Violet stumbled through the forest, tripping over the vines and twigs lying on the ground as the soldier dragged her through it. His hand hadn't lost his grip on her arm, and she struggled against his immense force and strength. It wasn't often you met someone with an arm made from metal and it certainly wasn't often you'd get dragged through the woods by it. Her feet were aching from the long walk, and it was nearly dark. The sun was still setting through the tall trees in the forest. Small beams of the sun shone through the gaps and set the sky a blood orange glow.

Despite her struggles, the soldier made no noise to indicate his own tiredness and carried on marching through the terrine. His eyes were set ahead as if he knew where they were going.

As they emerged from a part of the forest, Violet looked up to see a cabin. It was large and made entirely out of logs. There were two windows at the front and a porch. Beside it was a pile of logs and firewood along with a tree stump and axe. The cabin looked to be empty judging by no lights on inside. As Violet stared at the cosy cabin, she realised one thing. If there was a cabin here, that had to mean there were people or at least nearby. People that could help her or at least help her call for help. But how would she do that with the intimidating soldier and his watchful eye.

He tugged her along, pulling her up to the cabin and he peaked into the windows, checking to see if anyone was inside. The coast was clear. Violet jumped in shock as the soldier kicked the door open with his boot, sending it flying one way and smacking the inside of the cabin. Violet was yanked inside, tripping over her feet, and catching her balance so she didn't fall.

The cabin was beautiful inside. Cosy suede sofa's, oak furniture, fur rugs and blankets. The people who owned it had defiantly made this place a home for themselves. Violet couldn't help but feel guilty for trespassing on it. But then she hoped that the couple or people who did live here would come along and save her from this super soldier. But would they be a match against his high fighting skills and impressive gun moves. Violet was barely able to fend herself off from him, let alone what two strangers could do.

The soldier threw the backpack he had been carrying onto the table and shoved Violet down onto the sofa. She landed with a grunt and squirmed in the seat. He started to unpack what was in the bag and lay the items on the table. A gun, a knife, a bottle of water, some extra handcuffs. Violet felt a little sick just watching and she swallowed the sticky lump in the back of her throat.

"Can you please just tell me what you are planning to do with me" she said softly. She was scared but not knowing what was happening to her scared her more. The soldier said nothing as he continued unpacking the bag, pulling various other weapons out which Violet had no clue to what they were.

"If you aren't going to kill me then what!" she didn't know where this bravery was coming from but the more the soldier didn't answer her, the more frustrated she was getting. He didn't even look to her, just ignored her. Violet huffed in anger; she had had enough.

Violet sprung from the sofa, ready to give the soldier the smacking of a lifetime despite her cuffed hands but her sudden departure from the sofa alerted him the second she left it. The soldier spun towards her, eyes hard, eyebrows narrowed in a furious look. His metal hand instantly pressed against her collarbone, shoving her back onto the sofa. Instead of letting go however, he fell forwards, pressing his knee between her legs as he leaned over her, eyes focused on her. Violet gasped, eyes locked with his again, his blue orbs staring back at her.

"My mission is you, that's all you need to know, if you don't behave then I will have to do something which you will not like… do I make myself clear" his voice was low behind his mask but threatening and Violet gulped, nodding her head slowly. The soldier stayed staring at her, his eyes flickering down to her quivering lips, and he took a deep breath in before letting her go. Violet relaxed and licked her dry mouth, quenching them.

She knew better than to fight him on this. He was a well-trained assassin and soldier, and she was a tiny nurse. Comparing the two, the obvious winner would be him. But he still gave no clue as to what the reason was for her being taken. Who does he work for? Why were they desperate to have her? Violet stayed sitting on the couch silently, watching intently at his every move.

The soldier wandered around the cabin, looking through the draws and cupboards. He stomped his way into the kitchen, doing the same and opened the fridge and looking before slamming it back, the noise making Violet jump. His boots pounded the floor, the floorboards creaking and cracking as he came back over. He took the bottle of water and handed it to Violet, to which she was shocked at but took it anyway.

