It was like any other day at the BAU in Quantico. It was the end of the day and they just finished a case.
While everyone was packing up, JJ came over to Reid and started talking to him.
"Hey Spence" she said, smiling a bit as she sat down on the edge of Reid's desk.
"Hey JJ" Reid replied back not looking at her as he was still reading a book on an author he met during the investigation.
"Want to get some drinks with the rest of us?" the blonde asked as she put a hand on the book the young genius was reading.
"I think I'm going to just head back home and call it a night" the genius said as he moved JJ's hand off his book and got up still reading.
"Suit yourself" said the blonde as she got off of Reid's desk and walked over to Prentis, Hotch, and Rossi.
As Reid continued to read as he packed up, he heard Morgan talking to Garcia and he happened to hear what he was saying to her.
"Hey baby girl" Morgan said like he usually does when he greets her. "Would you like to accompany me tonight?"
"Oh my Dark Chocolate Thunder. You know I would love to accompany you tonight" replied the computer genius as she smiled and laughed a bit.
Reid looked up from his book and over at Morgan and Garcia. He watched as Morgan held out his arm to Garcia and she linked her arm with his. Reid quickly looked away as he noticed Morgan looking at him.
Reid grabbed the rest of his stuff and quickly walked out of the room before everyone else did and walked to the elevator and clicked on the down button. As he got on, he watched as Morgan kissed Garcia on the cheek and how Garcia playfully slapped Morgan on the arm. Reid looked down as the elevator door closed and slowly went down to the parking garage.
When he reached the parking garage and the doors opened, he walked to his car and put his stuff in the passenger seat before getting into the driver's seat. He sat there for a bit before he saw Morgan and Garcia get off the elevator and go over to Garcia's car. He didn't want to see but something made him stay there and watch.
As Morgan got in the drivers seat and pulled out, Reid sat there for a minute before deciding to follow them.
As he followed them, he made sure not to follow too closely and stayed behind two to three cars behind Morgan and Garcia so he wouldn't be seen.
After a 20 minute drive, he followed the two to a bar and parked far away from them.
He waited for them to go into the bar and waited a few minutes before following them. He walked into the bar and saw them sitting near the back of the bar. He made sure that he wouldn't be seen so he ordered a beer and put his hood on and passed by Garcia and Morgan and sat in the corner not too far from the two. As he got his beer, he started listening to the conversation Morgan and Garcia were having.
"So baby girl, how's it going?" the older agent asked as he took a sip from his beer.
"It's going fine my prince charming" the computer genius responded as she took a sip of her margarita.
"Anything new happening in your life?" Morgan asked.
"You mean other than looking at a screen for over 12 hours watching men tourture and listening to the girls screaming as I tried to help you with your investigation?" the computer genius replied, sounding a bit terrified at the thought. "I'm perfectly fine"
"I know how much that must have hurt but you really helped us out there baby girl" the older agent replied smiling.
"But enough about me" the computer genius said as she took a huge sip from her martini. "How's it going with Dr. Spencer Reid?"
"What do you mean?" the older agent asked, sounding a bit confused.
"Oh don't act like I haven't seen anything," the girl replied, smiling widely. "Everyone has noticed the way you look at Reid and the way you talk to him."
"There's nothing going on between us," the agent replied, shaking his head. "Were just good friends that's all"
"Just good friends?" the computer genius replied. "You have a close bond with Reid and we all know it."
"Look, whatever you're thinking, nothing is going on" the agent told the computer genius as he chugged his beer down and looked around.
"Sureeeee" the computer genius smiled mischievously.
"Look," the agent started saying. "I love the kid and all but there's something about him that I hate."
"Like what?" the girl asked curiously.
"The way he always speaks his mind and he tries to make himself so intelligent even though he is. But even if he is, it's gets to the point where you want to just tell him to shut up or just walk out of the room because he's so annoying and talkative. Then you have it when he's going on and on about things that aren't even important and no one cares about at all…."
Reid had enough of listening to the conversation.
He got up and walked past Morgan and Garcia but as he passed Morgan, he purposely pushed him and walked out of the bar. He heard Morgan yell at him but Reid didn't bother to look back at him. He got into his car and drove off.
"Is that how you see me Morgan?!" the young genius yelled as he drove back home. "An annoying genius who's only trying to help and you think I'm annoying just because of how much I talk?! Fuck you!"
As Reid continued to drive home, he started tearing up. He heard his phone ring but didn't bother picking it up. All he wanted to do right now is pretend he never heard what Morgan said and wished it was all just a dream.
And the only reason why he wanted to wish that was because of one major reason:
He loved Derek Morgan,
