Katara: Water, Soldier, Mechanist, God, Earth, Fire, Spy, Archer, Monster, Air

(One by one, eight figures do something to show off their skills: the Waterbender weaves a stream of water from the ground, around him and then thrusts it towards the side, the soldier blocks an attack with his shield before throwing it, the mechanist has armor envelope him and then uses the repulsor on his hand to blast something on the side, the god holds a powerful hammer high to summon a bolt of lightning, the Earthbender kicks the ground bringing up a large rock before he kicks it away, the Firebender twists around as she summons fire from her foot before doing a high kick to the ground and makes the flames spread, the spy drops down from above and displays a few moves, the archer rolls across the ground and fires a few arrows, and finally the monster comes down from a jump and smashes his huge fists on the ground, the Airbender drops down and then with a circle of his arms he creates a blast of wind.)

Katara: Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked.

(Docked on a shore, five Fire Nation ships with the Hydra insignia released their soldiers. With a jump forward and a palm thrust, the firebenders released a wave of fire as the Hydra soldiers used their advanced technology.)

Katara: Only the Avatar, master of all four elements could stop them. But when the world needed him most, he vanished.

(The Avatar, a man with a crown on his head and dressed in robes stands on a pillar of stone as he bent the four elements of water, earth, fire and air to show his skill in the arts of bending. After releasing a powerful disk of wind, he disappears from existence.)

Katara: A hundred years passed and my brother and I discovered the new Avatar: an Airbender named Aang and met the team called the Avengers.

(The water tribe siblings find a young Airbender frozen in block of ice. After freeing him, they are then joined by heroes called Captain America, Ironman, Thor, Hulk, Clint, and Natasha.)

Katara: And although with the teams help and his airbending skills are great, hehas a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone.

(At an Air Nomad path, Aang creates an air scooter and starts to have fun with it. But when he expands his circle a little bit, he runs right into a statue. He rolls over onto his back as all six of the Avengers then poke their heads from behind the statue to check on him.)

Katara: But I believe the Avengers and Aang can save the world.

(Aang, Steve, Katara, Tony, Thor, Bruce, Sokka, Clint, Toph and Natasha stand side by side, looking down at the world on a mountain's peak for a moment as the reader's view is turned upwards to the sun.)

Avatar Roku: Previously, on Avenging Avatar…

Looking between the two he said, "Well, other than the two of you, I do have a few others in mind. But I have yet to find them."

"So you want our help in tracking them down?" Sam asked, feeling that they had a new mission on their hands. Nick nodded before opening one of the drawers and pulling out a few files.

"Each one with their own set of abilities." Nick said to them.

Then he said, "Most recently, more individuals from ours and the Avengers world have appeared into this one. Each one with their own unique abilities."

"And if they meet up, it could mean trouble." Azula figured from what he was telling her. Zola nodded again, "Yes, Princess."

"How soon can we get a word to the Fire Lord and the Red Skull?" She asked when she looked to Rumlow. Crossbones looked to her and said, "At the latest, about a day."

"Then we need to send the Red Skull a message that we'll be needing some additional forces in order to turn the tide." Azula said and rose from her throne.

Book Two: Earth

Chapter Seventeen: More Villains

Far across the sea from the Earth Kingdom, in the Hydra base just outside of the capital city, there was much movement. A couple of Hydra agents were moving about the place as one was carrying a message through the halls. They soon came into a conference room where the Red Skull stood at a table. He was making some adjustments on the devices on his body before coming to a stop. Johann Schmidt glanced back to them and questioned, "Yes, what is it?"

"News from the princess, sir." One of the Hydra agents reported and handed him the scroll. Johann broke the seal of the scroll and unrolled it to look at the contents. He was surprised what the princess of the Fire Nation had to say, but he closed his eyes and lowered the parchment after finishing it. He sighed, "It would seem that the war effort is not going as planned."

"The drill failed?" One of the agents asked. The Red Skull nodded and said, "It was done by the work of the Avatar and the Avengers." He clenched his fist and was starting to seethe when he said, "They have been a thorn in our side since emerging in this world.

"Or reemerging." He shrugged when he thought of the Avatar. He bashed his fist against a table, "But now we are alerted to the presence of more enhanced individuals."

