Chapter 1

Oswald smiled down at the young mouse playing on the floor with an old set of wooden blocks. He leaned over and picked one up that had gotten knocked to the side and gave it to the little girl. "Here you go," he offered.

The girl smiled up at him and took the block in both hands, letting out a laugh as she sat it atop her tower.

"She must only be about a year old," Ortensia realized as she took a seat on the floor beside Oswald. "Can she say any other words?"

Oswald shook his head. "Doesn't seem like it."

"Aunt Ortensia?" Ferdie asked, drawing the cat's attention up as Ferdie walked into the living room with a piece of paper in his hand. He handed it to her and asked, "Is this good?"

Ortensia took the paper and turned it around to read it. The center held a picture of the little girl that had been taken right after they had taken her down from Clara's back with, in big bold letters, Found above her. The bottom read, "On June 10 this little girl was found on Bill Drive. If you know anything about her, please call the Mouseton Police Department."

Ortensia handed it back and said, "It looks great, but wait till Uncle Mickey's off the phone before you print out anymore."

"Okay," Ferdie said with a nod. He looked down at the girl, her now looking up at him, as he added, "Too bad she can't seem to say her name."

The girl's attention got caught by movement behind Ferdie. A wide smile overtook her face as she hurriedly pushed herself to her feet. "Daddy!" she exclaimed, making a wobbled run to Mickey as he pulled his cell away from his head. He gave the girl a smile as she hugged tight to his legs. He put the cell in his pocket and leaned down to pick her up, holding onto her at his hip so he could walk over to his family. "O'Hara hasn't heard of any child fitting her description but he said he'd ask around the other cities."

"So for now, you're stuck with babysitting?" Oswald asked, leaning back on his hands behind himself.

"I guess, I'm not sure what I'll do tomorrow when I have to go to the studio," Mickey realized, looking at the girl on his hip as she rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes. "Somebody's had a busy morning, haven't you?"

The front door opened up as Minnie said, "There are defiantly rumors going around now." She used her hip to close the door, holding onto a brown shopping bag in both hands and looked at the gathering in Mickey's living room.

"Mama," the girl said, sleep evident in her voice as she lifted her head up from Mickey's shoulder. Mickey smiled as he gave her head a pat, pushing her back to lay it against his shoulder.

Ortensia rose up to her feet and reached into the bag, pulling out a pack of diapers. She stepped over to Mickey and said, "Come on, Love, let Aunt Ortensia take you."

The girl took a look at the cat and shook her head before hiding her face in the crook of Mickey's shoulder. "Daddy," she said.

Mickey let out a sigh, grabbing the diapers from his sister-in-law. "I'll do it. At least with these I won't need help."

"Call me if you have problems taking off her fabric one," Ortensia said as the two headed off towards the bathroom. Ortensia turned around to find Oswald pulling out everything else from Minnie's shopping bag, finding a few cans of baby food, a pacifier, teddy bear, and a bottle.

"She doesn't seem like the type who'd need a pacy," Oswald said, holding up the small plastic.

"I wasn't sure so I figured I'd get it anyway," Minnie admitted. "Mickey didn't give me much to go on."

"We don't have a lot either," Oswald pointed out, grabbing the items as he rose to his feet. He carried the newly bought items to the kitchen table, taking a look at the brown bear she had picked out.

"Uhm, Ortensia!" Mickey's panic filled voice called out.

Oswald let out a laugh as he turned back to the living room, calling out, "I thought you'd changed diapers before, Mick!" He followed the girls and Ferdie up the stairs.

"Not magical ones!" Mickey hissed, stepping backwards out of the bathroom as he kept facing the small room.

The four joined Mickey, Morty stepping out of his room at the commotion, only for the five to see what scared Mickey. The sleeping little girl laid on her back on a blanket laid out on the floor to change her, but everything else not bolted to the floor was floating in the air.

"Cool!" Morty exclaimed, stepping up to stand by Mickey only to quickly be pulled back by Ortensia. He looked up at the cat and said," Hey!"

"Well now what do we do?" Oswald asked.

"What was that girl's name, the white mouse that could do magic that helped rescue Oswald?" Minnie asked, looking at Mickey. "Wasn't her name Manny? Maybe she might know something about this little girl."

"Well, if she fell through a natural portal, that would explain a few things," Mickey mumbled absently. He let out a sigh as he looked at the sleeping girl. "But we still have to change her diaper."

"Maybe let her sleep, we can change her once she's awake," Ortensia said, holding both hands on Morty's shoulders. "Until then, maybe you could fill us is. We know Manny's from..." Ortensia took a moment before settling on, "another dimension or..."

"Maybe I should tell you the story downstairs," Mickey said, giving the sleeping girl a glance.

-.-.-.-

Oswald took a seat on the sofa with the girls, leaving Mickey the recliner and the twins to sit on the floor. All eyes fell on the mouse as he leaned forward in his chair with his elbows resting on his knees. "It wasn't that I was ever under any secrecy but..." Mickey let his voice trail off as he looked down at the boys sitting cross legged below him. He let out a sigh and looked up at the three on the sofa. "Do you know of an old English styled pub in the Victorian area of town?"

"It's over there by that antique shop, right?" Oswald asked.

"Yeah," Mickey said with a nod of his head. "The owner of that place gets involved as well, but the pub's called the White Mouse. It acts as a meeting house for this dimension and others. Guides are those from magical dimensions and Travelers are those without magic but to solve some problems they need the mind set of both and through a weird happenstance, I became a Traveler."

"So that means you had a Guide?" Ferdie asked. "Why type of magic did he have?"

"Pipwolf's a werewolf," Mickey answered. "The one who seemed to be in charge of us was Manny, she was from the Realm of the Impossible. I was told it had other names as well but that's the one that made the most sense."

"Do you think her or anyone at the White Mouse might be able to help us with this little girl?" Minnie asked.

Mickey paused a moment as he sat up only to shrug. "Maybe. It's worth a shot anyway."

"I think it might be best if we wait until she's woken up," Ortensia looked up as a rubber duck fell down the stairs with a squeak.
