Katara: Water, Soldier, Mechanist, God, Earth, Fire, Spy, Archer, Monster, Air

(One by one, eight figures do something to show off their skills: the Waterbender weaves a stream of water from the ground, around him and then thrusts it towards the side, the soldier blocks an attack with his shield before throwing it, the mechanist has armor envelope him and then uses the repulsor on his hand to blast something on the side, the god holds a powerful hammer high to summon a bolt of lightning, the Earthbender kicks the ground bringing up a large rock before he kicks it away, the Firebender twists around as she summons fire from her foot before doing a high kick to the ground and makes the flames spread, the spy drops down from above and displays a few moves, the archer rolls across the ground and fires a few arrows, and finally the monster comes down from a jump and smashes his huge fists on the ground, the Airbender drops down and then with a circle of his arms he creates a blast of wind.)

Katara: Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked.

(Docked on a shore, five Fire Nation ships with the Hydra insignia released their soldiers. With a jump forward and a palm thrust, the firebenders released a wave of fire as the Hydra soldiers used their advanced technology.)

Katara: Only the Avatar, master of all four elements could stop them. But when the world needed him most, he vanished.

(The Avatar, a man with a crown on his head and dressed in robes stands on a pillar of stone as he bent the four elements of water, earth, fire and air to show his skill in the arts of bending. After releasing a powerful disk of wind, he disappears from existence.)

Katara: A hundred years passed and my brother and I discovered the new Avatar: an Airbender named Aang and met the team called the Avengers.

(The water tribe siblings find a young Airbender frozen in block of ice. After freeing him, they are then joined by heroes called Captain America, Ironman, Thor, Hulk, Clint, and Natasha.)

Katara: And although with the teams help and his airbending skills are great, hehas a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone.

(At an Air Nomad path, Aang creates an air scooter and starts to have fun with it. But when he expands his circle a little bit, he runs right into a statue. He rolls over onto his back as all six of the Avengers then poke their heads from behind the statue to check on him.)

Katara: But I believe the Avengers and Aang can save the world.

(Aang, Steve, Katara, Tony, Thor, Bruce, Sokka, Clint and Natasha stand side by side, looking down at the world on a mountain's peak for a moment as the reader's view is turned upwards to the sun.)

Avatar Roku: Previously, on Avenging Avatar…

"We need to find King Bumi so Aang can learn earthbending somewhere safe." Katara said when they were with Nomads. Most of the team remembered the last time they were in Omashu.

"It sounds like you're headed right to Omashu." Chong said when he put two and two together. Sokka responded by smacking his hand against his head.

Later on, the group climbed a familiar hill with Sokka in the lead. He had a grin when he said, "I present to you the Earth Kingdom City of Om…" Sokka stopped and had wide eyes, "Oh, no."

Everyone looked to see that the city had been taken by the Fire Nation and Hydra.

Later in the city, Aang and his friends had staged a rescue for King Bumi. But it didn't turn out as planned as Aang said to his old friend, "I guess that I need to find someone else to teach my earthbending."

"You need to find someone who waits and listens before striking." Bumi advised the Avatar.

In the Ban Grove Swamp, each of the group had a vision of something or someone. Natasha found herself standing in front of Clint. The archer gave her a clue, "When boars fly."

"In the swamp we see visions of people we lost, people we love." The man of the swamp said. Aang thought back to the young girl in a green and white dress with and asked, "But what about my vision? It was someone that I had never met."

"Where do you think that Blonsky go?" Ty-Lee asked after they had been informed of a group of fighter's fate. Azula said with a shrug, "All he really said was that he was going to find some entertainment."

Book Two: Earth

Chapter Six: The Blind Bandit and the Ronin

It was noon on a new day as the group of seven entered a new town. They had left the town of Chin and had come to a new town. They were currently getting more supplies, or in Sokka's case, trying to make a purchase. They stood in a corner stall with Sokka overlooking a nice green bag. The rest of the town was moving about as they just stood there. The young Water Tribesman had a hand to his chin when he said, "It's a little pricey, but I really, really do like it."

"Then you should get it." Katara said, wanting to support him. But the rest of the disguised group were just standing about and waiting, or sitting. Katara remembered the last few days and she said, "You do deserve something nice."

"And please hurry up and make a choice." Bruce sighed as he rubbed his temples. Sokka looked to him and asked, "And what's got you so worked up?"

"Seriously?" Natasha asked and looked to the teen. She then reminded, "We've been standing here for about half an hour now."

"We do need to keep moving." Steve agreed with her. Sokka made a calming motion with his hands and said, "Okay, okay." He took another moment to think, "I think that I'll pass on the bag this time. This one's too expensive and I feel that I really shouldn't."

"All right, then don't buy it." Katara said and Aang got off the ground. Natasha sighed as she said, "Finally."

Everyone walked away from the stall with Sokka looking at the bag one last time. But they hadn't even gone ten steps when Sokka ran back to the stall. With a grin and clasping his hands together he said, "You know what? I'm going to get it."

"Uh, Sokka." Katara said while the others just groaned. While the others just waited for Sokka to make his purchase, a man with a few fliers in his hand came up to them and said, "Hey… You lot like earthbending? You like throwing rocks?"

"Depends on who's asking?" Thor asked and the man gave him a confused look. But he shook his head and got back on track, "Well, if you're wanting so badly to know, then you should check out Master Yu's Earthbending Academy."

Momo chittered as the man handed Aang a flier. He walked away and the others took a look. One side had an image of an Earthbender lifting a rock, while the other had a picture with the master's face on it. Aang then noticed, "Look here, guys. There's a coupon on the back. The first lesson is free."

"And who knows, this Master Yu could be the earthbending teacher you've been looking for." Katara pointed out. Steve shrugged and said, "It's worth a shot at least."

Sokka soon joined them with the bag cradled in his arms. Thor then gestured and said, "Let us go and see him."

\_|_/

Outside the town, a couple of Earthbenders were practicing there moves. As one dodged an incoming boulder, he looked to his sparring partner and asked, "Do you think we'll have a chance at the Tag Team Belt?"

"Doubt it." The other Earthbender shook his head. Then he reminded, "Not only does the Blind Bandit have the Championship Belt, but ever since her partner arrived, they've basically taken down everyone trying to come for the Tag Team Belt."

"Well, we can at least try." The first boy shrugged. The sound of stomping feet made them both look to the side to see someone walking through the woods. It was a large hulking figure. Both became really worried when they saw that the figure was green and scary looking. They said with a deep voice, "What's this about belts?"

Both Earthbenders gulped in fear before assuming their stances. But the creature only gave a dark grin and he said with a shrug, "Guess I'll just have to beat it out of you."

Birds flew away when the two Earthbenders started screaming from the creature's attacks.

\_|_/

The team waited on the outside while Aang had gone in to Master Yu's Earthbending Academy. The young Airbender was now dressed in a training uniform with an Earthbender's robe, bracelets and hat. While waiting to begin the lesson, Aang took a quick look around before cleaning out his left ear. When he stopped, he brought the finger to his nose and gave it a quick sniff. But then he noticed how the other trainees were standing at attention before standing at attention himself. Master Yu, a man in a white shirt and green robes while also wearing a pair of bracelets, walked into the courtyard and said, "Students, take your stances."

While most of the trainees assumed the same stance, Aang mostly just watched as Master Yu walked to the other side of the courtyard. The earthbending teacher then ordered as he turned and made a punching motion with his left fist, "Now, strike as if you're about to punch through your opponent's head."

The young Earthbender's on Yu's right lifted their rocks up off the ground with one hand. Aang looked a little worried as his opponent let out a holler and used his other hand to launch the rock forward. The wind was knocked out of Aang when the rock knocked into him and both crashed into a sand filled urn. Master Yu walked up to Aang and asked, "So… are you now ready to commit yourself to more lessons?" Then he threw in, "If you pay for the whole year in advance, I'll bump you up to the next belt."

Aang just looked to the earthbending teacher before some of the sand fell over his face. The young Airbender climbed out of the sand before politely declining the offer. He dusted himself off as he walked to the gate. The others were standing or sitting on the side when Aang came out. Katara looked to him and asked, "How'd it go?

"Eh, he's not the one." Aang shook his head. The Avatar then tilted his head to the side and patted his head to get rid of the rest of the sand. Bruce shook his head, "And I don't think that we could afford to pay for each lesson."

"Not to mention that he might not connect to being Aang's teacher like Pakku and Katara." Thor threw in. Their attention was stolen when two trainees walked out and one of them said, "I think that the Boulder and Hippo are going to win back the Tag Team belt at the Earth Rumble Six."

"They're both going to have to fight his way through the best Earthbenders in the world to even get a shot at the two champs." The other boy said. Then with a nod he added, "Not to mention he's got to beat her and her partner."

"Oh, yeah." The first one said in agreement. The sound of great Earthbenders caused Aang to perk up. Looking to the others, Steve picked up on what Aang was wanting to do and shrugged as he let Aang go. Aang ran over to the trainees and asked, "Excuse me, but where is this earthbending tournament exactly?"

"It's on the island of 'None-a-ya' my friend." The fist boy said. Both of them smirked when he added, "As in, 'none-a-ya' business."

They both started laughing at the joke while the most of Aang's friends glared at the two. But their glares turned when Sokka started laughing as well. Sokka wiped his eye as he said, "Oh, I really got to remember that one."

"Sokka." Bruce nudged the teen with an elbow. Both of the trainees started walking off. Katara looked to Nat and they both nodded. Both walked after them before informing, "We'll take care of this."

"Don't worry." Nat said and patted Aang on the shoulder. As they ran after the two boys, Steve said, "I'm a little worried."

"What do you think they'll do?" Thor asked. But most of the group just shrugged their shoulders. They watched as the two trainees walked around the corner while Katara shouted, "Hey, strong guys! Wait up!"

When all four of them disappeared around the corner, Sokka took a look at his new bag before questioning, "What was I thinking?"

"Huh?" Some of the group said and looked to him. Sokka held it out and said, "I don't need a new bag. Why'd you guys let me buy this?"

"You're the one who couldn't make up his mind!" Steve said as a vein appeared on his forehead. Bruce threw in, "And you're the one who went back for it even though you said that you would pass on it."

"Whatever." Sokka said before dropping the bag on the ground. Momo chittered as he hopped off of Sokka's shoulders and climbed into the bag. Circling inside, the lemur then made himself comfortable.

They didn't have to wait too much longer for the girls as Katara and Natasha came running back up to them. Katara had a grin on her face when she asked, "You guys ready to go and find an earthbending teacher?"

"Because we're headed to the Earth Rumble Six!" Natasha added. Katara looked to her friend with a chuckle, "Hey, I was getting ready to say that."

"Beat you to it." Nat laughed while nudging the young Waterbender. But some of the group were confused when Aang asked, "How'd you guys get them to tell you?"

Katara shrugged while Sokka picked up the bag with Momo in it, "Oh, a couple of girls can have their ways."

"You interrogated them?" Steve said with crossed arms and arched a brow. Natasha nodded and said, "Maybe." Then gesturing to get going she said, "Now, let's get going."

