Carrying Littlefoot in her arms, Bloom went to an area they established as a meeting point and the spot they chose was the same one where they had their brief encounter as Red Claw.
Once there, they were waiting for the others to arrive, though there was a moment when they wished they were well, as elemental raptors weren't enemies to be underestimated.
"Here they come." said Littlefoot as the two saw coming through the air the rest of the fairies carrying their dinosaur friends.
"Are you all right?" asked Bloom.
"We are. Thanks to them." said Musa pointing to the gang.
"They may be small, but they've certainly been a big help." said Flora.
"It's just that without us, you wouldn't have made it." said Cera.
"That I can't deny." said Stella.
"Divided we may fall, but together we shall overcome where we may fall divided." said Ruby.
"That's what friends do. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky as Spike nodded.
"So, now that we defeated those creatures, there's only one thing left." said Roxy.
"The Ultimasaurus." said Tecna.
"But how you fight him?" asked Petrie.
"You mean, us. All of us." said Layla, to the surprise and confusion of the gang.
"Does that mean you'll let us help you?" asked Chomper.
"Well, of course we will. You've proven yourselves to be a great help." said Bloom.
"And as Ruby has said. If we work together, we can beat him." said Flora.
"That's exactly what I said." said Ruby.
"But how are we going to defeat that sharptooth? Remember that when you cast your magic, he was unaffected by it." said Cera.
"That's right, that creature is immune to our magical attacks. Nothing we throw at it will have any effect on it." said Musa.
"Then don't attack it." said Littlefoot drawing everyone's attention.
"What do you mean?" asked Ducky.
"That sharptooth is immune to magic, but he's not immune to what happens around him or any non-magical attacks." said Littlefoot.
"I think I'm starting to get it. For example, when Stella launched that light attack, the blinding glow affected him." said Tecna remembering the little battle they had in their first encounter with the hybrid.
"Which means, to defeat it, we just have to use nature and the environment to attack it." said Stella.
"That's a good idea." said Chomper.
"Alright, everyone. This is the plan." said Bloom gathering them all together to communicate the plan to take on the hybrid dinosaur.
Shortly after formulating the plan, the fairies found themselves carrying the dinosaurs as they flew quickly into the valley, looking for any clues to the Ultimasaurus' location.
"There he is!" shouted Petrie pointing ahead, where they could all see the Ultimasaurus walking near a cliff.
"Looks like it's halfway down." said Chomper.
"Good, that will give us a lot of advantage. Let's proceed with the plan." said Bloom before the fairies landed on the ground and left the gang to the side as they headed towards the hybrid dinosaur.
"Good luck!" shouted Littlefoot.
"Hey, big guy! Look over here! Morphix Wave!" shouted Layla shooting a magic beam that hit the hybrid's head and, as she expected, didn't affect him at all.
Because of this, the hybrid ignored her and continued on his way as if nothing.
"Let's see if you ignore this. Sun Dance!" shouted Stella shooting a sphere of magic in front of the hybrid, causing an explosion that forced him to stop.
That was enough to anger the Ultimasaurus, as he let out a mighty roar at the fairies.
"We have gotten his attention. Phase one, completed." said Tecna.
"Now comes the hard part." said Roxy.
The Ultimasaurus acted first trying to hit them with his spiked club, but the fairies dodged it.
"Stereo Crash!" shouted Musa emitting some sound waves that affected the Ultimasaurus as he began to roar in pain from the sound. "You were right. Magic doesn't affect him, but everything else does."
"Then this will affect him either. Summer Thunder!" shouted Flora shooting a magic beam into the ground which caused several roots to pop out of the ground and wrap themselves around the hybrid, causing him to fall to the ground.
"Way to go, girls!" exclaimed Bloom with glee.
But that was short-lived, because the Ultimasaurus used his claws and teeth to break the roots that wrapped around him and then used his paws to send a cloud of dust at the fairies, blocking their view.
"Hey, that's playing dirty!" said Stella wiping the dust from her eyes, as did the others.
The Ultimasaurus took advantage of that moment to hit some of them with his tail (Flora, Stella, and Musa), knocking them down in the process and then tried to attack the others with his claws, but they dodged it by the skin of their teeth.
"We have to be careful. He's smarter than he looks." said Layla.
"You two go help the others. I'll distract it. Fire Dragon!" shouted Bloom creating a fire dragon that she sent to fight the hybrid.
It was a battle of beasts, with the Ultimasaurus taking fiery bites from the dragon as he countered with scratches, bites, headbutts and pigtails.
By the time the seven fairies were ready again, the Ultimasaurus gave the dragon a pigtail that sent him crashing to the ground, unraveling shortly thereafter.
Before they could react, the Ultimasaurus lunged toward them and grabbed Bloom with one of his hands.
"Bloom!" cried the girls as they saw their friend turned hostage.
"Let her go, you monster! Wolf Talon!" shouted Roxy shooting a magic beam, but it didn't hurt him.
Taking advantage of the situation, the Ultimasaurus again attacked the fairies with his other hand, as well as his horns and tail. The fairies could only dodge the attacks, as their magical attacks had no effect and they didn't want to endanger their friend.
The gang, who had stood in a corner waiting for their moment to act, were horrified to see how the situation had worsened, but the one who was most horrified was Littlefoot.
"I have to go help her!" said Littlefoot before running off into battle, much to the horror of the others.
"Wait Littlefoot, it's too dangerous!" shouted Chomper.