"What will you do, sir?" The other agent said. Thinking for a moment, he came to a conclusion. Turning to them he said, "Take a message to the Fire Lord. Tell him that I will be returning to my world. To gather the necessary reinforcements in order to help turn the tide in our favor."

"Yes, Lord Schmidt." The two agents bowed before moving out to carry out the Red Skull's orders. The Red Skull turned and looked at a large map that showed the entire world. He looked about of the spots of the Earth Kingdom and what had been marked as claimed by the Fire Nation and Hydra. Then he looked at all those that still had yet to be conquered. His gaze shifted to the large illustration that was known as Ba Sing Se. His eyes narrowed when he said, "Soon, Captain Rogers. We will meet on the field of battle once again."

\_|_/

Some time later, the Red Skull was standing in the Fire Lord's throne room. The leader of the Fire Nation was hidden behind his veil of flames. After hearing what the leader of Hydra had to say, Fire Lord Ozai then asked, "So, we are in need of reinforcements to handle the newcomers you say."

"Unfortunately so, my lord." Johann nodded to confirm. Then he said, "Zola may be able to help create some forces to help. But we are in agreement that it would be best if we brought in some additional forces."

"Very well, Johann." Fire Lord Ozai gave his consent. Johann then bowed and promised, "I will be back shortly with the necessary recruitments."

"I have faith in you." Fire Lord Ozai said and the Red Skull nodded before turning and taking his leave. When he was right outside the palace, Johann quickly opened up a portal that went back to his own Earth to begin his mission. And as he approached the glowing blue vortex, a smirk grew on his face as he had an idea of where to start.

New York City, New York, U.S.A.…

The city of New York was hardly the same after the disappearance of Earth's mightiest heroes disappearing. And in one of the taller towers of the city, none were taking their absence as an opportunity like Wilson Fisk, aka the Kingpin, and the Tracksuit Mafia. He was able to operate his dealings without having to worry about the interference of the heroes. The big man himself was standing in an office near the top of the tower that was overlooking the city. With a sigh he ran a hand over his dark colored head. He did wonder about what happened to the heroes when there was a knock on his office door. He didn't look back when he said, "Come in."

Entering the room was one of the Tracksuit Mafia men. He was an older gentleman with a small mustache and orange tinted glasses and an orange tracksuit. Kingpin glanced back and questioned, "What news do you have for me?"

"The profit numbers have really risen ever since the Avengers disappeared sir." The subordinate said with a nod. He seemed a little happy when he said, "Business has never seemed so good."

"As it should have been." Fisk said with narrowed eyes as he continued to stare out the window. With a wave of his hand, he sent the Tracksuit away. When the man left, the phone on Kingpin's desk started to ring. Wilson Fisk turned to the ringing item and picked up the receiver. Lifting it to his ear he responded, "Yes."

"Wilson Fisk." A German accent said over the phone. Kingpin's eyes narrowed from the voice and he questioned, "Who is this?"

"A potential ally." Was all that the voice told him. Then he was instructed, "Meet me on the roof of your building in ten minutes. We have some things to discuss."

"If I find out that this is some kind of-" Fisk started to warn. But he was cut off when the voice said, "I assure that this is no trick."

Wilson Fisk didn't get a chance to ask any more questions when the other end of the phone line hung up. With an irritated groan, Kingpin slammed the phone back into place and walked around his desk. He swore that if this person was wasting his time, he'd show them why they call him Kingpin.

Wilson Fisk reached the top of the roof and stood at the center waiting for whoever had called him to show. He took a glance at his watch and said, "Better not be wasting my time."

A bright flash of light made him look up from the small device on his wrist and he shielded his eyes when a blue vortex opened up on the top of his building. A moment later, the blinding light faded and he looked again to see a man whose skin was dark red. Recognizing him, Fisk said with wide eyes, "The Red Skull?"

"Greetings." Johann Schmidt replied with a nod and took a step forward. Kingpin folded his hands in front of him and asked, "To what do I owe the visit?"

"I'm here to give you a proposition." Johann simply told him. Fisk quirked a brow and asked, "Proposition?"

"Your business has been greatly expanding due to the Avengers' absence, yes?" The Red Skull asked him. Kingpin gave a small nod to confirm this. The Red Skull then theorized, "Should the Avengers possibly make their return to this world, that empire could come crashing down. And all that you have built will have been for nothing."

