Ryou's P.O.V.:

"Thank you, Ryou." Everyone thanked me for taking them to my family's private beach house.

"It's so nice here." I heard Ichigo say, looking around.

"It's beautiful here." I heard Lettuce marvel.

"It's quiet." Zakuro stated, looking around.

"It's huge!" There goes Pudding.

"It's bigger than Mint's beach house." Berry noted, teasing Mint.

"Why have we never been here before?" Mint asked, pouting a little.

"Thanks for inviting us." The new girls: Keki, Kurumi, Mikuri, and Karin, graciously thanked me again.

The guys were all just looking around.

"I wish Tart was here." Pudding complained.

Kish, Tart, Pie, Pretzel, and Éclair couldn't be here today; they had something they had to do.

"Ryou, are you going to be ok." Keiichiro asked, concerned.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I lied.

I haven't been here since I was nine.

All the memories I have with my parents. With them. With—her.

God, I miss her. What I wouldn't give just see her again—to hold her again.

"Is something wrong?" The girls asked, watching me.

"It's nothing." I lied again, leaning back in my chair.

"Just let him be, girls. Go have fun." Keiichiro told the girls.

I could tell that Ichigo, Mint, Berry, Pudding, and Mikuri were not going to let it go; they were the nosey bunch.

Ichigo Momomiya is now fifteen but still the same ditzy girl she was when she first started. She and Masaya are still dating, from what I understand. Her hair got a little longer, and she got a little taller. But for the most part, she's still the same.

Mint Aizawa is also fifteen; she's still a lazy brat when working at the café. But she does help when it counts. She only got taller: everything else is still the same. She's still single: Ichigo says that's because she's so self-centered.

Berry Shirayuki is also fifteen, and like Ichigo, is still the same ditzy girl she was when we first met. She and Tasuku are still happily dating. Berry got taller and cut her hair so that it's now just a little past her shoulders instead of down to her waist.

Pudding Fong is now twelve, shot up in height, grew her hair down to her shoulders, and wears it in two pigtails. She's still chasing Tart around—and is trying to get him to date her. I think she's getting there. She's still the same hyper-child we met three years ago.

Mikuri Hojo is new. She's twelve, is two inches taller than Pudding, has waist-length dark brown hair and brown eyes, and is hyper just like Pudding and enjoys playing basketball. She is infused with the DNA of the Kipunji Monkey. Despite what her parents think, she is dating her best friend, Tomoya Nakamura.

Lettuce, Kurumi, and Karin were worried and wanted to say something but wouldn't out of respect for me.

Lettuce Midorikawa is now sixteen and still somewhat shy. But I'll give her credit; she has come out of her shell more. She no longer wears her hair in those braids; she just lets it flow. She had a growth spurt about two years ago and has stopped growing.

Kurumi Hojo is new and is sixteen. She is taller and in dance classes—mainly contemporary. She's not really all that shy—after you get to know her. She has shoulder-length dark brown hair and hazel eyes. She is infused with the DNA of the Golden-Cheeked Warbler. She is dating Makoto Takimuro. Nakamura

Karin Hoshino is also newer—as in, she showed up six months after the defeat of the Saint Rose Crusaders. She just turned nineteen, has waist-length maroon hair and light brown eyes. She's single as far as I know and loves spending most of her time baking or cooking. She is infused with the DNA of the Hawaiian Monk Seal.

Zakuro, Keki, and the guys I'm sure care, but they leave me alone because they believe in giving me my privacy.

Zakuro Fujiwara is now eighteen and is still the same in just about every way. However, she's more of a team player, spends more time with the girls, and doesn't scare the customers anymore. And she's dating Keiichiro now. Nobody saw that one coming.

Keki is the final new girl and just turned eighteen. She has long orange hair, brown eyes and is of average height. She's a model/country singer and has little time for dating. Well, that's what she says anyway. In reality, she just doesn't like the creeps who hit on her. She is infused with the DNA of the Fennec Fox.

Makoto Takimuro is sixteen with dark blonde hair and green eyes. He's known about the girls being Mew Mews since the beginning because he just so happened to be there.