"I'm sure they'll save her!" shouted Cera hoping to stop her friend.
"No! She needs me!" shouted Littlefoot as he ran over there.
Meanwhile, the girls kept trying to save their friend, but every time they tried to get close, the Ultimasaurus would try to attack them with his claws, tail, or head, making rescue difficult.
"We'll never get anywhere this way." commented Flora in frustration at not being able to save her friend.
"Hey, you!" the Ultimasaurus turned in the direction of the call to see Littlefoot. "Why don't you pick on someone your own size?" asked Littlefoot.
"Littlefoot, watch out!" shouted Bloom as the Ultimasaurus roared at the provocation and raised his tail to swat him, but the longneck moved out of the way in time.
Taking advantage of the fact that the tail was still on the ground, Littlefoot quickly climbed onto the tail and stood on the hybrid's back, causing him to roar in rage before trying to grab him with his free clawed hand, but Littlefoot quickly moved out of the way.
Wanting to grab him, the Ultimasaurus eventually let go of the fire fairy and tried to use both of his claws to grab him, but Littlefoot managed to avoid being grabbed. Finally, the Ultimasaurus decided to finish him off with his tail club and his teeth. Fortunately, Littlefoot noticed this and jumped off the hybrid's back, causing him to hit himself with his tail before biting his own tail, roaring profusely from the pain in the process.
"Uh. That's gotta hurt." said Musa.
Littlefoot was about to walk away when a shadow loomed over him and as he turned his head, he froze as he saw that the Ultimasaurus had raised one foot to crush him.
"Get away from him!" shouted Bloom shooting a magic beam that hit the ground under the hybrid's other foot, causing him to end up falling to the ground from the explosion.
"Now, kids!" shouted Tecna.
Without wasting a second, the rest of the gang came out with vines in their hands/mouths and quickly, taking advantage of him lying on the ground, wrapped the vines around his legs, claws and mouth. Then, with Flora's magic, the lianas were reinforced to be thick enough to be difficult to break.
"Morphix Net!" shouted Layla adding her morphix ropes to the mix to bind the hybrid's tail to his body to prevent him from using it to escape.
The Ultimasaurus began to flail wildly, trying to free himself from his bonds.
"They won't hold on for long!" said Stella.
"Then let's do it as soon as possible!" said Bloom.
The seven fairies gathered in a circle and began to channel their magic into the center of the circle, forming a sphere of magical energy.
"Believix Convergence!" the girls shouted as they hurled the magical sphere at the hybrid who was about to break free from his bonds.
The explosion caused by the impact was so powerful that because the hybrid was near the cliff, the ground gave way and the Ultimasaurus let out a roar as he fell to the bottom along with several debris from the ground.
By the time the shudder of the impact was heard, the roar ceased to be heard.
The fairies and the gang approached the edge and took a look at the bottom, where they saw Ultimasaurus under a pile of rocks.
"Do you think it's over?" asked Ducky curiously.
Roxy put her hands on her head as she concentrated on her magic.
"No. I don't feel anything from him. It's definitely over." said Roxy.
"I feel a little bad about ending a life like that, but I guess it's part of the cycle of life." said Flora.
"Besides, he was going to harm a lot our friends of the valley and now that he's gone, he won't be able to harm our friends of the valley." said Ruby.
"Not to mention those scientists created him to attack your world." said Cera.
"Littlefoot." said Bloom catching the eye of the longneck who saw her with her arms crossed and a very stern look on her face. "What you did was completely insane and stupid!" said Bloom scolding him like a mother.
Littlefoot lowered his head before suddenly Bloom bent down to give him a hug, much to the dinosaur's surprise.
"But still, thanks for saving me." said Bloom.
"You're welcome. And thanks to you too for saving me." said Littlefoot after getting rid of the hug.
"To tell you the truth, we couldn't have done it without you." said Tecna.
"You gave us the perfect opportunity to complete the last phase before delivering the final blow." said Stella.
"Yep, yep, yep. If it weren't for us, you never would have made that awesome attack." said Ducky.
"By way, what kind of attack that?" asked Petrie.
"It's called magical convergence. It's a spell that requires harmony between the participants to combine several magics to make a more powerful attack." explained Musa.
"If that's true, it shows that you are very close friends." said Littlefoot.
"You are also very close friends. If you were fairies, I'm sure you'd be able to perform your own convergence." said Bloom.
"Yes, that would be mind-blowing." said Chomper.
The two groups shared a small chuckle at that.
"So what do we do now?" asked Ruby.
"Well, now that the Ultimasaurus and those artificial creatures won't be causing trouble anymore, I suggest we go back to the valley to rest." said Tecna.
"Good idea. I could use a good rest after this." said Stella.
Spike let out a small yawn, causing Flora to chuckle.
"Looks like you're not the only one." said Flora.
"Then let's get going. If we take too long, your families will start to worry." said Roxy.
"That's true. The last thing I want is for my father to scold me for what we've done." commented Cera, causing the others to burst out laughing.
Now that everything was settled, the two groups proceeded back to the Great Valley. The lab may not have worked out for the girls in terms of finding a way back to their time, but they felt better knowing that the project they were doing there was gone forever.
They made a mental note to mention that to Faragonda so that they could eliminate that lab and the information it contained wouldn't fall into the wrong hands again.
AN: How did you like the fight against the Ultimasaurus? I repeat, if there has been any problem or failure in this chapter or the previous one, let me know. Soon, I will bring you the last chapter of this story. I won't say more. See you!
