It was nothing but a short walk for both of the teenage girls to reach their homes. It's already on the weekend so they can slack off as they like. After reaching in between each respective house, Sakurako tells Himawari that she would return to her house for a moment to pack her clothes up so she can take a bath in Himawari's house. Himawari sighs with displeasure but nodded at her anyway. Before Himawari began walking off to her house, the spoiled Sakurako asked her to carry her bag to her room.
Is she annoyed? Yes. But, yeah, this is Sakurako we are talking about here. Himawari can do nothing but to sincere about it.
Himawari reluctantly carries her bag and brings it to her house. Sakurako, in such spirit for a sleepover, dashes to her own home and barges through the front door. Her little sister is already at home and tells them that she'll have a sleepover in Himawari's house. Her mother and Hanako roll their eyes, but this is better than watching her being lazy and nothing else around the house. Of course, Sakurako got a lecture from her mother to not barge through the front door like that.
Sakurako went upstairs to her room. She gets a small bag, enough to put two sets of clothes inside. Tomorrow is Saturday, so she doesn't have to worry about bringing the school uniform. She found her small bag inside the night table, in the top drawer. She then went over for the cabinet and checked the contents of it. She has a lot of colorful outfits, especially those in bright colors.
Sakurako picks two sets of clothes and her underwear. One set for tonight and another one for the next morning. So she'll be taking a bath in Himawari's house for those two sets of clothes. Frankly, this is better for her sisters since she doesn't want to be a nuisance for them when it comes to the bathroom. Sakurako can sometimes take a bath too long than she should.
After everything is in order, she grabs additional writing tools along with a science notebook. She stuffs them into the bag and exits her room. She descended downstairs and greeted Nadeshiko on the way, who just arrived in the house. Nadeshiko gives a sigh seeing Sakurako is all prepped up with her bag, and without changing her uniform.
"You're having a sleepover in Himako's house again?" Nadeshiko asked with a raised brow.
"Yes, Onee-chan!" Sakurako replied with a nod. "And also, we want to do homework together."
"That sounds good, Sakurako," Nadeshiko replied as she sits down on the couch. "I hope you don't give her much trouble."
"Hihihi," Sakurako giggled to herself. "Why would I give her trouble? She's the one giving me trouble."
"You got it backward, Onee-chan," Hanako added, not bothering to look up from her book.
"What do you mean backward?" Sakurako asked, with her eyes narrowed.
"You caused a lot of fuss for Himako," Nadeshiko added for her question. "She sometimes complained about you."
Sakurako scoffed at her answer. "That's not true!"
"I know, I know," Nadeshiko then opens her bag. "I bought something."
"Ooh, what did you buy?" Sakurako approached Nadeshiko as she tried to look over to her bag.
Nadeshiko then pulls out two snacks from her bag. "Onigiri and salt potato chips."
Sakurako quickly reached for the chips, only to have Nadeshiko raises the chips away from Sakurako's reach.
"No, no," Nadeshiko shook her head. "You can eat this when Himawari wants to eat, okay?"
Sakurako grumbled by her request but reluctantly accepted. "Fine."
"Good, now give me your bag," Nadeshiko asked with an open palm.
Sakurako still grumbled a little, but she gives the bag to her. Thankfully, the bag has enough space for the chips and Onigiri.
"Here you go, Sakurako," Nadeshiko gives her bag back. "Now, go ahead to Himako's house."
"Alright, alright," Sakurako then headed off to the front door, but she waved at Nadeshiko first. "See you tomorrow, Nadeshiko-chan!"
"See you tomorrow, Sakurako," Nadeshiko replied, to which Sakurako is already gone from the house. "*sigh* That girl."
"I hope she doesn't annoy Hima-chan that much," Hanako added as she closed her book.
"Well, the only least thing I expect from Himawari is to fight with her," Nadeshiko commented with a shrug. "Probably, Himawari will hit her face later."
"Hmm…" Hanako tempted by her comment. "Wish I could see that myself."
"Don't worry, you will get that one day," Nadeshiko assured her as she opens her phone. "I heard you had had trouble with Sakurako."
