AN: Hello my readers. Here I bring you a new story of my favorite dinosaur gang. At first, I had planned to do this story, but I put it aside due to lack of ideas, but thanks to 'Anonimosx' I was able to find the necessary inspiration to put this story on the list and now, here I bring it to you.
I don't own anything.
It all started on a quiet, sunny day in the city of Gardenia. In a store called 'Love & Pet' was the group of fairies known to all as the Winx. It had been a couple of weeks since their battle against the Wizards of the Black Circle and the fairies of Earth and now they were taking a little vacation in town before returning to their duties in the Magic Dimension.
Bloom was playing with the pets in the store, including her own, Stella had gone out for some shopping, Layla was reading a book, Musa was sitting on the side listening music with headphones, Flora was tending to a small plant and Tecna was in her room with the computer.
That's when they heard the bell on the door, a sign that someone had entered.
"Hello, girls." said Stella.
"Stella, you're back early today." said Bloom.
"Well, there wasn't as much new stuff as last time." said Stella.
"That's because you bought almost everything in the store." said Musa with a smile.
"And I don't deny it. By the way, on the way back here, I ran into someone." said Stella.
"With whom?" asked Flora curiously.
"With me." said Roxy entering the store.
"Hi, Roxy." said Bloom surprised and happy to see her friend.
"I thought you were working." said Layla.
"I was, but I was doing such a good job that they gave me the rest of the day off." said Roxy.
"Hey, now that we're all here, why don't we do something together?" asked Bloom.
"Sounds like a good idea." said Musa.
Just then, Tecna walked into the room with something in her hand.
"Oh, Tecna. You're just in time, we were just about to figure out what to do together." said Layla.
"I'm sorry, but I'll have to pass on that." said Tecna.
"Why?" asked Roxy.
"While I was on the computer, I got a call from Faragonda." said Tecna.
"And what did she want from you?" asked Bloom arching an eyebrow in confusion.
"She happened to be doing a general cleaning in Alfea's library when she found this book." said Tecna showing that what she was holding in her hand was an extremely old and somewhat worn book.
"What's with that book?" asked Flora.
"Apparently it is written in an encrypted language and since Faragonda will be busy for the next few days, she has asked me to translate it." said Tecna.
"And what would be so special about this book that she would ask you to translate it?" asked Stella.
"This book was in Alfea's library. Who knows what it might contain and Faragonda wants to know so she can decide whether to keep it, donate it, or throw it away." said Tecna.
"That would make sense." said Roxy.
"Are you sure you want to stay here and translate that book?" asked Bloom.
"Yeah, don't worry. If I'm lucky, I might have it translated by tonight. You can go without me." said Tecna, not wanting to spoil her friends' fun.
"Well, if that's what you want, it'll be fine with us." said Layla with a shrug.
"Have a good time." said Tecna.
"Thanks. Call us if you need help." said Musa.
Shortly after they got ready the girls left the store while Tecna stayed behind to translate the book the principal had given her.
The sun was already setting, the rest of the Winx and Roxy were heading back to the store after having a day of fun together, but, even though they may have been having fun, there were little moments when they felt sad that Tecna wasn't having fun with them.
"I still feel bad that Tecna didn't come with us." said Bloom.
"Oh, you worry too much. She said herself that she'd rather be translating that book than be with us." said Stella.
"I don't think she meant it that way." said Roxy.
"You're right, she probably wanted to hang out with us too, but she had something important to do." said Flora.
"After all, Faragonda asked her before anyone else." said Layla.
"Any of us would have done the same thing in her place." said Musa.
"Okay, that's fine. I guess you are right." said Stella.
Soon after, the group of fairies arrived at the store, where they saw Tecna at a table with the book and several papers around her.
"Oh, girls. You're back, did you have a good time?" asked Tecna.
"Yes, but it wasn't the same without you." said Bloom.
"By the way, how are you doing with the book?" asked Flora.
"Well, I haven't translated it completely, but I'm far enough along to figure out what it was about." said Tecna.
"Really? About what?" asked Layla.
"Apparently it's about the diary that belonged to someone who was part of a group of researchers." said Tecna.
"What was something like that doing in Alfea's library?" asked Stella.
"This book looks very old. It must have ended up there by chance." said Roxy.
"Maybe." said Tecna agreeing with the animal fairy.
"What else did you find in that diary?" asked Musa.
"Well, aside from the information I just told you, there's something that caught my eye." said Tecna, turning the pages of the diary.
"What is it?" asked Bloom as she and the others stood next to the tech fairy to get a closer look at what she was referring to.
"I'm not sure, it looks like some sort of enchantment, but I can't quite figure out what it means." said Tecna reaching to the page where said enchantment was.
"Could you translate it for us? Maybe we could understand what it means." said Bloom offering to help her friend.
"Good idea." said Tecna before clearing her throat and translating the enchantment. "From the land of the fourth age rises the ashes of the past times of ours. From these ashes rise the true world of the past and reveal our home before our experience. By the power and will of Talos and the paleontologists, I kiss you, open the door to our past lives and let us witness their greatness."
After reading that, the girls were confused about the enchantment they had just heard.
"Okay, what was that supposed to be?" asked Stella.
"I've never heard an enchantment like that in my life." said Flora.
"Is that what it said?" asked Bloom.
"Yes, I checked it several times before you arrived, that's exactly what it said in the diary." said Tecna.
"What do you think it will mean?" asked Musa.
"I don't know, but by mentioning about the world of the past, maybe it's a time-related enchantment." said Layla.
"Now that you mention it, it said something about paleontologists and times past. Maybe it refers to..." began Roxy having an idea of what the enchantment was referring to when suddenly they began to feel a breeze swirling through the tent.
"Ugh. Tecna, did you leave any windows open?" asked Stella.
"I didn't open any." said Tecna getting up while keeping a tight grip on the diary.
"What's going on?" asked Roxy with concern.
The winds began to get stronger and stronger to the point where several things began to be swept away by the wind, like a tornado.
"Girls, hold on!" shouted Bloom as the fairies gave each other a group hug.
At that moment, a light engulfed them completely and when it disappeared like a flash, the girls had vanished from the room and the wind was gone, causing the things it swept away to fall to the ground.
AN: So, what did you think of the beginning? I hope you like this story. See you later!
