a/n: jeez it's been a long time since I've posted something. This one's been in my head for a very long time. I mean…who could resist my three favorite things? I do not own any recognizable characters, just my OC, Jasey

"You sure about this, Jase? I'd hate like hell to have you so far from home." Bobby Singer asked his daughter, Jasey, as she sat across the worn kitchen table, a letter sitting unfolded between them. As far as Jasey was concerned, there may as well be a canyon between them.

The stationary was from Arcadia University, and it was an acceptance to the university's audio engineering program-one that very few people got accepted into, and one that would take Jasey exactly where she wanted to be, which was as far away from Sioux Falls, North Dakota as it was possible to be. Jasey had been doing Dual enrollment college courses since her sophomore year of high school, so at the tender age of 17, and being just about to graduate High School, she'd been offered early admission, and she was poised to make her escape.

Especially from-

The back door flew open, revealing two young men, one around Jasey's own age, and one a bit older. They were similarly clad in jeans and flannels, and without looking up from the table,Jasey would bet money that the shorter, older one, wore an impish grin on his handsome face.

"I'm tellin' ya Sammy, that geezer didn't know what he was talkin' about!" the shorter, older brother-Dean, said, swaggering to the fridge and pulling out a beer as though he owned the place. Bobby rolled his eyes and pulled the beer from the boy's hand, opening the beer and taking a swig of it himself.

"Nice try, boy. You know the rules. Your daddy may let you run wild, but in my house you're still too young for a few more months." He turned back to Jasey. "See, kid? You gonna up and leave me to deal with this by my lonesome?"

"Whoah, who's leavin'?"Dean asked, sitting down-this time with a root beer-and looking between Bobby and Jasey. The other boy, Sam, leaned in the doorway silently. He'd never been one to be very verbose, and he and Jasey had been close until-no. Jasey would not allow herself to go there.

"Me." She said more to the kitchen table than to Dean. Dean finally noticed the letter, and picked it up.

"Dear Jullianna Carter-Dean sniggered at Jasey's legal name-blah blah blah smarty pants stuff, congrats on bein' a giant nerd…full ride…Jesus, Jasey, you're really doing this, huh? Getting' out of the family business and going to" He consulted the letter "Philly?" He looked at her with green eyes full of a mixture of pride and concern. Jasey nodded. Strangely enough, this served to solidify her resolve.

"Well, I'm proud of you."

Six months later, Jasey was packing up her car-a '66 Mustang (as a graduation gift, Bobby had allowed her to pick a car from the tow yard that had been her home since Jasey had been four months old and her parents had been killed by a demon in Vermont. The only stipulation was that she needed to fix it up herself. The end result was her pride and joy. The mustang was cherry red, with chrome accents and an engine that roared like a panther on the hunt.

"Don't forget us little people when you make it out there." He said with his signature crooked grin."Have fun on the lawful side of town!" He gave her a long hug. Dean had been the big brother Jasey had always wanted. Albeit annoying and overprotective.

"Be safe, Kid." Bobby said, hugging the young woman he'd raised. He felt immense pride, but also fear that he wouldn't be able to protect her if she left.

As she climbed into the driver's seat of her car, Jasey spotted Sam standing on the porch. She gave him a small, sad smile as their eyes met. Taking a deep breath, she threw the Mustang into gear and drove away from the only home she'd ever known, not allowing the tears to flow until she'd crossed the state line several hours later.

-NOW-

"Earth to Jasey!" Alex Gaskarth said, waving his tattooed hand back and forth in front of Jasey's face. Jasey shook herself out of her memories, the rumbling of the tour bus shaking her back to reality.

"What?" she said, blinking at the sandy-haired boy. They were sitting in the back lounge of the tour bus, the other occupants of the bus in various stages of boredom. Jack Barakat, the Guitarist of the group, was absently picking at his favorite acoustic as he lay across the couch next to Jasey and Alex. Zack Merrick, the bassist, was playing a game on his phone, while Rian Dawson-the drummer-was listening to music and reading a book.