"Thank you" she was so thirsty, and she struggled to open the bottle, the lid clattering on the floor. She felt her cheeks flush red with embarrassment as the soldier stood and watched her. But as she was about to take a sip, she stopped herself and looked up at him. What if he had drugged it?

"It's clear" he knew right off the bat what her thinking was, and she hesitated but sipped it. It tasted like normal water, and she was desperate for more. But had he only said that to get her to drink it. After another gulp, she handed it back to him with a shaky hand, not because it was drugged but because she was scared.

Suddenly a ringing sounded, and the soldier pulled out a cell from one of the pockets in his pants. He clicked it open and held it to his ear, immediately talking in Russian.

Violet had no idea what he was saying but got lost in thought about what she was going to do. if she could somehow manage to get that cell of him, she could have a chance of calling her parents. S.H.I.E.L.D was obviously a no go so her parents were the only people available. No doubt they were worried sick about her. But the question was how she would get a hold of it. The only thing she could think of was to gain his trust, trick him in some way so she had a chance of escaping. She had to be extremely careful though, one wrong move and something could happen to her. She was pulled from her deep thoughts when he ended the call.

"We rest tonight, tomorrow I will get supplies for us and then we head on" he said, and Violet nodded.

"Okay" she whispered. She knew there was no point in asking where they were going.

"Are you hungry?" he asked and opened the backpack again.

"Um, yeah actually I am" Violet replied, and the soldier reached inside and pulled a shiny red apple out. It wasn't much but at least it was something. Her stomached rumbled almost instantly as she saw the bright juicy fruit being held perfectly in his large hand and he gave it to her. Taking a big bite, the apple crunched, and juice filled the corners of her lips. It was sweet and delicious. But Violet found it strange how he wasn't eating.

"Aren't you going to eat?" she asked, and he stopped for a moment before answer.

"No" he answered. As she ate her apple, Violet wondered what he looked like under that mask. It created such a dark and intensifying look on his face that she bet underneath, he wasn't as intimidating. Perhaps he had some sort of scarring that he wanted covered up.

Suddenly, a low pair of voices sounded in the background, catching both of their attention. Violet froze as she chewed the last piece of her juicy apple, looking up as the soldier looked over to the window.

People… there were people outside… people that could help her?

"Come here".

But before Violet even had a chance to do something, her arm was grabbed by the soldier, and she was thrusted over to the door. He pressed himself against the wall, flickering off the lights and wrapped his metal arm around Violet, clamping it over her mouth and keeping her pressed against his chest. Violet moaned into his hand; the sound muffled. He took his gun from the holster, fingers wrapping around every nook and cranny and held it up, so it was beside her face, a warning. His chin rested on top of her head, and he kept his gaze outside the window, full soldier mode.

The voice turned louder as they walked past the house, and it sounded like they were walking a dog. There was a jingle of a collar outside the door and sniffing sounds at the bottom. Violet breathed heavy into his metal hand, his fingers curling into her cheeks. She could feel his warmth from the leather of his chest. And out of nowhere, Violet felt a tingle go through her body. Her stomach turned over itself with nerves, the type of nerves you feel when you see someone you like. The solder kept his eyes gazing outside, gun at the ready if needed and clamped his hand tighter onto Violet's face. She let out a small whimper, head leaning back against him, his scent filling her senses. It was musky and strong and intoxicating. The metal hand on her mouth was cold and sent a shock through her system as well.

She wanted to kick him in the crotch like before and make a run for it, but she didn't stand a chance. She prayed the dog walkers would notice something strange in the cabin and look inside. But then she realised they were no match for the soldier behind her. A minute drew past, and the dog scurried off, following its owners as they pasted the cabin and ventured deep into the forest. They were gone and so was her chance of escaping. Violet sighed and shut her eyes in frustration.

The soldier dropped his hand with the gun and then his metal hand slid down to her neck, squeezing ever so slightly, his metal fingers wrapping around and covering most of her neck. Violet managed to suck in a breath, and she felt that tingle again. But why and how?

"Good girl" the soldier said softly and placed his gun back in the holster. He took his grip back on her upper arm and pulled her away, Violet taking one last look at the door to her freedom.
