distance or worlds apart, they're always with you in your heart. You have to believe."
Then the boy leaves, going who knows where next. Now for the first time in a long while, he thinks other thoughts. He ponders on those words and starts to believe. He's not together with him now, but one day, he and Ingo will be reunited again. For now, he waits here, believing they will be reunited someday. And no matter how far away, no matter how great the distance, in their hearts they are and will be...
.
"...always together."
.
END

- Battle Subway
I've been advancing through PLA recently and I finally got up to the part with Ingo. I haven't seen him since Black & White Series / Best Wish Anime, I don't remember if I battled them in the subway, but I remember going to the subway a lot in the game. Never finished B2W2 though, only B&W. ANYWAY, I also have been going through Kingdom Hearts stuff for inspiration for my other story, and one quote stuck out to me from KH III. So that inspired this Story, Quote Fic? I'm not what to call it.
I mostly thought, what if Ingo & Emmet were suppose to be together in the past but got separated. So if that happened, where did Emmet end up? This is an answer. NOT THE answer, just an answer, the world of ocean and sky... I understand, it doesn't make much sense unless you've seen gameplay or played KHIII yourself. For those who haven't, spoiler warning in the brackets.
*[SPOILERS HERE KHIII MENTIONED AGAIN: Emmet's in the Final World after getting separated from Ingo in the void. A final resting place for hearts who persist and wait. But on a rare occasion, is a temporary spot for someone who is displaced.]
There's got to be so many mistakes I missed, but I just wanted to share it as is, these messy thoughts for this story. I don't know how much it makes sense, but I hope it was readable. Any thoughts of your own on this idea? If you like it and want to try expanding it in your own fanfic, I say go for it! Just let me know, cause I'd like to read you take on this idea.
So that's it! Thanks for reading!