The group followed after the two and walked down the alley. The boys happened to look down and their eyes widened at the scene. The two trainees were frozen to the walls while the top of their heads were pressed against each other. They both looked really cold. Natasha then asked, "Thor, could you give them a hand. We promised that we'd let them out when we were done."

"Very well, then." Thor said before approaching them. One of the trainees looked and nervously asked, "Um, what are you going to do?"

"If it works, free you." Thor said and lifted Mjolnir high over his head. Both trainees let out screams when he brought his hammer down fast on one of them, but he stopped just an inch or two of the ice. They stopped screaming and looked to the Asgardian as he lightly tapped the ice around the boy. The ice started cracking before it gave way and the boy fell to the ground. Thor then repeated the action with the other trainee. When both boys were free, they looked up to Thor's unamused face and became really nervous. Without another word they ran off before he could do any more to them. Thor let out a chuckle from the sight.

\_|_/

Later that evening, the group had come to a craggy looking mountain and saw that a lot of people were already showing up. Everyone in the group had put on a cloak to disguise themselves to avoid causing suspicion. The Avengers even left the shield, Mjolnir and anything else back with Appa to prevent anything to draw attention to themselves. Aang even went a step further by covering up the tattoos on his hands and feet while still wearing his trainee uniform. Once inside, they saw a large arena in the middle of the room. The ring was rectangular in shape, had four sets of stairs on the corners and had a giant earth ring in the middle. Hanging over the arena itself was a giant chandelier made of crystals. Overlooking the arena was a tall tower, most likely for the announcer.

Rhythmic drum beats filled the arena as the contest was about to start. The seven friends were able to find seats really easy in the front row as Aang said, "Hey, front-row seats.

"I wonder why no one else is sitting down here." Aang shrugged. Natasha rolled her eyes and said, "I have a hunch."

Just as the three teens sat down, a large boulder smashed into seats on Sokka's right. He looked a little worried when he said, "I guess that's Nat's hunch."

"Let's move up a little." Steve suggested. They all moved to a few of the rows above where the rock landed and turned their attention back to the ring where an Earthbender took a stance before raising himself up on a pillar of stone. Everyone around them were cheering as they watched. When it was a few feet from the ground, the Earthbender stomped a foot and pushed his arms downward to make the pillar go back down. Then raising a fist into the air, the man said, "Welcome, friends, to Earth Rumble Six!"

The crowds started cheering again before the man started speaking again, "I am your humble host, Xin Fu!"

Katara sighed as she turned away from the ring looking a little bored. Then placing her chin in her hand she said, "This is just going to be a bunch of guys chucking rocks at each other, isn't it?"

"That's what I paid for." Sokka said to her with a glad grin. Bruce looked to the three and said, "We almost have something similar to this back in our world."

"Really?" Aang asked. But their attention was taken by Xin Fu when he said, "The rules are very simple-" He looked amongst the audience and said, "Just knock the other guys out of the ring, and you win the match."

With that said, Xin Fu launched himself from the ring and up to the high ledge above the group. The crowd continued to cheer when he landed and Xin Fu then said, "And here's something else that all you new comers didn't expect; though it is preferred, one on one, you do not have to be an Earthbender to be in the fight. But for the Tag Team, at least one has to be an Earthbender!"

"Huh, someone's gotta be really crazy to try and do that." Steve commented from his seat.

High in the shadows of the seats, a large figure dressed kept his distance from the other fighters. Though he wouldn't make himself known just yet, the figure was itching to see what kind of entertainment was before him.

A bell was rung and the first two team members stepped up onto the stage. One was a man wearing a little hat on his head, bands on his forearms and legs, and some shorts with a kilt wrapped around them. The other was a large overweight yet muscular man wearing a pair of shorts with a sumo band wrapped around him. Xin Fu proudly announced, "Round one! The Boulder and the Hippo vs the Brothers of East and West!"

On the other side of the ring, two tall and muscular men, wearing clothing that looked like it had been shredded on purpose. One had a full head of short hair while the other was bald but had facial hair.

The Hippo gave out a roar as he was ready to fight. The Boulder took a step forward and taunted, "Listen up, East and West!" Pointing at them he said, "You two may have some good moves, but you ain't bad like us!" He put on a crazed look when he said, "The Boulder and the Hippo are gonna win this one in a landslide."

"Whatever you say, Boulder." East shot back with a smirk. West then threw in, "Maybe you and fatty can keep up with us."

The Hippo glared at the two and shouted, "Hippo-" He raised his arms up to reveal some really hairy looking arm pits, "Mad!"

Another ring of the bell and the Hippo started stomping on the stage. Though the Boulder had to fight to stand up, it really caused the Brothers of East and West to stumble a little. Everyone in the audience felt the shockwave from their seats and Momo ducked down into the bag.

Down on the ring, the Boulder lifted three rocks from the ground before hurling them at the brothers. Both East and West dropped down to let the rocks sail past their heads before following up with a boulder of their own. But before the Boulder could even retaliate or redirect them, the Hippo moved in the way and caught one with his hands while catching the other with his mouth. The crowd gasped by this and the Hippo responded by crushing both rocks with his hands and jaws. He chewed the rocks up before spitting the pieces out onto the arena.

"Time to rock these guys' world." The Boulder said to his partner. The Hippo responded with an eye roll and a light chuckle. The Boulder hopped up onto the Hippo's shoulders and the Hippo started hopping up and down. It once again caused the arena to shake and Xin Fu said from his perch, "This is unbelievable, ladies and gentleman! The Hippo is rocking the boat! And the Boulder is taking refuge from the rocking waves!

"It's causing the East and West Brothers to stumble out of the arena." When the two were but a few inches from the edge, the Boulder raised a fist to raise two rocks and launched them.

But the Brothers of East and West were able to duck backwards and the rocks flew over their heads. They bended backwards to grab a large sheet of stone before righting themselves and hurling it at their opponents. The sheet of stone smacked into the Boulder and the Hippo and knocked the former off of the latter's shoulders. The Boulder grunted as he tumbled across the arena and the Brothers looked to each other with smirks before going after the disoriented Hippo.

The crowd gasped when they started chucking rocks at the larger fighter. The Hippo grunted in pain each time a rock was smacked against his body. The East swung his arm and it caused a few rocks to knock the Hippo off his feet. But the West followed up and rose a few rocks up to catch the Hippo as he fell. The Boulder happened to look up and became horrified to see both East and West swinging their arms to throw the Hippo over the edge. The Hippo and the rock he laid on were sent crashing into the ground below between the arena and the audience.

"Oh, the Hippo is out! How's the Boulder gonna turn this one around?" Xin Fu questioned from his spot. The Boulder quickly rose to his feet and looked between his two opponents.

The crowd watched in anticipation and when most of the group looked to Sokka, they could tell that he was starting to get invested into the sport. The Boulder sought to avenge his partner by raising a huge rock wall and launching it at his opponents. The Brothers of East and West prepared themselves as the rock wall came at them, but when they launched a fist at it and made it explode, the two were shocked to see that the Boulder had disappeared from where he was standing.

A holler from above caused the Brothers of East and West, the audience and Xin Fu to look up. They saw the Boulder coming down at them before landing but a few feet from them and with a kick to the ground, created two rock pillars that jutted from the arena and smashed into the two's guts. The move knocked the two the ground. But the Boulder didn't let up on them and raised a square platform underneath the two. The Boulder let out a roar before throwing his arms forward and launching the two off the ring. Both Brothers of East and West cried out as they fell to the ground. The group winced from the crash while the rest of the crowd continued to cheer.

"The Boulder and the Hippo wins!" Xin Fu shouted from his perch. Xin Fu came down from his spot. Both the Boulder and Xin Fu walked over to where the Hippo landed and saw a few medical professionals with him. One looked up to Xin Fu and shook his head. Xin Fu looked to the audience and said, "Ooh! Looks like a tough break for the Boulder and the Hippo's chances for the Tag Team belt are shot!"

The audience booed from this. Xin Fu looked to the Boulder and asked, "And what will you do now, Boulder?"

"The Boulder was hoping to go for the Tag Team belt." The Boulder shook his head. But then throwing his arms up he shouted, "But the Boulder can still go for the Championship belt!"

The crowd started cheering again. Xin Fu turned to the audience and announced, "You heard it here, folks! The Boulder is going for the Championship belt."

The Boulder looked excited while the crowd continued to cheer. Xin Fu leapt back up to his spot to get ready for the next match. Up in the stands, Katara looked to Aang and asked, "How about the Boulder? He seems to have some pretty good moves."

"I don't know." Aang shrugged as the Boulder didn't feel right to him. The Airbender then remembered, "Bumi said that I needed a teacher who will listen to the earth." With a smirk he shook his head, "He's just listening to his big muscles."

"And he's got an ego to match them." Natasha commented as the Boulder continued to parade around the arena. The group looked to Sokka and Aang asked, "What do you think about him, Sokka?"

But the Water Tribe teen wasn't listening to them as he was giving wild laughter and whooping in excitement. Bruce looked to the others and said, "Well, if Sokka loves this kind of thing, then he'll probably love Pro Wrestling back home."

"Pro Wrestling? What's that?" Sokka asked and sat next to Bruce with an excited grin. The gamma scientist looked to the teen with wide eyes. He looked to the others, but Natasha shook her head, "Nope. You got him started."

"Next match up; the Boulder versus Fire Nation Man!" Xin Fu shouted from his spot. This saved Bruce from having to explain Pro Wrestling as Sokka looked to the spot. Everyone saw a large husky guy with side burns like Zhao's wearing red pants, boots, belt and cape waving a Fire Nation flag. The crowd started booing since the guy was dressed like a guy from the enemy side of the war. The stone path that he walked on crumbled when he reached the ring. Sokka stood up and shouted, "Boo! Boo!"

"Please to rise for the Fire Nation national anthem." Fire Nation Man said before taking a deep breath. Then he sang before dropping to one knee…

Fire Nation Man: Fire Lord, my flame burns for thee

"Is he serious?" Steve asked while everyone gave the fighter questioning looks. Even the crowd continued booing while throwing rocks or trash at him. Even Sokka got in on it by going down to the lowest level and picking up a rock. His friends looked to him surprise as he stood near the edge. Raising it above his head he shouted, "Go back to the Fire Nation!"

The rock soared through the air before nailing Fire Nation Man in the face. He grunted in pain and held his face. Thor walked down to the walkway before grabbing Sokka by the back of his shirt and pulling him back to their seats. Fire Nation Man was about to say something when the Boulder took action. With a downward motion of his hands, the Boulder caused Fire Nation Man to sink into the ground. Seeing his foe trapped, the Boulder raised his right arm and created a really tall pillar of stone. Fearing for what could happen, Fire Nation Man pleaded, "N-No! No, please!"

But the Boulder did not grant mercy as he leapt down from the pillar before holding his feet with hands and pointed his knees down. The Fire Nation Man screamed when the Boulder reached the ground and shot him up into the air. The portly man continued screaming as he flew through the air before crashing into the boulder next to the group. Sokka once again moved from the group and shouted at the fighter, "Yeah! Whoo! The Boulder knows how to put the hurt in the dirt!"