"What do you need?" Kingpin asked him. Extending his hand, Johann then said, "Join me in helping some allies of mine win their war, and we will make sure that the Avengers; especially Clint Barton is unable to get in your way again."

Clint's name seemed to anger the crime boss as he growled in contempt. The archer had made a great enemy out of the crime lord and to see Barton dealt with would bring great ease to his mind. Without another thought, Wilson Fisk extended his hand and said, "Consider the Kingpin under your service."

"Excellent." Johann Schmidt said and shook the hand. When he retracted his appendage he ordered, "Gather all the forces that you can. I will alert you when we are ready to move out."

"It'll be done." Kingpin nodded before walking back into the building. The Red Skull on the other hand turned and opened up another portal for himself to go through.

Mexico City, Mexico

In the downtown section of Mexico City, a group of men were running from their lives as something was chasing them. They rushed into a building and bolted the doors behind them. The thing chasing them bashed against the door and all the men either readied what weapons they had or picked up something from their surroundings. They all became very afraid when the thing on the other side continued to bang on the doors. An eerie silence came about the room when it suddenly stopped and looked about the place. Sweat started to run really fast from their foreheads as they waited for the thing to come back. But when nothing happened after a moment or two, they calmed down and one of the men breathed a sigh of relief. Their false sense of security costed them as something crashed through the roof of the building and the rubble ended up flattening one of the men. The others looked to the spot with really scared looks as a figure rose out of the dust. A feral growl came from the figure and one of the men defending shouted, "Attack!"

Some of them ran up to the figure with their weapons raised. But the figure ducked when one swung before punching the man hard in the chest. The man was sent flying and he ended up crashing through one of the windows of the building. Those nearest to the window glanced out to see the guy sitting against the wall across the road. He didn't seem to be moving as a small trickle of blood ran from his head. They looked back to the figure when he said, "Either you guys are even dumber than you look, or you guys need to rethink your position."

"Shut up!" One of the other guys said before raising a gun at the figure. The guy attacking them only smirked and said, "Fair warning, that won't work on me."

But it didn't seem to make the guy stop from unloading a couple of bullets into their attacker. The bullets hit the guy, but he didn't seem to go down as he released a feral holler before dropping down on all fours before launching forward. He tackled into one of the men and knocked them to the ground. Then gripping the man by his shirt and flinging him across the room. The man ended up crashing into a column before dropping to the ground dead.

"Still think that you fellas have a chance?" The figure questioned when he stood up again. The remainder of the group decided to fight to the end and charged for the figure. The smirk on the man's face grew into a toothy grin as they came at him and his nails suddenly extended a little.

Ten minutes later…

The sounds of fighting ended when the man, Victor Creed, slashed through the last man's throat. The man could only gasp as he could feel the life fading from him. Victor let the man fall to the ground and glanced back when he said, "I can smell you back there."

"Nothing escapes from your nose, does it?" A German Voice said from the shadows. Victor turned to face whomever it was and the newcomer stepped into the light. Victor's eyes widened a little when he saw who it was, "Johann Schmidt."

"Victor Creed. Otherwise known as Sabertooth." Johann Schmidt returned. Victor's claw-like fingers twitched and his eyes narrowed. The Red Skull raised his hand in a nonthreatening manner and said, "I have not come to pick a fight."

"Then why are you here?" Sabertooth questioned the leader of Hydra. The Red Skull then said, "I know that you are familiar with a mutant by the name of Wolverine."

"Yeah, I know him." Victor gave a shrug. Then he demanded, "What about him?"

"He seems to be a bit of a thorn in both our sides." The Red Skull said. Victor quirked a brow and smirked when he asked, "So he's giving Hydra some trouble, eh?"

This seemed to make Johann Schmidt furrow his brow a little. Victor stepped away from the bodies and asked, "What do you want me to do about it? He's a big man that makes his own decision."

"And yet you feel a bit of hatred towards him." Johann countered and it made Sabertooth stop in his tracks. Victor pointed one of his claws at the Red Skull and said, "What happens between me and Jimmy is none of your business."

"Apologies." The Red Skull said as he walked around and took a look at the bodies. Then he asked, "So there's nothing that could sway to get him out of the way."

"Eh, maybe it is time for a little reunion." Victor said as he looked at his claws. With a smirk and a shrug he said, "I guess I'll join your little club."

