Addison's eyes flickered open as the sun seeped through her drapes. She stretched before sitting up in bed.
"Ow." She winced, her hand going to her head. She was definitely hungover.
"Morning sunshine." Owen said as he walked into her room, holding two mugs of coffee.
"No you're too loud." She groaned.
"Hungover?" He laughed, handing her a mug.
"It's not funny." She frowned, sipping the hot drink.
"Here." Owen placed two painkillers in her hand.
"Thanks." She swallowed the pills.
"So..." Owen began as he sat next to her on the bed.
"Are we gonna talk about last night?"
"You mean, you kissing me and then sleeping in my bed?" Addison accused.
"You asked me to." Owen furrowed his brow.
"Relax. I'm kidding." She smirked.
"Okay. But we do need to talk." Owen said.
"Talk about what? It was just a kiss, Owen."
"What?" He asked, a puzzled expression on his face.
"God, don't tell me you're in love with me or something." Addison laughed as she stood up from the bed, moving over to her closet.
"Addison, why are you being like that?"
"Like what?" She batted her eyelashes at him.
"Like you weren't upset last night."
"I was drunk, Owen." She scoffed.
"We kissed and then you slept in my arms all night! And now you're back to this." He snapped.
"Back to what?" She looked at him, hands on her hips.
"Acting like a prestigious bitch!" He yelled.
"I don't know what you're talking about. Now I have to get ready, close your door on the way out." She ordered.
"Screw you, Addison." He spat before storming out of the room, slamming the door harshly behind him.
"Wait, wait, wait. He kissed you?" Naomi's voice came from Addison's phone.
"Yes. Well, I tried to kiss him first but he didn't want too." Addison sighed.
"He's insane." Naomi said.
"Exactly."
"So what happened next?"
"I ran away to the bar, he followed me and carried me out... I think."
"What?!" Naomi shrieked.
"Relax, Nai." Addison laughed.
"Addison, I'm at college. All I do is study. Please give me gossip."
"Fine. He took me home, came into my room, kissed me and slept next to me."
"You had sex with him?" Naomi gasped.
"No Naomi." Addison rolled her eyes.
"Oh. So what happened this morning?"
"Nothing." Addison sighed.
"What do you mean nothing?"
"Well he wanted to talk about it but..."
"But what?"
"I kind of brushed it off, told him it wasn't a big deal."
"Addison!" Naomi scolded.
"What?" Addison groaned.
"Why?"
"He needed a taste of his own medicine." Addison said.
"Oh, Addison Montgomery. You are evil." Naomi laughed.
"Why thank you." Addison grinned as she hung up the phone.
It was later in the evening when Addison waltzed into the main living room, glass of wine in hand.
"I'm going out." Addison announced.
"You mean we." Owen corrected.
"Yeah, whatever. Be ready in an hour." She instructed.
"Where are we going?" Owen questioned.
"To a club."
"A club?" Owen raised his eyebrows.
"Are you deaf?" Addison snipped.
"Are you sure that's a good idea after last night?"
"You're not my babysitter, remember?"
"God forbid I should care about your safety."
"Well good thing you're coming with me then." Addison forced a smile as she spun around, walking away.
Owen had been pacing up and down the foyer for about fifteen minutes. Addison was taking forever to get ready.
"Addison! What's taking you so long?" His voice echoed up the marble stair case.
"I'll be two minutes!" She yelled back.
"You said that ten minutes ago!" He hollered.
Finally, Addison appeared at the top of the staircase. When Owen looked up at her he had to forcibly stop his mouth from falling open. She looked stunning. He watched her as she walked down the steps, she was wearing a short black dress with strappy heels. Her scarlet locks were loosely curled, framing her face perfectly. Owen couldn't take his eyes off of her.
"What are you staring at?" She smirked as she moved towards him.
"Nothing." He avoided her eyes.
"I don't believe you." She whispered, moving closer to him. The scent of her sweet, floral perfume drifted up his nostrils and he found himself fighting the urge to grab hold of her and kiss her.
"You look… stunning." He spoke quietly.
Addison couldn't stop the small smile that appeared on her lips.
"We should get going." She said, fixing her hair.
"We should." He nodded.
Arriving at the club, Owen stayed close to Addison as she made a beeline for the bar. It was hot, the strobe lights hurt his eyes and the music coming from the speakers thumped in his ears.
"Vodka please!" Addison shouted over the music to the bartender. Armed with her drink, she made her way over to a group of people in the VIP section. He recognised two of the women from the other day at Addison's house. He made himself scarce as Addison spoke to her friends.
"Montgomery!" One of the girls yelled in a southern accent, he was pretty sure her name was Charlotte. She was standing with a brunette, he knew she was called Amelia.
"Hey!" Addison grinned.
"What's up with him?" Amelia sipped her drink as she nodded towards Owen.
"Ugh, we had a little falling out." Addison sighed.
"What kind of fallin' out?" Charlotte frowned.
"I tried to kiss him but he rejected me."
"Yikes." Amelia said.
"We ended up kissing last night though, and he slept in my bed." Addison said.
"Well haven't ya'll made up then?" Charlotte asked.
"Not quite yet… I want to get my own back first." Addison smirked.
"No, you want to make him jealous." Amelia grinned.
"Same thing." Addison shrugged.
"Well alright then! Let's make him jealous." Charlotte laughed as she grabbed their hands, leading them to the dance floor.
As the three of them began to dance, a good looking guy approached Addison and she decided to take her shot. She began dancing with him as Owen watched from a distance. Addison glanced over at him, a smug smile forming on her face as she saw the jealousy in his eyes. Owen clenched his fists as he watched Addison dance with him.
He silently cursed himself for being jealous, they had only kissed one time. But he couldn't stop the anger brewing inside of him as he saw her flirting with somebody that wasn't him.
It was nearly three in the morning when Addison had decided she wanted to leave. She sat in the passenger seat of Owen's car. It was dead silent and she could tell his was furious. Her gaze averted to his hands on the steering wheel, his knuckles turning white from how hard he was gripping it.
"Why'd you do it?" He finally spoke.
"Do what?" She asked innocently.
"You know what." He spat.
"Oh please, it was just dancing."
"So last night meant nothing?" He questioned.
"I don't know." She looked down at her lap.
"Can you just give me a straight answer?" He raised his voice a little.
"It's not nice when someone messes with your head. Is it?" She said.
"That's what this is about? I told you I was sorry." Owen sighed.
"Whatever." Addison rolled her eyes.
"I don't think this about me at all."
"Oh really?"
"I think you like to destroy things." He said.
"That's ridiculous." She snapped as he pulled up to the house. She stepped out of the car, slamming the door shut.
"I'm talking to you!" Owen shouted.
"Just leave me alone, Owen!" She yelled as she stormed towards the main entrance.
"No." He said, following her into the house.
"What do you want?" She sighed, leaning against the wall of the foyer.
"You." He spoke quietly.
"I can't hear you." She said.
He closed the gap between them, placing his hands on either side of the wall.
"I want you."
She looked up at him, their eyes locking together.
"You do?"
"Uh huh." He breathed.
She crashed her lips into his, her hands moving through his hair. He hooked his hands under her thighs as he picked her up, her legs wrapping around his waist.
"Bedroom." She breathed between kisses.
"Bedroom." He agreed, carrying her.
"Wait. Don't drop me." She panted.
He gave her a smirk as he threw her over his shoulder, making her shriek.
"I won't." He laughed, heading for the stairs.