The Water Tribe teen continued acting wild about the sport while most of the group gave him weirded out looks. Thor looked to Bruce and said, "He's starting to worry me."

"Same." Bruce said as his eyes were still wide. Katara just sighed before looking away.

Down on the arena floor, the Boulder moved out of the way as a couple of Badger Moles cleared the surface with their earthbending. Bruce looked to Thor and asked, "Did you and Sokka really meet a pair of those things?"

"Yes." Thor nodded as he remembered the Badger Moles from the Cave of the Two Lovers.

The fights continued as a bell would ding and a woman came out with a sign. The next battle consisted of the Boulder against a guy who was like a mole and they dug through the ground. He came up, but the Boulder was able to get him between two rocks before throwing him off the side. Another ding of the bell and the next fight was with a man wearing a green mask, shorts, and wrappings around his arms and legs. But once again the Boulder was able to pull off a win by using a mound of earth against the guy's belly.

The crowd continued to cheer for the Boulder's victories and even Sokka was still enjoying the show. Another ding of the bell and the Boulder secured the win by bashing an Earth Ring against his opponents face. The blow sent the guy crashing into the stands like Fire Nation Man.

It was basically midnight and the event had reached the main event. The lights from the crystals above started to dim as Xin Fu said, "And now, the moment that you've all been waiting for. The Boulder versus your beloved champion, the Blind Bandit!"

The crowd really started cheering for the coming of the champion. And when she did appear, mostly everyone on the team was surprised to see who it was. A young girl with her black hair tied in a bun wearing a dual green outfit, a studded belt around her waist and coverings over her feet and hands. She held the Championship Belt over her head. Two women were standing side by side next to the Blind Bandit striking poses before taking the champion's robe and the belt. But as the group took a closer look, even from where they were sitting, they looked at her eyes. Katara looked to the others and asked, "She can't really be blind, can she? It's just a part of her character, right?"

"I think she is." Aang said as he had a feeling that she was. The four Avengers agreed with him with Nat saying, "I think we can all see it from here."

"I think she is-" Sokka calmly started. He got crazy again when he shouted, "Going down!"

This made everyone flinch from how he was acting. Natasha looked to Sokka and asked, "Wanna make a bet?"

"I'm listening." Sokka said and turned to the spy. She started whispering to the teen while everyone else turned their attention back to the ring. The Boulder was starting to face the Blind Bandit, but he had a smirk on his face when he looked up to Xin Fu. The owner of the event leapt down from his spot and walked over to the Boulder. The challenger then started talking to owner. The owner soon adopted a look between like the Boulder was crazy, but it could prove to be entertaining. With a nod he leapt back up to his spot and shouted, "Our challenger is feeling confident tonight and has issued to challenge the Blind Bandit's partner as well."

The Blind Bandit didn't look to fazed by this and even smirked for some odd reason. Xin Fu pointed to his left and said, "Please welcome to the Blind Bandit's partner and the other owner of the Tag Team Belt, the Ronin!"

Stepping across another path of earth was someone wearing green and black clothing all over. He even wore a green hood with a black mouth piece to cover his face. When the Ronin stood side by side with the Blind Bandit, the Boulder put out a little trash talk, "While the Boulder has no problems taking on the likes of the Ronin, he does feel conflicted about fighting a young blind girl."

"You're the one who climbed to the top to face her." The Ronin reminded. The sound of his voice caused Nat's eyes to widen. The Blind Bandit still had her smirk when she pointed at her opponent and said, "Yeah, sounds to us like you're really scared, Boulder."

The Boulder didn't seem too happy with that comment before getting over his internal conflict. Looking unamused he said, "The Boulder is over his conflicted feelings and now he's really ready to bury the both of you," He assumed his stance, "in a rock-a-lanche!"

"Whenever you're ready," The Blind Bandit said and pointed to him and mocked, "Mr. 'the Pebble.'"

She started laughing and it caused Aang's eyes to widen as well. He thought back to the swamp.

(Flashback)

Aang remembered seeing the girl in the fancy dress standing next to the flying boar. The boar took off as the girl started laughing.

And though he couldn't see it clearly at the time, Aang placed the Blind Bandit's face on the girls and thought that it was a perfect match.

(End of flashback)

\_|_/

Aang now had a strong feeling that this was the person that he was looking for. The Boulder prepared himself and said, "It's on!"

"Like Donkey Kong." The Ronin said and only the Blind Bandit heard him. She giggled from it before they both prepared themselves. She looked to him and asked, "Get him warmed up for me?"

"And you make it hurt, kid." The Ronin nodded. The Boulder took deep, slow breaths as he prepared himself. The Ronin then charged for the Boulder who quickly lifted three rocks from the arena ground before launching them one at a time at the incoming fighter. The Ronin jumped over one, ducked under the second before jumping on the last one and using it to propel himself up into the air.

The crowd and Sokka continued to cheer from theatrics of the fighters. But while everyone was focused on the Ronin and the Boulder, Aang, Steve and Katara were watching to see what the Blind Bandit would be doing. But all she really did was just stand there.

The Blind Bandit stood in her spot and listened for her opportunity to strike. The Ronin came down and tried to land a kick to the Boulder, but the latter was able to raise a slanted rock wall that protected him from the Ronin's foot. The Ronin was able to keep himself from colliding with the rock wall by kicking off of it with the same foot and landed in a crouch. The Boulder made the rock wall fly at the Ronin, but a smirk from the Blind Bandit and a sneaky downward of her hand caused the rock wall to explode. The Boulder looked very confused before he glanced at the Blind Bandit, but saw her hardly moving.

But him taking his eyes off of the Ronin proved to be a very big mistake as the non-Earthbender charged forward and landed a few strikes against the Earthbender's midsection. The Boulder was sent stumbling back from the blows before backflipping away and landing a kick to the Ronin's head. Both Nat and the Blind Bandit reacted to this with looks of anger or shock. When he was standing up straight again, the Boulder gave a roar as he stomped forward. The Blind Bandit was able to sense the Boulder's movements as rumbling seismic waves came down from his heel and spread out while coming in contact with her and the Ronin. Anticipating on what to do, the Blind Bandit raised her arms, and moved to get ready. The Boulder sent a wave of earth at the Ronin, but with a quick move of her feet, she was able to slid the disoriented Ronin out of the way and it passed him by. The crowd stared in amazement to this.

The Boulder didn't take to kindly to this and looked over to the Blind Bandit. He moved again and it sent another set of waves across the arena. When the Blind Bandit moved her right foot into position, a third series of seismic waves were sent out. With a slow-motion roar Boulder raised his left foot and was about to bring it down, but the Blind Bandit acted quicker by kicking the arena floor. A trail of earth was created and headed right for the Boulder. Aang, Katara and the Avengers all watched in amazement as the trail went across the arena floor. It reached the Boulder just when he brought his foot down, caught it and made the older Earthbender to a painful split with the sound of something ripping, "Whoa!"

"Ooh!" Sokka gasped at what just happened. Beside him, Natasha gave a smirk as it looked like she was winning the bet between them. The Boulder raised his head and had a pained expression on his face as he went, "OOOOOOOOH!"

The Ronin looked to the Boulder and seemed to be amused by this. Even the figure in the shadows chuckled to the Boulder's misfortune. The Blind Bandit was quick to follow up by flicking her right hand, creating a rush of earth and three slanted pillars erupted from the ground and smacked against the Boulder. The Boulder grunted from the blows and cried out when he hit the wall just outside the ring, "Aah!"

The Boulder groaned in pain as he slid from his impression in the wall before falling to the ground below. He gave another pained grunt when he landed. The Blind Bandit gave a sly grin while Xin Fu shouted, "Your winners of this matchup, the Blind Bandit and the Ronin!"

The crowd cheered as she raised a fist in victory and the Ronin walked up next to her.

"Yes!" Natasha said while pumping a fist. Turning to Sokka she said, "I'll be taking my prize now."

"Urgh! Fine." Sokka said before handing her the bag with Momo in it. Natasha took it before setting it down beside her. As the others looked to her with surprised or questioning looks, Sokka started breaking down from the Boulder's loss.

"I'm still a little confused on how she did that?" Katara said. But Aang knew the answer when he said, "She waited and listened."

"Not to mention that she works great with that Ronin guy." Bruce added. Natasha nodded and said, "Yeah, they work great together."

"Do you think that she could be the one, Aang?" Steve asked Aang. Aang gave a single nod while not taking his eyes off of the Blind Bandit. Xin Fu leapt back down from his spot and walked up next to the Blind Bandit and the Ronin. Holding up a bag, probably full of money, he said, "To make things a little more interesting tonight, I'm offering up this sack of gold pieces to anyone who can defeat," He gestured to the champions when he said, "the Blind Bandit and/or the Ronin!"

But when the crowd became silent, Xin Fu looked about, "What?! Does no one dare to face them?"

He continued to look about the audience to look for contenders. But he didn't have to look long when a voice shouted, "I will!"

Xin Fu and the Ronin looked to one corner of the ring while the Blind Bandit turned her head. Aang came walking up the steps with a grin on his face. Sokka, Katara and the Avengers all looked to Aang and hoped that he knew what he was getting into. Sokka then shouted, "Go, Aang! Avenge the Boulder!

"Care to make it double or nothing?" He asked Natasha. Natasha thought about it before saying, you're on."

The crowd started cheering to see the fighting continue. Xin Fu looked to Aang and asked, "So, what will it be, young man? Fight the Blind Bandit, the Ronin or both at the same time?"

Aang raised his index finger and was about to say something, when a deep voice shouted, "I will also fight!"

Bruce's eyes widened from the sound of the voice. Everyone turned their heads to see something leap from the shadows and crash onto the ring. Aang looked a little intimidated by the size of the guy while the other three gave the figure questioning looks. The Blind Bandit's eyes widened a little from what she was sensing. The figure removed his cloak and the crowd gasped from what they were seeing. Even the Avengers were shocked when they saw the Abomination standing in the ring. Xin Fu then questioned, "What have we here?"

"What? Not going to let me compete because of how I look?" The Abomination questioned. Then looking to Aang he pointed, "You're letting Scrawny here fight."

"You've got me there." Xin Fu said before leaping up to his perch once again. The Blind Bandit said, "I don't know about the Big Guy here…" But turning her head to Aang she said, "But do people really want to see two little girls fighting out here?"

The crowd were very surprised by the comment and it made Abomination laugh a little. Aang tried to ease the tension by saying, "I don't really want to fight with you, I just want to talk to you."

"Should have thought of that before came up here." Abomination commented while crossing his arms. Even Sokka didn't like it when he shouted, "Boo! No talking!"

The Water Tribe teen received a multitude of slaps to the back of the head as Katara scolded, "Don't you boo at him."

"Sorry, got carried away there." Sokka said while rubbing his head. Down on the ring, Abomination looked to Aang and said, "Stay out of my wat and I'll make sure not to squish you under my feet."

