I don't really know where to start. There's so much to take in.
I live in a world where superheroes, supervillains, angels, demons, monsters, and every kind of fictional tale in the books exist. Like, I said, a lot to take in. However, I'll get straight to the point.
I live in Union City.
A city that resides in a country called Virtus, located somewhere next to Japan. It is known for its very popular academy, Union Academy. The city and its academy was known for being the capital of Heroes. Union City is also known for its innovations. There's so many that I can't even count. However, it's well known innovations is that they made flying cars available to the public and making bridges to other countries.
You could say that we live in a really peaceful society.
Well, that's where you are wrong.
You see, Union City as of now is also known for its really high crime rate. It happens too far often that the city atleast have fifty police stations in the city. Even heroes struggle with the crimes that happens left and right. However, thanks to the "High Council," the crime has been neutralised. Despite that, the crime still runs high.
You could think that the future is looking bleak for Union City. Well, it just gets worse from here.
In October Nineteenth, Two-Thousand-And-Nineteen, there was a sudden villain uprising. It was so sudden that barely anybody was prepared for it. Many people died that day. Way too many than people could think they can handle. People started to protest that a certain hero killer was right. Heroes are only existing for money and fame. They think that heroes don't care for the people.
The heroes tried hard to prove that they're wrong. Unfortunately, people are way too arrogant to listen. They started to destroy almost every statue of heroes that existed. The government struggled to stop but eventually stopped the protests.
The protests still happen to this day, but not that frequent.
I've always wanted to become a hero. I really do. The High Council, however, doesn't really trust just because of the way that I neutralise my enemies.
I don't have the heart to kill, of course. It's just the way I fight. It's understandable, honestly. However, if I let them go, they'll report to someone bigger and badder. Possibly more powerful than the high council.
You might be thinking: "Who are you? What are you doing in this... wretched place called Union City?"
...I am not sure if I have a vigilante name yet. However, they call me "The Batman." It's a really cool name, as the kids would say. For two years, I've been turned into this nocturnal animal. The Public is skeptical about me.
I can't be anywhere at all times. But, criminals would fear that I might be in the shadows. However, they forgot the fact that I AM the shadows.
Well, atleast, people know me.
I should get going now. Just one more thing.
When the signal hits the sky, it's not just a call.
It's a warning.
Somewhere In Union Academy...
"Bakugo, how many times did I tell you not to bully the new guy?"
"Why would you care? He has the lamest power we could ever imagine."
"Still! He has potential."
"Potential, my ass."
Izuku Midoriya, now known as the famous rookie hero, Deku, was arguing with his so-called "best friend," Bakugo, whose known as the "Great Explosion Murder God Dynamite."
"Hey," a new voice said. "Keep it down will ya? I'm trying to work here."
Izuku and Bakugo looked around. It was the Janitor, Bruce Wayne, mopping the floor.
"Bruce Wayne?" Izuku said, surprised to see the millionaire that's working as a janitor, of all jobs. "What are you doing here, as a janitor?"
Bruce Wayne was known as "The Prince Of Union City," due to him being the son of richest people of Union City. However, they died due to a gun shooting in an alley way. People would be really surprised to see The Prince Of Union City mopping the floor of Union Academy.
"Well, I felt like being nice today." Bruce said. "Can't just sit around in my mansion doing nothing but eating popcorn and watching TV."
"But, still!" Izuku said. "You can't just... do a job as little as a janitor!"
"Why are you in our Academy?" Bakugo said out loud. "Should you like... doing important businesses or something?"
"Don't worry," Bruce said. "Alfred can handle them."
They just stand there in awkward silence, not knowing what to say, except for the occasional sounds of Bruce's slightly sloppy mopping of the floor.
"...so uh," Izuku started to say. "Would you like to join our lunch?"
"That's nice of you, kid." Bruce said. "Yeah, I'll go. After I mop the floor."
"Nice, talk to you later, Mister Wayne!" Izuku said, as he turned around to get his lunch.
Bakugo looked at Bruce, whose really focused on mopping the floor. He scoffed, and went to Izuku where he's gonna get his lunch.
Thirty minutes of mopping the floor later...
After mopping the floors of Union Academy clean, Bruce went to the cafeteria for food. He got some looks, not because of oddity, but of suprise and awe.
"Isn't that sir Bruce Wayne?"
"What's he doing here as a janitor?"
"Can I get his autograph?"
Bruce was quite a celebrity in Union Academy. They didn't expect to see him here, as a janitor of all jobs they could think of. They thought he would be a Teacher or as a Principal Assistant. But no, he works as a Janitor.
He takes a look around, ignoring the looks he's getting. Until he sees Deku, a brown-haired girl with a pink suit, and a brown-haired boy with a Sacred Gear worn in his hand.
He went to that table, and sat there.
"Holy shit..." The brown haired boy said. "Are you Bruce Wayne? THE Bruce Wayne?"
"Yeah, I am, kid." Bruce answered.
"...can I have your autograph?" The boy requested Bruce.
"Sure thing," Bruce answered. "I just... need a pen and some paper."
The boy took out a pen and a paper, then handed it to him. Bruce grabbed it and started to sign his paper. The boy looked at it, smiling.
"So, Bruce-san," Izuku started to say. "What made you work here? As a janitor?"
"Out of boredom." Bruce answered.
"...so, this is Ochaco, my friend!" Deku started to introduce his friends.
"Hi! It is an honour to meet you, Mister Wayne." Ochaco said.
"And this is Issei Hyoudou!"
"It's a really, REALLY, big honour."
"Don't mention it."
A few hours later...
It is now time to go home.
Bruce started to clean the halls, like a Janitor always does. Unlike any janitor, the principal of Union Academy, Nezu, said he can come here anytime if he wants to so he can focus in his business, too.
Bruce Wayne owned a company called Wayne Industries, a very big company owned most subsidiaries anywhere in Virtus. He went to his motorbike and immediately went home.
It is now time to be him.
"We need someone to be a very good mayor, mister Rogers. Someone that could stop the high crime rate, along with The High Council."
...and applause from the audience.
Mister Rayne Rogers have been trying to succeed as a mayor in the later years. He has no hard feelings at losing, however. He looked at the TV for a moment and turned it off.
He went to get a drink until...
"AAAGGGHHHH!"
BASH!
Someone bashed the mayor's head with a carpet trimmer. Several times. He bashed the mayor so hard, the carpet trimmer was thrown.
The killer went to get the carpet trimmer, and went back to the body.
He exhaled very hard, and pulled out duct tape.
Heya, people!
So, yeah, this is my take on the Union Academy fics you keep seeing in Wattpad. Yeah, I know, it's bad. But, I promise you, this is better than the ones you typically see.
So, instead of (Y/N) or an OC, it's Bruce Wayne, AKA The Batman!
This is going to be based on the latest movie, but also has elements from the past adaptations.
Also, sorry if the end seems rushed. I was in a big hurry.
So, what do you think? Is it bad? Is it good? Leave it in the comments!
