We found ourselves in the Great Valley, a place where dinosaurs could live peacefully without worrying about the dangers outside the wall. Everything was peaceful and quiet.
Until suddenly, in the middle of a forest, a bright light formed and disappeared in less than a second, and where it appeared, there were the Winx and Roxy, still in their group hug.
Bloom opened her eyes and was confused as she looked around.
"Huh? Girls, look." said Bloom.
The group undid the hug and began to look around them in surprise and confusion.
"Where are we?" asked Layla.
"These plants are very different from any I've ever seen." said Flora looking at some leaves with the shape of a five-pointed star.
"My cell phone has no reception." said Musa trying to call with her cell phone.
"Girls, I don't think we're in Gardenia anymore." said Roxy.
"Look what happened because of that diary." said Stella to Tecna.
"Hey, I didn't know this would happen from reciting the enchantment." said Tecna raising her hands in defense.
"She's right. There's no use looking for the culprit. The first thing we have to do is figure out where we are." said Bloom.
At that moment, the girls felt the ground shaking.
"It's an earthquake?" asked Musa.
Then, Roxy turned her head back and what she saw shocked her.
"Girls, let's hide. Quickly." said Roxy.
Despite their doubts, the Winx heeded the animal fairy and quickly hid in some bushes and when they peeked out, they saw something that left them all open-mouthed.
The cause of the tremors was a long-necked dinosaur that walked through the area where they were and when it got far enough away, the girls came out of hiding.
"Was that what I think it was?" asked Bloom.
"Yes. That was a dinosaur." said Roxy very surprised.
"But I thought dinosaurs on Earth went extinct millions of years ago." said Layla.
"Well we just saw one alive and kicking." said Stella.
"How is that possible?" asked Musa.
"I think the enchantment must have transported us back in time." said Tecna.
"That was what I was going to comment on earlier. The enchantment talked about paleontologists, who are the scientists who study dinosaurs." said Roxy.
"Not to mention that it spoke of times from the past. I mean, a time before humans." said Flora.
"Tecna, does that diary mention a way back to our time?" asked Bloom.
"At the moment, I don't know. I haven't gotten as far as translating much of the diary, I'd have to keep translating it until I found the return enchantment." said Tecna looking through the journal.
"Great. We're trapped in a place full of huge, dangerous creatures, and our only way back is in a language we don't understand." said Stella sarcastically.
"Well, at least it's better than nothing." said Layla with a shrug.
"Yeah, we just have to wait for Tecna to translate the diary some more until we find what we're looking for." said Musa.
"Until then, it would be best if we kept a low profile. As Stella has said, we are in a very dangerous place and who knows what will happen if we run into any dinosaurs." said Roxy.
"Good idea." said Flora.
The group of fairies decided to stand where they were to avoid trouble until they found a way back.
Meanwhile, nearby, there was the gang strolling leisurely through the valley.
"Bah. I'm bored. How about we play a game?" asked Cera, stopping along with the others to talk about it.
"Good idea, but what could we play?" asked Littlefoot.
"Oh, I know. I know. We could play in the pond." said Ducky.
"But we already did that yesterday. What if we played with a rock and rolled it between us?" asked Chomper.
"We could go to the caves to explore, because the caves are a good place we could go exploring." said Ruby.
"Or play with rolling logs. That game lot of fun." said Petrie.
"Those of us on all four legs can't play that. It has to be something we can all play together." said Littlefoot.
While the six of them were discussing what to play, Spike caught a scent and started walking away from the gang without anyone noticing.
The fairies were still in the same place where they appeared, patiently waiting for the technology fairy to find a way for them to return home, but so far, she found nothing.
"Tecna, you still haven't found anything? You've been staring at that diary for hours." said Musa.
"I'm doing what I can. This isn't like translating a foreign language from earth, this encryption system is a bit tricky if you don't get the hang of it." said Tecna.
"I just hope nothing bad happens in the meantime." said Roxy.
Just then, they heard some nearby bushes rustling, signaling that something or someone was approaching.
"You had to mention it." said Stella as she and the others stood up looking in the direction of the noise.
"Brace yourselves, girls. We don't know what it could be." said Bloom before the group of fairies prepared to cast spells in case it was something dangerous.