"She laughed at me two days ago," Hanako replied in such upset.
"Because you accidentally drew yourself on your face with a marker?" Nadeshiko asked.
"Yes!" Hanako replied with a nod. "I tried to hide my face from her, but she managed to see me and mock my face."
"Why didn't you try to clean your face?" Nadeshiko asked with a narrowed brow.
"I did a couple of days ago," Hanako then sighs to herself. "Apparently, it was a permanent marker."
Nadeshiko stifled a chuckle. "I can guess that it takes you overnight to clean that."
"It did," Hanako added with a nod. "I can say the same for Sakurako."
"I can agree," Nadeshiko added, then she closed her phone. "She deserved that, at least, and it was pretty funny."
Hanako stifled a chuckle too. "If you say so."
*BAK-BUK "HUAK!" BUK-BAK*
Ah yes, do not mistake that sound as a couple of people brawling outside the house. That was the ringtone of Nadeshiko's phone.
Don't ask why she set her ringtone with that.
Anyway, Nadeshiko picks her phone up as Hanako curiously watched. Nadeshiko flips open her phone and see who's calling her. Nadeshiko smiled at the phone much for Hanako's surprise. Hanako could only raise both of her eyebrows.
"Is that your friend?" Hanako asked with her head tilted.
"Yeah, excuse me for a moment," Nadeshiko then gets off the couch and heads for the far end of the room.
Hanako continues reading her book. Hanako doesn't really mind much about her eldest sister's business with her friend. But Hanako could acknowledge that whoever this friend is, it's Nadeshiko's girlfriend. Of course, that is just Hanako's guess, and she might be a little too young for that matter.
Now, while Hanako is reading her book, she overhears her sister's conversation by chance. "I'm doing just fine, you?"
Hanako then looks up to Nadeshiko, who is facing in that direction of the room. "I see. Do you want to go somewhere together? My treat."
Hanako returns to her book again as Nadeshiko continued to her phone. "Wha- don't say something like that, you know how embarrassing that is."
Now that confused Hanako for a moment, then looked up to Nadeshiko again. "Don't worry about that. I will give you some relief when we get into your bedroom."
"Pfft!"
Hanako is sure surprised by that comment. Hanako gags her mouth by covering it with her hand and looks back to her book. Hanako still has no idea what she meant by that, but it might be enough to make her flustered. She looked back at Nadeshiko again for one more time before looking back at her book.
Hanako might not want to find out what Nadeshiko meant by relieving. Not just yet.
Himawari's Household.
Himawari already settled her bag along with Sakurako's in her room. For now, she's waiting for Sakurako at the front door of her house. Himawari was tempted to take a bath but decided to wait for Sakurako. The last thing she wants is to have Sakurako berated at her for not waiting for Sakurako. Sometimes, she hoped that Sakurako is not that annoying.
As Himawari was about to return to her room, that said person has entered the house.
"HI-MA-WARI!"
There she goes, Sakurako is in the house.
"Ah, Sakurako, you're just in time," Himawari commented. "I was about to take a bath."
"Oooh, Himawari has prepared a bathtub for me," Sakurako commented with glimmering eyes and a smile. "Oh, you are such a helper for me."
"Who are you calling a helper?!" Himawari retorted in a stern tone. "That's either my bath or my sister's bath, not yours!"
Sakurako snorted at her. "You're so stingy!"
"How come I'm preparing a bath for myself is stingy for you?" Himawari asked back to her in irritation. "I didn't even know you want a bath."
"Ugh, whatever," Sakurako responded sourly. "Go get me some drink!"
"Yeah, yeah," Himawari replied with a nod, trying to be sincere of her behavior. "You go on ahead to my room. I'll get some tea."
"Okay, then!" Sakurako replied in such a cheerful tone, before dusting off into the hall.
Himawari watches her left for her room, at which she could shake her head for her behavior. She sighs before heading off to the kitchen. She opens up the cabinet above her and grabs a box of Himawari's favorite tea. She then grabs two glasses from the glass rack and a thermos of hot water. She pours the hot water first before dipping in the teabags. After dangling the teabags in hot water to excrete the tea, she heads off for the fridge.
