The sun rose from the horizon, illuminating the Great Valley with the light of a new day.

The Winx and Roxy had decided to set up a temporary camp for the night and thanks to Flora's magic, they had comfortable enough leaf hammocks to sleep peacefully through the night.

And when the sun rose high enough, the girls began to wake up.

"Good morning. Did you sleep well?" asked Bloom.

"Like a log. I didn't think sleeping in a hammock would be so comfortable." said Musa.

"Well, I did my best to make them that way." said Flora.

"You could have made a roof too. The sunlight won't let me sleep a while longer." said Stella turning to another side, trying to sleep.

"Come on, Stella. Since we're here, we should make the most of all the time we have left until we get back." said Roxy.

"By the way, Tecna, how's it going with the diary?" asked Layla.

"I think I'm getting close to something, but I'd have to make sure before confirming it." said Tecna.

"Well, if you want, you can stay and find it out. We'll go check on Littlefoot and the others." said Bloom.

"For being younger than us or even dinosaurs, they're fun to be with." said Flora.

"Same here." said Roxy.

"Are you coming with us, Stella?" asked Musa.

"What a remedy. I've already sleepless." said Stella getting up from her hammock.

"I'll come with you as soon as I find out more." said Tecna.

"Okay. We'll see you around." said Bloom as she and the others left to rejoin the gang while Tecna stayed behind to inspect the diary.

Later, around noon, the girls and the gang were playing a game of hide and seek, and although it was a childish game, the girls enjoyed it.

While the others were hiding, Chomper was using his nose to try to find them.

Sniffing around the ground like a dog, Chomper approached a couple of bushes.

"Ducky, Spike and Layla, I found you." said Chomper as the three mentioned came out from the bushes.

"You sure are good at sniffing out others." said Layla.

"That's why it's so much fun when Chomper is the one searching. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky.

Chomper kept sniffing around looking for the others.

But then, a couple of leaves fell near him and he turned his gaze upward.

"Petrie, Musa and Roxy, I found you." said Chomper looking at the three aforementioned standing on a branch.

"I knew hiding out here would be a bad idea." said Roxy.

"Me think same thing." said Petrie.

"We should have stayed on the ground." commented Musa.

Chomper started looking around for the others and stopped in front of a large rock.

"Bloom and Littlefoot, I found you too." said Chomper as the aforementioned came out from behind the rock.

"Hehe. This reminds me of my childhood. It's so much fun." said Bloom.

"We knew you would like it." said Littlefoot.

Chomper went back to sniffing the ground like a dog until he came to a pile of leaves lying on the ground.

"Cera, Ruby and Flora, I found you too." said Chomper as the three of them rose from under the pile of leaves.

"Phew. I thought that's how we'd fool him." said Flora.

"And I told you I already tried that once and it didn't work." said Cera.

"There's no way to fool Chomper's nose which is very good and since it's very good, there's no way to fool Chomper's nose." said Ruby.

"And Stella, I know you're behind that tree." said Chomper.

"How did you find me so easily?" asked Stella stepping out from behind the tree.

"I've been smelling a funny odor coming from you all day. That's why I knew from the start you were there." said Chomper.

The girls couldn't help but giggle slightly, as they understood what the sharptooth was referring to.

"It's called perfume and it's a very important thing for human girls. Especially when you're out in the wild." said Stella crossing her arms.

"Although we already told you it wasn't necessary." commented Musa.

"Girls!" the two groups turned their heads to the side to see Tecna running toward them with the hand holding the diary raised in the air. "Good news! I've figured it out!"

"You figured out how to get back to our time?" asked Roxy.

"Well, not exactly." said Tecna.

"And what's so good news about that?" asked Stella.

"What have you discovered exactly?" asked Littlefoot.

"Ruby, remember when I mentioned that it was weird that there was an enchantment that teleported us to this time?" asked Tecna.

"Yes, you said it was very suspicious that that enchantment was in that diary, in which was that enchantment that was very suspicious." said Ruby.

"Well, I've been researching ever since and have managed to translate enough of the diary to find out why." said Tecna.

"Really? What did you find out?" asked Bloom.

"It turns out that the diary belonged to a scientist. In it, he commented that he was in a group of scientists." said Tecna recounting what she discovered from the diary.

"What is a scientist?" asked Chomper.

"A person who is dedicated to studying or creating many things." said Flora.

