Chapter 3:

"Where is she?" Izuku questioned as he held a steaming hot coffee in his hand, and in the other an ice cold coffee. "I don't understand why she'd want ice coffee during the winter." The boy muttered under his breath.

Amalea and Mia just snorted from next to him, "And I took that personally." the Italian joked and poked his shoulder. "It's good in every season. Although my ancestors would rather have me order a espresso with a good blend."

"My ancestors would've wanted for me to drink tea."

Izuku barked out a laugh.

"Izu!" He heard a shout and the next minute he turned his quirk on and turned intangible, in the corner of his eyes, he saw Mia jump away like a pro and Amalea? Not so much. Letting the incoming person rush into the person next to him.

The now gray haired boy gasped and turned his quirk off. "I am so sorry." He apologized and picked both of the girls off of the ground. Dusting the dust off of Amalea's back and off of Cathleen's hands.

"You should let me put a rule on you if you're going to do this each time. The ground isn't the place to be when it's cold, Izu." The freshly blonde hair dyed girl pouted and then turned to the new girl. "Hey! My name is Cathleen Bates! Izuku told me he would bring two friends."

The blonde girl stood right next to Izuku. They're the same height, which somehow happens. The two were going to be tall later, Ferraro already saw the boy's father. The man is a giant.

The blonde and the black haired boy are 5'5 (165cm). While Amalea still stands at a height of 5'2 (157cm) and Mia of course right in the middle. Mia snapped out of her slight dazed look from the blonde girl, who is really pretty by the way. "I'm Mia Evans. This is Amalea Ferraro."

"Nice to meet you!" Cathleen then turned to Izuku and grabbed her coffee out of his hand. "Ice cold buddies!" She cheered and softly bumped all of their cups together.

"Yeah!" Mia cheered and sneaked a look at the blonde.

Izuku then happily sipped his cup. Noticing the looks his British friend was giving his childhood one. He hummed with an amused tone. "So, we're going to go shopping first? Since each one of you is just slandering my closet."

"Red shoes aren't in." The Brit and American said in sync. They then looked at each other's outfits and nodded. "We're helping you find a better style, Izu. I literally can't take it anymore." Cathleen sighed.

Mia snorted.

"First time I saw his shirts with puns on them I thought it was pajamas." The illusion quirk-user sighed, "Those weren't his pajamas."

Cathleen nodded in sympathy.

"I even tried to use my quirk to see what clothes he could wear! When I tell you, it is a sight to behold!"

They all laughed. Except Izuku, nothing is wrong with his 'pajama' shirt.

The lot walked down into a shopping street. "So 'Lea! You going to the same program as Izu here?"

"Yup!" Amalea grinned, "You going to a hero school next year?"

"Absolutely!" Cathleen pumped her fist in the air. "I've been looking forward to going to one. I even got so excited I went ahead and dyed my hair early."

"Why dye your hair for a hero school?" Amalea asked, confused.

"Because Cat loves All Might." Izuku grinned, "She's been trying to impersonate him since we were kids."

Cathleen raised her eyebrows, unimpressed. "I can show you pictures of Izu in an All Might onesie."

Amalea did not miss a beat. "Take my phone please."

Mia winked at the blonde, "Don't be afraid to reach out." She said and held out her phone.

Izuku wants to go home.

He does not like the HPSC officers. They push each of them too much. A girl can make huge or minuscule tornadoes, they pushed her quirk so much and threw things at her so she would learn to hold her tornados and not get distracted and let them disappear in the air.

They made her use it for hours, until she got so dizzy that she got a nose bleed and passed out.

Izuku really did not like it.

Then on day 12, they had to use their quirks in spars. They stated that if they lost, they would get punished.

The malice smile when they said it made each one of their stomachs form a pit.

"Vadim and Izuku. Come on up." They called out and handed the two arm bands they had to wear. Uneasiness washed over the two, they don't know what the accessories do.

Izuku and Vadim made eye contact. They understood each other immediately. They're not taking it personally and will not blame one another for the outcome.

Izuku activated his quirk. His black hair turning gray, he held up his hands in his fighting style. Vadim did the same with a grim smile.

Once it was signaled to fight, Izuku turned invisible and Vadim turned into electricity. Izuku stood behind the boy when he turned to kick the back of his leg.

He immediately retracted his legs as it stung a lot more than a taser.

The kids got a taste of tasers this week too. It was obviously not your usual low voltage taser.

Izuku then avoided the pure electric body with his hits and kicks by turning intangible each time. The boy began sweating and feeling even more uneasy than before. Vadim's vaguely seen face shapes showed that Izuku wasn't the only one feeling like it.

During his training, he learnt how to take possession of things. He doesn't like to do it, it leaves him too uncomfortable and bad in his own skin.

But then he did it, well he tried it.

He felt his whole body rush with electricity. He then started bashing Vadim's own fist against his head. Hoping that the fight could be over in a millisecond.

Then, Izuku saw something that he never thought would happen to the Russian.

His quirk evolved.

With a loud scream, Vadim took control of his own body and let his right hand run against his lower left jaw, his chest and then down his left arm. With another extreme burst of energy, Vadim ejected Izuku.