"Uh, okay." Aang said as he took a step back from him. But the Blind Bandit smirked and took it as a sign to begin the match. With a stomp of her left foot, she sent a wave of earth at the two that split to hit both Aang and Abomination. The Gamma Monster was able to stop his when he pounded the ground with his fists while Aang was able to use his airbending to lift off when it reached him.

The crowd, Abomination and the Ronin became amazed as Aang floated around the arena. The only one who didn't know what was going on was the Blind Bandit as she tried to sense where Aang was. Aang gently landed behind the Blind Bandit and the Ronin. But it didn't go unnoticed when the Blind Bandit turned to him and commented, "Somebody's a little light on his feet there." Then she questioned, "What's your fighting name, the Fancy Dancer?"

Aang just gave a sheepish shrug. The Ronin looked to his partner and asked, "Which one do you want?"

"I'll take the shrimp puff." She said with a grin. But with a shrug she said, "But if things with tall, dark and ugly get hairy I'll be glad to switch with ya."

"Sounds good." The Ronin shrugged, but was a little worried when he looked to Abomination. But the Blind Bandit said, "Don't worry. I've always got your back, partner."

"Same." The Ronin nodded before he rushed at Abomination. The Blind Bandit once again kicked the ground and it created a mound of earth that sent Aang back into the air. But he was able to flip and quietly sailed through the air. It once again confused the Blind Bandit as she searched for him, "Now where'd you go?"

"Please, wait a moment." Aang said when he landed behind her. Her smirked returned and she turned her head to him, "There you are!"

She turned, raised a boulder and shot it at him. Aang gasped before rolling out of the way. But it set him up for another rising mound of earth and it shot him up into the air. But it once again made the Blind Bandit confused when he was able to right himself while quietly coming down.

Over with the Ronin against Abomination, the smaller man was avoiding punches from the larger fighter by backing away. The Abomination growled before clapping his hands together and it sent a shockwave that knocked the Ronin off his feet. He grunted when he hit the ground and it caused Natasha to tense up. The others happened to notice her reaction, but she was able to keep herself from getting into the ring.

The Ronin was quick to roll back onto his feet and stood at the ready. Over with the other two, the Blind Bandit was getting anywhere with fighting Aang. Every time that she was able raise a mound or pillar of earth underneath him, he would use his airbending to move around or would duck or jump out of the way of an incoming rock. She sensed when the Ronin fell down again and Abomination moved toward her partner and turned and lashed out her fist. A slanted pillar of earth came out at Abomination's left and knocked him away from the Ronin. She quickly moved over to him and said, "I think it's time to switch."

"True. I can't land a punch on my guy." The Ronin said with a sigh. The Blind Bandit looked a little aggravated when she said, "Same. I need to hit something that I'm able to."

"Then let's do this." The Ronin said and stood back up. The Ronin looked to Aang while the Blind Bandit had her head facing towards Abomination. The younger fighter smirked as she extended her arms outward and shot towards the Gamma Monster like a rocket made out of earth. The Abomination smirked as well before rushing at the young Earthbender.

The Ronin dashed towards Aang and came in with a round house kick. Though he was still able to dodge the attack, it came very close to Aang's head. Aang was able to match and counter all the blows coming his way from the Ronin with his quick reflexes. When they broke apart, the Ronin shrugged and said, "You're good, kid."

"Uh, thanks." Aang shrugged as he didn't know what to say. The Ronin cut the small talk by coming in with a punch, but Aang ducked down and was able to twist around to where he landed a kick and used a little airbending to push the Ronin away. The Ronin went flying back before somersaulting backwards and standing on his own two feet again. The Ronin looked to Aang with a questioning look before rushing back at him.

The Blind Bandit was fairing much better against Abomination than she was with Aang. She caused the larger fighter to slip and slide as a way of making him mad. The Abomination leapt high into the air and she once again became confused. But when he let out a roar, she smirked when she had an idea of what to do. She did a handstand while also kicking up and it created a wall of earth that not only protected her from Abomination's fist, but also knocked him away. Abomination went tumbling across the arena and stopped near the edge. When she stood on her own two feet again, the Blind Bandit smirked as she jerked her right hand forward and created a huge slanted slab that knocked Abomination off the ring and down to the ground below. From his perch, Xin Fu shouted, "Ooh! And it looks like the big green monster is out of the match!

"What's his partner going to do?" He questioned as the Blind Bandit looked over Aang and the Ronin's fight. She quickly moved to where she could help her partner. The two looked to each other and nodded, and it made Aang a little nervous.

The Blind Bandit quickly raised a boulder in front of her and shot it forward. The Ronin was quick to jump into the air and landed on the boulder as it flew, surprising the audience. Aang quickly acted by jumping into the air and brought his hands close to him while spinning. When he faced the boulder with the Ronin on top of it, Aang pushed his hands out and sent a stream of air that knocked the boulder, the Ronin and the Blind Bandit back. The Blind Bandit cried out while the Ronin grunted when he hit the ground. The force of Aang's technique was so strong that it sent both of them flying over the edge of the ring.

Everyone, from Xin Fu from his perch, the Boulder from a spot where he could see while holding and icepack, Abomination when he had climbed up the side to see what was happening to Aang's friends at their seats were very surprised by the outcome of the match. Sokka, Katara and the Avengers all looked to each other with grins or shrugs while Aang had a confused look while looking about. The crowd started cheering while he ran to a set of stairs. Looking down, Aang saw the Blind Bandit stomping off while the Ronin followed after her. He called down to her, "Blind Bandit! Please, listen. I need an earthbending teacher, and I think that it's supposed to be you."

"Whoever you are…" The Blind Bandit said without looking back. She sounded really ticked off when she shouted, "Just leave us alone."

The Ronin only glanced back to Aang while still following his partner. They stopped at a rock wall and the Blind Bandit used her earthbending through a stomp of her left foot to make an opening. Both fighters walked through while Aang quickly ran to catch them, "Wait! Please!"

But he didn't make it in time as the Ronin moved behind her and she crossed her arms to close the opening. Aang stopped just a few inches from the wall and felt around to see if it could be opened without earthbending. Aang sighed in defeat while turning to go back up. When he made it back up to the ring, Aang saw that the Abomination had left the scene and now Xin Fu and a cheering crowd stood in the middle. Xin Fu held the Blind Bandit's former championship belt in his left hand while holding the sack of gold in his right. Fanfare music started playing as Sokka and Katara joined Aang in the ring. Sokka surprised and weirded out Xin Fu when he hugged him before the Water Tribe teen took the belt and the sack of gold. The two gave Aang grins as Sokka raised both arms and said, "Way to go there, champ!"

Sokka wrapped an arm around Aang, but the young Airbender didn't feel too happy as he hung his head. This didn't go unnoticed by Katara or the Avengers as they noticed how glum he looked.

A few miles away from where the arena was, the Blind Bandit and the Ronin were walking through the forest. Though he was walking behind her, the Ronin could see how upset she was by the way she walking. Glancing up to the sky he said, "Some match, huh?"

"I don't want to talk about it." The Blind Bandit said as she kept walking. The Ronin nodded and said, "Well, you might want to do something about your anger before we get home. Or else your parents are going to know that something's up."

That caused the Blind Bandit to stop in her tracks. With a sigh she said, "Yeah. You're right."

"And you do know that our win streak wasn't going to last, right?" The Ronin asked. She turned her head to him and nodded, "Yeah."

"But I wouldn't worry too much about it, Toph." The Ronin said as he removed his hood. It revealed a man with a dirty blonde hair and he had a grin on his face when he said, "You're still the greatest Earthbender that I've ever seen. I think that you could put the ones that I have seen to shame."

"Thanks, Clint." Toph said and turned to him. Then with a nod she said, "And even though I can hardly tell when you do it, you're a seriously cool archer."

"Thanks, kid." Clint said as the two started walking again. Toph's head shot up and she became worried, "Uh-oh."

"What?" Clint asked and looked to her. She then remembered, "Mom and Dad are supposed to be back in a few hours. And if we're not there when they get back-"

"Then we got to get a move on." Clint said, now worried too. Both of them started running through the woods to get to wherever they were going.

The next morning, the group was once again walking through the town. Most of them were still wearing the cloaks or a hat to hide the arrow on his head, Sokka was publicly wearing the championship belt. As they walked through the streets, Sokka looked to the others and said, "You know, I've got to admit it, now I'm really glad that I bought this bag. It matches the belt so perfectly."

"Oh, great. Now he's a fashionista." Nat rolled her eyes. Even Katara gave her brother a deadpanned look as she said, "I'm so relieved for you, Sokka."

"But back to last night." Natasha redirected the conversation. Steve then said, "About Aang's potential earthbending teacher, that Ronin guy or the fact that Abomination is in town."

"It is troubling to see one of our foes." Thor nodded. Bruce looked a little uncomfortable about seeing his enemy again. Aang looked to him and asked, "Are you okay, Bruce?"

"Half and half, Aang." Bruce said with a shake of his head. Natasha then said, "Big and Ugly aside, I think I know who the Ronin might be."

"Really?" Katara asked, kind of curious. The spy nodded and said, "When he first spoke, I could hear his voice, and I'm sure that it's Clint."

"So, number five?" Sokka asked while holding up his hands with all five fingers spread. The others just gave the teen deadpanned looks before Steve asked, "So, how do you propose that we find Clint?"

"Maybe he knows the Blind Bandit personally." Aang suggested. Most of the others nodded as they thought it was a good idea. Looking ahead, Aang then said, "If we want to find out about the Blind Bandit and the Ronin, the Earthbending Academy is a good place to start the search."

"It's how we found out about Earth Rumble Six." Thor nodded. They all walked in and saw the boys from yesterday practicing their earthbending by slamming their hands into large urns of dirt. They looked up to see the group walk in and one of the boys said, "Oh, great. It's you guys again."

Both Natasha and Katara both leaned forward with a glare and it caused them both to flinch in fear. With a nod she said, "Yeah, I didn't think so."

"But relax, fellas." Natasha said while motioning with her hand. Sokka looked to the two and complimented, "Nicely done."

"We're just here to talk." Steve said with a nod. One of the boys looked to Aang and said, "Hey, you're the kid who teamed up with that monster and beat both the Blind Bandit and the Ronin."

"Speaking of them, minus the monster," Aang said, "We need to talk to them."

"Would either of you happen to know where to find them?" Bruce asked them. One of the boys then said, "The Blind Bandit and the Ronin are both a mystery. They show up to fight, then disappears just as quickly as they come.

"They both started in the fights at the same time and quickly rose to the top together." He finished. The other boy said, "They work so well together, so it was very hard for anyone, tag team or not to put up a decent fight."

What they said didn't seem to make it any clearer for the group. Katara gave a smile to Aang and Nat, "Let me handle this one."

Walking up to them she said, "You're not telling us everything."

"We are! We swear!" The boy she got close to said in fear. With a shake of his head, "No one knows where they go or who they really are."