But then, Spike stepped out from the bushes, causing the girls to relax, but also be caught off guard in confusion.
Spike and the girls just stared at each other before the spiketail started walking towards them. The girls were a bit confused about what he was going to do and even more so when Spike walked past them and walked to the object of his interest, a bush that he began to eat.
"Okay. I didn't see that coming." said Layla.
"Aw, he's so cute." said Flora before walking over to Spike, kneeling beside him, and stroking his back. "You were just hungry, weren't you?" asked Flora, receiving a nod from the spiketail before continuing with his meal.
"Spike! Where are you, Spike?" asked a childish female voice, startling the girls.
"What? Aren't there supposed to be no humans at this point in time?" asked Musa.
"And there aren't." replied Bloom.
"Spike, I've told you a thousand times there aren't..." began Ducky as she emerged from the bushes in search of her little brother, only to freeze when she saw the fairies.
Needless to say, the girls were also paralyzed after discovering where the voice was coming from.
Stella rubbed a finger over her ear.
"Uh... Girls, are my ears deceiving me or did that cute little creature just speak?" asked Stella.
"I heard her too and not just because I talk to animals." said Roxy just as surprised.
"Ducky, what are you...?" asked Littlefoot as he and the others also emerged from the bushes, standing transfixed at the sight of the humans.
The previously awkward situation had become even more so now that the gang had encountered the Winx. The funny thing was that Spike was all the while eating as if nothing was happening.
"I think we'd better say something." whispered Tecna to Bloom.
"You're right." whispered Bloom before taking a couple of steps forward and kneeling down to be level with the gang. "D-don't worry. We mean you no harm." said Bloom trying to ease the tension of the situation.
"Oh yeah? And how do you expect us to believe that?" asked Cera suspiciously.
"I believe they're telling the truth. Otherwise, Spike wouldn't be so calm with them. No, no, no." said Ducky.
"So your name is Spike, huh?" asked Flora to the spiketail who responded with a nod before joining the others as he was done with the bush he was eating.
"So you have names." said Roxy.
"Well of course, it wouldn't be us if we didn't have names. Without them we wouldn't be us." said Ruby.
"So what are they?" asked Layla.
"I'm Littlefoot and these are my friends, Cera, Ducky, Petrie, Spike, Chomper and Ruby." said Littlefoot introducing his group.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Bloom and these are my friends, Stella, Layla, Musa, Flora, Roxy and Tecna." said Bloom introducing her group.
"Nice to meet you." said Littlefoot, seeing that they weren't really bad.
"But what are you supposed to be?" asked Chomper.
"Me never seen creatures like you." said Petrie.
"We are humans." said Flora.
"Humans? I've never heard of creatures by that name." said Cera.
"That's because we're not from here." said Tecna.
"Though it doesn't refer to this place precisely or somewhere, but of this world." said Stella.
"What do you mean?" asked Littlefoot.
"Well, that we come from the future." said Roxy.
"I know it may sound crazy, but it's the truth." said Layla.
"Really? That's amazing! Yep, yep, yep!" said Ducky.
"You really believe it?" asked Bloom.
"Well, you wouldn't have any reason to lie to us with something like that, would you?" asked Chomper.
"Fair point." said Roxy.
"But if you're from the future, what are you doing here?" asked Cera.
"Let's just say our genie came up with the idea to read a magic enchantment which surprisingly, teleported us here." said Stella pointing her thumb at Tecna who looked at her with a frown.
"Wait, you know how to do magic?" asked Littlefoot curiously.
"Well..." began Bloom before making a small flame in her hand. "Yes, we can make it." said Bloom with a smile, leaving the gang open-mouthed at the demonstration.
"Wow, that's awesome!" exclaimed Littlefoot in awe and excitement.
"Do all humans know how do magic too?" asked Petrie.
"No, only special people can do magic." said Roxy.
"And people like us are known as fairies." said Stella.
"And what kind of magic do you do? Because if you are fairies, surely you have some kind of magic by being fairies." said Ruby.
"I am a fire fairy. I can create fire, as well as manipulate it in different ways." said Bloom causing the flame in her hand to mold into a bird that fluttered a little before disappearing.
"Wow. You have an amazing power." said Littlefoot.
"Thank you." said Bloom.
