Chapter 1 - The Little Troublemaker.

Tonight's performance was a disaster.

'I can not believe that stupid-ass bear malfunctioned on stage right before MY solo.'

Thought a VERY pissed-off Roxanne Wolf as she entered her room.

Roxy looked over her room, it was shining in purple, filled with her own merchandise and race-themed decorations.

The robot threw her keytar instrument into the large white couch in the room, taking a seat on it right after.

Roxanne huffed and buried her face in her hands.

"Ugh, this is so embarrassing... The way everyone was looking at us... All disappointed... God, I hate that fucking bear!"

Roxy leaned her back on her couch, sighing.

'Calm down, Roxy... It was just a malfunction, it was not his fault...'

She looked up at the room's ceiling.

'I'm overthinking again... I just need something to distract my mind.'

Roxy looked at her star-shaped mirror for a few seconds, then she got up and walked over to it.

She stared deeply at her reflection, her golden eyes gazing back at her.

"Your performance was perfect tonight!" She says confidently to her reflection, giving herself a pep talk was the only thing she could think of at that moment, the only thing she could think to calm her thoughts down. This habit usually gave her weird looks from customers and employees, but she didn't care, even if she didn't fully comprehend why this habit calmed her down.

"Thank you... Your hair is beautiful. Your tail is beautiful. Everyone was watching you, everyone wants to be you! You are the b-"

Her pep talk was suddenly interrupted by the sound of her door opening.

"Ugh! get out of my r-, Chica?!" Roxy looked to the side to face her fellow bandmate Glamrock Chica, the band's guitarist. Chica stepped inside Roxanne's room.

"Chica? Are you okay?" Roxy asked with concern.

The chicken animatronic had both of her hands on her head, gripping it tightly as if she was going through a terrible headache. Her face showed a painful expression, Roxy could also notice a bit of shivering on her body.

"H-hi Roxipoo... Do you know if any technician is around here?" Chica asked, her voice sounding a lot quieter than usual.

"No... They all work during the day shift, the only person around here right now should be Vanessa... But why? What's wrong with you?"

"My... My head feels weird, I'm feeling dizzy... There's something wrong with me... Ugh"

Roxy crossed her arms. "You... You haven't been eating trash again, have you?"

Chica widened her eyes as if she was extremely offended.

"W-what?! No! Of course not! You know I have stopped doing that! I have been... getting good at controlling myself!"

"Jeez, okay I'm sorry, just askin..." For a moment, Roxy had forgotten how delicate that topic was for Chica.

"Anyways... Aren't you feeling anything strange? Monty said he is feeling it too..."

"Nope..." Roxy looked over her body. "I'm 100% fine."

"Hmm... Good for you..." Chica said while stepping out of Roxanne's room, but stopping herself right at the door.

"Oh, Roxy... One more thing."

"What?" Roxy said while placing a hand on her hips.

"Have you seen any kid running around the Pizzaplex? A young boy?"

Roxy raised a brow. "A kid? No... It's closing time, there are no more customers here, what are you on about?"

"I just... Received an alert saying that a kid was lurking around after hours... You didn't receive anything?"

Roxy shook her head.

"Oh... Okay... Anyways, alert me if you see anything." Chica said while leaving the room, the door shut down as soon as she stepped out.

'Why is she acting so weird?'

Roxanne was about to go back to her mirror when her heightened senses picked up a strange sound coming from somewhere in her room. It sounded like heavy breathing.

Roxy narrowed her eyes.

"Hey! Who's there?! Show yourself! Now!" She yelled in a warning tone.

She followed the sound through her room, leading her to a corner, behind her couch. She quickly moved the couch aside and showed her claws.

"There you are!"

But she quickly stopped herself at the sight of the intruder in her room, a small boy, curled up in one of the room's corners, facing the floor, hugging his knees.

Roxanne slowly calmed down and lowered her claws. She observed the boy for a moment.

The boy had black curly hair and used glasses. His black and red striped sweater and simple black pants were covered in dust and dirt, the colors on his sweater reminded her of her colors.

"Well, well, well... Look what I found, you must be the little troublemaker Chica was talking about huh."

The boy slowly raised his head, looking at her with pure fear and panic.

Roxanne was confused about why a kid was still inside the mall during closing hours, and why he was inside her room. She assumed the kid probably sneaked inside in hopes of seeing her, she grinned at the thought.

"Kid, if you wanted an autograph or something you should have come in during the day! You got guts, my dude, by breaking in only to see your favorite." She said the last part proudly.

"Got a name, punk?" She asked, trying to maintain a tough attitude towards the small intruder.

But the boy only stared up at her in silence.

Roxy knelt down at his eye level. "Hmm, shy kid huh? It's okay, I always preferred the quiet ones over the loud and annoying kids." She said with a smile. That's when she noticed something strange, the kid was shaking, which made her a little worried, she leered closer and was about to place a hand on his shoulders. "Hey, are you okay?-"

The boy flinched and instantly backed away into the room's corner.

"P-please, stay a-away from me..." He barely muttered out. "I'm s-sorry for invading your room, but please don't h-hurt me."

Roxy's eyes widened, she was both shocked and confused by the boy's reaction. That's not the way customers and fans normally acted around her. After taking a good look at the boy's face, her programming instantly warned her of his extremely high distress levels, the kid was terrified and on the verge of a breakdown, and it was her duty to calm him down.