"I will come back for you when I am ready. Be prepared to leave." The Red Skull said as he walked towards the door. Victor snickered and it made Johann look back to him. Sabertooth then said, "Hope you're willing to wait a few days. I've got one more job to do. I got to go after a man with a small mustache and orange tinted glasses."

"Then make it fast. We do not have long." Was all the Red Skull said before walking out of the building. Victor narrowed his eyes at the leader of Hydra as he disappeared out into the street.

San Francisco, U.S.A….

Night soon came over the Western hemisphere, especially over the city of the Golden Gate Bridge. While most of the city seemed to be hustlin' and bustlin' in a good way, it wasn't so much for the prison near the city. It was a bit of a bleak night for one of the inmates. Cletus Kasady, a maniac serial killer, wearing the usual orange prisoners uniform, was bound by his middle, arms and legs to a table and had some tubes injected into his arms. He looked up to see curtains being pulled back to reveal a group of people watching from a window while someone said over an intercom, "Cletus Kasady, you have been tried and convicted and sentenced to death by the state of California. May your passing bring closure to the victim's families and may you find a sense of peace in the hereafter."

"And so comes chaos. And carnage soon comes after." Kasady said as a maniac grin formed on his face. One the guys, the warden of the prison, standing in the room with him asked, "Are those going to be your final words, Cletus?"

"Nope." Cletus chuckled before raising his head to the window and saw the angry or crying people. He gave his last words to them, "Enjoy the show, folks. One time action only I'm afraid."

With that said, he rested his head against the pillow while the warden looked to a clock on the wall. He saw the time to see that the time was nine. With a swift motion, he walked over to a control box for the serums to be injected into Cletus. He flipped a couple of switches and some of it was pushed down from the syringe and into Kasady's body. But Cletus didn't fear it as he closed his eyes. The man flipped a couple more switches and another set of syringes were emptied. But before the concoction could be added, a red substance emerged from the tub and pushed the green liquid back. Cletus' eyes shot open as he began to feel something strange stirring within him. His body and the bed started to shake and the guard alerted, "Uh, Warden."

The man turned away from the control box and looked to Kasady. Cletus started spasming a little when he said in a distorted voice, "Something wicked is coming out!"

Those outside of the kill room looked to each other with worry as they didn't know what was going to happen. Cletus looked down at his body as small, red tendrils started emerging from him. He yelled in slight pain as they continued to appear and grow in size. The security guard whipped out his gun and started shooting at the tendrils even though they had no effect on them. The warden banged on the windows and shouted, "Get us out of here!"

The people outside started running for their lives as things started getting out of hand. With one final scream from Cletus Kasady, the red tendrils expanded outward and caused the glass of the room to explode. It also made the warden tumble out of the room as well through an opened window. He groaned as he raised his head and looked up with fear in the room now illuminated by red. He saw tendrils moving about the room and the security guard came screaming out of the room. But the man didn't get far when one of the tendrils shot out and grabbed him from behind. The guard screamed as he was yanked back in and the warden cringed when he heard sickening crunch from within the room. He fearfully backed up when he saw something coming towards the opening, "N-No."

Large red hands suddenly gripped the edges of the door and made the metal creak when it pushed. The warden was a little confused when it retreated back into the room. He rose to his feet and fearfully backed away as the tension in the air increased. Suddenly, a big red creature came roaring out of the room and the warden screamed as he turned and ran past another guard. The creature saw him running and with a swipe of a tendril he knocked the guard out of the way. Then with a small leap, the creature knocked the warden off his feet before grabbing him by the head and hoisting him into the air. The creature turned the frightened man to him and opened his jaws to devour him. But before it could enjoy the little snack, the sounds of the blaring alarms made him cry out in pain and drop the warden in the process. The warden turned and ran while the creature turned to the siren and knocked it off the wall with a single swipe of his hand. It turned back to the warden who had ran past a cage while another guard ran up with a readied gun.

But the creature made short work of the guard by stabbing the man with one of his tendrils. It then chased after the warden into the cell block. Shooting a tendril forward, it gripped a table before pulling it back and tripping the warden up. The warden grunted when he fell over and the creature threw the table away to get to him better. The warden was able to get back onto his feet and continued running while more guards showed up on both sides of the creature and started shooting at it. But the red symbiote opened up his middle and the bullets from the guards hit those on the other side. Closing himself back up, the creature raised both hands before making tendrils from a couple of fingers and impaling the guards in front of him while jabbing those behind him with the tendrils on his back. Those he had stabbed with his hands he raised and bashed them against the roof of the prison before throwing them onto the floors of the higher cells. The creature looked to his right when another guard shouted, "Don't move!"