As she is taking a tray of ice cubes from the fridge, her little sister walks into the kitchen. The presence of her only youngest sister is enough to halt her for the moment.
Kaede Furutani is her sister's name. A cute girl in her child's age. She possesses the same eye color, hair color, and hairstyle as her elder sister. She doesn't have a headband like Himawari. Kaede is known to be even-tempered and wise despite her child's age. Sakurako very likes her since she is somewhat innocent and frustratingly making references about her breasts. And that's Sakurako's breasts, not Himawari's.
Anyway, Himawari greeted her. "Evening, Kaede."
"Evening, Onee-chan," Kaede greeted back with such a smile. "Are you making tea?"
"Yes, I am," Himawari replied with a nod. "Do you want me to make one?"
"I want milk, Onee-chan," Kaede answered with her glimmering eyes.
"Alright, give me a moment," Himawari replied with a smile before putting the ice cubes into the teas.
Himawari is very joyful and relaxed with the presence of her young sister. If there's a couple of things she loved from her, it is her innocence and honesty. Of course, Himawari couldn't but to cringe when Kaede mentioned anything related to breasts. Himawari could assume that Sakurako is the source of that topic. It's still a question for them both whether Sakurako hates boobs or hate that Himawari is the only one to have a developing body.
After Himawari made a glass of milk, she gives it to her sister. "Here, here, Kaede-chan."
"Yay, milk!" Kaede receives the milk and happily drinks it up.
Himawari, with such joy, pats her sister's head. "So cute~."
"Himawari Onee-chan," Kaede called with a curious look. "Did Sakurako come over?"
"Yes, she's here," Himawari replied with a sigh. "I hope you don't mind because she's having a sleepover in our home."
"I really don't mind at all, Onee-chan," Kaede replied with a cute smile. "Besides, I'm very happy that Sakurako Nee-chan is here."
"I'm glad to hear that, Kaede," Himawari replied with relief.
"Are you helping Sakurako-chan with her homework again?" Kaede asked curiously with her head tilted.
"Yes, Kaede," Himawari replied with a nod. "You can play with her later after we finish our homework."
"Don't worry about that, Onee-chan," Kaede replied with a nod. "I'm sure Sakurako-chan wants to play with you."
"Erm… somehow I doubt that" Himawari replied with uncertainty.
"What do you mean?" Kaede asked in confusion. "Isn't that what you usually do when Sakurako come over?"
Himawari sighed at her. "I guess I cannot deny that."
"Also, aren't you going to bring the teas for Sakurako Onee-chan?" Kaede asked her, which prompts her elder sister to look at the teas.
"Ah, thank you for reminding me, Kaede," Himawari replied with a smile, and gave another rub on her hair.
"Hehehe," Kaede giggled for the compliment.
Himawari then stands up and picks a tray of teas off the counter. "Kaede-chan, if you need me, I'll be in my room."
"Okay, Onee-chan," Kaede happily replied.
"And by the way, you can take a bath first," Himawari added to her. "The bathtub's ready."
"Okay. Thank you, Onee-chan!" Kaede joyfully said before she ventures off to the living room with her milk.
After Kaede left the kitchen, Himawari ventured out to her room. Himawari didn't even bother to balance the tray in her hands because she already got used to it. Himawari also didn't even have to bother about Sakurako yelling at her about the tea she made. Now the only thing she would worry about is the homework and Sakurako's sleeping over her house. If Himawari wants to be honest, sometimes it's nice to have Sakurako around, albeit her dispute towards Himawari.
Himawari reached her room calmly and noticed that the door of her room is open. Himawari knew that Sakurako left it open on purpose. Probably because Sakurako knew Himawari would be coming with a tray of tea or left it open through laziness. Himawari leans over through the open door and found Sakurako lying on the floor. Her front faces down to the floor as she is reading a book.
Much to Himawari's irritation, she's reading a manga book.
Himawari shook her head and entered the room. "Sakurako, here's your tea."
"Himawari, you're late!" Sakurako berated as if she's her maid. "What took you so long?"
"Do you really expect that making tea was that fast?" Himawari asked back with a solemn look. "It takes time to brew a tea."