The gray haired boy was shot out of Vadim's body and roughly landed on the ground. Izuku groaned and shouted loudly, the dizziness hit him as he tried to puke.

Realizing Izuku was doing what he tried to, Vadim turned his quirk off and put him on his side. The boy's food went right up. Vadim his breathing picked up in the panic. "Izuku, you're not healing. Why aren't you healing!" He asked, panicking. Vadim stood up and slugn the black haired boy's arm over his shoulder.

Vadim desperately shouted at the trainer, "Help him!"

The trainer scoffed, "He'll heal. Put him to the side."

Izuku coughed as he felt a foul taste in his mouth. He grabbed his head as a painly headache washed over him. He heard a muted voice call out to him.

"-ku! Izuku!" Aching sides. He noticed.

He looked up at a panicking Amalea and Vadim. Vadim had tears prickling his eyes, huh, Izuku never saw the boy cry. "What happened?" He groaned out, his throat felt extremely dry. Vadim struggled to vocalize his words.

"His quirk evolved." Amalea interrupted, "You possessed him and he evolved out of desperation." She then grabbed onto his cheek. "How are you feeling?"

He's never seen her this concerned before, and he had about five stab wounds before! She didn't even blink an eye at him and just pulled out a bottle of alcohol for his wounds. But now?

"Feeling confused, muscle aches and I have a dry ass throat with such a foul taste." He spit out.

Ferraro then let her hand trail down his left side. "You aren't healing, 'zuku." She said softly. "At least your heart rate became regular again. It would've been a huge problem if it didn't."

Vadim nodded, "It could really end badly."

Izuku then shifted around a bit, to shrug off the uncomfortable feeling. "Why can't I feel my arm?"

"I fried your left side." Vadim said, "I'm so sorry. You'll probably have these scars forever."

Midoriya's cringe faded as he adopted a smile on his face, with his right side, he patted the boy's head. "You're fine." he said, "I just want this summer camp to be over so we can go back home."

Amalea let out a shuddered breath. "Achilles and Mia aren't allowed to come. They still have to fight."

"How long have I been out?"

"Half an hour." Vadim replied.

"How come 'Lea is here?"

"I'm right here." The Italian protested.

Vadim shrugged, "I think she fought right after us."

"I did."

Izuku looked at himself in the mirror as a towel rested at his waist. The lichtenberg figures scars now went up from his lower left jaw, upper chest, shoulder, upper back and down his arm to his hands. The fresh scar was still red, a few blisters formed but disappeared how fast they came.

Small bursts of dark green electricity wrapped around his upper body and he was confused.

When did I learn some form of electricity? Did the lightning from Vadim trigger a hidden ability? How come his regeneration didn't stop it from scarring? Was he too tired? They were tiring each one of them out before. Izuku felt like sleeping. When was the last time he slept?

Will his scar eventually heal? Will he always be vulnerable to lightning types? What will he do when his loved one-

A knock pulled him out of his stupor. "Izuku? You in there? You done?" A worried voice called out. He recognized the British accent.

"Coming out." He replied and put his clothes on, his typical t-shirt saying 'kachow' now, kind of ironic now that he thought about it. He twisted the doorknob and was greeted by a heavy weight against his stomach. With a small smile he patted the person's head.

"I was so worried!" Mia exclaimed. "They wouldn't, they said-" He felt tears soak his t-shirt.

'Oh' He thought and rubbed her back instead of patting her head. "I'm fine." He said, "I'm always fine Mia. I'm right here." He comforted her, whispering the same things over and over. Finally, the brit calmed down. She looked up from his chest and stroked a finger along his left jaw.

"Doesn't it hurt?"

"It does." He didn't want to lie. Mia would see through him.

Mia let out a quiet sob. She looked down at his sleeve and his arm. Full of lightning figured scars.

He put on a smile for her, "I can just tell it's a tattoo later. People will find it cool."

Mia snorted and huffed. "Yeah, sure."

"So, we're just going to be studying about different kinds of departments in heroics?" Achilles questioned, "After yesterday and you guys think we need to study?"

Izuku wanted to say something but his words were stuck in his throat. Mia had their arms interlinked, she was the one to speak up. "Leave it Achilles! I'm interested in the undercover side of underground heroics." She squeezed the Greek boy's forearm. "Izuku is fine now."

Their main coach sneered at the boy. "Yeah. Izuku is fine now. Sit down and be quiet before punishment gets handed out." Achilles then shut his mouth and leaned back into his chair. "You will all be staying for about two hours and listening to this lecture. Then your names will be called by someone and you'll get a review done. Follow that person's instructions next."

All the teens looked at one another and gulped.

"So you're the lightning struck boy from yesterday?" A woman with glasses and a clipboard asked.

Izuku nodded.

"Well, how have you been feeling since then?" She asked and put a hand on his scarred forearm.

The boy frowned and gave her a convincing smile, "Well I've been-" He fell quiet. Stuck, even.

"Forget about all the bad things that happened at this camp. You cannot speak of all the bad things that happened here. Your lightning scars came from a training accident that Vadmin's quirk evolved from. It was a happy little accident. Understand?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Now go to room 14 and listen to their lecture, before you enter the room. You'll snap out of it."

"Yes." The boy said and stood up, calmly walked out of the room and through the empty hallways. He did not remember anything.