"What? Hurt you? Why in the world would I do that?" She said in a more soft voice, in an attempt to calm the boy down.

"Y-You're not mad at me?" He asked.

In a moment, it all made sense to her, he had probably witnessed her frustration with the performance earlier and got scared, along with her pep-talk...

'Damn, I really didn't make a good impression on him did I?'

"Oh, I scared ya, didn't I? Well... I'm sorry for that, I just got carried away for a moment."

Roxy raised her hands to show the boy she was not a threat. "See? I'm not gonna hurt ya."

The robot stood up and offered a hand to the boy. "You good now? What's your name?"

The boy nodded as he took Roxy's hand and stood up.

"J-Jack... My name's Jack."

"Jack huh? Well, nice to meet ya, Jack, Now tell me... What are you doing here so late at night? Your parents must be hella worried about you dummy!"

"Well... The reason I'm here is that..." Jack looked to the side nervously. "I... I think I was kidnapped..."

Roxy's eyes narrowed with her ears twitching. "What?! What do you mean?!" She crossed her arms.

"Well... I and my friend were enjoying our time here in the pizzaplex, when suddenly she disappeared! I-I went looking for her and... I saw someone..." Roxanne noticed his distress levels going high again. "And the next moment, I woke up in a dark room... I managed to escape and... She chased me! I-I'm sorry for invading your room, I just needed a place to hide..."

'That explains his current awful condition...' She thought to herself while sweeping off some of the dust in Jack's sweater. "If what you are saying is true, then we should notify the authorities as quickly as possible, stay still as I scan you okay?"

Jack nodded. Blue flashes of light came from the robot's eyes and quickly scanned him, after scanning was complete, her eyes widened a bit at the message she got.

"Scanning Complete.

Guest Profile: Unknown."

"Huh? That's weird, you don't seem to have a guest profile kid."

Jack raised a brow. "What? That's impossible! We did all the necessary registration! Wait..." Jack paused for a moment and placed a hand on his chin. "Did...Did she somehow get me out of the system? So no one would notice that I was gone?!"

That seemed impossible for Roxanne, the only ones allowed to access and change things on the system were employees like Engineers or High-security personnel...

"Hmm... You said you had a friend with you right? What's their name?"

"Sarah, her name is Sarah Williams," Jack answered.

"Sarah huh..." Roxy quickly searched through the guest's list for any 'Sarah Williams', but unfortunately, she didn't find any.

"Yup, she also doesn't have any guest profile, damn that sucks."

Jack sighed and looked down. "Oh god... What am I going to do..." He mumbled.

Roxy sighed and rolled her eyes. She really didn't want to handle this situation, she just wanted to enter her recharge station and rest for the day. She wasn't in a good mood because of the whole performance fiasco. Normally Vanessa would handle these kinds of situations, but she has been acting strangely these last couple of days, and Roxanne had no idea where she was. Both Chica and Monty were experiencing some weird malfunction and Freddy has been put into Lockdown. And of course, she couldn't simply let Jack alone in the Pizzaplex with a possible murder around...

"Well, I guess you are my problem now Jack..."

Roxy knelt to his level. "Don't worry kiddo, I can get ya out of here."

Jack looked at Roxy, his expression lighting up a little. "Really?"

"Yep, as long as you are with me, I won't let any punk hurt you, okay?"

Jack nodded.

"Well, now listen, I have a plan..." Jack stepped closer to hear Roxy's plan.

"I'll escort you to the main entrance before the place closes, then you go home and explain to your parents what happened, I'll stay here and find your friend." Roxy stood up. "Got it, kid?"

"...Yes..." She couldn't help notice a bit of hesitancy in his voice, the boy clearly had something wrong with her plan, she wanted to question him about it, but decided not to, maybe she was just overthinking things again.

"Also, thank you for helping me, Ms. Roxanne," Jack said, a bit more comfortable with her presence now.

"Jesus Christ, kid!" She said, holding back a laugh. "I know you are trying to be polite but there is no need for such formality! Just call me Roxy okay?"

"Oh, okay, I'm sorry Roxy." Said Jack, sounding apologetic.

"Nah it's okay kid, now let's get going, we don't have much time."

She said as she opened the room door. Jack followed close behind.

But before stepping out of the room, Roxy stopped herself and looked down at Jack.

"Hey, before we go, I have some questions..." She said.

"Oh, okay go ahead."

"First... How the heck did you get inside my room?" She asked, placing both of her hands on her hips.

Jack gulped, afraid she would get mad at him, he hesitantly pointed to the open vent in her wall.

"You used the ventilation system huh? Pretty sneaky, you must be pretty brave for crawling inside those dusty and dark tubes."

Jack silently huffed. 'Brave? Only if she knew how much of a coward I am...' He thought to himself.

"Second... Why my room exactly?"

"Huh?" The boy said, confused.

"You could have hidden in any of the other rooms, but you chose mine, why?"

Jack shrugged. "I don't know... It just seemed like the right choice."

Roxy grinned. "Well, I can assure you, Jack, you made the best choice." She said while stepping out of the room.

'That's what we'll see. ' Jack thought to himself before also stepping out of the room, following Roxanne.