Tomoyo Nakamura is thirteen with short black hair and dark brown eyes. He just found out about the girls being Mew Mews.

Keiichiro Akasaka, now twenty-four, is still my best friend/brother. He cut his hair last year; it's now just gotten back to his shoulders, and he's dating Zakuro. He's always there for me—and always seemed concerned—more so these past few weeks.

Tasuku Meguro, now fifteen, is still dating Berry. He's a good kid.

Masaya Aoyama, now fifteen, is still dating Ichigo. There's not a lot I can think to say about him—other than I still can't stand him. More or less—especially in the past year or so, I just trust him less and less.

Three Hours Later:

"Hmm. I didn't think we were supposed to get weather today." Keiichiro spoke up, looking around.

"What happened?" I asked, confused.

"You fell asleep." Ichigo plainly told me.

"What's with the weather?" I asked, looking up.

It was supposed to be clear skies all day.

"That's what I was wondering as well." Keiichiro agreed, looking around.

After a few seconds, the wind picked up, and we heard thunder off in the distance.

"Maybe we should head out." Masaya suggested, looking at me.

"Right." I sighed, standing up.

"WAHHH!" We heard someone scream.

"What was that?" The girls asked, worried, looking around.

"I don't know. But be on the ready." I instructed.

Just then, this—thing fell from the sky.

"What is that?" Mint asked right away as something weakly floated up.

"Who or what are you?!" Ichigo demanded, and then I saw it.

"Ichigo, wait! Don't attack it!" I yelled, looking at the thing.

The creature was a fuzzy, ice blue colored, round cat-like creature, with three small pink diamond-shaped jewels on its head.

"Ryou?" The girls asked, concerned as I walked over to the thing.

"Ryou?" The thing repeated the girls, looking up.

"Moko?" I asked, looking at it.

"Moko!" Someone yelled.

"Get away from him!" Someone else yelled, running over.

Just then, two men appeared, running down the beach.

"This is private property." "Stop." I interrupted Mint.

One of the men had short brown hair, brown eyes, and freckles all over his face; he was also wearing glasses.

The other man was younger, had short, dark orange hair and brown eyes; he has some freckles here and there and wears glasses.

I didn't recognize the one, but the younger one: he looked familiar.

"Ryou?" The others asked, shocked.

"Ryou? Not Ryou Shirogane?" The younger man asked, looking me up and down.

"Yes." The one thing and I answered at the same time.

"Are you two ok?" Lettuce asked, concerned, looking at the two men who just looked like they had seen a ghost.

"Hey! Did you find her yet?!" Two more men yelled, running over.

One of them was a little older with short, dark orange hair and green eyes; he has three freckles on each side of his face and wears glasses.

The other one was around my age with short orange hair with a blonde undertone and brown eyes; he also had a face full of freckles.

"Oh. Hey, Ryou." They greeted me once they reached us.

"Hey." I replied, waiting for something to happen.

"Wait. Ryou? Ryou Shirogane?" They both asked, shocked.

"That's me." I replied.

"That's not possible." The older of the two responded, shocked.

"Well it is." I replied.

"If you're really Ryou Shirogane, who are we? Huh? Huh? Huh?" The one roughly my age asked, bouncing from foot to foot

"You're the Tsukihana boys. Kaito and Sora's sons, right? Is Miyuki with you as well?" I answered and then asked, shocking them.

"You don't remember our first names, do you?" The second oldest of the four asked, looking at me.

"No. Sorry." I apologized.

"But he can remember Miyuki." The youngest of the four grumbled.

"Yeah, well, there's a reason for that—and you know it." The oldest replied, shaking his head.

"What's going on?" Ichigo, Berry, and Mint asked, confused.

"Umm… We've never met, but I'm Rei; I'm the second oldest out of my brothers and Miyuki. This is Riku, Haruto or Haru, and Kaito Jr. I'm sorry if we seem rude or anything. It's just…" "You're dead!" Rei started explaining before being interrupted by Kaito.

Rei Tsukihana: he short brown hair, brown eyes, and freckles all over his face; he also wears glasses from time to time for reading.