"Then why the tea I bought days ago is ready in a box?" Sakurako asked her, still scolding.
"That's because they already brewed it days ago and packed them in the box," Himawari replied as she put the tray on her table. "And they put them in the fridge for sell."
"Huh…" Sakurako only deadpanned at her for the moment. "Okay, then. Help me with the homework!"
"Jeez, take it easy, will you?" Himawari asked with a sigh. "I haven't taken and opened a book yet and-"
Himawari paused, realized what Sakurako is doing. "Hey, you even haven't open your notebook yet! You're just reading that manga instead of starting to do the homework!"
"That's because I'm waiting for you to borrow your homework," Sakurako responded as she closed her manga.
That did nothing but to annoy Himawari. "Go ahead and die over there."
"What?!" Sakurako responded angrily. "I can hear you, Baka!"
"Yeah, yeah," Himawari responded without care. "Just grab your homework, and we can get started."
Himawari gives a flat smile to the atmosphere of the room. Himawari only proceeds to grab the books from her bag and the rack on her study table. She also grabs her writing tools from her bag, along with additional ones from her desk. The only reason why Himawari bothered to bring out additional writing tools is also because of Sakurako. Because of how lazy she is on studying, she usually has nothing more than at least one writing tool.
There is at least three homework due for the next week, which are math, science, and art. One such homework, which is math, is despised so much by Sakurako. I mean, come on, who loves math around here? Those bloody algebras, calculus, and confusing numbers and alphabets that everyone would have a hard time to deal with. And even I can't remember all the formulas of the math.
Eh-hum. Back to the story.
The first homework they start to work on her art because it's Sakurako's favorite lesson. Usually, it involves a lot of drawing and not the studying part. A part that Sakurako liked so much. If Himawari remembered correctly, whenever Sakurako draws her, she doesn't add breasts to her drawing because Sakurako finds it demeaning.
It should be easy for Sakurako because all she needs to do is only to find the answers in the books if she's not too lazy to read a book and borrows Himawari's book after all. It's just too typical for her. Himawari unconsciously narrowed her eyes on that.
Before she gets the homework in hand, Sakurako called out to her. "Hey, Himawari."
"What is it?" Himawari asked as she looked to her.
"Nadeshiko-chan bought something for you," Sakurako replied as she grabs her small bag.
Himawari raised an eyebrow for that. "What did she but for me?"
Sakurako pulls out her potato chips and the Onigiri. "Here, this Onigiri is for you."
Himawari gave a curious look before she took the Onigiri from her. "What flavor?"
Sakurako only smiled and crossed her arms. "I don't know."
Himawari guessed it's the other way of saying she didn't ask. "Hmpf, thank you then, Sakurako."
"Hehe, I hope you like it," Sakurako giggled to herself.
"I like Onigiri," Himawari then changed to a bitter look at Sakurako. "This is better than the Onigiri you made for me."
"Hey, hey, hey!" Sakurako angered at the statement. "What do you mean by that!?"
"You still suck at cooking, that's what," Himawari added with a grumpy face. "I can't even eat the Onigiri you made because it was too salty."
"At least I made that just for you, Baka!" Sakurako berated at her. "Maybe because your boobs absorb too much salt that you can't stand to eat that Onigiri!"
"Are you asking for a fight now?!" Himawari retorted back to her. "No wonder you're not grown up yet just like me!"
"I'm getting sick of your oppai, Hima-baka!" Sakurako retorted back again. "I'm gonna beat your oppai off you!"
"Don't even think about it, you Baka!" Himawari retorted back and then paused for a moment. "Wait, aren't we going to do our homework?"
"Ah, yes," Sakurako added, before opening up her art notebook. "Help me finish this one!"
"Yeah, yeah," Himawari added sourly. "I'm coming."
Sakurako stands her back straight and reaches for her bag. And the first book she pulls out is her art notebook. Sakurako then grabbed her pen and headed for Himawari's study table. Himawari, on the other hand, grabs the small chair she kept in the corner of her room and puts it down next to Sakurako. Himawari then opens her art notebook on the table next to her.