But the creature moved by throwing is hand forward and taking the guard into his elongated grip. Then with a quick motion of his arm, the creature sent the screaming guard crashing through a couple of iron supports before tossing him into an open cell. The creature reared his head back and roared, "Let there be Carnage!"

Carnage then leaped up onto another floor of the prison before using his tendrils to pull him along after the warden. The red symbiote then ripped the doors to a few cells as he went by before jumping onto the other side of the block. Down below, a guard was shooting at Carnage while the symbiote was hardly feeling a thing. The guard with the gun followed Carnage's movements as he went by and the red symbiote managed to grab another guard before pulling the screaming man to the ground. The guard grunted when he the floor and Carnage causally tossed him behind him. The guard ended up hitting the concrete floor pretty hard and didn't seem to get back up again. The guard continued shooting at Carnage when the symbiote when he decided that it was enough. With a quick movement of his body, Carnage grabbed the man and slammed him into a wall. The symbiote looked ready to eat the man when the guard pleaded, "Please."

It seemed to make the symbiote stop for a moment. Carnage looked at the scared man with a bit of curiosity. The guard then said, "I got a family."

But it didn't seem to be enough to sway Carnage as he went and tossed the guard into the air. As the guard came back down, the symbiote stabbed all four tendrils on his back into the man. The guard ended up falling to the floor dead and Carnage violently ripped his appendages out with a screech. He whipped away another guard when they came to close to him before throwing a nearby table at another one. The other inmates started clapping and cheering from the death and destruction that the symbiote had wrought. That is until Carnage spotted the warden trying to run again. With a wicked grin, the symbiote started spinning around really fast and it created a twister that made everyone run away. The warden cried out as he launched himself to a piece of metal attached to the ground and tried to keep himself grounded. But it wasn't enough when one of Carnage's tendrils grabbed him by the leg and yanked him into the tornado. When he was brought before Carnage, the symbiote gripped the man by the shoulders. The warden could only watch in fear as Carnage's head moved itself to reveal a smirking Cletus Kasady looking back at him. Kasady chuckled when he rephrased the man's question to him, "Any last words, warden?"

"No, please!" The man shouted as Carnage came over Cletus' face again. The warden screamed as Carnage lunged forward and devoured him in the twister. When he was done, Carnage let the body drop to the floor before making his way to a wall. The symbiote busted out of the prison and dropped to the ground before roaring into the night. With opposition waiting for him, Carnage started walking for the gate while retreating back into Kasady's body. All while Cletus started singing a tune of new found freedom.

Cletus soon found himself in the woods and took a moment to see what was going on. He glanced back when a tendril red emerged from his back and came around before forming Carnage's face. Cletus chuckled before saying, "I'm having a hard time believing that this isn't a dream."

"Trust me. It isn't." Carnage assured him. Kasady looked down at himself and then said, "I need some new duds. Can't exactly blend in with a prison outfit or whatever it is you are."

"Since we've grown so close I'm gonna ignore that." Carnage said before adding, "And we need to focus on dealing with the other one, the one that I came from."

"All in good time." Cletus promised when he held his hands together. With a laugh, Cletus turned to walk into town. Unbeknownst by either man or symbiote, they had no idea that they were being watched from a distance.

It wasn't long when Cletus and Carnage had made it into town. They had just taken care of someone who was wearing some clothes that he had taken a liking to and finished buttoning up a shirt. When he finished, Kasady leaned down and picked up a pair of orange tinted glasses. He scoffed at them and tossed them away before walking away. Carnage's tendril slithered off the man's body before retreating back into Cletus. But before they could get to far, Cletus noticed Carnage's reflection in the mirror and looked to hear Carnage say in his head, "Look alive. We've got some company."

"I could tell it too when we got into town." Kasady agreed before glancing behind him. He said to the person in the shadows, "You should know that it's rude to be stalking people.

"And I should know." He added before Carnage's tendrils shot out of Cletus' back and into the shadows. A figure quickly ducked and rolled out of the way. When the figure was out in the open, one of Carnage's tendrils was able to wrap around the guy and lifted him into the air. But when he got a good look at the man, Cletus' face became surprised when he said, "As I live and breathe.