Riku Tsukihana: he has short, dark orange hair and brown eyes; he has some freckles here and there and wears glasses pretty much all the time.

Haruto (Haru) Tsukihana: he has short, dark orange hair and green eyes; he has three freckles on each side of his face and wears glasses for reading.

Kaito Jr. Tsukihana: he has short orange hair with a blonde undertone and brown eyes. He also has a face full of freckles and is the only one without glasses.

"Kaito!" Riku snapped, smacking Kaito over the head.

"What?" Kaito snapped back, holding his head.

"We don't mean to be so—brash, I think is a good word, but we were told you and your family were dead. Something about a fire ripping through your home. However, I suppose we should've seen that was a lie. Damn him!" Rei explained before snapping.

"Well, for the most part, it was true. My parents are dead, but Keiichiro and I weren't home when it happened." I replied.

"Oh. Well. Sorry for your loss." Rei awkwardly gave his condolences.

"Thank you, but it's not your fault. And it's done and over with; I've done my mourning. How are all of you?" I replied, watching them.

I could tell just by looking at their faces that something was wrong.

"Well, we're glad you're doing well—and alive. You being alive is probably the best news we've gotten in a long time. Ummm…" "Where's Miyuki? How is she?" Rei started saying. But I just had to stop him; I had to know how Miyuki was.

"Well?" I asked after a few minutes of silence.

"We don't know." Haruto answered, looking at us.

"What do you mean you don't know?" I asked, panicked.

"Don't do that. Panicking will get any of us nowhere." Rei started telling me.

"Not that we're not happy to see you, but I think the question Ryou's not asking is: what are you doing back here?" Keiichiro spoke up, watching the brothers.

"Our world has pretty much been destroyed. Grandpa was trying to force Miyuki to marry some guy who would ultimately control ever aspect of her life. Well, then a different man, who was obsessed with Mom, came and took Miyuki during the wedding ceremony. I honestly don't know how Miyuki feels about that because we know she was severely unhappy/depressed about Grandpa forcing her to marry some guy she didn't know. But last we knew; Dad and Taiyo went to get her from that man." Rei explained, watching me.

"And the plan was to bring her here—to your world. Unfortunately, we don't know your world." Haruto added.

"Dad's the one who sent us here; he's the only one with the ability to travel from one world to another." Riku spoke up, looking around.

"It would've been nice if he had told us where to go—or given us directions." Kaito complained.

"Kaito!" Rei snapped at Kaito.

"What? It's true? The only ones who know this world are Dad and Taiyo—and they both took off to find Miyuki. Which, I understand. But Dad should've sent Taiyo here with us and taken one of us with him." Kaito defended himself.

"It won't be long now." A female voice cryptically spoke out of nowhere.

"Oh, gre—" "No! Don't you dare say a single world. We don't need another mess with her." Kaito started only to have Riku tackle him.

"We're still in debt to her." Rei firmly told Kaito, shaking his head.

"We were just trying to save our sister! If she'd just tell us what she wanted for payment instead of giving us stupid riddles; we wouldn't be running out of time!" Kaito yelled.

"No! Miyuki, stop! There's nothing we can do! Stop! Hold on!" We heard yelling from above us.

Seconds later, two people went crashlanding into the water.

"It's ok. I have you. I have you. Stop! It's not your fault!" We heard the man yelling at Miyuki.

"Taiyo?! Miyuki?!" Rei, Riku, Haruto, and Kaito all ran to the water.

"Thank God." The man, Taiyo, mumbled, flipping Miyuki over his shoulder.

"Are you ok? What happened?" Kaito asked, concerned as Taiyo made his way over with Miyuki.

"Who are they?" Taiyo asked, ignoring Kaito.

"I don't know who any of them are. But this is Ryou Shirogane and his friend, Keiichiro." Rei answered, seeing something in Taiyo's eyes.

"Where's Dad?" Haruto asked, looking around.