The questions and problems present in their homework are mostly theory. There are a few of the problems that need to answer through drawings, which Sakurako likes. But Himawari needs to make sure that Sakurako doesn't draw anything out of the ordinary. There is this one time that she drew Himawari in her book before. The difference is that the drawing in her notebook displayed that Himawari's breasts are non-existent.
Sakurako got scolded by her teacher, of course. But then suddenly stated she cares Himawari so much. Which everyone found odd back at school, with both Himawari and Sakurako reject the teacher's statement.
Anyway, they began the homework, and they faced the first question.
"A shape that has height, length, and wide is called?" Sakurako asked, then pauses for a moment. "Is it 3D?"
Himawari raised an eye to her answer. "Yes. But write it down as 3rd Dimension."
"Okay," Sakurako then reads the next question. "What are the elements in art?"
Himawari knew she didn't remember this one. "Check the book next to you, Saku-chan."
"Okay, Oppai-chan!" Sakurako responded with a naughty smile.
Himawari gave a glare at her. "Nani datte?"
"Oppai-chan," Sakurako answered back, increasing Himawari's irritation.
"Stop calling me that already!" Himawari berated back at her. "You're such a fuss. Maybe that's why your breasts don't grow."
"EEEEHHH!?" Sakurako glared at her in anger, and she gritted her teeth. "You're just saying that because you hate me!"
Himawari looked away with a grumpy look. "Noisy!"
"Hmpf," Sakurako said to herself. "You're no fun."
"This is not the time for fun, Sakurako," Himawari added sternly. "And your homework is due next week. You can't delay the homework longer than it should."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever," Sakurako then continues to read the book next to her to find the answer.
Himawari closed her eyes for the moment while she is grumpy before she proceeded to look back at Sakurako. Her expression then changed to a sincere look. It's pretty odd considering she's with a girl she might despise most. However, it's much more than that.
Sakurako is her friend right from childhood. Despite her annoying behavior, she cares for Sakurako. But she might be too proud to admit that because of constant rivalries between the two girls. Himawari remembered she once asked Sakurako why she wanted to become a vice student council. The answer is obvious for everyone, Sakurako just hates it when she can't beat Himawari for the election. Their relationship can be said as frenemies if the situation permits.
Himawari then thought to herself as she watched Sakurako work on her homework. "This girl… I have to help her every time we have homework. As if I'm just some random housemaid."
Himawari then noticed that Sakurako had found some answers to her problems. "At least she could find the solutions for her problems. I'm pretty glad to see that."
Himawari began to work on her homework when she noticed Sakurako produced a groan. Sakurako's eyes are still on the homework and had a stern look on her face. Her hand is virtually on her chin as she has a hard time thinking about the problems she faced in her notebook. Himawari slowly looked over and noticed that there's one question she has a hard time to think.
"Huh, the answer for that question would be a bit long," Himawari thought to herself.
As Himawari is about to tell her, Sakurako raised her hands into the air. "Himawari!"
Then quickly smacks Hima's breasts. "Answer this one for me!"
"HYAAAHH!" Himawari is taken aback by the pain on her breasts and instinctively covers her breasts and backs away from Sakurako. "What was that for?!"
"Your boobs are annoying!" Sakurako responded quickly. "So stop using those boobs!"
"I have no idea what you are talking about," Himawari stated flatly, then looked over to Sakurako's homework. "But what's the problem?"
"Here, take a look," Sakurako points at the question she's having a problem with.
Sakurako at least has finished most of the problems in art, with only a very few questions answered by Himawari. They both then moving on to work on science homework. Sakurako found this topic very dull and ended up finishing at least a quarter of the homework, which is below Himawari's expectations. Sakurako maybe is as lazy as Kyouko, but she has terrible grades than Kyouko, ironically.
And then comes the math homework, the only homework Sakurako despised the most. The only formula she could understand is the only plus, minus, times, divide, and fractional number. Sakurako is pretty lucky to have Himawari in her aid. Himawari is smart in English and maths study; she is also a bit good on the social study. If there's someone Sakurako asks to help to do the math homework, that would be Himawari. And that is unfortunately for her.