"But that doesn't explain why he had that enchantment on it." said Musa.

"It turns out that the group of scientists was conducting secret tests and to do it, they conducted them in a place where no one would ever suspect." said Tecna.

"The age of the dinosaurs." said Roxy with surprise.

"Exactly. The enchantment was for him and his group to travel from our time to this one so they could conduct their research without worrying about anything." said Tecna.

"Wait a minute. You're saying that a group of humans came to our time before and have been doing things without us knowing?" asked Cera in surprise.

"That's just what she was saying." said Stella.

"But what were they investigating?" asked Ducky.

"I don't know, but from what I was able to translate, it looks like they had a hidden lab somewhere." said Tecna.

"Wait, if there's a lab, then that means there are probably people there." said Layla.

"And they could help us get back to our time." said Musa with a smile.

"Where be lab?" asked Petrie.

"Fortunately, I was able to find the coordinates and based on the location, I'd say the lab is in that direction." said Tecna pointing in a direction. "Beyond this place."

"That's the Mysterious Beyond." said Chomper.

"Well, now we know where we have to go." said Stella.

"And we'll go with you." said Littlefoot.

"You don't have to. We can go by ourselves." said Bloom.

"In case you don't know, the Mysterious Beyond isn't as much fun as our valley. There are sharpteeth all over the place among other dangerous things." said Cera.

"Oh, please. We've faced tougher things than giant reptiles." said Stella confidently.

"And besides, you said it yourself. There are dangers out there and we don't want you to get hurt." said Roxy.

"We don't want you to get hurt either. No, no, no." said Ducky.

Spike shook his head as a sign that he didn't want them to get hurt either.

"You're our friends and we wouldn't feel well if you went alone through territory you don't know." said Chomper.

"I think they're right. We may know which direction to go, but we don't know exactly what we might encounter along the way." said Layla.

"But still, are you sure you want to go with us?" asked Musa.

"We've been through the Mysterious Beyond many times before, so we know it very well, since we've been through there many times." said Ruby.

"What if we asked the adults?" asked Flora believing they would help them.

"Not helpful. Once, when Ducky kidnapped, grown-ups instead of doing something argued." said Petrie.

"We mean, you only have us." said Cera.

"She's right. We have no choice." said Tecna.

"All right. You can come with us, but you won't be separated from us at any time. You may have been through some difficult situations, but you are still children." said Bloom.

"That's fine as long as we can come with you." said Littlefoot agreeing to the terms.

"Shouldn't you let your parents know first?" asked Roxy.

"From what I've seen on the coordinates, it's not too far. If we leave now we should get there before it gets dark." said Tecna.

"So what are we waiting for? Let's get going." said Stella.

"Yes, let's go on an adventure." said Chomper.

With all said and done, the two groups quickly set off for the Mysterious Beyond, in search of the answer to their questions.

Before long, they were touring the caves in the great wall that surrounded the Great Valley.

"Are you sure this is the way to the outside?" asked Layla.

"Trust us, we've been here a long time and know every passage to the Mysterious Beyond and since we know every passage, you can trust us." said Ruby.

"Guys, I see the way out." said Ducky pointing ahead where they saw a light at the end of the tunnel.

"I never thought I would say this, but let's head for the light." said Stella as the two groups headed for the exit.

As they emerged from the great wall, the fairies got a view of the place that the gang considered dangerous, though to them, it looked very normal.

"Is this the Mysterious Beyond? It doesn't look so mysterious." said Musa.

"We'd better not get overconfident. If they've called it that, it must be for a reason." said Bloom.

"Now, which way do we have to go?" asked Littlefoot.

Tecna checked the diary, as well as the position of the sun, to figure out the location they should go to.

"That way." said Tecna pointing in a direction. "If we go straight in that direction, we should find the lab right away."

"Well we'd better get moving before they find us." said Cera.

"Who?" asked Roxy.

Suddenly, there was a beastly roar that startled both groups.

"Take them for example." said Chomper.

"S-S-S-Sharpteeth." said Petrie trembling with fear while Spike was trembling just the same.

"Take it easy, kids. We're with you. We just have to make sure we're not in the path of any predators." said Flora.

"I hope so." said Layla.

After that, the two groups set off to go the way the tech fairy pointed out.

For the next few hours, the gang and the fairies were traveling through the Mysterious Beyond in the direction Tecna pointed out.

