With the invasion force

Wyvern rider lord Vartus Em Lynder felt the winds rush through his hair. There had been close to no opposition from the defenders here, except for the local militia, which had killed legate Severus before fleeing. Now, they were holed up in a fortress made of glass and stone, but any attempt to storm the fortress resulted in heavy casualties. Many died of holes to the head, while Medicare in the small outpost they established reported that some had fragments of metal in them.

Then there was the sudden appearance of constructs. A few Balista of a sort appeared from the streets and began to fire at them. However, they did not last long before a few enchanted troll ogres bashed it up, at a heavy cost , as a century was entirely lost to these Balista constructs.

"My lord, there seems to be some sort of wyvern field down below, we must attack!" Yelled a wyvern rider, as they flew over a giant piece of land

"Tally ho, bogeys spotted." Said a Firehawk pilot, as a wing of Firehawks were quietly circling over the airfield. They were told a bunch of dragons were inbound to the airfield, and they could not afford to lose it, as their reputation as the lucky 13s of the rotating 3rd South African fighter corps would be lost.

"We're going in!" Yelled the Firehawk pilot, as all five of them, initiated a dive, waiting to get close to fire their air to air missiles. They had fought off other faster and heavier NOD aircraft, and frankly, a dragon never stood a chance.

"Look out!" Screamed a wyvern rider, as his wyvern was shredded.

"No, Augusta!" Yelled another, as beams of light flew from the mysterious wyverns that came from above.

"Impossible, they came from above the maximum height ceiling!"

"Not quite, fireballs, now!" Yelled Vartus, as the remaining wyverns turned around to fire a few fireballs at the mysterious wyvern.

it dodged most of them and took a fireball head-on.

"Hah, fools see, the wyvern always comes out-"immediately, the wyvern pilot who said that was shredded by a minimum onboard the Firehawk, which now bore a scorch mark.

"Scatter! The Calvary are on their own now." said the wyvern pilot, as the few of them scattered to the giant buildings of the nearby New Adana, hoping to lose the metal wyverns in the giant buildings.

Meanwhile, the cavalry on the ground saw nothing, save for bloodied chunks of some of the wyvern riders, but they had to press on, the wyvern field was in range.

"My lord, we are almost there, let us charge, please!'' yelled a cavalry trooper as two shadows appeared over them.

"A sun shadow? Impossible…" said the cavalry praefectus, as up in the sky, the two Kodiaks took up station. Stopping only for a moment before firing their guns.

A beam of light suddenly descended from the sky, as two Kodiaks in the sky began to fire their triple 24-inch guns, all equipped with lance rounds, began firing into their targets. The HE lance round, burrowed into the ground before exploding, causing swathes of the calvary to evaporate in an instant.

"What is this sorcery?" screamed a cavalry trooper, as they reached for the wyvern field, all they saw were beams of light appearing from the sky. Suddenly, towers began to fire beams of light at them, some firing rapidly, while others firing more slowly but with what seemed to be explosion magic.

"Fall back, fall back! We can't hold!" screamed the calvary decurion.

"Sir, the riders are retreating to the city, we can send all aircraft to support operations at New Adana!"

"Agreed, officer Gunther, all aircraft, scramble for New Adana!" yelled the airfield commander, colonel Anya, as aircraft from hammerhead offensive gunships to orcas and paladins, all took to the skies.

For Lieutenant Itami of the rotating sixth East Asian regiment, his few days off meant that he could finally rest and relax. He had been planning to go to the library in Granger district.

Well, that was, until there were evacuation orders, either bunker down in your house with the Tiberium emergency shelter mode, or make for the mass rapid transport systems and head to the administration district from there.

At first, it seemed like a hoax. After all, there had been a few years of peace, without a mention of NOD terror attacks or kain's rhetoric.

Well, the peace was then shattered by a marauding dragon that he saw spearing a civilian, while his mount grabbed another civilian and dropped her from a height, killing her instantly. Quickly running out, he saw at a nearby police box, a New Adana Police force officer firing his service Tauron revolver at a … dragon.

The dragon rider was knocked off his mount, but his heavy armour meant that the Tauron revolver did nothing.

"AD IMPORETEREM!" yelled the knight, charging with a sword, only for the officer to duck the swipes of his sword, before a loud bang sound came from behind him, as a 7.8 mm round penetrated his head, causing brain matter and blood to spill out from the front of the helmet.

"Officer, are you alright?" asked Lieutenant Itami, as he ran up, the Scavenged GD2 rifle from a dead officer in his hand.

``Yeah, I'm good, no time to lose, we have to head to the Administration district, it's closer, and possibly more well defended." said the officer, as he reloaded his revolver.

Meanwhile, legate Marcus was in shock. First, some of the wyvern riders came back screaming of flying metal wyverns that shot beams of light and fire. Then, half of the remaining cavalry came back claiming that the flying metal wyverns were on their way here, and that half of their number were decimated by beams of light from two flying fortresses.

But there seemed to be good news from some of the other scout units, other than a bunch of folks holed up in a glass building that was now boarded up with steel, which would make it harder to take now. But most were heading to a giant walled district that probably functioned as their capital. If they could capture it…

" Ah, Legate Marcus, I am glad to see you have made much progress." said Senator Lucas Co lycus, a known war hawk who was also an incompetent one while he was at it.

"My lord, we recommend we make a push for the capital, when it has fallen, we can force their surrender."

"What nonsense, legate, split your forces, storm that glass fortress, the fools that built ?That must mean they have grown so fat and foolish that they can't build properly."

"Or they could be rich to the point that they can afford that much glass and squander it on a small fort."

"What was that!" yelled the offended senator, as another legate coughed and looked away.

"Come now, senator, he may have a point, I will lead the force to take the fortress," said Count formal, as another count rallied his men to move to the fortress.
