About half an hour later, Raven and Dexter were sitting at an outdoor cinema.
"I wasn't hexpecting this place to be so packed," whispered Raven as she took notice of the dozen or so couples that sat around them, paying more attention to each other than the movie.
"Yeah, but it makes sense when you think about it being Satinday," whispered Dexter as he reached out to take hold of her hand. However, Raven tensed up and her magic reacted by giving him a slight zap, making him really back but also noticing the way Raven was looking.
"Raven," said Dexter. The next thing they knew, everyone was frozen around them by a blast wave of magic that came from the purple haired witch.
"Okay, I didn't mean to do that," said Raven who looked around with a remorseful expression.
"Is something wrong, Raven?" asked Dexter.
"Of course not, everything is alright," said Raven. Even though she was saying that her expression said otherwise.
"You don't have to lie, I understand that you just agreed to come here because you didn't want to hurt my feelings," said Dexter. The witch took a minute to answer, but when she finally did, she let out a sigh before answering him.
"I'm sorry, Dexter," said a sad Raven.
"It's alright, but why go through with this if I'm not the person you like?" asked Dexter while giving her a confused expression.
"You're a good friend, and I didn't want to hurt you, like you said," said Raven.
"Thanks, now why don't we get out of here, maybe you can get back in time to tell Apple how you feel about her," said Dexter as he stood up and gave the witch a knowing grin.
"What… what are you talking about… I," stammered Raven as her face went bright red.
"You said you liked a Royal, but you didn't say a gender, so I took a guess," said Dexter.
"By the way you just reacted I would say that I was right," he said.
"Wow, I honestly didn't think you had a wicked bone in your body, Dexter, but I guess this proves me wrong," said Raven as she stood.
