Don't mess with a parent's feelings. Just don't.

Carmen was in a meeting with the guardian brothers and Lone Wolf for noon. They were picnicking on a roof, both heroes supposed to be at school. Since they could eat outside they seized this opportunity to discuss about what Ladyfox and her brother discovered the day before. Carmen of course didn't mention Cedric, as she normally wasn't supposed to know Furtileon's secret identity. Anyway, thanks to the message that Marri delivered, she'd been able to approximatively pinpoint Lord Butterfly's location. The question was when and how to act.

" You're not totally sure about his location, that could be a problem." pointed Hideo.

" Even so we need to be careful, as he could see us coming." made Lone Wolf before biting in a sandwich.

" I know, master Hideo but I did with what I could. Marri didn't exactly give a specific address." objected Carmen.

" I'm aware, sorry. You still did a good job, given that Marri probably doesn't know where he is." said Hideo.

" So how are we going to precisely unearth him ?" questioned Lone Wolf.

" Tracking an akuma is still a good idea to me." intervened Suhara.

" Okay. Perhaps you should get a miraculous too, at least you'll protect yourself in case he spots you." suggested Ladyfox.

" Normally he isn't supposed to possess a miraculous. Other guardians can, to master a rebellious bearer or help the guardian of the box." explained Hideo.

" Exceptional situation mean exceptional measures." pointed Lone Wolf.

" I thank you for your concern, but I'm capable of tracking it without detection. The goal is to ascertain where our enemy is." replied Suhara.

" Suit yourself." concluded Ladyfox and Lone Wolf.

They ended their conversation on this. The priority was to determine Butterfly's nest, then observe the place and his schedule, before elaborating a plan. The duo left their allies here, to turn back to their normal self and join school. Carmen joined Chase at their table with pleasure. Once this over, she wanted to have a chance with him. Once all danger removed.

" Say Carmen, there's a sequel of this movie we talked about, would you like to see it with me this Saturday ?" whispered Chase.

" WHAT ?!" she squeaked.

So loud that everybody turned head to her.

" Miss Sandiego, please remain focused." asked the math teacher, while the students chuckled.

" Y-yes, sorry sir." blushed Carmen.

But she heard it well ? Chase he … he asked her out ! Technically it wasn't a date, just a hang out between friends. So she shouldn't be overexcited.

" Tell that to the groupie inside of me."

And to her zygomatics.

" Well, already losing hearing ?" resumed Devineaux.

Even if she was rather the one who made her comrades lose a bit of it. Carmen went even redder, and for once couldn't find a reply. Which was certainly for the better, because given her state right now, she'd break a window should she talk again. To avoid any further embarrassment, Chase decided to chat through pieces of paper. He then indicated her an hour to go, and if it was convenient for her. Sandiego had trouble to hold back a bright grin. She immediately answered in a positive way. It was now Chase's turn to smile. The two of them spent the last lessons in the clouds.

" Hey sis, I couldn't help but notice you seemed quite a good mood since a while, despite all those attacks." made Cedric on their way home.

" Huh ? And so what, is that bad ?" questioned Carmen.

" Oh no it's not, but I'm just curious. Looks like something interesting happened." smiled the teen.

Carmen mused on that. Should she tell him ? Well, she had no real reason not to, but on the other hand that wouldn't help much. She kept silent the whole time, and Cedric didn't insist. Carmen parked her scooter then took off her helmet.

" Actually …"

Cedric turned to her. Carmen looked at the ground for an instant.

" You're right. I … something happened that put me in a good mood as you said." she admitted.

They entered, greeted the parents and headed toward their room. Carmen invited her brother in her bedroom. They sat on her little couch. Then, after hesitating an instant she confessed her crush on Chase. Cedric had a smile, rather glad for her. However, Carmen also explained that due to her situation as Ladyfox she couldn't hope for a relation now. However, with the perspective of defeating Lord Butterfly taking shape, this wouldn't last. Cedric had a smile.