"I am a light fairy. I can create objects of light so bright they would blind you." said Stella creating in her hand a small sphere of light.
"Oh!" exclaimed the gang members looking in awe at the sphere, except for one.
"You only know how to do that? In my opinion, it's not that impressive." said Cera.
"Hey! I can do a lot more than that, you know?!" said Stella feeling offended by the threehorn's comment.
"I'm a morphix fairy." said Layla.
"What's this morphix stuff?" asked Ducky curiously.
"It's basically a liquid that I can create and mold to my liking." said Layla before creating a bubble of morphix. "You see?" asked Layla.
"Oh, it's an amazing magic. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky.
"Thank you." said Layla with a smile and undoing the bubble.
"I am a music fairy. I can throw sound waves that can hit the target as well as deafen anyone." said Musa.
"That not be same as screaming?" asked Petrie curiously.
"No. Music is much better." said Musa with a wink.
"I am a nature fairy. I can manipulate plants and also make them grow wherever I want." said Flora making a small plant grow in front of the gang.
Spike wasted no time in lunging towards the plant and devouring it.
"Hihi. Spike loves your magic." said Ducky.
"It seems so, although I wish it wasn't that way." said Flora.
"I am an animal fairy. I possess the ability to talk to them." said Roxy.
"But you're talking to us." commented Chomper.
"I know, but there are animals that don't have the same ability to talk as you and no one can understand them except me." said Roxy.
"And I'm a technology fairy." said Tecna.
"What's that about technology?" asked Ruby.
"It's the science of the future. My magic is based on the digital energy that technology generates." said Tecna.
"That sounds very confusing, because that whole technology thing sounds very confusing." said Ruby.
"I can guess." said Tecna.
"We don't just have powers. We also have the ability to transform into fairies." said Stella.
"You mentioned that before, but what is a fairy?" asked Littlefoot.
"They are magical creatures that look human like us, but with wings." said Bloom.
"Oh, if you have wings, does that mean you can fly?" asked Petrie.
"Yes, and we're pretty good." said Musa, crossing her arms.
"And you don't have a way to get back to your future?" asked Cera.
"Well, there may be, but this diary is written in an encrypted language and it would take me time to decipher it until I find the enchantment that will return us to our time." said Tecna.
"And until then, I'm afraid we're going to be here for quite a while." said Layla.
"By the way, can you tell us exactly where we are?" asked Flora.
"You're in the Great Valley. A place where we leaf eaters can be safe from the dangers of the Mysterious Beyond." explained Littlefoot.
"Oh, so this place is like a nature preserve." said Bloom.
"Wait, you said leaf eaters can be safe, but clearly Chomper is a predator." said Roxy pointing to the sharptooth.
"That's because I'm special. I feed only on bugs, so they let me stay in the valley." said Chomper.
"So what you gonna do while you here?" asked Petrie.
"At the moment, we had thought hidden to avoid trouble." said Musa.
"Oh, you can't do that. No, no, no. The Great Valley is too beautiful to be hiding all the time." said Ducky.
"We don't have any problem with the place. It's just that we don't know if the other dinosaurs will welcome us the same way you will." said Layla.
"They may be right. If it had been my dad or any other grown-up who had found them, I'm sure there would have been panic." said Cera.
"Exactly. We don't want to cause you any trouble." said Roxy.
"But we can't leave you like this. Actually, you're not bad people." said Littlefoot.
"Thanks, but what else can we do?" asked Bloom.
"We could talk to the grown-ups." said Chomper.
"Yep, yep, yep. If we tell them you are good, they will accept you into the valley." said Ducky.
"Are you sure it will work?" asked Tecna.
"We'll have to try, because we won't know if it will work if we don't try." said Ruby.
"Well, since you're offering to help us, that's fine." said Flora.
"You stay here. We'll let you know when you can come." said Littlefoot before the gang left the area to warn everyone in the valley.
"You know? They remind me a little bit of us." said Bloom with a smile.
"I think so too." said Roxy.
It was a little difficult, but the gang managed to gather all the valley dinosaurs in the meeting area, under the explanation that they had made new friends and wanted them to meet them so they could let them stay in the Great Valley.
"I still can't believe we got together just for this." said Cera's father.
"Well, if the little ones have done all this, it's because they must be something important." said Littlefoot's grandmother.