"That's because we're asking about the wrong people." Aang realized. Then he said, "In my vision, I saw a girl in a fancy white dress with a pet flying boar."

What he said made Nat's eyes widen and she asked, "What did you say?"

"About the girl in the dress, or the flying boar?" Aang asked. The boy quicky moved away from Katara. Natasha said as she thought about it, "The second thing. In my vision, Clint didn't give me a location, but he did say when boars fly."

"You think that Clint could know about the girl with the flying boar?" Aang asked. Natasha shrugged, "I guess so."

"Know anything about someone with a flying boar?" Thor asked the two boys. One did say, "Well, a flying boar is the symbol of the Bei Fong family. They're the richest people in town," He shrugged when he added, "Probably the whole world."

"Sounds like they and Stark would get along." Steve lightly joked. But the boy behind the other said, "Yeah, but they don't have a daughter."

"The flying boar is good enough for me." Aang said and looked to the others. Natasha nodded, "It's the best lead that we've got."

"Then let's go see them." Steve said and they all walked out of the academy. As they walked out, they were both glaring as one of the boys said, "Yeah, you better leave."

But it caused Thor to stop and slowly turn his head to the two. Both cringed in fear. Katara looked back and motioned with her hand, "Hey, we've got our eyes on you two."

"Don't make us come back." Natasha said before they ran out. Sokka was the last one out as he faced them and coolly whispered, "Water Tribe."

Back at the arena, the Boulder was standing next to Xin Fu in one of the entrances and was talking about last nights battle. Looking to the owner he said, "I am telling you, Xin Fu, the Boulder was standing right there when it happened. We both know that the giant monster man was no Earthbender, but when the kid did a move there was no earthbending. Nothing made contact with the Blind Bandit or the Ronin."

"That's because the kid doesn't know earthbending." A familiar voice said from behind. Xin Fu and the Boulder looked back to see the Abomination walking up the tunnel. Though a little intimidated by the monster's appearance and strength, he didn't show fear and questioned, "Do know anything about what happened last night?"

"What do know about the Avatar and airbending?" Abomination asked. Xin Fu's eyes widened when he was able to piece it together. With an angry growl, Xin Fu turned and punched the edge of the tunnel with his fist and caused it to rumble with his earthbending. Rocks started falling and while the Boulder shielded his head but Abomination did not, a rock fell on Xin Fu's foot. He gave a fiercely painful yell before deciding, "Nobody cheats Xin Fu and gets away with it."

"Want some help?" Abomination asked, making the owner look to him. The Boulder looked back and questioned, "Why should we take help from you?"

"Because one, I could easily crush your skull." Abomination said with a smirk. The Boulder backed up a step while Xin Fu only watched. Abomination then said, "Two, the kid has some help that kick your can all over the place."

The Boulder and Xin Fu looked to each other before the latter looked back to Abomination and said, "Fine. Let's round up the boys."

The group had made it to the Bei Fong estate and stayed within the tree line behind a small hill. Looking to the gate they saw two guards standing at attention before looking above them. A symbol with a boar with wings and Aang said, "That's the flying boar from my vision."

"And it must be wait Clint in my vision was talking about." Natasha added. Bruce then asked, "So, what's the plan for getting in?"

"Come on." Aang said before backing away. The others looked to each other before shrugging and following after him.

They came to one of the walls where the guards wouldn't be able to see them and Aang used his airbending to jump over the side. Thor and Cap helped the others across the wall with a leap of their own. When they touched the ground, Steve asked, "Why didn't we just try the front door?"

"I didn't think that they would have let us in." Aang said as they started walking around. Thor then asked, "And when they find us sneaking around? What then?"

"Um…" Aang tried to think as he looked around a small tree. The others also took a glance around but didn't see anything. But before they could do anything, the ground started rumbling underneath their feet and a mound of earth sent them through the air. All seven cried out as they flew through the air. Aang, Katara, Steve, Natasha, Bruce and Thor landed in a bush while Sokka landed on the ground. Aang looked around and found the Blind Bandit, but in her white dress, standing in front of him. She gave him a questioning look as she asked, "What are you doing here, Twinkle Toes?"

"And I thought that you'd be a lot more stealthy than that, Nat." A somewhat scolding voice said to Nat. She looked to see a man with blonde hair wearing a set of formal clothes. But she came surprised and said, "Clint!"

She was able to quickly get herself out of the bush and ran to embrace her friend. Clint chuckled and said, "It's good to see you too."

"But how'd you know it was me." Aang asked the girl. Sokka looked to the Airbender and said, "Don't answer to 'Twinkle Toes.' It's not manly."

"Says the guy with the bag." Bruce said as he picked himself out of the bush. He helped Katara out of hers as she mockingly said, "Plus, it really matches the belt."

Sokka sent the two a slight glare. The girl didn't seem too happy as she questioned, "How did you all find us?"

"Well, a crazy king told me that I had to find an earthbender who listens to the earth." Aang said as he used his airbending to get off the bush. Then he kept going, "And then I had a vision in a magic swamp and…"

"And yeah, this doesn't sound too farfetched." Clint said and crossed his arms. Natasha then said, "Well, he isn't the only one whose had a vision." Her friend looked to her and she said, "I had a vision about you and you gave me a clue on how to find you."

"Okay." Clint said, still not all the way following. Katara then said, "What they're trying to say is that Aang's the Avatar, and if he doesn't master earthbending soon, he won't be able to defeat the Fire Lord."

"I haven't heard much about all this during my time here." Clint shook his head. The Avengers found it a little odd and Steve said, "How?"

"Well, the war isn't talked about much where I landed when I got here." Clint said. The girl then said, "Hate to break up the reunion, but it's not our problem."

"Come on, Toph." Clint started to say. But Toph was quick to say, "Now get out of here, or I'll call the guards."

"Please, Ms. Bei Fong." Steve said, making her turn her head towards him. He said, "We just want to talk to you."

"And we all have a part in this if we want to win the war." Sokka put it. It stopped Toph in her tracks as he said, "And we feel that yours is to teach Aang earthbending."

Toph didn't say anything for a moment as if thinking about it. But then she turned and shouted, "Guards! Guards! Come and help us!"

Aang, Katara, Sokka and the Avengers all became nervous and moved to get out. Clint just sighed as they disappeared around a hedge while a couple of guards came running from the other side. Toph took a second to prepare herself while one of the guards said, "Toph! Clint! What happened over here?"

"I… thought that I heard someone." Toph said, acting all innocent. Then she said, "Clint looked about and didn't see anything, but I was just a little scared."

"You know that your father doesn't want you to wander around the grounds with limited supervision, Toph." One of the guards said and led her away. The other looked to Clint and said, "But no offense, Clint."

"None taken." Clint said with a bored expression before following the other three back in the house.

Aang, Steve and Natasha had all watched the scene from behind the wall. Looking to Aang, Steve then said, "That could have gone better."

"True." Aang said with a groan. But then he had an idea and a sly grin grew on his face. Nat looked a little worried and she asked, "Aang, what are you thinking?"

"I think it's time that we tried the front door." Aang said before dropping down from the wall. Steve and Nat looked to each other before dropping down as well.

When they were back within the house, the two guards returned to their post and Toph and Clint walked through the house. Toph then asked, "So those were the friends that you were talking about?"

"Yeah." Clint nodded as they walked. Toph slightly turned her head and asked, "If they had asked, would you have gone with them?"

"Eventually." Clint said, making her hang her head. But he smirked when he said, "But someone's gotta watch your butt for the time being."

"Hah!" Toph laughed before the two became quiet. Clint then said, "Now, let's go and get ready for Master Yu. He'll be hear soon."

"Ugh, don't remind me." Toph groaned in annoyance. Then she reminded, "It's just going to be another boring lesson."

"But it's mostly because of-" Clint started to say. They both said, "Of what my/your parents want."

"Let's get this over with." Toph said as the two laughed a little. They walked through the house once again.

An hour later…

Inside the Bei Fong home, Toph, Clint, her father and mother and Master Yu sat in one of the many rooms. A servant had brought a cup of tea for the occupants. Mr. Bei Fong took his cup into his hand and removed the lid from it. Steam from inside the cup wafted from the cup and he used the lid to fan it close. Taking a deep breath, Mr. Bei Fong gave a blissful sigh before taking a sip. When he lowered the cup and placed the lid back on to keep the heat in, Toph's father looked to Master Yu and said, "I'm very pleased to hear Toph's private lessons are going well." But he looked serious when he said, "But I want to be sure that she's not trying anything too dangerous."

"Absolutely not." Master Yu shook his head. Looking over to Toph he said, "I'm keeping her at the beginner's level- basic forms and breathing exercises only." Then looking up to Clint he said, "Even Mr. Barton is a positive influence of keeping her at her current level."

"Very good, Master Yu." Mr. Bei Fong nodded. Then looking to Clint he said, "And excellent work, Mr. Barton."

"We couldn't have picked a better bodyguard for Toph." Toph's mother said with a smile. Clint bowed and said, "It is an honor to watch over her, ma'am."

Though she appreciated Clint for keeping their secret life from her parents, Toph was still a little steamed from last night and a little sore about the group's appearance earlier. Another servant with his hands in his sleeves walked into the room and bowed his head as he said, "Excuse me, sir, but you have some visitors at the door."

"Who thinks that they are so important they can just come to my home unannounced?" Mr. Bei Fong questioned, sounding a little insulted. The servant was a little nervous as he said, "Uh… the Avatar, sir. And his group of friends called the Avengers."

Knowing who it was caused Toph's eyes to widen before she resumed her look. Her parents looked to each other while the servant waited for his orders. Mr. Bei Fong looked to Clint and asked, "Uh, Mr. Barton, didn't you say that you were part of a group called the Avengers?"

"Yes, sir." Clint nodded. Mr. Bei Fong then asked, "And can you vouch that these are good souls?"

"I can." Clint once again nodded. Mr. Bei Fong looked to the servant and said, "Please, let them in."

"Of course, sir." The servant said before exiting the room. Toph blew one of her hairs out of her face while once again adopting an annoyed look.

\_|_/

Later, once everyone was allowed in, Mr. and Mrs. Bei Fong had invited the team to dinner. The servants had brought an extra table to fit everyone. Mr. Bei Fong sat at the head while he had Aang on his left and Toph on his right. Sitting next to Toph was her mother, Clint, Master Yu and Natasha. Next to Aang was Katara, Sokka, Steve and Thor. Bruce sat at the other end of the table.

None of the occupants hardly said a word as they ate. Mr. Bei Fong looked amongst the dinner guests as they ate. The ones who were really enjoying the food was Sokka as he ate as fast and much as he could. A servant brought a bowl of soup for Toph and set it down in front of her. Seeing the steam from the bowl, Mr. Bei Fong ordered, "Blow on it- it's too hot for her."

"Allow me." Aang offered and raised his right hand. Holding it up straight, he flicked it to the side and created a small tornado that went across the table and blew the steam from Toph's bowl. Everyone except Toph, Katara, Sokka and the Avengers clapped in amazement to this. Mrs. Bei Fong then said, "Avatar Aang, it is such an honor to have you come visit us."

