Hey! This is my collection of stories about characters all from the game SINoALICE. I do try to stay as close as I can to the source material to make somewhat believable interconnecting short stories that seem believable in the world of Library, SINoALICE's setting. I try to give insight to characters based on the chapter stories, so I do hope you enjoy what I have written. (Personally, my favorite stories are those that include Hansel & Gretel/Delusion, so I do hope you check those out if you're just looking to skim about them). My schedule is pretty sporadic, but I do feel confident that I deliver every time I update these chapters.

Please enjoy:

SINoALICE Side Stories

"I just want to... sleep"

"You can sleep when this is all over"

"When will this be over..."

"Whenever you decide it should be over"

"I want it to be... over now"

"What will you do?"

"They woke me up... they get… the death penalty..."

A tired voice, one of a young girl, is drowned out by numerous screams of pain coming from around her. The sounds of dying nightmares, the monsters responsible for waking poor, Little Briar Rose from her slumber

A curse from a sorceress, but a blessing to the child

A chance to sleep, to rest, to dream in her world.

In her mind, she thinks only of her selfish authors, the ones who decided her rest would last only 100 years. A number that fell short of what Little Briar Rose wanted.

Behind stumbling Briar Rose, a pair of shadows followed close by. Small shadows, no bigger than a person's head, were floating in the air, twisting and moving their limp limbs in frustration

"She must know where to find her author, right Parrah?"

The figure to the right of Briar Rose, Parrah, a red-eyed, white-haired female puppet with a pair of butterfly-like wings, and mismatching limbs wearing a short white dress stiffly turned her head and opened her mouth to reveal an empty void, then responded

"Of course Noya, if we are here, it's because she wants to find him!"

Noya, the figure opposite Parrah, also with a pair of red eyes, wings, and mismatching limbs shook its head, ruffing up its own short, wavy white hair. He wore a pair of dark gray trousers and a white sleeveless button-up vest, which gave him a boyish look. His mouth, too, opened as he spoke, spitting out words from what seemed to be home to darkness itself

"Well, Little Briar Rose, do you want to find your author!?"

Little Briar Rose took in a deep breath and yawned out loud. As she walked forward, thorny vines on the ground moved the corpses of the assorted beasts that they killed after the young princess had been woken up, tossing them back into the forest they came from

The poor girl was angriest when she was awoken. She had been given such a lovely gift, but those annoying nightmares didn't let her enjoy it to its fullest. Of course, it was partly her fault for being in the world of the Library, but what sort of monster would wake such a lovely girl from her sleep, let alone try to kill her as she lay alone, happily living in a world of dreams all on her own. It was simply not right, and for that reason, the death sentence had to be enforced on all those who dared wake Little Briar Rose

Those puppets too were preventing the princess from going back to sleep, they were being a nuisance, they should be treated the same as the nightmares that wanted to defile the girl's sleep. As a response to those thoughts, the thorny vines grew up above the girl and attempted to grab the puppets held up by stings that rose to the sky, only to be dodged effortlessly. The girl yawned, and sighed, aware of what had just happened, but was simply too tired to command the vines to continue.

"Ahh… if I find my author, will I… finally be able to sleep?"

"Yes," said Parrah

"But of course," said Noya

"He can make me… A world where I sleep… forever?"

"But those pesky nightmares keep trying to stop you!"

"You'll have to kill every last one getting in the way!"

Of course, they would stop her, they had been trying to stop her for as long as she could remember. She still remembered all those annoying princes that tried to disturb her from her sleep, and how the beautiful briars around her castle were not enough to keep out that single, detestable prince that had the nerve to kiss her. She had been so enraged, she commanded the briars to carry him out of the castle, and shred him slowly until the light disappeared from his eyes. Within the time of her hundred-year sleep, no other death was as satisfying to her as his

"If they try… to wake me up…" Little Briar Rose struggled to say, rubbing her eyes, "then it will be the death..."

"..."

The two puppets stared at one another, trying to understand whether they should laugh or sigh at what they had just witnessed; a young girl falling asleep in a pole of moving, thorny shrubs in the middle of speaking

"She stopped mid-sentence"

"It is her sin after all"

"Zzz..."

"Parrah?"

"Noya"

"She fell asleep"

"But her thorns are moving her"

Indeed, though the little girl was fast asleep, rather than collapse on the ground, a large grouping of thorn bushes grew from under her, twisting and writhing about while moving forward deeper into the forest. Little Briar Rose seemed accustomed to that unique bedding for despite the thorns scratching her back would not even flinch, as though this were normal for her

"She is on the right path?"

"She is walking down a path"

"And what of the others?"

"They are all walking a path"

"A path to meet their authors"

"A path to resurrect their authors"

"A path paved by Justice"

"A path paved by Violence"

"A path paved by-"

"Zzz..."

"..."

"..."

"I don't care… who it is…" The languorous princess muttered, "wake me up… and I'll deliver the death sentence…"

"Parrah?"

"Noya?"

"She can walk her path"

"We pave the next one"

The two puppets were pulled up, and vanished into nothing, leaving only Little Briar Rose and the thorny bush carrying her along into the forest; into the forest where a hungry wolf once lived