Himawari tries her best to guide her through the homework with all of her best. Of course, with a lot of frustration and sincere on Himawari's side. Sakurako could only count the formula relates to addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Tiresome? Yes. If Sakurako is really not that gullible would be the otherwise. She's pretty gullible that Kyouko could fool her to become a jester.
So, in the end, Sakurako could answer three questions by herself. With another 17 questions have been answered by Himawari. They both are already tired of dealing with three kinds of homework. Sakurako is already sitting on the first bed of the double bed and continues to read her manga. Himawari only sighs and relaxes herself on the chair she's sitting in.
Himawari widens her eyes to a realization. She felt like they both did the homework that fasts. She began to be curious about the time they spent in the room and decidedly to look up to her clock to the right side of the room. She noticed the clock shows that it's already 6 PM. Himawari looked over to Sakurako, which to her disbelieve, Sakurako is eating her potato chips on the bed. Himawari immediately stood up from her seat.
"Why are you eating on my bed, Baka!?" Himawari retorted.
"What are you sayin'?" Sakurako asked with a raised brow. "I'll be sleeping in your bed today."
"First, you'll be sleeping in a futon. Second, that doesn't mean you are allowed to eat on the bed," Himawari replied as she gazed at her. "And you should take a bath now."
"Huh?" Sakurako raised an eyebrow and stopped eating for a moment. "What time is it?"
"It's already at six," Himawari replied as she pointed at the clock. "I'll go ahead and prepare the bathtub."
"Thank you, Hima-chan," Sakurako thanked with a cheerful smile. "I'll finish these chips then."
"I said get off the bed when you're eating," Himawari added in her mature voice. "I don't want my bed to be in such a mess. Also, you didn't forget your underwear and towel, right?"
"Ah, Himawari, you underestimate me," Sakurako replied proudly. "How could I-"
Sakurako halts her sentence in the process. It looks like she realized something from seeing that her hand is frozen in the air, along with the chip. Of course, Himawari couldn't help but give a blank stare at her friend.
Himawari flattens her eyes at her. "You forget the towel, didn't you?"
"Um…." Sakurako didn't say a word to her, enough to confirm her assumption.
Himawari sighs by the answer. "You can use my towel. Just don't play around with it."
"Okay!" Sakurako replied with a nod. "Oppai!"
Himawari only ignores the comment she made and proceeded to the bathroom. Such a loud girl, she is. But sometimes she could give some fun to several such people if she doesn't start a problem that is. Himawari only thought for a moment as to how to help increase her grades in the study, but she thinks that might be troublesome for both of them. She thought about that that she almost didn't realize she reached the bathroom.
Himawari turns the faucet on and fills the tub in. She also makes sure that the tub is filled with warm water since both she and Sakurako preferred that. She only sits there by the tub and waits for it to be full. Himawari only hummed into a song as she waits. Once the tub is full, she turns the faucet off and then headed for her room.
Once Himawari entered back to her room, she is dumbfounded by sight in front of her. Sakurako already opened her cabinet full of clothes. Himawari found that Sakurako is holding one of her huge bra from a drawer of the cabinet. Sakurako looked disgusted to the bra that she didn't notice Himawari walking in. Himawari looked terrified of the scene that she left her mouth open wide and with empty eyes.
Himawari runs forward and quickly smacks her head. "SAKURAKO-BAKA!"
She hits her so hard that she fell to the floor, and she dropped the bra off her hand.
Sakurako then glares at her as she holds her aching head. "WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT FOR!?"
"Why the hell are you checking my cabinet?!" Himawari asked back. "You pervert!"
"Who are you calling a pervert!?" Sakurako asked back in anger. "I hate your boobs!"
"Is that why you're holding my bra!?" Himawari angrily asked as she takes her bra back. "What the hell is wrong wit-"
"Onee-chan."
They both quickly stopped arguing and looked at the door. There, Kaede stood beside the door with such a concerned look on her face. Their angry faces have been replaced with a curious look. Kaede clutches her hands on her chest; she must be worried about what they are arguing.
"Kaede?" Himawari called with a raised brow. "What are you doing here?"