She looked amongst the Avengers and Aang's friends and said, "And it is very lovely to meet you all as well. Clint told us so much about the four of you."

"It makes me wonder where the final member of your group is." Master Yu is. Steve looked amongst his friends and said, "We're bound to find Tony somewhere."

"Well, I hope that you're able to find him. And I do hope that you're able to stop the fighting." Mrs. Bei Fong said. Katara looked to her brother and gave him a questioning look on her face as she watched him continue stuffing his. Mr. Bei Fong looked to Aang and asked, "Speaking of the struggle against the Fire Nation, and in your opinion, how much longer do you think that the war will last?"

"I'd like to defeat the Fire Lord by the end of the summer," Aang started. He looked over to Toph and said with a smile, "but I can't do that without finding an Earthbending teacher first."

Though she couldn't, Toph was basically glaring at him. Mr. Bei Fong chuckled and said, "Well, Master Yu is the finest teacher in the land."

Everyone looked to him as he was wiping his mouth with a napkin. Thor then said, "Unfortunately, Aang has already tried studying under Master Yu."

"He has?" Master Yu asked, not remembering the previous day. Steve then said, "And I doubt that Master Yu would be willing to travel with us since we can't stay in one place for so long."

"Probably not." Master Yu shook his head. Mr. Bei Fong then said, "Well, he's been teaching Toph since she was a little girl."

"Then she must be a great earthbender!" Aang said, getting a little ahead of himself. Both Toph and Clint were a little worried about what Aang would say. The Airbender said, "Probably good enough to teach someone else."

Suddenly, the earth silently rumbled as Toph lightly kicked forward and a small wave of earth hit Aang's foot. He jumped up, "Ow!"

Everyone, minus Clint, looked between Aang and Toph in confusion. But the young girl was calmly eating her meal as she brought the chopsticks up to her mouth. Master Yu didn't like his teaching being undermined as he said, "Toph is still learning the basics."

"Yes," Mr. Bei Fong agreed. He hung his head as he said, "And sadly, because of her blindness, I don't think that she will ever become a true master."

Aang and his friends all looked to each other as they were beginning to see what was going on. He then said, "Oh, I'm sure that she's better than you think she is."

But before he could say anymore, Toph slid her foot back and it pulled Aang's chair forward. Aang gave muffled yell when his face landed in his bowl. Everyone, but still minus Clint, became very surprised and confused as to what was happening. Aang raised his head and pushed the bowl to where it sat on top of his head. Toph's father once again looked to his daughter and she was once again eating. Aang was looking very annoyed by this as he lowered his hand from his head before wiping his face off. Then a sneaky idea came to him. Those on his side of the table didn't like the look in his eye before he moved his head back and let out a huge sneeze. The wind blew away the trays, bowls and plates of food to where it hit Toph, her mother, Clint, Nat and Master Yu in the face. The bowl fell from her face and Toph became angry when she stood from her seat and questioned, "What's your problem?!"

"Well, what's your problem?" Aang shot back. Mr. Bei Fong looked between the two and just about everyone could feel the intensity in the air. Master Yu, Natasha and Clint were wiping their faces off with a napkin. Mrs. Bei Fong tried to calm everything down by saying, "Well then, shall we… mover into the living room for desert?"

An hour later…

The sun had long set and the Bei Fongs had allowed the team to stay for the night. Appa was outside their room and Aang was petting the bison's head, "Good night, buddy."

"Was all that really necessary?" Natasha asked while Sokka and Katara sat down on the bed. Aang looked to her and said, "I know that I might have been a little out of line at the end there, but I was just trying to talk and-"

"Well, excuse us for not wanting to blow our secret." Clint said from behind. Aang turned and saw Toph standing with him. She was out of her formal white dress and more in a night gown now. But thinking that they were still at each other's throats, Aang gave a yell and assumed a stance. Clint snickered and said, "Relax, kid."

"Yeah, we're not hear to fight." Toph said and she leaned against the door frame. Then she offered, "Look. I'm sorry about what happened at dinner. Let's call a truce between us, okay?"

"Um, okay." Aang said and relaxed his guard. Toph then said, "Can we take a walk?"

"Sure." Aang said and followed Toph out of the room. Clint watched them go before looking to the others. Walking into the room he said, "So, been enjoying your time here?"

"You mean in town, or are you mostly talking to them?" Sokka asked while pointing to the four Avengers with his thumb. Clint shrugged and said, "Either I guess."

"Well, the town has been lovely." Sokka said with a grin. Steve then cut in, "Not to be rude or nothing, but I think that we have more pressing matters to talk about?"

"I do have a quick question." Thor said. Looking to his teammate he asked, "How long have you been with the Bei Fongs?"

"Basically ever since they hired me when I was at the capital." Clint said as he remembered the day. Steve then said, "I think that we really need to talk about a few important things, like the fact that Abomination is in town."

"Or what we're gonna do when we leave in the morning." Natasha added. Bruce threw in, "Or how we're gonna find Tony."

"Well, we're gonna slow it down a moment." Clint said. Then he said, "I don't know why specifically that Abomination's here, but I haven't seen his ugly face since last night."

"He's probably laying low." Thor said. But Bruce shook his head, "No, that's not how Blonsky operates."

"Bruce, we know that you two have a temporary yet rough history." Natasha said. Bruce then said, "Look, we just need to keep an eye out for him."

"Right." Steve nodded. Thor then said, "As for where Stark might be, I doubt that he would be in the Fire Nation, we probably would have heard of his capture or a rebellion."

"That's true." Katara nodded, even though she didn't know what Tony would do. Nat looked to her friend and asked, "That just leaves about in the morning."

"You're asking me to go with you." Clint guessed and looked amongst the group. Sokka then said, "Kind of, yeah."

"I would." Clint said and rubbed the back of his neck. But he glanced down the hall and said, "But I can't just yet."

"Toph?" Natasha asked. Clint nodded and said, "Yeah. I'm one of the things that keep her from going insane."

"Along with fighting in an underground earthbending competition." Sokka added. Clint shushed the teen and said, "Keep it down would ya, Toph's parents wouldn't understand if they found out."

"What makes you say that?" Katara asked. Clint gave a look as if to say that the answer was obvious, "Did you not hear what Mr. Bei Fong said at dinner?"

"I guess that it does make sense, given what we saw last night." Steve said and sat down on one of the beds. Thor then asked, "If I may ask, how is Toph able to earthbend like that?"

"Well, you see, it's mostly like this…" Clint started to explain.

\_|_/

Outside on the grounds of the estate, Aang and Toph were walking across the bridge. But Toph took it a step further and walked on the stone railing. Toph then explained how she was able to earthbend, "Even though I was born blind, I've never had a problem seeing. I've got my own way of seeing."

At the end of the bridge she hopped off of the railing. When she landed on her feet, Toph had a smile as she said, "I see with earthbending. It's kind of like seeing with my feet.

"I feel the vibrations in the earth, and I can basically tell where everything around me is." Toph said as she began to feel around. Then she pointed out, "You, that tree…" She really surprised Aang when she said, "Even those ants."

Aang looked around for the ants, but couldn't see them because of how dark it was. He gave up when he couldn't find them and turned to her with a grin, "That's really amazing."

"My parents don't understand." Toph said as her smile dropped. This surprised Aang as she took a few steps forward. They continued walking across the grounds and she said, "They've always treated me like I was completely helpless."

"Is that why you went and became the Blind Bandit?" Aang asked. Toph shrugged and said, "Yeah, kind of. But while most of everyone here see me as a helpless child, there was only one person who helped me to take the leap."

"Clint?' A surprised Aang asked. Toph turned her head and nodded. Then she said, "Though Master Yu helped me to basically get started, I was able to get better my own way. And when Clint saw what I could do, he helped me to take the leap and even took it with me, even though he wasn't an Earthbender."

"I do have another question: why stay here where you're not happy at all?" Aang asked. Toph said, "Well, Clint does make me happy ever since my parents hired him. And these past few months have really been great. But also, because of my parents. And where else am I supposed to go?

"Plus, me and Clint aren't really going to be together for much longer." Toph said with a frown. Aang arched a brow and asked, "What to do you mean?"

"Clint's employment or whatever it's called is almost over. His service to my parents as my bodyguard will end soon." Toph said. She seemed really upset and said, "And I don't want to lose one of the best friends that I've ever had."

"Well, the two of you could come with us." Aang suggested with a hopeful grin, not only for an earthbending teacher, but also for Toph and Clint's friendship. It sounded good to Toph as she said, "Yeah. You guys get to go wherever you want. Saving people and no one telling you what to do." She closed her eyes as she was wishing, "That sounds like the good life to me."

She sighed and said, "It's just not my life."

Suddenly, Toph felt familiar vibrations and became alert as she turned her head. Dropping down to the ground, she felt it and then warned Aang she said, "We're about to be ambushed!"

"What?" Aang questioned as she rose up. Running to Aang, she grabbed his hand and ran off with him. But they didn't get very far as the ground started rumbling beneath them and something underground followed after them. It moved in front of them and the man that acted like a mole jumped out of the ground. Both he and Toph assumed a fighting stance with Aang following suit with a stance of his own.

But before a brawl could begin, two metal cages fell on the two. The other fighters from the arena stood on the wall and the Hippo hopped down on the cages. Using his great strength he pushed them a little deeper and the bottoms closed.

Aang and Toph, though she couldn't see them, were both glaring at the Earthbenders. Xin Fu walked to the front of the group and said with a smirk, "I think that you kids owe me some money."

"Allow me." A voice that both Aang and Toph knew. They both yelped when the cages were ripped out of the ground. Though they couldn't see him, they could hear the Abomination laughing.

\_|_/

It was a little later when everyone had come out to see what was taking Aang and Toph so long. They walked out into the yard and Steve called out, "Aang!"

"Toph!" Her mother cried. Sokka turned to his left and said, "Over there! I see something!"

They all followed after him and everyone noticed the trail the mole man made and the hole he jumped out of. Then they saw the grooves in the ground not but a few feet from them. Sitting in the middle was a sword with a knife embedded into a scroll of paper. Sokka ripped it from the ground, "Whoever took Aang and Toph left us a little note."

"Thank you for stating the obvious." Natasha said before Katara removed the note. She read aloud, "If you want to see your daughter again, bring five hundred gold pieces to the arena. It's signed Xin Fu and the Boulder."

"I can't believe it." Sokka said before grabbing the scroll from his sister. He shocked the others when he ran a few feet and became excited, "I have the Boulder's autograph!"

"Sokka! He's one of the guys who kidnapped Aang and Toph." Steve angrily reminded while most of the others gave the teen deadpanned looks. Sokka nervously looked back to the super soldier and said, "Sorry. I got a little carried away."

Toph's mother walked away from her husband while he said, "Master Yu, Clint Barton, I need you two to help me get my daughter back."

"We're going with you." Katara said when she turned to him. Steve then said, "We all have someone at risk in this."

"But I think it's a trip." Bruce said, making them all look to him. Looking at them he said, "They're willing to only let Toph go. They must have something else planned for Aang."

