Lapin ended up enjoying the movie somewhat, sure there'd been a lot of predictable lines, but that was to be expected. It was a hero movie focused towards children. He highly doubted that there was a more mature version in existence like there was for DC or Marvel heroes. Kaito had been surprisingly animated during the film, quiet, but his subtle body movements made it easy to tell that the other had been enjoying the movie.

When the end credits came up, Lapin was shocked. Had that been the first time that he'd ever seen a whole movie in theatre before? Normally someone would have dropped dead part way through, usually during the climax.

"What's wrong?" Kaito inquired, looking concerned "I doubt that the movie scared you" So why was Lapin just staring at the credits?

Lapin blinked, shaking his head before meeting Kaito's gaze "I've never been to the movies without someone dying before" He answered.

"Huh" Kaito's brows were furrowed "Maybe it's because people are less likely to kill others with so many children around?" There were probably more children watching Yaiba compared to the other screens.

"No, even when I was a kid-" He paused, lowering his voice "Even when I was a kid the first time around, there were still murders" He purposely neglected to mention that some people did some crazy things during children's movies in theatres. It was highly disturbing.

Kaito grinned "Maybe I'm lucky?" While he's had his fair share of bad luck in life, things have turned out well despite the odds.

Lapin just rolled his eyes "We should leave before it turns out that there was a murder in the washrooms" He didn't want to push whatever luck he had. It was also way too soon for Kuroba Lapin to appear in front of familiar officers. Even with Kaito at his side, he didn't want misunderstandings to happen. Though were they really misunderstandings if the suspicions were correct?

"Right" The two of them made sure they had all their wrappers accounted for before leaving. There'd been enough time for the theatre to have mostly cleared out. When they neared the exit, Kaito frowned when he realized that it'd started raining. He eyed Lapin "Are you up for another movie?" He inquired jokingly.

"Not really" Lapin replied, there were no 'age appropriate films' playing right now. Trying to view the more mature movies would raise a lot of questions. Especially since Kaito didn't even look his age in the first place.

Kaito hummed then made his wheelchair start heading out the door "I guess we're getting wet then" He didn't mind getting wet.

"Do you have some raincoats packed or something?" Lapin asked, lingering just inside the door. The other at least had a few things packed in his wheelchair, maybe raincoats were included.

Indigos blinked, and Kaito wheeled himself back towards Lapin "Yup" He pulled out a pretty pink raincoat. It had cartoon flowers all over it.

Lapin blanched, it was so cutesy... Wait "That won't fit me" It would be too big for him, thank god.

Kaito nodded "Yeah, it's mine. I haven't gotten you one yet so you can wear mine" He held out the coat.

Azure narrowed "Are you messing with me? That can't possibly be your coat"

"It is" Kaito snickered, pulling out his phone to locate a picture. He pulled it up and showed Lapin the screen. It was a picture of him and Aoko, Aoko was wearing a sensible blue raincoat, but Kaito was wearing the offending pink coat. He slipped his phone back in his pocket "I already stick out as it is, I might as well wear what I want"

Shoulders slumping, Lapin accepted the pink coat, slipping it on "I'm going to trip and fall on my face" He deadpanned. It was too big, even though Kaito was short.

Kaito eyed Lapin "I guess the wheelchair skews my perception of height" It didn't look ridiculous on Lapin, but it was big enough on him to be a hazard "You can sit on my lap if you want, I wouldn't feel it so it's no bother" He'd feel bad if Lapin tripped while he was already feeling embarrassed by his coat "Just shift your position once in a while, I can't tell when my circulation gets cut off"

Lapin weighed the pros and cons of walking by himself and decided that he'd rather not eat dirt "Just until we hit somewhere that sells raincoats" He then allowed himself to be picked up. It was weird because they barely knew each other, but less embarrassing than sitting on Ran's lap.

"I think the store around the corner sells some coats" Kaito offered. They were cheap things not meant to last, but it would do until they got Lapin a proper raincoat.

"Okay, let's check it out" Lapin agreed. Obtaining a coat was vital for the future. He did not want to wear Kaito's coat any longer than he had too. It was an ugly thing that shouldn't exist.

"We'll get you an umbrella too if there are any good ones" Kaito added as he steered them in the direction of the aforementioned store. Some of the items were good quality, just not the raincoats.

"Why don't you have your umbrella packed?" Lapin inquired, Kaito was already soaked.

Kaito frowned "It's too tedious trying to use an umbrella with my wheelchair or crutches" He'd just rather use a coat "I also like being able to manually direct myself in an emergency instead of relying on the motor" He had more finesse when manually steering himself that an electric wheelchair just didn't have.

"Ah" Lain felt silly, he should have inferred that. Even with two functioning legs, an umbrella could get in the way of things.

"Yeah" Kaito agreed with a smile as they reached the store. He gave Lapin the money, opting to wait outside since he was soaked and would just make a mess. It wasn't like he could get anymore wet than he already was.

Lapin was quick to hop off his lap and head into the store, stumbling a bit in his haste. He really couldn't get rid of the coat quick enough.
