Luxanna's heartbeat increased, and she felt sweat accumulating on her forehead. What should she say? She'd never been in this situation before. A gun pointed at her head, wielded by a woman she'd never met. Was she trying to mug her?
Although nervous, the blonde tried her best to stay calm while answering, "Lu… Luxanna Crownguard."
"Well then, Miss Crownguard. You aren't from here, are you?" The voice continued to ask.
"N… No. I'm from Demacia." She answered, getting more and more nervous.
"What brings a young, defenseless girl from Demacia to Zaun?" The female voice asked, confused.
"I… I just wanted to explore the undercity. I've read about it in books and scrolls and-"
"Turn around." The voice interrupted her.
Luxanna's heartbeat increased to unprecedented levels, when she slowly turned on the spot she was standing on and met her attacker eye to eye.
In front of her stood a girl, maybe one or two years younger than herself. She was also shorter and much thinner than Luxanna. She had ocean blue hair and wore a brown crop top with short pants.
In her hand, she held a pistol, which looked more like Junk than an actual weapon.
But something else was with this girl. Something Luxanna couldn't quite describe.
The blue haired attacker was visually feeling uneasy too. She stumbled back a step and looked at the blonde confused and angry.
"What are you doing with me?" She asked, waving her gun aggressively to force out an answer from the defenseless girl.
"I don't know what you're talking about…" Luxanna stated in a calm, tender voice. She really didn't know what this madwoman was about. But she somehow had the creeping feeling that it was the same thing she felt herself.
This weird, tingly feeling, that Luxanna couldn't quite describe.
The blue haired girl's breath began to get faster, while thinking of what to say next. She was visibly uneasy and very confused. Her purple eyes shot around, up, down, left, right and repeat. She had no idea what to say next, so she just settled on an aggressive, "Just leave me alone!" Before running off as quickly as she came.
Luxanna's heart beat to her throat and her breath was heavy, but at least she was safe again.
But this feeling. This weird feeling simply wouldn't subside.
After a long walk back, where the blonde had plenty of time to think about her encounter with this crazy girl, she finally reached the hotel again. She didn't realize just how happy she could be from just seeing a building. This trip to Zaun was a complete disaster. Not only did she learn almost nothing new, she also almost got shot by this blue haired madwoman.
While shaking her head in confusion, she walked up the long set of stairs to the tenth floor.
Soon, she stood in front of the door to her room. Number 115. She breathed out a sigh of relief, before pushing down the brass handle and taking a step inside, her look fixated towards the ground.
"I told you to leave me alone. So, why can't I get you out of my head?!" A familiar voice asked through the dark, accompanied by the same clicking sound of the weapon, as earlier this day.
Luxanna froze in fear. She couldn't see the blue haired girl, but she knew she was in this room somewhere. She asked into the darkness, "How do you know where to find me?"
The answer came quickly and monotone, "It's not really difficult to find someone like you. Young, blonde, good looking and not from here. I knew where you lived before you stepped out of Zaun."
With a racing heart, Luxanna continued to ask, "May I… May I turn on the lights?"
The answer came with a chuckle, "You may."
Luxanna slowly moved her hand towards the lightswitch, which she promptly flipped. The room was engulfed in the bright, yellow light and revealed the thin body of the intruder.
The same, blue haired girl was sitting on her couch, lazily aiming the gun at Luxanna.
"So. Now tell me-" the madwoman started while getting up from her resting position and walking closer towards the frightened girl, "what kind of magic did you use on me?"
"Magic? I didn't use anything on you! I swear!" Luxanna answered with a whimper, when the intruder now stood mere inches away from her.
"Don't lie to me!" she screamed before grabbing the blonde's shoulder, "I can't get you out of my head, no matter how hard I-"
The madwoman's eyes got wider and her heart almost stopped, once the skins of the two girls connected through her touch.
All of the sudden contrasts were much more clear, colors were so much more bright than she had ever thought would be possible and the voices which plagued her head for the better part of her life, were silenced.
The touch only lasted for a brief moment, before the blue haired girl retracted her hand out of fright and stumbled a few feet back.
"What the fuck was that?!" She screamed before aiming her weapon at Luxanna's head once more.
The blonde looked at her in fear, for she also felt what the other girl meant.
"I didn't do anything. I swear." She claimed calmly, before slowly stepping towards the armed girl.
"Don't come any closer! Just… Get away from me! And leave my fucking head!" She screamed before stashing away her gun and jumping out of the window.
Luxanna's heart plummeted to the ground, before she ran towards the window herself and looked down.
There she saw the blue braids of the girl she just talked to, flying elegantly through the air behind her, as she swung down the building with an incredible display of parkour.
Luxanna smiled softly, as she retreated back into the room and let the evening fade out, while thinking about the encounters she had with this strange girl.