"Then we'll need to come up with a plan." Steve nodded. Natasha looked to the ground and said, "I think things are getting worse."

"Why?" Thor asked. Clint looked where she was looking and said, "Because Abomination is with them."

"Abomination?" Mr. Bei Fong asked. Steve then said, "One of our enemies."

"Then let us hurry." Master Yu urged. Mrs. Bei Fong fell to her knees and said, "Oh, poor Toph!" She sniffled before saying, "She must be so scared right now."

Katara, Sokka, Steve, Thor, Bruce, Natasha and Clint all looked to each other with looks that said otherwise.

At the Earth Rumble Six arena, the fighters had raised the cages up into the air. Toph had her head facing down at the fighters when she shouted, "You all think that you're so tough- why don't you come up here so I can smack that grin right off your face!"

"I'm not smiling." Xin Fu said with an unamused face. But Abomination laughed and said, "And while I would enjoy a rematch, I'm going to restrain myself."

"That's a first." A voice said from behind surprising them. Then they heard someone shout, "Toph!"

Everyone turned to see Toph's father, Master Yu, and the Avengers with Katara and Sokka, standing at the other end of the ring. Holding up the sack, Sokka said, "Here's your money." Dropping it in front of Master Yu he demanded, "Now, let them go."

Master Yu then thrusted his foot and hand forward to make the sack of gold slide across the ground. It stopped and Xin Fu's feet and he picked it up. He quickly went through it before seeing that it was all there. Satisfied, he looked up and motioned for the cage to come down. Only Toph's cage was lowered and when it was but a few feet from the ground the Boulder opened it. Toph fell through the opening before getting up and running to her father. Placing a hand on his daughter's back, Mr. Bei Fong started lead her, Master Yu and Clint back to the entrance. Katara looked over to the other side and asked, "What about Aang?"

"I think that the Fire Nation will pay a hefty price for the Avatar." Xin Fu said as he revealed a wanted poster of Aang. Steve glared as he said, "Always willing to do a job for the money, huh."

"Nothing personal." Xin Fu shrugged. He smirked when he said, "It's just business."

"But we could make it more interesting." Abomination said with a cackle. Pointing at the group he said, "You could try and beat me to get him back, but losing to me means that you have to come with me to Princess Azula."

"But if you're chicken," Xin Fu said with a glare, "then get out of my ring."

The group prepared themselves to fight, but the sound of rumbling made them all look to their left to see a tornado of dust moving towards Xin Fu's group before revealing to be Fire Nation Man. Another fighter moved across the crystals from above before dropping down. The Hippo stomped up and crushed a boulder with his bare hands. The man with the wild hair burst from the audience seats and onto the ring. The last one to appear was the mole man as he emerged from the ground.

"We can't fight them all." Sokka said, growing really nervous. Thor shrugged and said, "We can try."

"No, he's right." Steve said as he looked amongst them all. Then he said, "If it were just Abomination or one or two Earthbenders we could take them. But I'd rather not push our luck."

"Then there's only two people who can help even out the odds." Katara said as she looked to where Toph and Clint disappeared to. Steve then said, "Go and see if you can get their help. We'll try to keep them occupied."

Steve placed his helmet on his head while reading his shield. Thor swung Mjolnir a few times before holding the handle. Natasha readied her Widow's Bite bracelets and Bruce became angry enough to transform into the Hulk.

Katara and Sokka quickly moved to go and get help. Captain America, Black Widow, Thor and the Hulk all charged forward while the Earth Rumble Six Fighters and Abomination all rushed forward as well. Abomination went right for Hulk as the two reared a fist back before throwing them forward. The fists collided together and created a shockwave that created cracks in the arena. Natasha launched herself up into the air and came down to try and kick Fire Nation Man. But the Fire Nation themed fighter was quick to raise his fist and raise a wall of earth between them. Natasha's foot connected against the stone slab and she pushed off before landing on the ground. Cap ran straight at Xin Fu and the Boulder. They both crossed an arm and a stream of earth came from the owner's left while the other came from the fighter's right. The super soldier took a leap and was able to pass through the two streams before rolling back onto his feet before removing his shield from his arm and flinging it at the two. The shield was able to knock the Boulder off of his feet, while Xin Fu once again threw a fist and a rock came out of the ground. Captain America threw fist and bashed through the rock with his fist before getting into a fist fight with Xin Fu. Thor was able to use Mjolnir to bash through whatever rocks came at him from the Hippo and the other fighters. The Avengers were able to hold their ground as the Hulk was able to slug Abomination in the face, Cap took up his shield again and bashed it against Xin Fu's face, Nat landed a kick against Fire Nation Man's side while Thor leapt up and brought Mjolnir down and knocked the others back.

But the tables quickly turned when the Boulder launched another large rock at Cap and the super soldier ducked, but the Boulder smirked and it made Captain America worry. He looked back to see it heading towards Natasha. He called out, "Nat, look out!"

But it left him open to an attack from Xin Fu as he launched three rocks at Cap. They knocked into his back and knocked the super soldier down.

Natasha, having heard Cap's shout, looked back just when the rocks were a few feet away from her. But she was saved when the Hulk came in and caught the rock in his hands. The Gamma Monster glanced back to Nat who smiled up at him. But it costed them as the Fire Nation Man was able to knock Natasha down with twister of earth while Abomination landed a heavy blow to the back of the Hulk's head.

Thor began to have trouble against the others when they started ganging up at him all at once. They were able to trip him up with a couple of rocks to the legs while a rock to the gut hit him in the gut. All five were knocked back and they all looked up to their enemies.

Katara and Sokka were really running to catch up to Toph and the others when they had looked back. They saw that their friends were really in trouble and ran to the tunnel. Reaching the opening, Katara shouted, "Toph! Clint! There's too many of them. The Avengers- They're getting overpowered."

"They need your help!" Sokka worriedly threw in. All four turned to them and Mr. Bei Fong was frustrated with how they thought that Toph could help, "My daughter is blind." He looked down to his only child as he said what he thought, "She is blind and tiny and helpless and fragile. She cannot help you."

"And Clint cannot help because his duty is to Toph." Master Yu put in. But Toph ripped her hand from her fathers and sounded determined when she said, "Yes. We can. And we will."

Both Toph and Clint walked back to the entrance while her father watched with worry. Master Yu placed a hand on Mr. Bei Fong's shoulder before the two followed after them to watch over her.

Back on the ring, Abomination and the fighters stood over the Avengers while someone lowered Aang's cage down to the ground. But before more could be done, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, the Hulk and Aang's cage were all pulled away from them. They looked in confusion to the other side of the ring and saw Toph and Clint behind the rescued heroes. Toph angrily said, "You're gonna leave us alone now. We've beaten you all before and we can do it again!"

"The Boulder takes issue with that comment." The Boulder said with a glare. Abomination narrowed his eyes and said, "That makes two of us."

All the bad guys started rushing forward to attack the group. Katara and Sokka moved forward to help Toph and Clint, but the blind Earthbender raised her arms to stop them, "Wait."

They waited a moment as she sensed all of the incoming fighters. Knowing that they had this, Toph made her decision. Turning her head to them she said, "Me and Clint will handle this."

Katara and Sokka looked to each other as they were unsure of this. But Clint smiled to them and said, "We've got this. Help get Aang out of that thing."

Toph then stomped on the ground before turning her head. Sokka, Katara and the Avengers, minus Clint, all watched in amazement as she brought her hands close before extending them and raising her arms up. As the fighters were getting closer the arena started to shake before Toph brought her arms close and stomped her foot again. Everyone was cut off guard when a cloud of dust was thrown up and they were tossed in it. The large dust cloud covered just about every inch of the arena. Turning her head to Clint she said, "Let's go for one last round, Ronin."

"Right behind ya, Blind Bandit." Clint said before following her to the dust cloud. Toph still had her arms raised as they walked into the dust cloud. Sokka and Katara looked to each other once more before helping the Avengers up on their feet. From the audience's seats, Mr. Bei Fong and Master Yu watched in amazement and worry.

Inside the dust cloud, the Fire Nation Man was moving around trying to find Toph and Clint. With a wave of his arms, he was able to clear away some of the dust before something quick came from behind and smacked Fire Nation Man upside the head. He groaned in pain but Clint quickly disappeared back into the dust cloud. As the dust continued to clear up a little, Toph made her move by being present in front of Fire Nation Man. He looked in front of him before gasping and then getting himself ready. He started to move his foot, but Toph only gave a smirk as she was ready. The Fire Nation Man swung his arms in a downward arch and the earth moved at Toph who only side stepped it. It flew right past her and she quickly followed up by raising a few stones from the ground that smacked into Fire Nation Man. He cried out as he was shot out of the ring and collided with the edge of where the audience sat. He fell to the ground while Toph's father and Master Yu watched in amazement. Down on the ground, Fire Nation Man groaned in pain.

Over with Aang in his cage, Cap and Sokka were hitting a lock with a rock and shield while the girls tried to pry it open from the bottom. Aang shouted to them, "Hit it harder!"

"We're doing the best we can!" Sokka and Cap shouted back. Thor and Hulk looked to each other before moving to help. Thor motioned for the two to step back while the Hulk took over for the girls.

Back in the dust cloud, the guy in the green mask was crawling around while looking for his foes. He heard a voice say from his left, "Hey, Gollum!"

The fighter looked in the direction and saw Toph and Clint standing there. Toph still wore her smirk as she prepared herself. The fighter was quick to jump up with a couple of rocks in his hands. But before he could even fling them, Clint was quick to jump into the air before landing on the guy's back. The man grunted when he hit the ground. But they didn't give him a breather as Clint jumped back and Toph followed up by kicking the ground with her heel and a pillar of earth hit him in the gut. He flew through the air before Toph followed up two more times. He was sent flying through the air before falling out of the ring. Fire Nation Man was starting to get up before looking up and gasping when the other guy crashed into him.

Back up in the arena, the mole man came tunneling towards them. Toph slid her foot as she felt him coming. When he pooped out of the ground, he threw a rock at Clint. But it was quickly caught by Toph before she flung it back at him. The guy's eyes widened before he was literally knocked through the ring and down below. Fire Nation Man and the Masked Fighter were just getting up when Mole Man came flying at them. All three cried out when he crashed into them.

With a swipe from Mjolnir the lock was undone and the Hulk ripped the bottom off. Aang was quick to jump out of the cage and got in a fighting stance. But he was stopped by Steve and Sokka. He looked to them before the Water Tribe teen shook his head and pointed to the dust cloud.

Everyone watched as the Hippo came stumbling out of the dust cloud growling while waving a huge earth ring around. A yelling Boulder was tossed out next. He crashed next to the Hippo before both turned back to the dust cloud. Abomination was next to come stumbling out as he was hit with a rock every second. When he stood with the Boulder and the Hippo, they all saw the Blind Bandit and the Ronin emerge from the cover. Both were ready to fight the three. Clint reached behind him and whipped out his bow before with a flick of the wrist turned it into a Bo Staff. The Boulder gave them a crazy look, the Hippo angrily pounded his chest and Abomination cracked his large knuckles. From his spot, Toph's father was looking very worried for his daughter.

