Contains mental breakdown (or not...i'm not that good at writing those so...) and memory problems...It's just hurt and angst

Hiccup stared up at his ceiling. After explaining his strange dream to his friend, he had returned to his room and was sitting with Toothless. He rubbed his dragon's shiny scale. He sighed, and sat up.

Toothless perked up, sensing his friend's distress.

"Nah, it's nothing, bud. I just had a bad dream."

He patted the dragon's head.

This was normal.

This was how it was supposed to be.

But why?

Why did Hiccup feel so empty.

Why did he feel so sad because of this silence?

This was how it was…

"But why…why do I feel so sad…?" Hiccup whispered.

Tears were falling down his cheeks as he stared at his dragon. Toothless moaned his sorrow and nudged him.

The silence was so, so loud.

Flow of images and voices flooded his mind as his knees dropped under him.

[Hiccup]

[Do…u…mber…us…]

[Hiccup]

[Hiccup…]

[We…iss…yo…]

[Ca…ou…hear…us?]

[Hiccup!]

[Wak…up!]

[Hiccup]

"Why! Is! It! So! Loud!" Hiccup screamed.

Voices of people that he had never heard of rang inside his head.

But was it really?

Images.

Or memories.

He didn't know.

[Hiccup! Hiccup! Wake up!]

Hiccup blinked away the tears and looked up. Toothless was looking at him with worry.

[Are you okay?]

"How - how?" he panted.

[What are you talking about, Hiccup? It was always like this.]

"But dragons can't talk?!"

[Are you sure you are okay?]

Hiccup grabbed his head and staggered.

"I -I think I need to take…a..short nap…" he muttered.

Black.

" - iccup!"

I don't want to get up.

[Wake up!]

I feel so tired.

"You have class in five minutes!"

Why.

[You have work to do!]

Let this be a dream.

"Hiccup!"

Home…

When Hiccup opened his eyes again, he was in his room. Toothless's head was on his lap and his head still felt as if someone was banging a hammer in it.

"Ugh," he moaned as he sat up.

"We were worried!" said a voice, when the door opened.

Hiccup looked up to see Astrid. She was holding a tray of food.

"Wha -?" asked Hiccup.

"You don't remember? You crashed into a cliff yesterday. Toothless barely saved you in time!" cried Astrid, sitting down next to him.

She placed the tray of food on his nightstand.

"But - but that never happened!"

"You must have bumped your head hard. Don't worry, Gothie did a fine job."

"Yeah…" mumbled Hiccup. "But I still feel like I'm forgetting something."

"Get some rest. Don't over work yourself," said Astrid.

And with that she left the room.

Hiccup groaned again.

"Yeah…I should really get up," he said, stretching. "It's not like I'm forgetting something that important."

Very short...

I worked on this for a while, but this is just...weird...

This oneshot is about the aftermath of the time travel. Hiccup has some flashbacks, but in the end he forgets everything about Hogwarts and everything else. Nothing much really. I hope you enjoyed!

This was so hard for me to write now that I'm no longer in the fandom...

Oh and if you want you can ask me questions. It can be about this AU or about myself (as long it's not too personal. Like where I live and how old I am and stuff like that.). I'll be sure to answer all your questions in the next oneshot.(If I get inspiration that is.)