"I just want to see what is going on here," Kaede replied softly. "Is everything alright? I could hear you both screaming from downstairs."
"Nothing really," Himawari replied with a sigh, then looks back at Sakurako. "Sakurako was checking on my cabinet without my permission."
Kaede hummed with her head raised, then looked over to Sakurako. "Saku-Onee-chan, do you really hate oppai that much?"
Himawari is so surprised that it is her first assumption, but that might be normal since that's what Sakurako hates about Himawari.
"I uh…" Sakurako trailed off; she didn't think that far.
"Don't worry, Onee-chan," Kaede assured with an innocent smile. "I'm sure your oppai will grow one day. I can share mine with you when I grow up."
"E-ehm…" Sakurako can't help but find Kaede is charming to say that. "T-thanks, Kaede-chan."
"Anyway," Himawari interrupted and pointed her thumb to behind her. "The tub's ready. Wanna go ahead, first?"
"Yeah, sure," Sakurako stood up from the floor and grabbed her underwear.
Sakurako then "borrows" the towel that Himawari gave before walking out of the room. Himawari only watched her leave, of course, after she patted Kaede on the head. Himawari then leaves a smile as she looked at the sweet Kaede. Kaede then walks over to her elder sister, giving the best cutest look she has to her sister. Himawari loves the look she made that she proceeds to rub her head with such grace.
"We're sorry for making a loud noise, Kaede-chan," Himawari apologized to her.
"Don't worry about it, Onee-chan," Kaede happily replied. "I'm just happy that you two have stopped fighting."
"I hope we didn't really bother you that much," Himawari asked with a tone of concern.
"It's alright, Onee-chan," Kaede replied with a nod. "I only came here because I want to play with you and Sakurako-chan."
"Oh, really?" Himawari asked with a raised brow. "Then, we can play after Sakurako, and I take a bath."
"Yay!" Kaede is sure excited to play with them.
15 minutes later.
Both Himawari and Sakurako are already in their pajamas, with Kaede, who is already in her pajama as well. But Himawari's and Sakurako's pajamas are a particular case. The pajamas are actually animal suits; it was thanks to Kyouko that they have those. Kaede seems to be excited to see them in their animal suits.
Sakurako's animal suit takes the form of a cute chicken. It's in a mix of white and red color, with the hood of her pajama resembles a female chicken head. Himawari has no idea why she's okay with that suit. Maybe it resembles how gullible she is, or maybe because she just likes it. Himawari sees that as stupid, not sure how Sakurako thinks about that.
Himawari, on the other hand, wore a different animal suit. Her suit is a fluffy bunny suit. The whole suit is colored in grey with a white oval on the front torso. The hood of her suit resembles the head of a bunny, colored white on the nose down to the mouth. Aside from the ears attributing to the suit, it has a small bunny tail on the bottom. It is rather "fitting" for her to wear that, considering that she looked cute in the suit.
Kaede may not have the animal suit like the two girls, but she's in her usual pajamas. The color of her pajamas is light blue—fluffy edges around the bottom of her shirt and the sleeve. In the middle of her pajama shirt is a drawing of a cute little cat that is sleeping in its fetal position.
For now, the three girls are currently playing Scrabbles. The English kind of Scrabbles, mind you. And, of course, Kaede is the one who wanted to play that game. It is not much of a surprise for Himawari, but Sakurako surprised of this revelation since this is an English theme game. Sakurako couldn't protest to Hima's little sister, however, and decided to play along and probably try to learn a few words. Sakurako still sucks in English.
In one such moment, It's Himawari's turn to put in the letters. The letters she had been a bit difficult. Five A letters and the rest are random consonants. As Himawari thinks what letters to put, Kaede turns to look at Sakurako. Kaede raised a brow and a tilted head after seeing Sakurako's serious expression.
"Sakurako Onee-chan," Kaede called, which caught her sister's attention. "Is something wrong?"
"No, not really," Sakurako vaguely replied. "Just thinking about something."
"About what?" Himawari asked with a raised brow.
"Hmm…" Sakurako paused for a moment, before looking up to Himawari. "Ey, Himawari. Wanna sleepover at my house tomorrow?"
