September 11th, 2001, 8:43 AM

Ashley knew what was coming.

She was expecting to be on the flight that crashed into whichever tower they were in, but they were in the first tower to be hit. She kept looking for the airplane, an American Airlines Flight 11, that was expected to be hitting the Trade Center anytime.

Petey, meanwhile, was seemingly calm about the entire ordeal.

"Sis, relax, we've got time," Her brother responded, but soon regretted it.

A large crash engulfed the building, which was felt by the remaining Dimension Travelers, which felt odd, knowing the 20 year time difference.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" Isabella shouted over the panicking students. "BEATS ME!" Gavin shouted back.

Janna continued to look for the source, and found it eventually, an evil grin beginning to take shape.

"Prepare yourselves," She announced for everyone to hear. Sarah, Dog Man, Chief, and everyone in the city could hear and see what she meant from all over town.

Ashley and Petey raced for their lives, racing in the crowd of people who refused to escape losing limbs or even not even escaping. All they cared about was getting out of the building.

Alive.

The whole time, Ashley kept checking the time. 10:28 was drawing closer, but if they were lucky, they'd be able to escape within a few minutes. If she could just-

"HOLY CRAP THE ROOFS FALLING!"

A woman screaming jumped her out of her thoughts, and what she said made her stomach sink.

Both siblings looked up, and she was right.

The building's roof was falling.

"OH SHIT!" Both siblings screamed, racing for the nearest way out. Ashley desperately searched through her bag for a grappling hook, but wasn't having much luck.

"Hurry up sis!" Her brother exclaimed.

"Gotcha!" She shouted, pulling their safe escape weapon out of her bag and shooting it out through a nearby window. She grappled them to a seemingly unharmed building, where they watched the tragedy unfold before them.

"We gotta get outta here somehow," Petey said, looking around. Ashley kept her glances at her watch, and the sky, thinking there would be a portal in the sky.

Within a few hours, she spotted a blueish/purplish portal, sitting in an alleyway. "There it is!" She exclaimed, racing to a nearby ladder, with her brother close behind.

"Is this the last disaster we have to face?" Petey asked, taking his sisters hand.

"I hope," Ashley said, jumping into the portal with her brother.

Janna was losing it. She had begun to spiral into a deep set of madness, and accidentally got the cops into the building, letting the kids escape. This made her even more upset, but getting Li'l Petey, August, and Abbi was something that made her happier.

This scared the trio. They backed up against the back of the cages, holding onto Li'l Petey's arms like they were life support.

"Alrighty, cat," Janna snapped, pointing straight at Li'l Petey. "Where's your father and aunt?"

Li'l Petey froze, refusing to answer. "I said it before, and I'll say it again. I'm not telling!" He snapped back.

Janna growled. It was a huge setback in her plan.

"Fine then. We're doing this the hard way!" She said, snatching a scroll from a nearby table, only for it to be shot out of her hands with something familiar to everyone in the room.

One of Ashley's arrows.

The scroll landed in the hands of Sarah, who had arrived with Dog Man, Chief, Petey, and Ashley.

"Not so fast, Janna Mou," Ashley said, twirling another arrow in one hand, and holding her crossbow in the other. "This isn't over yet!"

Janna stopped. She knew how big of a setback this was.

And she knew just how to fix it.

She reached for the arrow in front of her, aimed it carefully, and tossed it right at the scroll in Sarah's hands.

"Sarah, DUCK!" Everyone screamed, snapping the red-headed woman into reality. She slid out of the way just before the arrow could hit her or the scroll.

By this time, Dog Man and Ashley had reached the cage holding the frightened trio of children. Down below, Chief was getting annoyed.

"Alright Ms. Mou, we're all getting tired of this," He stated, pulling out handcuffs. "Now come down with your hands up so we can all go home!" He demanded.

Janna thought for a moment. If she surrendered, Ashley would win, and she wouldn't prove she was smarter than the blonde teenager in the math finals.

All of this for a victory in the math finals? Was it even work it?

She glanced at her enemy, and back at the scroll.

She sighed. "Alright, I'll reverse the effects of destroying the Constitution. But I won't come quietly," She declared, pressing a button, which made everything go back to normal.

"Now come down here so we can all go home," Chief stated. Janna stared at him, and spoke one simple word.

"Never."

And with that, she tossed down a smoke bomb, filling the room with red smoke. When the smoke cleared, she was gone.

"Janna Mou never changes," Ashley muttered, watching the entire ordeal. "Hey bright side, we're not stuck under British control!" Abbi said.

"Good point!" Dog Man laughed. Ashley looked annoyed and rolled her eyes, while everyone else went to a different subject.

At last, everything was back to normal.