"The Red Skull." He said while the man in question was struggling in the tendril's grip. The tendril brought Johann a little closer and Cletus lightly jabbed when he said, "History tells us that you're supposed to be dead, my friend."

"Like you, I am a survivor." Johann calmly said before using the powers of the Tesseract to escape the symbiote's hold. He reappeared a few feet from the pair and said, "And I know what the both of you want."

"How could you possibly know that?" Carnage questioned when his head emerged into the world. Johann reached into his coat and brought out a newspaper. Cletus seemed to grow very upset and the Red Skull said, "The one known as Eddie Brock did not fulfill your wishes, correct."

"Yeah." Kasady angrily said and clenched his fist in response. Johann looked to the symbiote and said, "And I have a feeling that you want to destroy the one that you're spawned from."

"It's the only thing that'll let me sleep." Carnage said as he thought that destroying the symbiote he came from would bring him a sense of happiness. Johann then revealed, "Well, I'm afraid that I must tell you that neither of them are on Earth at the moment."

"What?" Symbiote and host asked at the same time. The Red Skull nodded and said, "Right now they're on another world and interfering with the plans of my associates and I. I am in the middle of recruiting additional forces to help deal with them."

"And you want our help?" Cletus questioned. Johann only nodded to confirm this. Carnage then questioned, "What's in it for us?"

"Besides getting your revenge?" Johann asked with a sly looking grin. Then he shrugged when he said, "How about causing a little chaos on the enemy."

That made Cletus and Carnage look to each other. They seemed to be intrigued by the offer and Cletus asked, "What do you think?"

"It's too good an opportunity to pass up on." Carnage said, not thinking much about it. With a growl he added, "Take the deal."

"Okay, we're in." Kasady nodded to the Red Skull. But then he added, "But first, I need to go and find something that I've lost."

"Such as?" Johann Schmidt questioned, feeling that this was getting irritating to him. Cletus then said, "Someone very dear to me." He shrugged when she added, "Plus, she'll be of great help to the cause."

"Fine. I will contact you when we are ready for departure." The Red Skull said. Then he warned them, "Do not be late."

"You got it, chief." Cletus Kasady said before walking down the alley. Carnage cast one last glance to the leader of Hydra before retreating back into Kasady. The Red Skull watched him go and then heard him shout, "Ooh, the red one! I always did love the red ones!"

The Red Skull just sighed before turning to take his leave.

After about twelve hours later, the Red Skull was standing within another hidden Hydra base. There were a few agents that had remained on their world to continue the base of operations while the main forces were away. Johann Schmidt looked to an agent and asked, "Is everything ready?"

"Yes, sir. All forces you have come into contact with are ready for departure." The agent nodded to his leader. A small grin formed on the Red Skull's face as things were coming together. Slowly raising his hands he said, "And now to bring them here before departing back to the war front."

With a swift wave of his hand, the Red Skull created three different portals to the locations of his new allies.

\_|_/

New York City, New York, U.S.A….

Over in New York, in a parking garage of one of his buildings, Wilson Fisk stood in front of a group of men who each held some pretty big guns in their arms. Kingpin turned to them and said, "We have been given a great opportunity, boys! We have a chance to do away with those who have been hampering our operations."

The men let out loud cheers to this and pumped a fist into the air. Fisk then said, "The Red Skull has promised us the spoils of whatever war he's bringing us into.

"Which means, even more opportunities will present themselves." He added with a grin. More shouts approval came from the Jumpsuit Mafia and other factions of his empire. The men suddenly shielded their eyes when a blue flash of light appeared behind their boss. Kingpin turned and held his hand over his eyes before recognizing it as their ride. With a forward motion of his arm, Wilson Fisk shouted, "Forward men."

He started to make his way towards the portal and his allies followed right after him. Kingpin and his army of Mafia gangs disappeared into the portal. Once the last of them had gone through the portal closed behind them.

Mexico City, Mexico…

Victor Creed was currently sitting on the balcony of a hotel waiting for his transport to arrive. He had finished his previous job not too long ago and had been in contact with the Red Skull to. He had given the red skinned man his coordinates and was starting to get a little bored with all the waiting. But he didn't have to wait for much longer as a blue portal appeared in front of him in the air. He chuckled and said, "Wanting to do things the fun way, huh?"

