Hey, Dan. If you're reading this, you've managed to do the unthinkable. You captured the imagination of one of the hardest-to-please gamers walking the earth right now. When I first discovered the visual novel format, I didn't think much of it. Having grown up on titles like Final Fantasy VII and Shadow Hearts, I lost a lot of faith in the industry when it began moving away from that style of gameplay and storytelling. My pessimism blinded me to what the indie scene could accomplish with proper support. I now see wholeheartedly that style can be revitalized with the right tools and knowledge. What you'll see in this story are the ways in which not only could the genre be rejuvenated, but even improved upon with current technology. When Doki Doki Plus was announced, I found myself surprisingly open to the idea of supporting your studio, because I knew if you found success, you could one day provide an experience I thought lost to history. I have faith in the potential of you and your colleagues to make something unlike what's come before. I don't know the full story for Libitina yet, but if it's anything like I'm anticipating, it'll be the first step towards returning gaming to its former glory should you choose to do so. Best of luck, friend. I wish you well.