"Dad's dead—and yes, Miyuki witnessed it. We were trying to get away when Prince whatever his name is, shot Dad's arrow back at him. However, Dad knew it was going to happen because he stayed back. I tried to get her out of there as fast as I could. I just wasn't fast enough. Now, which one is Ryou?" Taiyo answered and then asked, walking over to us.

Taiyo Tsukihana: he has shoulder-length light brown hair, green eyes, and was wearing a red bandana around his neck.

"I'm Ryou." I spoke up.

"Oh. Good. You make it easy for me." Taiyo groaned, walking over to me.

"Final payments have been made." The female voice from earlier spoke before going quiet.

"What the hell?! What was our payments?!" Kaito snapped.

"Blood offering from each of us. Just a drop of blood. Now, shut up. Miyuki, you remember Ryou, yes? He's not dead; Grandpa lied to you." Taiyo answered and then snapped at Kaito before setting Miyuki down in front of me.

"Taiyo?" Rei asked, concerned.

"Shut up! Miyuki, none of what happened today was your fault. So, stop blaming yourself. Ryou. You remember Ryou, yes? Look. He's going to take care of you from now on just like we all promised you years ago." Taiyo snapped before firmly telling Miyuki.

"Taiyo, what the hell is going on?!" Riku demanded.

"For fuck's sake! Shut up! If I have to say it, you're blinder than a bat! I was hit and am dying! I am trying to get this done and over with so that Miyuki doesn't have to see me die as well! Ryou, you're in charge of taking care of Miyuki. You are to do everything you can to keep her safe—that includes marking and mating her. Or at least marking her as yours. I know you know about it; I know your mother told you at one point. She is in danger otherwise. She stays with you wherever you live. Dad left Rei, Riku, Haruto, and Kaito their own places. They will be fine; Miyuki is your only concern. The which said her ears and tail will disappear when the time is right. Her powers should be coming into play soon enough. That means, the next time she falls asleep, she's in the sleep. It depends on the person: she could sleep for a few hours. Or she could sleep straight through for a few weeks. Don't attempt to wake her; she needs to wake naturally on her own or she could lose any powers or abilities she supposed to receive. Or worse: she could go into a coma for months. You promise me you'll watch over her." Taiyo snapped before speaking directly to me.

"I promise to protect her. But we have hospitals; we can get you help." I replied, watching Taiyo cough up some blood.

"There is no helping me—not if I want to keep Miyuki safe. It's a long story. No. You stay here with Ryou and stay safe. Don't shut down. Don't shut Ryou or your brothers out. Open up and make friends. And remember: none of this is your fault. Mom. Dad. Me. It's not your fault we were killed. I love you so very much. Take care and stay safe. Don't let her try to follow me. Take care of Miyuki and each other." Taiyo replied before telling Miyuki, kissing her forehead before pushing her down.

"Miyuki!" I called, pulling her to me when she tried getting up.

And just like that, Taiyo was gone—and a vortex of blood replaced him.

"Ahhh! Ahhhh! Ahhhh! Ahhh!" I listened to Miyuki scream and cry until she passed out in my chest.

I didn't say anything.

Fuck.

After that, I couldn't say anything.

What could anybody say about that?

I had never seen anything like that before.

Miyuki (Miyuki) Tsukihana: she is now fifteen. She has long light orange, almost peach-colored hair that reached her lower back tied up into two high pigtails. Her eyes are emerald-green, and she still has five freckles on each side of her face. She also still had her tan cat ears and tail.

Rei and Riku stood there, kicking into the water.

Haruto sat there, too stunned to do anything else.

Kaito was stomping around, yelling obscenities.

"Now what?" Berry asked, watching everything going on around us.

"What's going on?" Mint asked, annoyed.

Honestly, right now, I didn't care what anyone thought.

"I'm taking Miyuki home now. You can all do what you want." I told everyone, standing with Miyuki in my arms.

"As her brothers, you're welcome to come and stay as well." I told Rei, Riku, Haruto, and Kaito on the way to the bus.

Everyone followed along.

Sadly, it was just an empty threat because I couldn't drive the bus—the only one who could was Keiichiro.

Miyuki, I'm so sorry. I wish I knew how to help you better…
