A/N: Percy Jackson is dead. People are being interviewed, to see who killed Olympus' Hero. First up is Clarisse. Next is Annabeth.
"How well did you know Perseus Jackson?"
Clarisse shrugged, because how could she answer that. He was like an annoying brother to her, not that she would ever admit it aloud.
"Ma'am, I'm going to need verbal responses."
The daughter of Ares let out a deep sigh. This was going to be a long day, especially considering the circumstances.
So, she shrugged again, and tried to speak clearly for the recording device in the middle of the table. "Percy was like a brother to me, most times. He was like that older brother you went to for advice... he was for everyone. Except Annabeth, of course. He took over that role from Luke when he..."
She trailed off. Clarisse hadn't been close to Luke, but his betrayal - even years after - still stung.
"Do you know anyone with a grudge against Perseus Jackson?"
Again, she shrugged, and scowled when she noticed his use of Perseus. The first time, she thought it was for formalities, but if it wasn't...
Clarisse rolled her eyes when they cleared their throat.
"No, I don't," She told them. "Unless you want to count the thousand or so Greek monsters and Titans and Giants and Gods he's ticked off since he became aware of them."
"Were you aware that Perseus Jackson was found in the Ares Cabin?"
She shifted. "No," She murmured. "I wasn't."
"Are you lying?"
Clarisse nearly growled - why would she lie?
So, instead of answering with a verbal response she shook her head and leaned back in the chair she sat on, crossing her arms.
Whoever had killed Percy Jackson would regret it.
"How well did you know Perseus Jackson?"
"He's my fiance," Annabeth replied easily. "And his name is Percy."
"Do you know anyone with a grudge against Perseus Jackson?"
Annabeth shook her head, anger growing. "His name," She said slowly, deliberately. "Is Percy."
They ignored her, just like they had when she had found out of his 'death' - he couldn't be dead, he couldn't. He had promised he would stay with her, that he would never leave her.
Percy Jackson did not break his promises.
"Were you aware that Perseus Jackson was found in the Ares Cabin?"
Something in Annabeth's face shifted. You wouldn't be able to tell had you not known her, but her face changed slightly at the news.
"No," She murmured.
Slowly she stood up, backing away towards the door before they could ask the next question.
"Care to tell me where you are going?"
But she was already running, door parted to let in the fall breeze that wafted over camp.
Hey, so, um, I wrote this because I couldn't get the idea out of my head. I don't know who did kill Percy, but I can write a part two if enough people want it.