Getting up, Sabertooth took a few steps back before dropping down on all fours and leaping for the portal. He went through and it quickly disappeared in a flash.

Outside of San Francisco…

Cletus Kasady, Carnage and Frances Barrison, aka Shriek, were waiting within the Red Wood forest. They had ditched the ruined car a few miles back and had gotten into contact with the Red Skull not too long ago. Frances looked to her beloved and asked, "So, we're gonna get our revenge on that Eddie guy and his alien friend? In some other dimension?"

"That's the sum of it." Kasady nodded, still hardly believing it himself. Pointing to herself she said, "But I'm still wanting revenge on Mulligan for what he did to me."

"And we will." Cletus promised when he walked up to her and took her hands into his. Kasady heard Carnage say into his head, "Uh, I'd say get a room, but since we're together it'd be pointless."

"Way to ruin the moment, man." Kasady shook his head with a huff and it made Shriek playfully roll her eyes. Pointing to her boyfriend she said, "I think it's kind of cute what the two of you have."

"Don't get started." Kasady and Carnage said when a red tendril appeared. They didn't have to wait much longer when a blue portal appeared next to them. Cletus and Frances stood next to each other as they looked at the swirling vortex. Holding up his hand, Cletus smiled when he asked, "Shall we?"

"Let's do this, babe!" Shriek said before they both walked towards the portal. They disappeared through it and it closed in a flash.

Hidden Hydra Base…

The Red Skull waited to see who or what would emerge from the portals. He wasn't disappointed as a good number of people emerged from them. Wilson Fisk and his vast crew, Victor Creed and Cletus Kasady with a woman by his side. The Red Skull looked to all of them and said, "If we are ready to begin."

"We are." Fisk nodded with a grin. Sabertooth and the host of Carnage nodded as well. Johann Schmidt then drew his hands to himself and it caused the three portals behind the new recruits to turn into wisps of energy. Then sharply turning around he brought them together and formed a much larger portal. When it was stable enough to cross through, the Red Skull started to walk towards the gate. He looked back and said, "If you would follow after me, my friends."

The groups behind him looked to each before following after him. The four major villains took the lead while the soldiers followed from behind them.

Helicarrier…

The S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier was flying high over the Atlantic Ocean, keeping an eye out for trouble. Alarms started going off on the monitors in the control room. Maria Hill walked up to one of the monitors and took a look at it when she knelt down a little. Her eyes widened when she saw what it was saying. She looked back to her director and said, "Sir, there's been a spike on the monitor. Up to four times.

"It's the power of the Tesseract." She informed him. From his spot at the back before a large conference table, Nick turned to her and asked, "Location?"

"Three portals were opened up in New York City, Mexico City and just outside of San Francisco at the same time." She said when she looked over the data. Then walking back to him she said, "The final spike was much bigger and it originated on an island near Madagascar."

"Then chart a course." Fury ordered and she nodded. Then he added, "And call what remaining forces we have to rendezvous with us. We'll need all the fire power we can muster for this fight."

"Yes, sir." Maria Hill said as she went to relay his orders. Nick watched her go before gazing to the large window of the Helicarrier. He could only hope that they weren't too late to stop Hydra and bring the heroes back home.

Fire Lord's Palace, Fire Nation…

In the Fire Lord's throne room, a collection of the Fire Nation's generals were standing at attention before their leader. They faced away from the Fire Lord as they awaited the return of Johann Schmidt and his recruits. They didn't have to wait for much longer as a large portal opened up before the entrance of the throne room. A second later, the Red Skull emerged and was soon followed by those he had found. The Fire Nation was greatly surprised by the increase in numbers as they watched the large group of people come closer. When they were close enough, the Red Skull stopped as did the other villains. Johann Schmidt lifted his gaze to the Fire Lord and said, "I have returned.

Author's Note: I know that this is a great deal shorter than every other chapter in this series. And while this chapter did mostly focus on the gathering of the villains, but I had to give S.H.I.E.L.D. a little screen time as well. I had originally planned for it to be longer, but it changed when I thought of something a lot more brilliant and better for the story. And I know that you were thinking that there would be a lot more villains, but worry not, they will come in due time. I look forward to writing the final few chapters of Book 2. I look forward to reading your reviews. Be sure to leave a comment either about if I've done something wrong or if you want something specifically to happen. See you next time and may God bless your day.
