Jane's house
'Does that hurt?' Hetty asked while tapping Jane's left leg.
'Hetty, this is silly.' Jane scoffed.
'I don't think so. You walked in with a limp, and that usually means you're injured! And before your kids left to be with their dad for the weekend, I specifically promised that I would take care of you. So, please don't make this difficult.'
'Smirk. What are you, a mom?'
'Hey, I deal with 6 agents that love to act like overgrown children! That should qualify!' Hetty amusingly replied. 'Now (tapping her right leg), does that hurt?'
That's when Jane winced.
'Ha! You winced. That means you somehow hurt your right leg. Care to explain?'
'Aw darn it.' Jane thought in defeat. 'I was chasing after a suspect when I tripped over a rock. Hit my knee pretty good. Now what are you going to do? Send me to my room? Make me soup like I'm a sick kid?'
Hetty laughed. 'No! Well, other then tell you to please stay off that leg if it's hurting you. You're really funny!'
'I know. You are too.' Jane replied. Smiling.
'Well, if you need any help, I'll be in the other room.'
'She is so sweet.' Jane thought after Hetty walked out.