"Wow, you were out of it. I said what do you think about them holding Bamboozle in the new spot this year?"

Jasey shrugged. "I mean, I guess it'll be cool. I still can't believe y'all are headlining this year. Who'd have thought you losers would draw a crowd?" She dodged a pillow, laughing at her friend's antics.

It had been three years since she'd left Sioux Falls. Two years at Arcadia and taking an insane course load had brought her a Bachelor's degree (thank you dual enrollment for basically allowing her to knock out her prerequisites), and she had been all set to begin looking for jobs in her field. As luck would have it, one fell into her lap nearly immediately after graduation.

She'd intended to take a summer off to travel and see more than just New York, Philly, and the occasional trip to Jersey for Bamboozle, the local music festival. However, an internship had brought her in contact with the tour promoter for Vans Warped Tour, which had in turn brought her a "summer gig" as a guitar tech for All Time Low. Nearly a year later and that "Summer Gig" had turned into a full time position as a sound engineer and a steady friendship with the band that was bordering on Familial. It worked out wonderfully for Jasey, since All Time Low toured year round, which gave her the perfect excuse to stay away from home.

"Where are they setting up the festival this year, again?" she asked.

"Somewhere called 'Crystal Lake', we're pulling in tonight, actually." Jack piped up, putting his guitar to the side and stretching out, laying his head on Jasey's lap. Almost instinctively, she began running her hands through his hair-he kept it longer, with a patch of blond. Jasey called it his "skunk hair". He closed his eyes, a small smile playing across his lips.

"Have you guys read about that place?" Zack said, putting his phone down and joining the conversation. "About the camp across the lake from where we're setting up? Apparently a lot of creepy stuff is going on."

"What do you mean?" Jasey asked, leaning forward and tucking a strand of chocolate brown hair behind her ear. Her interest was piqued despite herself. Her Hunter's senses were tingling.

'It's just a ghost story, nothing more…" she thought, not allowing her mind to even consider the possibility that her new world and the world she'd grown up in were about to mix. She was definitely not going to let her mind wander to the lock box that was hidden under a false bottom in her suitcase.

Zack sat cross-legged in his seat, going into full storyteller mode.

"Well, apparently, like, forever ago, it was a working summer camp. The counselors weren't paying attention and, well….one of the workers had bought her kid to the camp that day. He drowned in the lake and the worker blamed them. The camp closed down."

Everyone was listening with rapt attention as Zack put his "spooky voice". Jasey was beginning to feel a pit in her stomach.

"Now, every few years they try and re-open the place, but something always happens. This past time, like six counselors died bloody. Very creepy. Some people say that the camp worker never left and she wants to make sure the camp is never opened again. "

Jasey's stomach was sinking. This sounded suspiciously familiar.

Rian looked at Jasey quizzically from his spot on the floor. "You alright, J?" He asked. "You look like you've seen a ghost."

Jack scoffed, looking up at Jasey. "Aw, babe, don't be scared! It's just a story!" she rolled her eyes, smacking him softly upside the head.

"I'm going to bed." She said shortly. She pushed Jack off of her and stood, heading for her bunk. She pulled herself into her bunk, trying her damnedest to put Zack's story out of her mind. She tossed and turned in the tiny bunk, but sleep would not come. Even when one of the boys-she recognized Alex's playing-started playing a calm, melodic song.

'No harm just looking into it…just to ease my mind.' She thought, sitting up in her bunk and pulling her laptop towards her. She was trying very hard to convince herself that she was being silly, that it was just a ghost story the bassist had made up to freak them out.

Her mind wandered to Dean Winchester for the first time in a very long time. He'd always loved telling silly stories to freak her and Sam out.

Heart in her throat, she called up the browser and typed in:

"Camp Crystal Lake"

To Jasey's dismay, the search returned many hits…over 40 missing persons cases and murders had plagued the camp. Jasey read three articles before she shut her computer and forced herself to go to sleep.

'What the hell have I gotten myself into?' was her last thought before sleep finally overtook her.