" Yeah … the end seems close. Who could have think that by coming in Paris, we'd become superheroes ?" he said, leaning backward.

" You don't say ! What an adventure it is !" grinned Carmen.

" Though I'd like to remain as Furtileon a bit longer. I like being a superhero for real, instead of just in my video games." added Cedric, lifting his head to the ceiling.

" I must admit that it has its perks. We'll certainly have to give back our miraculous once all this over." resumed Carmen.

Player nodded. Oh well, there's nothing he could do about it, so he'll cherish those moments. Their conversation ended here.

The next day when Carmen was back to school, she learnt that the tournament results were published. And when she entered her class, her classmates praised her and the ones who participated for their victories. Naturally, one of them wasn't sharing this enthusiasm : Sheena tapped her fingers on her desk. That Carmen girl, everything went wrong since she arrived in this school. Sheena always believed that since she was the mayor's daughter, she was on a superior level compared to the others. She was supposed to be the cool girl, the one that others would want as a friend, who would be admired and that would be envied. The fact that she was friendless was, in her mind, mostly explained by the social position ( no one was worthy of her attention) and the bitter remarks she could get was because of jealousy.

Sheena was unable to question herself, as the good, spoiled brat she was. She was perfect, she was the one with power and influence here. So why were those miserable revolving around that low class girl ? She was a commoner, her parents' shop had absolutely no prestige. Yet here she was, parading in front of everyone. How dared she ? Sheena had to give her a good lesson, once and for all. And she knew exactly how. That was how after school, as Player went to grab a snack he heard a ruckus coming from the bakery. It seemed like there was a quarrel ongoing.

Curious, the young approached.

" Oh no." he said.

He swiftly went back upstairs, then to his sister's room.

" Hey sis. There's trouble at the bakery." he warned.

" What ? What's going on ?"

" The mayor is here. He pretend his daughter is ill after eating a croissant from here."

" Huh ?! But I'm pretty sure she'd never come here, too second rate for the princess." said Carmen.

" Anyway, he is here and he demands for repairs."

Carmen growled, how dared she ?! That was a lie, Sheena was pretending and her stupid father was falling for it. How could that man run the town and be unable to parent right ? The young woman rushed downstair followed by her little brother. She thanked him for warning her, to what Player responded that they both have the duty to defend the family.

" … and I'm telling you I never saw your daughter here ! I never forget a face so I'm sure she's lying !" protested Dexter.

" How dare you call my daughter a liar ? Do you know who am I ? I can close your store !" replied the mayor.

" And that would be an abuse of power ! You have no proof that it's one of our merchandise that made your daughter sick. Plus, we've seen you and her acting during the parents/teachers meetings. She threw a tantrum in front of everyone, she ridiculed you and you totally yielded. Let me tell you one thing, mister Dunoble : you are not a good father." intervened Carlotta.

" HUH ?!" exclaimed the mayor, shocked.

" Exactly ! Being a good father is being able to be firm, and not indulge in everything your child asks. What will she do when you won't be our mayor anymore ? What will you do ?" retorted Dexter.

" That won't be your problem since you'll be closed !" retorted the mayor.

The Sandiego siblings decided to show up. They placed themselves in front of their parents. Carmen peacefully recalled that he was accusing her parents without any proof, and her brother added that they could address to someone higher ranked than him, such as the prefect or the deputy. Not to mention the damages that such a story could do to his career should it be spread on the internet. The man winced at that. It had the merit to cut the conversation here. The mayor would ask for an investigation though. Dexter answered that he could be his guest. The mayor slammed the door when leaving. Everyone sighed.

" That damn Sheena again. Actually I'm not surprised." confessed Anne.

" You know her ?" asked Carlotta.

" Well, my son mentioned her and her attitude. She's a spoiled brat and don't hesitate to call her father each time something displeases her at school. Sometimes it works, sometimes not." explained the woman.

" You're absolutely right, I saw her in action. I guess she did that because of me." sighed Carmen.

" What do you mean sweetie ?" interrogated Dexter.