They passed through rocky and wooded areas and, fortunately, so far they didn't spot any sharpteeth or danger, so it was a smooth ride.

"Ugh. Tecna, we've been walking for a long time. How much farther to that lab?" asked Cera.

"I agree with Cera. My feet are killing me from walking so much." said Stella.

"Hang in there a little longer. We're almost there, we just have to pass this group of trees and we'll get to our destination." said Tecna.

"The good thing about all this is that at least we didn't run into any of those sharpteeth." said Flora.

Suddenly, the two groups heard a loud roar followed by footsteps, indicating that something big and fierce was approaching, something that worried everyone.

"You had to curse it." said Musa.

"Quick, hide!" said Littlefoot as the two groups quickly hid behind a couple of rocks.

Peeking out a bit, they could see, emerging from between the trees, the one responsible for the roar and the footsteps and it was none other than a sharptooth known by the red scar that ran from his eye to his...

"Red Claw!" exclaimed Ruby fearfully and in a low voice so that she wouldn't be heard.

"Do you know him?" asked Tecna.

"Red Claw is the meanest sharptooth of them all. He's not only strong, but he's also smart." explained Chomper.

"We ran into him a few times and most of the time we didn't count it." said Cera.

Soon after, two familiar sharpteeth more came after the Tyrannosaurus.

"And who are those?" asked Layla.

"Those are Screech and Thud, a couple of fast biters who follow Red Claw and do his bidding." said Ducky.

"He certainly looks very dangerous if he has gotten those two raptors to obey him as their alpha." said Roxy.

"They almost remind me a bit of some of the bad guys we faced." commented Layla.

"What do we do? Do we fight them?" asked Musa.

"We didn't come here to fight, we came here to find that lab." said Bloom.

"She's right. The best thing to do in these cases is to get away from them as soon as possible before they discover us." said Littlefoot agreeing with his friend.

But just as they took a step, Spike accidentally stepped on a branch and the noise produced caught the attention of Red Claw and his minions.

"Oh no. They coming this way." said Petrie on the verge of panic.

"Don't worry. I have an idea to get rid of them." said Stella with an idea in mind.

Just as Red Claw and the two fast biters were a step away from their hiding place, Stella quickly stood up.

"Universe of Light!" shouted Stella creating a light so bright that it damaged the eyes of the three predators, causing them to roar in pain with their eyes closed before scurrying away from the scene.

Once the danger passed, the others came out of hiding.

"You were amazing, Stella! Yep, yep, yep!" said Ducky.

"I'll give you that. That was a neat trick." said Cera.

"Yes. That way, we got out of trouble without much effort." said Flora.

"You underestimate me too often." said Stella crossing her arms and smiling in pride.

"Guys, if you're done with that, we should move on before something else happens." said Tecna.

Wasting no time, the two groups walked back in the direction of where the lab was.

Their path led them all to a meadow in the middle of the forest.

"How much farther to go?" asked Flora.

"According to the diary, the lab should be... right here?" asked Tecna in confusion.

Hearing that, they looked around in search of the supposed lab, but there was nothing at all.

"I don't see anything." said Roxy.

"Maybe it's invisible and we can't see it because it's invisible." said Ruby.

"I don't believe it! We've been walking all that for nothing?" asked Stella indignant that the trip was in vain.

"I don't get it. There has to be some explanation for why the diary led us here." said Bloom.

"Like what? We've reached the place where the lab is, but there's nothing here." said Chomper.

"It's possible that it's hidden somewhere." said Littlefoot.

"And how do you hide a lab in the middle of a field in the middle of nowhere?" asked Layla.

"As long as it hasn't been swallowed up by the earth." said Cera.

Just then, Spike sat down on a rock to rest, but suddenly, the rock sank a little and the area began to shake.

"Earthshake!" shouted Petrie.

"It's not that. Look!" said Musa pointing straight ahead.

They all turned their gazes to the front to see the area sinking into a circular hole before opening in two, revealing a flight of stairs leading down to a doorway.

Once the process was complete, the earthquake stopped.

"Well apparently it was indeed hidden. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky.

"Of course it was. That's why no one could find the lab." said Tecna.

"Because it was hidden underground. Where no one would think to look." said Flora.

"Well, I guess it's time to go in there now." said Littlefoot.

"Yes and we'd better get ready. We don't know what might be in there." said Bloom.