The three larger opponents started moving towards them and Clint prepared to defend the two. But the sound of yelling from above caused Toph to hold her arm in front of him. They waited as the man with the wild hair came swinging and the other three came onto the ring. But Toph was quick with a stomp of her heel and before throwing her arms forward. The ring started rotating to place the three were Toph and Clint were and the man with the wild hair collided with them instead. Abomination pushed the three, "Get off of me!"

Clint and Toph's friends all watched in amazement to the spectacular show of Clint and Toph taking down the bad guys. The three Earthbenders groaned in pain while Abomination tried to rise to his feet. But Clint was quick to throw a bolo at them and it snared the four together. When they were all tied up, Toph once again smirked as she and Clint had them beat. She threw her fists out before moving them back and pointing her fingers straight out. The Boulder, the Hippo, Abomination and the man with wild hair were all thrown out of the ring. The other three down below were just getting back onto their feet when they looked up. All three cried out when the three falling Earthbenders crashed against them. When Abomination landed on all six of them, there were great screams of pain.

From up above them, even Master Yu and Mr. Bei Fong were also watching in amazement. Master Yu ran a hand against his head and said to Mr. Bei Fong, "I never knew." Pointing to the arena he said, "Your daughter is absolutely amazing. And the way she and Clint work so well together. Unimaginably creative."

Even though he agreed with Master Yu, Mr. Bei Fong couldn't help but still feel concerned for his daughter's safety. Back on the ring, Aang, Katara, Sokka and the Avengers were all standing on one side of the ring, while Toph and Clint stood on the more clear side. Raising her arms for a moment, she lowered them and the dust cloud dissipated to reveal the final fighter; Xin Fu. Preparing himself, Xin Fu slightly twisted his head and cracked his neck. Then he stood in a stance where he placed a foot behind him while raising his hands in front of him. Clint leaned to Toph and asked, "Want him to yourself?"

"Gladly." Toph said, her smirk never faltering. Clint took a few steps back to avoid being caught in the middle of the brawl. Toph then spat on the floor, much to the dismay of her father as he thought it wasn't very lady like. Toph then moved her arms in front of her while moving around the middle of the ring while Xin Fu did the same. Neither Toph or Xin Fu turned away from each other as they continued to move around the middle. Xin Fu made his move by swinging his arm upwards and raising a large rock from the ground. With a kick he launched it forward. He raised two more before sending them forward with a kick. Then raising another four he sent them forward as well. He raised one final and much bigger boulder from the ground before kicking it forward and then stood in a different stance.

Toph had sensed them coming when Xin Fu brought them up and raised her hands to create a triangular barrier that deflected the rocks. All the rocks bounced off of the barrier. When they stopped, Toph flicked her right hand forward and the right side of the barrier shot towards Xin Fu. Xin Fu was able to jump out of the way while spinning before piercing the ground with his hand. But it was what Toph needed as it sent vibrations through the ground and Toph could sense the attack. She was able to step back against the remaining barrier when Xin Fu sent a rock her way. It flew right past her and the remaining rocks went by her, Toph made her move. Turning to Xin Fu she slammed her hand against the ground and a wave of earth was sent straight at him. Xin Fu became very worried as he was vulnerable as he was still in the air. The attack collided with him and sent him flying from the ring. He crashed in the space between Master Yu and Mr. Bei Fong before sliding down.

All of Toph's friends stared in amazement that she was able to pull it off. Sokka was so surprised that he fainted. But before anything could be said or done, the Abomination came up with a leap and came down on Toph. Everyone gasped in shock in case she was to be hurt, but the Hulk came flying in and landed a punch to Abomination in the face. It once again sent Abomination flying out of the ring and crashing to the ground below. Sokka, having sat up, had seen it go down before fainting once again.

Thor hoisted the teen over his shoulder before joining their friends over to Toph. From their seat, Master Yu was greatly impressed, "She is the greatest Earthbender that I have ever seen."

And while Mr. Bei Fong once again agreed with him, he knew that something needed to be done to protect Toph.

\_|_/

The group had made it back to the Bei Fong estate later that evening. Mr. Bei Fong provided Bruce with some new clothes as in thanks to their help. But both Toph and Clint knew that it was time to come clean about a few things. The group stood behind them while Toph and Clint stood before the girl's parents. Toph said, "Dad, I know that it's probably hard for you to be seeing me this way, but the obedient, little, helpless blind girl that you think I am just isn't me.

"And even though Clint helped me discover who I am, it was still my choice to do it." She said, trying to get a little of the heat off of Clint. Then she said with a grin, "I love fighting. I love being an Earthbender." It dropped when she said, "And I'm really, really good at it."

Toph's parents listened to her continue, "I know that me and Clint have kept this secret life from you, but you were keeping me secret from the whole world. I know that you were doing it to protect me. But I'm twelve years old and besides Clint, I've never had a single friend that's more my age."

"I don't know whether to be insulted or what." Clint joked. The group behind them looked to each other while remaining silent. Toph laughed a little too before getting serious again, "So now that you seem me for who I really am, I hope that it doesn't change the way you feel about me."

"Of course not." Mrs. Bei Fong shook her head. Even Mr. Bei Fong nodded, "We'll always love you, Toph. This all doesn't change it. And it's helped me to realize something."

"It has?" Toph asked, feeling a little hopeful that they'll loosen up on everything. The Avengers had a feeling that it wasn't going to be good. Mr. Bei Fong nodded, "Yes. I've let you have far too much freedom." Mrs. Bei Fong nodded as he said, "From now on, you will be cared for and guarded twenty-four hours a day."

"But Dad!" Toph protested. Clint then said, "Sir, if I may. I think that Toph mostly did this is because she already feels constricted enough, like she already had limited freedom. This is just going to make her rebel even more."

"You have no say in this!" Mr. Bei Fong shouted at the archer. Pointing an accusing finger he said, "You showed and allowed her to keep doing this… this fiasco. I hired you to watch over Toph and keep her out of danger and you do the exact opposite." With a glare he said, "I want you off my property. In fact…" He turned his attention to the group he stood in his seat and ordered, "Please escort Mr. Barton, the Avatar, the Avengers and their friends out. They are no longer welcomed in my home."

"Dad, please don't do this." Toph tried to fight. But her mother said, "We're only doing this for your own good Toph."

A servant came up next to the group and ushered them to the door. Clint followed after them and hung his head. But before he left her side, Clint looked to Toph and said, "Take care of yourself, Toph."

"Goodbye, Clint." Toph said as she hung her head as well. Aang looked back and said, "I'm really sorry about this you guys."

"I'm sorry, too." Toph said as Clint walked with them. She started to cry when she said, "Good-bye, Aang and Avengers."

As she could feel them leaving the house, a tear rolled down Toph's cheek. Clint was allowed to get the few things that belonged to him during his stay with the Bei Fongs.

The group had had come to a hill and were preparing Appa to leave. Aang and Clint stood at the edge of the hill and looked down to the Bei Fong estate. Katara, Steve and Natasha all joined them. Katara looked to Aang and said, "Don't worry, we'll find you a teacher. There are plenty of amazing Earthbender's out there."

"Not like her." Aang shook his head. Clint said, "Even though I was only with her for a short time, it was just as good as Budapest."

"Really?" Natasha asked her friend. Clint smirked and said, "Yeah. Had she been there, Budapest would have been even better."

"I'll take your word for it." Natasha chuckled. Steve then said, "Come on. We need to get going."

Up in Appa's saddle, Momo, Thor and Bruce watched as Sokka polished the belt. Bruce asked him, "Don't you think that's in poor taste considering what happened?"

"Somewhat." Sokka said as he continued. Thor and Bruce just gave the teen deadpanned looks. Katara, Steve, Natasha and Clint all walked up Appa's tail while Aang used his airbending to jump on the bison's head. But before Aang could flick the reins, a sound came to the group's ears. They all looked to see Toph, in her Blind Bandit outfit, running up the hill. Clint asked, "Toph?"

"Don't leave without me?" She said with a smirk as she stopped next to the bison. Aang then asked, "But Toph, what are you doing here?"

"My dad changed his mind." Toph said with a grin. She sounded really excited when she said, "He said that I was free to travel the world with you guys."

They all looked to each other, figuring that it might be true or not, but decided not argue with it. Sokka looked down to the girl with a grin and said, "Well, we better hurry up and get out of here, before your dad changes his mind again."

"Good idea." Toph nodded. Appa turned his head to his new passenger as Aang said, "You're going to be a great teacher, Toph."

"Speaking of which, Aang, I've got something that I want to show you." Toph said. Aang was quick to jump down from Appa's head, "Oh, okay."

But when he landed, Toph was quick to kick the ground with her heel and a mound of earth sent Aang back up into the air. The group was surprised to see Aang get stuck in the tree. He hung in a branch by a leg while Toph sounded satisfied, "Now we're even from yesterday.

"Um, I'll take back the belt now." Toph said and raised her arm up to Sokka. Sokka didn't seem to happy about it as hie unclipped it. He threw it down when Clint shouted, "Sokka, wait!"

But it was too late as the belt fell and hit Toph upside the head. She fell to the ground, "Ow!"

"Sorry. My bad." Sokka winced when he realized his mistake. Aang fell out of the tree and landed with a thud, making everyone minus Toph look to him.

Back at the Bei Fong estate, Mr. and Mrs. Bei Fong had learned about their daughter's disappearance and the latter was distraught. Mr. Bei Fong recalled Master Yu and had liberated Xin Fu from prison. Mr. Bei Fong said, "I know that you two are very different and that we've had some rough, short history together."

Mr. Bei Fong looked to Xin Fu when he said, "And I am sorry to hear about the deaths of three of your fighters."

"It was that blasted monster's doing." Xin Fu said with a glare. But Mr. Bei Fong then said, "But I do know that there is a common interest."

A servant walked in with a chest. He set it down on the table and opened the lid. Both Master Yu and Xin Fu were surprised or interested when the chest was full of gold. Looking between them Mr. Bei Fong said, "This should be enough to help compensate for all your troubles. But it comes with a job."

"We're listening." The two said while glancing to the other. Mr. Bei Fong said, "The Avatar and the Avengers have kidnapped my daughter. I want you two to do whatever it takes to bring her home."

Xin Fu and Master Yu both bowed as they agreed to do this. When the business was done, they left the estate to complete their mission.

As they flew through the night sky, Toph had a content smile on her face. Clint placed a hand on her shoulder as he smiled as well. Appa gave a low growl as he flew off.

Author's Note: And this chapter is done. I am so glad to have gotten this chapter done. Now we have Toph and Clint joining the party. And don't worry, Tony will be joining the team, but not until later in the season or whatever you want to call it. But Tony is going to appear in the next chapter. But before I get to it, I'm going to work on another series that I've been wanting to do. I look forward to reading your reviews. Be sure to leave a comment either about if I've done something wrong or if you want something specifically to happen. See you next time.