" Well, Sheena believes herself superior due to her father's position, and thus think she's popular. The thing is, she dislikes me because I'm more popular than her, not to mention the fact that I won my events in the tournament."

" So she's certainly pretending out of jealousy ! I don't believe this ! How can her father raise her so badly ?!" exclaimed Carlotta.

Dirtying her family or job's reputation was infuriating Carlotta like nothing else. She was boiling while her husband was thanking their children for their intervention. The siblings smiled, then left without noticing their mother's wrath. Alas, it didn't go unnoticed by you can guess who.

On the meantime, the mayor had call for a doctor who was examining Sheena. The latter, understanding she could be unmasked, tried to reassure her father by announcing she was feeling better.

" But you said you were probably intoxicated ! This isn't something you can be cured of so fast ! Which means … they were right !" opposed her father.

" I … I threw up a lot so I guess it's why I'm feeling better." smiled Sheena.

Alas for her, her father wasn't that gullible. Worried that his daughter could indeed be ill, and that a food intoxication could be serious, he didn't think straight, as often with her by the way. Mr Dunoble was very fond of his daughter, his unique child and feared to not reach her expectations or being disliked by her, as he had been by his own father. Mr Dunoble slapped his forefront.

" Sheena, do you realize what you did ? I could have serious trouble because of that ! I accused them without any proof, because I trusted you. And you lied !" he exclaimed.

" Oh come on ! I just wanted you to scare them, to remind them and especially their stupid daughter of their place. She thinks she's better than me, I had to teach her a lesson." retorted Sheena with disdain.

Her father widened eyes. He could have ruined poor people's reputation, destroy their trade and their life because of his daughter's jealousy. That wasn't the first time that he had complaints about her, but until now always dismissed them, by pure unbelief or because Sheena persuaded him she was the victim. But now … now that there was proof about her behaviour it was the straw that broke the camel's back. Mr Dunoble couldn't turn a blind eye anymore, even more today with social media. He sighed, before announcing to Sheena that she was grounded. That one opened mouth in disbelief.

Her father left her room before one of her pretend could make him change his mind. Along the way the words that those bakers spit in his face surfaced. Was he really a bad father when yielding in all his daughter's requests ? The moment about which the woman had spoken scrolled before his eyes. The mayor indeed felt ashamed, but managed to overcome it with his usual excuses. Was it too late to make his daughter change ? There he was in his thought process when something sounding like a roar shook the whole house. Looking through the window, Dunoble couldn't believe his eyes : there was a giant cookie man. Like, as high as a six floors building.

" Sheena Dunoble ! You little spoiled pest show yourself so I can punish you myself !" exclaimed a feminine voice.

Dunoble narrowed eyes : there was a woman standing on the cookie man's shoulder. She lifted an arm, then with a sharp gesture she sent a wave, rather a tsunami of paste. The paste engulfed the whole front garden. The mayor ordered to close every exit, and ran to his daughter's room.

" What's going on ?!" exclaimed Sheena."

" The consequences of your action, that's what's going on ! I'll do my best to protect you, but you'll seriously have to change your attitude, young miss !" replied her father.

" What ?! I'm the one being attacked and it's my fault ?!" exclaimed Sheena.

" Yes it is ! And you know it perfectly well ! I turned a blind eye on every complaint I received about you, because I trusted you and I wanted to be a good father ! But now I know how wrong I was, so don't ever count on me to satisfy your tantrums from now on." he exclaimed, facing her brutally.

Sheena kept on arguing and protesting, trying to coax her father as usual. However, he was angrier this time, mad at her. The ground level got filled with cake paste. Dunoble called for a helicopter in emergency. Ladyfox and Lone Wolf should be able to fix that, but in the meantime they had to be safe. They went upstairs. There, the windows exploded : round breads fell on the floor, under the shouts of Sheena. The mayor wondered if the chopper would arrive on time. He felt relief when he heard it and spotted it. But their attacker wouldn't allow them to escape. The cookie man spit paste that stuck the machine to the trees around. The woman called for Sheena again. That one completely panicked and ran away from her father. She managed to exit their house.