"Go ahead, children, what do you have to tell us?" asked Littlefoot's grandfather.
"Well, we were together when we met some... visitors from the valley." said Littlefoot.
"Did you hear that? What's so special about a few simple visitors? We've had plenty of them already." said Cera's father.
"Well, yes, but they didn't intend to come to our valley in the first place." said Chomper.
"What do you mean?" asked Tria.
"Let's just say that, due to an accident, they ended up here by causality." said Cera.
"And until they find a way back, they have no choice but to stay here for a while until they find a way back." said Ruby.
"And you expect us to accept visitors who claim to have arrived here by causality? That seems very suspicious to me." said Cera's father.
"But we've already met them and they're not bad. No, no, no." said Ducky with Spike nodding in agreement.
"Besides, Guido also appear same way and he not dangerous." said Petrie remembering how they met that glider.
"That's true. After all, he was the one who saved Tricia." said Tria.
"I think that before we make a decision, we should meet these visitors first." said Littlefoot's grandmother.
"Good idea, Grandma. Children, can you tell your new friends to come out?" asked Littlefoot's grandfather.
"Okay." said Littlefoot before turning his head to some bushes behind the gang. "It's okay, girls. You can come out."
At the longneck's signal, the fairies came out from the bushes and stood in front of the grown-up dinosaurs and needless to say, they were surprised to see some very strange creatures.
"Ugh. I'm used to getting attention, but being stared at like that makes me a little nervous." said Stella.
"Same here." said Musa.
"Mmm. Honestly, they don't look so bad to me now that I see them." said Tria.
"Although I admit I've never seen any creatures like them." said Ducky and Spike's mother.
"Listen, I know we just got here and you don't know anything about us, but we don't mean any harm." said Bloom.
"Exactly. We'll only be here until we know how to get back to our home." said Tecna.
"And how do we know you're telling the truth?" asked Cera's father suspiciously.
"Calm yourself, Mr. threehorns. If they say they come in peace, then we have to believe them." said Littlefoot's grandfather.
"Besides, our little ones trust them and we all know they don't usually do that with just anyone." said Littlefoot's grandmother confidently to her grandson.
"Mmm. Whatever. As long as they don't disturb the peace of our valley or endanger our little ones." said Cera's father.
"Believe us. That would be the last thing we would want." said Flora.
"In that case, we welcome you to our valley. I hope you enjoy your stay until you are able to return." said Littlefoot's grandfather.
"Thank you very much, sir." said Bloom.
"You know? From the way that old dinosaur talks, he reminds me a little of Faragonda." whispered Layla.
"I couldn't agree more. Although I think she's a lot older than he is." commented Stella quietly.
At Alfea, the fairy school, a certain principal let out a sneeze.
"A cold?" asked Griselda.
"No, but I have a feeling I'll be setting Stella double chores when I see her." said Faragonda.
"Why?" asked Griselda.
"Just a feeling." said Faragonda before going back to her homework.
Once the matter was settled, the older dinosaurs left the scene, leaving the gang and the fairies behind.
"Phew. Good thing it ended well. I felt like I was on trial." said Roxy.
"Guys, thank you so much for what you've done for us." said Bloom.
"You're welcome." said Littlefoot with a smile.
"You are good people and don't deserve to stay hidden when you are good people who don't deserve to stay hidden." said Ruby.
"Now that you are welcome to the Great Valley, what do you plan to do?" asked Cera.
"Well we were planning, at first, to stay hidden until Tecna found the enchantment to return." said Musa.
"But now that we can walk freely around here, we could go exploring." said Flora.
"Good idea." said Petrie.
"Hey, how about we tag along?" asked Chomper with an idea.
"Yep, yep, yep. We can show you all around our valley." said Ducky.
"Good idea, you would be our guides." said Layla.
"I'm interested in exploring a bit too." said Tecna.
"But shouldn't you translate that diary?" asked Stella.
"I can do it later, but I'll never get the chance to explore a place like this. Besides, I deserve it after missing your group outing." said Tecna.
"Sounds good to me." said Bloom agreeing with her friend.
"I can't wait to see all the creatures in the valley." said Roxy excitedly.
"Trust me, girls. You'll like being here." said Littlefoot.