Himawari gives a flat smile. "Why would I want to?"
"Because I want to!" Sakurako replied, her arms flailed in the air.
Himawari only sighs in response. "What are you up to now?"
"I want to have a sleepover party in my house tomorrow," Sakurako happily replied as she's fiddling with her Scrabble stand. "I have nothing to do tomorrow, so I want our friends to come and play."
"I see," Himawari paused, processing the particular two words that came out from her mouth. "I wonder what your plans are for the sleepover."
"Games!" Sakurako replied excitedly. "Lots of games!"
"Aside from that?" Himawari asked, closing her eyes to give the impression.
"Eeehh…" Sakurako's brain is receiving an error at this point.
"Snacks, futons," Himawari added. "And you need to clean up your bedroom. Nobody wants to sleep in your messy room."
"Uh, you're so fussy," Sakurako complained with an ugly pout.
"I mean it, Sakurako," Himawari sternly added. "I don't want to sleep in a disordered room."
"Hey, that's not even your room," Sakurako replied in annoyance. "That's my room."
"That is not the point," Himawari replied, then gives a huff. "But I will help you to prepare the food and snacks for the sleepover."
"Yay!" Sakurako cheered with her hands in the air.
"Anyway," Himawari then looks up to Kaede then to Sakurako. "Who are you inviting this time?"
"Akari and Chinatsu-chan," Sakurako replied as it's Kaede's turn to put the Scrabble letters on the board.
"Again?" Himawari asked with a raised brow. "I guess I can't help with that. It's your turn."
Sakurako looked down onto the boards, hovering over the letters she had. "Hmm… this is difficult."
"That's because you're lazy to study English," Himawari scolded in.
"Get out of town!" Sakurako retorted again.
"Now, now, Onee-chan," Kaede gently said. "Let's keep playing."
"Okay, Kaede," Himawari added with a nod. "Come on, Sakurako. Don't tell me you didn't find a word."
"Just give me a minute," Sakurako looked on her letters and the board periodically, and she found a word. "A-hah!"
Sakurako then puts out four letters from her stand. She then puts it horizontally next to the letter B on the board. After putting them, Himawari and Kaede looked over to the letters she just put. It was enough to make Himawari gives empty eyes.
B-O-O-B-S
Both Kaede and Himawari looked up to Sakurako, with only Himawari, who gave an irritating look.
"Seriously?"
"What?"
10:00 PM.
It's night, and the house is ready to set to sleep. Kaede is already asleep on the second bunk bed. Himawari is already in her bunk bed, while Sakurako is already in the futon Himawari provided to her. Sakurako complained to Himawari, stating that Himawari should be in the futon. And the next thing Sakurako received was a hit to the head.
Her bag of clothes and books is settled on Himawari's desk. Sakurako has no more worries for tomorrow with Himawari playing and helping her out. Sakurako settles herself down onto the futon, lies down and covers herself with the provided blanket. Himawari hasn't used her blanket yet, but she's already comfortable to sleep.
Sakurako only has her sleepy eyes on the ceiling, humming lowly to herself. Sakurako then turns her head to Himawari, who is about to sleep. Himawari glanced at Sakurako by chance and gave a curious look back at Sakurako. Sakurako then looks back to the ceiling after Himawari looked.
"Is something wrong, Saku-chan?" Himawari asked with a raised brow.
"Nothing, really," Sakurako replied without glancing at her. "I'm just wondering how do you look like when you're sleeping."
Himawari lets out a scoff. "Try to get past my fist first."
"Eeeei," Sakurako sorely replied. "I was just wondering."
"Just sleep already," Himawari replied with her eyes closed, then turn her body away from Sakurako.
"Fine," Sakurako replied flatly. "Good night, Hima-chan."
"Good night, Sakurako," Himawari responded before she is finally asleep.
Sakurako then stares back at Himawari, who is already fall asleep. Sakurako might be such a naughty and cheerful girl, even with her annoying antics. But it is rare to have her felt so lonely. Sakurako only puts her hands under the pillow and hugs her head tight. She then finally closes her eyes to fall asleep.
It's time to rest for the next day.