Carmen learnt that her mother had been akumatized when her brother called for her. At first, she had no idea it was Carlotta : she spotted her on the street before the bakery. Her long brown hair were now white, partly tied with a chocolate croissant hair clip. Her suit was brown like bread crust, with a tressed yellow belt, closed by a strawberry pie shaped buckle. Brown boots were completing the picture. It was when Carmen saw her father calling for his wife that she understood. Carlotta summoned paste with her rolling pin. It took the shape of a giant cookie man. Carmen went back in her room to transform.

" Damn ! That thing is fast !" she exclaimed.

" Don't worry, I'm following her from above." said Cedric through Red Drone.

Policemen on the way tried to stop the cookie man. But Carlotta engulfed them under flour. The cookie man and its creator reached the mayor's house. Ladyfox arrived right when Sheena was leaving. Carlotta leaped down her way of transport. She waved a kitchen whisk she had on her belt : threads of paste gushed to capture Sheena. Ladyfox caught her a second before.

" What took you so long ?" was all of the girl's gratitude.

" Hey ! If you're unhappy I'll let you deal with her ! I'm not at your disposal, no more than I can teleport !" snarled Ladyfox.

She dropped off Sheena on a roof.

" Get back here and face the consequences of your bad behaviour !" exclaimed Carlotta.

" What ?! I don't even know you !" shouted Sheena.

Ladyfox pulled her as baguettes hissed like spears. She grabbed Sheena again to transport her away. She went down on the ground, ordered her to run while she would face that akumatized one.

" Ladyfox ?" she heard.

Turning head, Carmen discovered Chase, a bag of food under the arm. A loud sound resonated, as the cookie man appeared.

" Hide !" yelled Ladyfox.

She pushed Chase in a street.

" Well hello Ladyfox ! Mind telling me where's that naughty girl, I need to teach her respect !" declared Carlotta.

" And you are ?"

" Call me Lady Bakeria. Now, out of my way !"

A tsunami of flour filled the place. Ladyfox managed to escape thanks to her yoyo and landed on a lamp post. She watched with horror the street where Chase sheltered being filled to a dangerous level. Only Player firmly asking her to remain calm prevented her from yelling and alert Butterfly. Instead, she put her hand son her mouth to muffed her cry.

" Hey Foxy, what's wrong ?" questioned Lone Wolf, hooked at the lamp post below her.

She didn't reply. He had to grab her to avoid her being glued by paste. They hid behind a chimney.

" Ladyfox !" he called, shaking her by the shoulders.

" Lone Wolf. I … he is under there … I have to help him !" she stuttered.

Lone Wolf mid opened his mouth before her desperate tone and attitude. Carmen made a move to return down there, but he prevented her from doing it.

" Ladyfox. Keep calm. I understand you hide someone here, someone important right ?" he said.

" Yes."

" Then let me handle that. Tell who I must look for and I'll find that person, alright ?"

" You can do it ?"

" I'm a wolf, I have flair."

Carmen had a little reassured smile, then described Chase. Lone Wolf instantly turned back to begin the search, relieving his partner who decided to focus on her opponent. To think she'd fight her own mother. Ladyfox started by catching her with her yoyo. According to Player, the akuma was in her rolling pin. Lady Bakeria counterattacked with a throw of croissants, then one of pie crust disks.

Lady Bakeria created soldiers made of croissants, chocolate croissants, breads as weapons and shields, fruits as projectiles … they all attacked her. Carmen hold on good against all those opponents. But she spotted her mother getting away on her cookie man. Damn, a diversion ! She had to hurry … Her partner arrived on time to help her get rid of those soldiers.

" How about the boy ?" she asked.

He noticed the worry in her voice, snatching him a little smile.

" Fine, don't worry I sent him home."

Now she was clearly relieved. They ran after Lady Bakeria. On the way, Ladyfox tipped Lone Wolf about the akuma. Mr Dunoble tried to stop the akumatized, behind six vehicles from the police. Lady Bakeria swept them with flour. Ladyfox and Lone Wolf attacked the cookie man's legs. Destroyed, he then oscillated before collapsing and falling into crumbs. Lady Bakeria managed to land on her feet.

" Aw ! I love strawberries, how dare she waste them like that ?!" complained Lone Wolf while shielding from the fruits sent to them.

" Yup, not very economic. But it's better than cake paste. Anyway, I have to put an end to this. Lucky charm !"

The yoyo delivered her a huge bottle of white vinegar, five litres. Hm, that wasn't welcome in bakery for sure. Staring around, she noticed a flower store.

She looked at her partner. That one knew he had to occupy their adversary while she'll act.

" Hey Lady Fakeria ! Seriously what is that low cost flour and paste you're making ? You'll get bankrupt if you continue !" he made.

" WHAT ?!"

Ladyfox snorted : way to lure her attention. She sneaked while her mother increased her attacks. Then, she arrived near the flower store. She picked a large format sprayer, in which she poured the vinegar. Then, running to Lady Bakeria she started to spread it on her creations first. Those melted immediately.

" No !"

Then, she received her dose as well. Her suits started to melt, and curiously her hair seemed to follow. Lone Wolf snatched the rolling pin he destroyed with his Wolf mist. Ladyfox handled the akuma.

" Miraculous Ladyfox !"

Carlotta turned back to normal. Her daughter helped her getting up. From the roof, Suhara and his brother spotted the white butterfly getting away. They immediately ran after it.

" Say Ladyfox, I was wondering." made Lone Wolf while they were getting away.

" Hm ?"

" That boy you made me look for, he seems really important to you, isn't he ?"

She glanced at him.

" Yes, he really is. I'm so relieved that he's safe. He could have suffocated under that flour. Thanks for your help in that respect." she admitted.

Their miraculous beeping prevented him from replying. But it was a thoughtful Chase that came back home. He saw her desperate face, heard her panicked voice when talking about him. Tagg was busy devouring cheese. Chase bit his lip. He shouldn't … but him he knew. What if she favoured him over a mission, like today ? That too, could be dangerous. Chase took a breath then grabbed his phone.

On the meantime, the Sandiegos received a visit in their shop. Sheena entered with her father. She was displeased to be here, and visibly forced to. The mayor called her. She then grumbled apologies about her behaviour, looking away.

" I also present my excuses to you. You were right about everything : I accused you without thinking, and I've realized today that my overindulgence toward my daughter wasn't doing her any favours, on the contrary." he said.

Sheena crossed her arms with a pout.

" I hope you'll pardon us."

Carlotta take a deep breath.

" I do. Being a parent myself I understand the worry you have for your child. I too, can't think quite straight when it comes to them."

Mr Dunoble had a grateful smile. Dexter simply nodded, then the Dunobles left.

" Looks like Sheena won't be able to count on her father's influence anymore, and will have to manage by herself." commented Anne Devineaux.

" Let's just hope it's not too late." sighed Dexter.

" She's still young so there's hope. But it will be hard and long." concluded Carlotta.

On their side, the guardian brothers successfully tracked one of Lord Butterfly's insect. They watched it entering through a window. They went down, looking for a street name. Hideo noted the building number before. Suhara found the address. They approached the door. A vertical glass allowed them to see the letter boxes on a side, behind another door. If only they could enter to get a name … they only discovered the floor. Better than nothing.

" Perhaps I could use Equus to get inside." suggested Suhara.

" Despite it being forbidden, I think it's a good idea. But how are you going to justify this before the Council ?" replied Hideo.

" I will assume full responsibility, don't worry. Apart from telling the truth I don't have any other option. He already killed a bearer after all."

That was a good argument indeed. However they'll be back at night. They went back home, where an unpleasant event awaited them. Both watched the place mouth opened. They had been burglarized.
